Groaning, her eyelashes flutter trying to open her eyes. Her eyeballs moved behind her eyelids as she dreamt once more. Besides her remains Tanjiro who is sitting beside her.
'Her scent…' ruby eyes locked on her still lying on the futon, unconscious.
He remembered as Inosuke cut through the vines, revealing her sleeping soundly on the ground. Her body was covered in cuts and wounds, drying up as she remained in a fetal position. Checking her pulse, he puts Zenitsu down as they work on getting her out of the vines. Above them, his crow told them to hurry up before sunset, and went to the ancestral mansion to rest.
Soon, their next mission will start.
A large room consisting of different rooms was seen. If one were to walk in, it would be like a maze no one can easily escape to. Suddenly, the sound of string getting strum was heard, echoing throughout the walls. Those occupying said rooms got alerted, waiting for their turn to be summoned.
Ting.
Pair of eyes blinking at their sudden appearance in one place, looking at their side seeing their 'comrades'.
Ting.
A woman walks in, wearing an elegant kimono. Her face donned makeup that emphasizes her beauty. Stepping forward towards her audience, her ruby eyes which shone nothing yet anger felt within her aura makes them tremble at her presence. Her ruby lips parted, revealing a pair of sharp fangs wanting to sink into something - someone per say, glinting as she speaks.
"Welcome…"
At her word, her audiences kneeled abruptly before her whilst her eyes looking down on them. The woman who kneeled beside her was responsible for stringing said instrument. Its head slowly rises before lifting her right hand and strum.
Ting.
And so, the door closes.
White eyes staring into nothing, burnt scar covers his forehead exposed to everyone. On his side remains his wife, assisting him from walking through the pillars of the grave. The gust of wind was felt by him as his crow reported to him about something - someone, per se.
Nodding, his black tresses of hair moving.
'I see…'
Turning towards his wife, before placing his hand on her arm. "That woman-" his statement was cut off by his sudden urge to cough, itchiness spread on his throat whilst trying to remove something from his chest only for a blood to release from his lungs.
Red ran through the corner of his mouth, the sound of a concerned voice was heard from his right ear knowing the panic state of his beloved.
"Wife, she's here…"
Despite not seeing her reaction, he knows from the gasp she uttered that her face was painted with shock, wide eyed, feeling her grip tightened on his.
"My Lord… Husband…"
He can feel her voice beginning to crack.
"Soon, my love"
"…!"
Her eyelids slowly open revealing a pair of blue eyes, the sound of shouting is what woke her up. Looking at her side, she saw a blur of yellow, red and blue color. "Inuyasha…" as she utters that name, the red one turn to her.
Closing her eyes, she felt his presence near her.
"Hey, miss?" as she hears a younger voice, she snaps her eyes open before landing to a pair of ruby eyes. In his eyes, she gasped before shouting.
"AHHHHH!"
Tanjiro backed away as he saw her frantic look whilst Zenitsu hide behind Inosuke who held his two swords out.
"It's okay, miss. We are not going to hurt you." Tanjiro stated, giving her space to calm down before turning to his companion and his eyes widened. "Hey, Inosuke put that away!"
"You can't boss me around, Monjiro!"
"AHHHHH, She's a demon, I tell youuu!"
"Zenitsu, she is not!"
Tanjiro yelled at him whilst he gripped his yellow hair tightly, almost going mad. Keyword: almost. Turning back at her, she once more locked eyes with him.
"Hi miss, I'm sorry for my companion…you are inside the Wisteria mansion, we found you deep within the forest-" he stopped when Kagome stretched her hands towards him, her blue eyes calm yet forlorn as she felt his aura.
Her dainty hands which were covered in callus, as she wielded her bow often, held his face. Her blue eyes looking at him, understanding written on them.
"I'm sorry…" the woman whispered. He frowned, not understanding her apology yet continued as he grabbed her hands.
"It's okay, miss" , giving her an earnest smile. "We will let you rest once more." Nodding at him, she lied down whilst he grabbed both his companions out the room. Glancing at her one more time, before closing the door.
A scream and cry of anguished resounded in the dark forest. Webs being lighted by the moonlight, sharp as a blade as a single leaf from a tree fell only to be sliced into two. Figures standing from the shadow, their eyes glowing bright as they heard the noise from humans.
Suddenly, they smiled revealing wide sharp canines.
In chorus they said, "Welcome back" before disappearing one by one along the fog.
From afar, white haired child standing on his web looks over them. Flapping sounds echoed as crows began to flock around, landing on the branch as they observed a man running while clutching his cut right shoulder. Before a sound of string was being stretched, the child's shadow swallowing the man's figure, shiver run through his spine at the white appearance, looking with brown eyes, he trembled.
'No…'
Suddenly the figure jumped down…
'NO!'
Splat!
Along the mountain, passing by a barrier reveals a meadow. Sitting in the middle was a woman wearing a white kosode and red hakama, her black tresses surrounding her meditating form, a cloth covering half of her face as she held a large bow. Still her eyes were closed.
Suddenly, a butterfly went through the barrier before it landed on the woman's shoulder. The energy was transferred to her, giving her color on her pale skin before her heart began to beat.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
At the third beat, she inhaled before snapping her eyes open.
"It is time…welcome, Sister"
