And now, a brand new chapter! Anyway, enjoy!
"I feel abused..."
Lalavava's eyes furrowed in anger as she was now out of her ballerina uniform and into a pretty pink dress, with blush decorated on her cheeks and holding a tea cup with her pinky out as Dee Dee and Mee Mee were now having a tea party.
"More tea, my dear Mee Mee?" Dee Dee asked as she picked up a teapot from the tea set.
"Why, certainly, my friend." Mee Mee said in a fake British accent as she held her tea cup. Dee Dee tipped the teapot as Lalavava was just staring at this moment with pure, unadulterated hatred.
"There's not even real tea in that cup!" Lalavava pointed out.
Dee Dee shook her head in sympathy at her new short "friend". "Poor Vee Vee. Always trying to bring down the mood."
"VEE VEE?" Lalalvava's eyes snapped open in shock.
"It makes sense, girl. And since Lalavava doesn't fit the new scheme name, we dediced to take 'Vava' and shorten it down to Vee Vee." Dee Dee grinned.
"Makes sense to me!" Mee Mee giggled.
"No it doesn't. You just got rid of the first suffix of my name and just replaced the a's in '-vava' with two e's each." Lalavava growled. "If I had known you were going to do this, you could have just called me Olga."
"Awww, but Olga's just not as fun to say, Vee Vee." Dee Dee giggled as she put her hand on the short girl's head, rubbing her hand. "Silly goose."
Lalavava looked over at the blonde in anger. "When I get out of this, you're going to wish you were never born..."
As Mee Mee pretended to sip her tea, she put it down as she looked back in concern. "I wonder just how much longer Lee Lee is going to take with your parents. She's missing a rather fun tea party with our new BFF."
"First of all, we are not BFFs! And second..." Lalavava started to shout, before sighing. "It could be quite a while. Once my parents get into meditating, they zone out for a good while. I think they can only get out of it is if they want me or my brother to join him, or when it's time for meals."
"If you say so..." Dee Dee paused, before sighing. "You know, it's fun initiating you to our ranks, Vee Vee..."
"THAT'S NOT MY NAME!" Lalavava shouted.
Dee Dee didn't register the spout of anger Lalavava spat out as she continued, "...but you told us that your brother owns a secret lab, right? Which means, you should have full access to it at anytime, right?"
Lalavava frowned as she rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I guess, but like I said, I don't usually go in there unless I need so-"
"Can we see it?" Dee Dee and Mee Mee asked, looking eager.
Lalavava looked rather surprised as she looked between the two girly girls, before giving a small smirk to herself.
"Our Susan was born in our lovely hometown of Flowertopia, a place where man and beast lived side by side, peace and harmony reigned, and anybody who is anybody could live." Oceanbird explained as she, Windbear and Lee Lee were holding a meditative stance. Lee Lee nodded as she followed along with the story. "But even as he was born, we always felt that he was... different than the other folks. Oh sure, we raised him pretty well at birth to a young age, even christening him with a name that was beyond the conforms of society and without preconceived gender connotations."
"A name whispered softly through the canyon winds." Windbear smiled. "Yes, Oceanbird, I believe I remember that day. His cries when Susan was given his name meant that he loved it."
Lee Lee couldn't help but feel the opposite was the case as Windbear continued, "We lived a pretty good life in our town, helping our son learn our ways, meditating, treating nature as our own..."
Oceanbird then gave a slight giggle. "The occasional moments where we strip away our confines once in a while and just walk with the wind blowing on our terrestrial forms..."
"Uh, a little too much information..." Lee Lee said to herself.
"But anyway, we always felt that our Susan was... a little different. Like he didn't like our ways." Windbear sighed.
"Sad, but true." Oceanbird sighed. "He always seemed fascinated by this strange device that was dropped in our home one day. We don't know where it came from or why it was there, but it seemed to distract our little Susan so much, and rooted something in him. We tried to get Susan to understand that he's a flower child destined for greatness, but... alas..."
"During one of his annual name days, he just rejected the gifts we gave him, wanting more out of life." Windbear said.
"Wow... sounds like he didn't want anything to do with your lifestyle. I don't understand why, considering I can feel some peaceful vibes." Lee Lee said.
"Thank you, dear." Oceanbird smiled a bit. "But anyway, as much as Susan's temper was a bit too much, we knew it was a phase he was going through... but he did have a point. As much as my husband and I loved our home in Flowertopia, we wanted nothing more than to make our son happy, maybe in hopes that he can give up some of these dark desires he has. So we packed our gear and started to go around the world, stopping at various places to meditate in peace and quiet. And all the experiences were rather wonderful."
"The only pictures we were allowed to take were the ones that were ingrained in our minds." Windbear explained. "Eventually, even people like us would have to earn some money. Even though we have no use for it, sometimes, it's necessary if we wanted to live our best lives. And with our lovely Olga on the way, it became more necessary to get a little breathing room. Eventually, about a couple years or so after Olga was born, we made enough to at least buy a small house in a nice, quiet town. We figured that this place would be perfect for our little Susan to hopefully embrace our ways. And honestly, it felt close to working."
"But..." Lee Lee opened one eye as she looked over at the parents.
"Well, one week, he came home, seemingly upset over something as he just marched upstairs, didn't even acknowledge us... except for the words, "I hate the name Susan". Another part of the phase, but we were sure it would pass eventually." Oceanbird said.
Lee Lee had a weird feeling that what Mandark's parents said wasn't technically the case. She gave a sigh, having a feeling there was more than they were letting on... but she felt that this was all she was getting out of the parents as Windbear continued, "He didn't come out for a week after that, but after that week had passed, he came back, wearing not his regular flower child clothing, but in some... dark and sinister outfit. He insisted on being called a different name, but we all know he is Susan, through and through."
Now Lee Lee couldn't help but wonder just how much of the story was accurate as Oceanbird said, "We self-taught our children for a couple years until our Susan insisted on attending public school. We decided to comply to our son's wishes, hoping that maybe public school would help him learn more about the world."
"We don't feel it right, but whatever made our children happy. It did give Oceanbird and I the idea to get our Olga to do some extracurricular activities, so we signed her up for a ballet school." Windbear said.
"I believe you're attending that same ballet school?" Oceanbird asked.
Lee Lee opened her eyes in surprise. "How did-"
"It's the outfit." Oceanbird giggled. "That, and sometimes, we can go into a deep meditative trance so big that sometimes, we can see a glimpse of someone's future..."
"And may we say, it looks like you might have a successful future at best." Windbear smiled.
"Really?" Lee Lee asked. "Why's that?"
"In a few years time, you'll be married to a brilliant mind." Oceanbird and Windbear said simultaneously.
That definitely got Lee Lee's attention. "Who?"
"Sorry, we can't say much. Besides, we don't even know that person's name." Windbear sighed. "But don't worry. It's just a glimpse of ONE future. Who knows how many futures you have."
Lee Lee looked surprised as she looked over at Mandark's parents, honestly not sure what to think, her mind wandering to Dee Dee and Mee Mee, wondering what they were doing...
Dee Dee and Mee Mee were looking around the large laboratory in interest as Lalavava was walking around the area, explaining, "Yeah, I suppose the laboratory looks cool and all, but they're all delicate machinery. My stupid brother always says 'be gentle with the inventions'."
"Why?" Dee Dee asked.
"He seems to have this inferior complex if something of his were to be destroyed. I should know, one of his inventions cracked one time and he went into complete despair..." Lalavava rolled her eyes.
"Oh wow..." Mee Mee said in surprise. "What did you break?"
"No, that invention broke itself." Lalavava asked.
"Wait, you mean you go into your brother's lab, and you never have the urge to touch or break anything?" Dee Dee gasped.
"Why would I?" Lalavava asked.
"Well..." Dee Dee rolled her eyes to think, before screaming, "BECAUSE IT'S FUN! Come on, let's see what we can break!"
"You said it, girl!" Mee Mee screamed in delight as the two of them started to run around, touching various buttons in the laboratory as they started to explode.
Lalavava could only watch with an eyeroll. "Yeah, you shouldn't do that. My brother would be in complete despair if-"
The short girl's eyes widened in shock as what she had just said, registered with her. An evil grin started to form on her lips as she called out, "Hey! Don't destroy my brother's equipment without me!"
"OOOOOOH! What does THIS button do?!" Dee Dee said as she started pressing a curious red button on the control panel, causing one of the rockets of the lab to overload as Mee Mee started messing with the machinery before overloading them and exploding the devices. Lalavava was now sadistically throwing chemicals down on the floor as she gave a chuckle, humming a small song she heard in some ape man movie about trashing camps.
Little did they know was that at this very moment, a smug Mandark was about to teleport a certain boy genius to show off how magnificent his laboratory is to Dexter's...
And that's the end of this chapter! How did you guys like it? Next time, we'll be seeing the aftermath and Mandark's horrified reactions, with Dexter in the mix! There's going to be more to the chapter, but... we'll wait and see what happens! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, everyone!
