Hi-Dilly-Doh guys! It's me, DevilsZack00 with the new chapter of Final Fantasy XV, Journey In Remnant- Ok no, it's not the full chapter, april foo- wait, I'm even late for that, damn ;-;
Anyway, sorry for two months of literal AFK, but a lot of things happened IRL to me, both good and bad. A few examples:
1- During february, my uncle and aunt's house
the apartment below my aunt and aunt's caught fire, so it was a hell of a day.
2- Elder Ring Elder Ring Elder Ring
3- CHAOS- I mean, Final Fantasy Origin (I managed to beat it, and wow...it gave me a lot of ideas for a story-)
4- Work Work and Work
5- I decided to create a community server on discord called "Studio FANTASY", where all of you can talk about your things, share and promote your works and play together like...y'know, a community server. Of course, I am avaliable for a talk or something. I will use the server for post updates on the future chapters as well, and even help you if you want help for your own stories. I will let you know when the server will be online for everyone.
6- At the same time, I'm creating a -p-a-t-r-e-o-n- for people who wants to help me in that way. Of course, donators will obtain certain gifts, boosts and perks as well (i.e. Your OC will be included in a story and so on).
So basically, yeah. I was busy. I actually finished Chapter 11 in mid-February, but I didn't like the way it was designed, and so it's currently under the third rework process. Yeeeah...so I planned at least to give you a preview of the new chapter at least. Enjoy this preview!
Next morning. Sunday. Beacon Academy…
"Zzzzzzzzzzzz…" Prompto snorted, hugging his pillow. After returning late at night with Yang, Prompto collapsed directly onto the bed in Team NIGP's room without even changing, sleeping in his casual clothes. He was having a good dream until—
"Bloody hell!" Ignis' scream startled Prompto who jumped up, eyes wide.
"WHATWHEREWHO?!" He said, then he noticed Noctis, Gladio and Ignis who were all three reading the newspaper. All three had a shocked look on their faces."...Heh? What happened?"
The answer he got was Noctis throwing him his copy of the paper. "Front page buddy" Noctis said.
Scratching his head, Prompto shrugged as he picked up the newspaper. Yawning, the gunslinger decided to listen to his friend— "The Wall?! Bahamut?!" The front page of the newspaper, in fact, showed a photo of the huge Lucian cruiser presented to the whole world hours before, together with the announcement about the Wall. "For Oum, what is the meaning?!"
"It happened that the world moved on. It's literally a fuck you to Atlas" Crossing his arms, Gladio commented as he glanced at Noctis. "But to be honest: Better us than them" He said, nodding his head towards the Ironwood Atlesian warship stationed in Vale.
Noctis scratched his right cheek. "That's true, but probably Atlas will not like this"
"Noct, for now it is better to think of us and not of Atlas" Ignis adjusted his glasses.
"Huuuh, why?" Asked both Prompto and Noctis.
"Today all the remaining exchange students of the other academies will arrive here, including the young recruits of the Kingsglaive Academy, remember?" Ignis walked over to the closet in the room, then he pulled out the black jacket of his casual attire.
"Oh, right" Noctis smiled as he remembered the days at the academy. Nodding to Prompto, Noctis grinned. "Maybe we can meet one of our old buddies"
Unlike the other Remnant academies, the Kingdom of Lucis had decided to build more Kingsglaive Academy locations, where recruits could join the Glaives or, after the first reforms during their first year in Remnant, get the official ID as huntsmen and huntresses.
"Oh yeah!" Prompto raised a fist.
"By the way Prompto" Gladio put his right hand on Prompto's left shoulder. A strange smile was present on his face. "Where have you been last night?"
"!" Prompto's face twisted in horror as he realized what he was talking about. Turning his gaze to Ignis and Noctis, Prompto silently begged for help. Unfortunately for him, contrary to what he hoped, Noctis and Ignis did not help him. Ignis shook his head as he put on his jacket, while Noctis smiled instead, as if he meant 'I'll miss you buddy'.
"Come on Prompto, don't be shy~" Gladio's left hand was on Prompto's right shoulder now...and this meant only one thing…
"Pleasenobigguypleasenobigguy!" Prompto prayed to every Astral in existence, hoping Noct and Ignis would save him from Gladio's favorite wrestling move: The Gladiolus Buster. But his friends had left him alone in the lion's den when he saw him leave the room.
"Goodbye Prompto. I will remember you"
"Sorry buddy. It's me or you"
"Nononono guys, please!" Prompto tried to reach them, but unfortunately the door to the room closed in front of him. The only thing that was heard immediately afterwards were Prompto's screams of terror, followed by Gladio who screamed.
"HEAVENLY! GLADIOLUS! BUUUUSTER!"
Chapter 11: Signs of love (Days of sun part 2)
A few minutes later. Beacon Dining Hall…
Sitting at the table with Yang, Weiss and Team JNPR, Ruby was holding the chain of the mysterious pendant in her left hand. She had estranged herself from her friends' current conversation (The only thing she understood was: break some legs ...?), to concentrate on observing the pendant.
Ever since she woke up, all her friends of hers were asking her where she got it, but the only answer she could give about her was 'I don't remember'. Clearly it was a lie, but the lie was better than saying "I received it in a dream from a woman".
After a while, Ruby decided to put it back around her neck when she saw Nora's huge smirk. "Huuuuh, Nora? Why are you smirking—"
"Soooooooooooooooo" The ginger haired girl started to talk, still grinning at Ruby. "I was thinking: You and Noctis, did you...y'know~?"
The mere mention of Noctis interrupted the conversation of their friends, who turned to Ruby who hid under the hood of her cloak. "A-And? What do yo—"
"Oh oh, do you think that we forgot?" Weiss crossed her arms. "Remember? After our investigation?"
'Uhoh!' Ruby thought as the reality around her seemed to shatter. She hadn't considered the possibility that Weiss could betray her like that.
"Oh yeah, that!" Yang grinned.
"Ooooooooooh, I like where this is going" Nora said. "Come on, tell us! Tell us!"
Ren shook his head. "Can't you give up, Nora?"
"Uh? What happened between them?" Jaune asked, pretty confused.
"I'm curious, honestly" Pyrrha commented.
Unfortunately, every single human being has a breaking point. And Ruby surpassed her breaking point. Lifting her head and closing her eyes, Ruby finally gave up, much to the delight of her friends. "OKAY WE ACCIDENTALY KISSED DURING THE INVESTIGATION!" Then, she slammed her head lightly against the table, hiding the visible blush on her face. "...Are you happy now?"
"Finally!" Yang first raised her arms to the sky, then she hugged Ruby. Being her older sister, she was the first one who was waiting for this to happen. "So, how it was? I—We want every single detail" She said after she saw the other girls nod various time.
"Eeehm, I don't know if me and Ren—" Jaune raised a finger, trying to talk.
"Then go away vomit boy" Glaring at Jaune, Weiss coldly stated.
"It only happened once…" Sighing, Jaune comically lowered his head, getting patted by Ren. Truly, what a brotherhood moment.
"It was…" Back to Ruby, the girl closed her eyes, recalling that moment in her mind. Even if accidental, her first kiss was something so beautiful. "...awesome"
"...Awesome, really?" Nora said with no emotions in her voice.
"What, it's a problem?" Ruby raised her head from the table.
"Weeeeell" Yang shrugged. "Y'know sis, sometimes the first kiss is more...detailed?"
"Your sister is right" Pyrrha said as she nodded a few times, imitated by Weiss.
"I—"
«To all students, you have all been urgently summoned to the amphitheatre. Every student must show up within 5 minutes.»
...Okay, that announcement was pretty anticlimactic, but at least it had saved Ruby from being interrogated by her friends. Rising, the red-hooded girl smiled. "Ups, looks like we had to go~"
