AN: Enjoy!

Understandably, Wanda spent the next week by Pietro's side in the Hospital. Vision stayed at the Hospital too, to give Wanda moral support, but mostly remained in the waiting room. Both of them were getting rather stiff necks from sleeping in chairs, but were otherwise fine, and Tony was taking care of Nebula, so the only reason Vision or Wanda had to leave the Hospital was when they went to give statements to the Police.

Vision left Natasha to keep Wanda company while he gave his statement. He identified the dodgy repairman, and described his version of the events leading up to Wanda and Pietro's fall.

Wanda, who had understandably needed a bit of time to recover from her own ordeal, had given her own statement a few days after Vision. After she returned to the Hospital and checked on her brother, who was propped up in bed half-watching a baseball game with Sam, she and Vision headed to the Hospital Cafeteria, where she told him about how her interview had gone.

"I just answered all their questions, gave them any information I thought would help.." Wanda explained, taking a bite out of a sandwich. "Like everything that led up to Pietro and I running away, and that I recognised the 'repair guy', Rumlow, as someone who worked for Mr. Ultron.."

For some reason that he couldn't quite understand, the name sent a chill up Vision's spine.

"Who.. Who's Mr. Ultron?"

"The man Pietro and I ran away from," Wanda continued. "Oh, right.. I've never told you his name before, have I?"

"No.." Vision poked at the remains of a fruit-cup, his appetite suddenly waning. "You haven't."

"It's not because I don't trust you" She reached across the table to take Vision's hand. "I didn't mention his name to anyone, and I don't think Pietro did either. I guess we thought it was safer, that it would make it harder for nenorocitul to find us, or maybe we used that as an excuse because we just didn't want to talk about what happened."

"I understand" Vision took her hand as she reached for him.

"Hopefully, we won't have to worry about him at all soon" Wanda continued. "The Police think they'll have enough to charge Ultron as well."

"I certainly hope so.." Vision managed a smile, not telling Wanda when he felt another shiver up his spine.

She didn't need to be worrying about his sudden bout of unease, especially not with Pietro still confined to his Hospital bed. Still, Vision wondered, why was he so uneasy? Why did the name 'Ultron' bother him so much?

Vision put the matter out of his mind. It was a problem for another time.

Sometime later, after Sam had left and Wanda had returned to her brother's side, Vision was lightly dozing in the waiting room of Pietro's Ward, when Wanda gently shook his shoulder.

"Vizh? Hey.."

"Wha.." Vision blinked, trying to wake himself up. "Wanda? What's wrong? Is Pietro okay?"

"He's am flirtat with the nurses a little Today, so yeah, he might be on the mend" Wanda chuckled. "He, uh.. He's actually asking to see you."

"Me?" Vision gulped. "Why?"

"I'm really not sure.."

"He's going to hate me again" Vision sat up, immediately panicking. All the progress he had made with Pietro was clearly ruined. "He's going to hate me, and blame me for this accident.."

"Vision, calmeaza-te. We talked about this" Wanda tried to cut him off. "It wasn't your fault."

"Your brother might not see it that way" Vision continued, still in a panic. "He's going to hate me, and blame me, and tell you he never wants you to see me again, and.. Mmm.." His ramble was cut off, successfully this time, when Wanda kissed him. He couldn't help kissing her back, relaxing into it.

"Calmeatza-te" Wanda repeated softly as she broke the kiss, stroking Vision's cheek and gazing into his eyes. "Calm down. Everything's going to be okay, it's not your fault. And even if my brother is stupid enough to try and blame you, I think we've established that it is my choice who I spend time with, not his."

"That is a good point.." Vision smiled softly, leaning into her touch.

"I'm glad you agree" Wanda smiled back. "So, let's go see what Pietro wants.."

Despite his talk with Wanda, Vision couldn't help feeling slightly nervous when Wanda led him into Pietro's room. Despite their disagreements in the past, Vision found he disliked seeing someone usually so full of energy trapped in a hospital bed. Both of Pietro's legs were now in casts, following surgery to pin and realign certain bones, his left arm was in a cast as well, and he had a number of visible bruises. When Vision and Wanda entered, Pietro used his good arm to push himself up into a sitting position.

"Baiat leu.."

"Pietro.." Wanda warned, "I know you're inflamat and grumpy, but if you're going to be rude then.."

"It's okay" Vision interrupted her. "You, uh, wanted to see me, Pietro."

"Yes" Pietro nodded. "I saw what you did.."

"Oh?" Vision began to panic once more. He envisioned Pietro yelling, wondering how he could have been stupid enough to let Rumlow past, how..

"You saved my sister."

"What?" Vision blinked, surprised.

"Before I fell" Pietro continued, a little awkwardly. "I saw.. You saved my sister."

"Yes.."

"Multumesc.. I mean, Thank you.." Slowly, Pietro raised his uninjured arm, offering Vision his hand to shake.

"Oh" Vision took it, still slightly taken aback. "You're welcome."

Wanda glanced between them, the two important men in her life, a grin slowly spreading over her face.

"So.." Pietro released Vision's hand, "Now that all that chestii moale is out of the way, I need you to take Wanda home."

"What?" Wanda's grin faded. "No! I need to be here, what if.."

"It's been a week" Pietro cut her off. "I'm stuck in bed, but anything else that could have gone wrong would have happened already. You've been stuck in that plastic chair all week, and I'm pretty sure Vision's been out in the waiting room this whole time. Frankly, Sister, you both look like rahat, and you're starting to smell like it too.."

"Thanks.." Wanda huffed.

Vision sniffed himself, and was a little embarrassed to realise that Pietro was not entirely wrong.

"Wanda, your brother may have a point.."

"Thank you! I'm actually starting to like this guy" Pietro grinned. "Look, Wanda, I'm not telling you to stay away forever. But I'm not going anywhere. My condition is stable. There's not much you can do."

"Well.." Wanda hesitated.

"Please, Wanda. Go home, get a good night's sleep in a real bed, shower, and come back fresh tomorrow.. My narile will thank you."

"You are so lucky you're already injured" Wanda glared at her twin, before relenting. "But fine, you're right, we'll go home.. but I will be back first thing in the morning, and I'd better hear that you have been behaving for the nurses."

"Of course, Sister" Pietro smirked. "I am always on my best behaviour."

Vision hurried to pull Wanda out of the room before she became too tempted to slap her brother.

So, Wanda and Vision headed back to the circus grounds (for obvious reasons, they'd had to stay in the same spot longer than usual), each showered, and headed to bed.

Although he was almost as loath as Wanda to acknowledge Pietro being right about anything, Vision had to admit that in this case, he was. Vision had checked on Nebula, changed into his pajamas (just the bottoms, the night was just warm enough not to bother with the top half) and fallen asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow. Unfortunately, when Vision was exhausted, he was rather prone to nightmares. It was always the same..

He was a boy again, running from a dark shadowy figure, that was just a little less shadowy than usual.

"I'm sorry!" Vision yelled, not sure what he was sorry for, but it must have been something.

Whatever it was that he had done to deserve the pain that was to come, his apology fell on deaf ears, the dark figure still in pursuit.

Vision ran faster, stuffing himself into a closet to hide, but heavy footsteps grew closer..

.. And Vision was suddenly jolted awake by a knock on the door of his caravan. Still half asleep, and confused about who would be knocking so late, he stumbled out of bed, opening the door to find Wanda, wearing oversized pyjamas that seemed more Pietro's style than hers.

"Wanda.."

"Hey.." She smiled rather sheepishly. "Sorry to wake you. I.. It's not like I need Pietro right next to me to sleep or anything, I always sleep somewhere else when he brings a girl home, but usually I know he's somewhere close, like only a few doors away.. Only this time he's not, and I.. I can't sleep. Can I stay with you?"

"Oh, um, of course.." Vision felt suddenly self conscious. "Just let me find a shirt.."

"Why?" Wanda stepped inside the caravan, sounding rather confused.

Nebula looked up, growling a little at the unexpected late night intrusion, but after realising it was just Wanda, purred her approval and promptly went back to sleep.

"I.. um.." Vision continued, "My scars.. They bothered you, last time you saw them, so.."

"Vizh.." Wanda shook her head, moving closer to him, "No. It wasn't your scars that upset me."

"It wasn't?"

"No.." Wanda wrapped her arms around Vision's neck. "I was upset at the thought of anybody hurting someone as dulce si minunat.. Sweet and wonderful as you." As if to prove her point, Wanda softly, shyly, kissed a scar on Vision's chest.

"Oh.. well.. Um.." Vision's heart fluttered, and Wanda was gazing up at him with her gorgeous, wide green eyes, and he couldn't for the life of him think of anything to say.

So, instead of speaking, Vision wrapped his arms around Wanda's waist, pulled her close, and kissed her. Wanda returned his kiss, deeply, passionately.

At some point later, which could have been forever or maybe just a few minutes, they ended up on his bed, Wanda in his lap, still kissing all the while, hands beginning to roam. She was pressed against him, so close and warm and wonderfully soft, and Vision, being closer to a woman in this moment than he had ever been before in his life, was beginning to feel things, to want things. It would be so, so easy to let that want take over, take that step that so many novels and films and songs said would make him officially a Man.

But his heart spoke louder. He wanted his first time to be with Wanda, but not this way. Not when she was so worried about her brother, and they were both sleep deprived enough that they might hardly remember. So, though the young male part of his brain was going to be very annoyed with him, Vision gently pulled away.

"What is it?" Wanda looked at him, wide-eyed, sounding slightly breathless. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No" Vision assured her, gently cupping her cheek. "No, not at all. It's just.. You have been through a lot of emotional upheaval this week, and we are both tired, and.. I've thought about this, us, and when it happens.. I want it to be special."

Wanda smiled at him, a wonderful, soft smile.

"You're right." She moved out of his lap, shifting to get under his bedclothes and pulling him down to lay beside her, before curling up against his chest. "I can wait for special."

As Vision looked at her, already drifting off to sleep, he felt a warm, fuzzy feeling in his heart, knowing he had made the right choice.
