Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Coding Connections. Enjoy the 2200-word chapter. I don't own Sonic; Sega and a few others do.
Nicole started at Nano as he cleared his throat before she sighed and started to tap her fingers on her arms as she started to best ponder her plans. The more she had been thrown off by how he seemed to operate? The more she honestly seemed to think of what to best about him when she considered it.
"I'm interested in what this string of data is about," Nicole said while Nano nodded to her.
He simply started to shrug as he did so. He simply didn't seem to know if he was 100% honest. He tapped on his metallic forehead as he hummed to himself.
"If I'm entirely honest?" Nano asked with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not entirely sure. It's a rather odd thing when I consider it. I feel as if it has SOME meaning. Yet? I don't seem to recall what it is. Odd, no?" Nano said with some form of annoyance.
It didn't help that there were many layers to this plan he simply had no idea about what to do.
Still? Nano had no real reason to assume that she hadn't a reason to think he was lying to himself. They were both intelligent machines at the moment and it had led them to different ideas of what to do next.
Nano tapped his snot before he simply stopped to think of what to do next. Nicole had been watching him rather than speaking and he had to ask what she had in store for him at the time.
"Something is bothering you," Nano said before he simply brushed off his shell. "I will not judge, Nicole. I will not bother you if it means that this ends the talk that we have." Nano said while he crossed his arms behind his back stated while rubbing at the bridge of his nose.
"Tails wants to see if we can talk," Nicole said before she tapped at his shoulder. "In the real world and not in your head," Nicole stated before she gained a raised eyebrow before he started to ponder what to do next.
"Will you remain in your handheld form?" Nano questioned before he sighed to himself. "I… Is he sure when it comes down to it?" Nano questioned himself before he sighed to himself.
Still? If she wanted him to come to the real world and attempt to walk around with the rest of the people? He'd do so if they had allowed him.
He wanted to best think of what to do next. He was ready for this to end and if she wanted him to come to the real world? He'd handle it as best as he was capable of.
"There are plenty of soldiers that will be in the world if something happens," Nicole stated before she frowned to herself. "I'll explain more in a few minutes. Tails had been trying to set things up for a few minutes." Nicole added before she snapped her fingers.
The entire place vanished as she did as well. Nano had felt his mind clear as he seemed to vanish into energy with a moment left to do.
(Physical world)
Nicole watched as Tails started to think of what to do next. he had been to handle what to do next. Nicole was ready to pop her brain into pieces as Tails stopped typing the rest of the keys before he sighed to himself.
He was ready for this end. He said nothing as Nicole disconnected herself from his shell and slowly started to form her holographic form as she prepared to speak. Nicole sighed before she watched as there was a metallic clang.
"What happens next?" Nicole asked before she raised her eyebrow. "He's slowly starting to wake from his upload," Nicole stated while she frowned to herself.
The android slowly started to sit to his feet as the cables started to tear from his mechanic frame. He hadn't once looked at her as his optics slowly started to boot themselves. He was far more interested in the cables as he slowly started to climb to his feet and rotated and turned towards her with interest. Nano seemed to not notice Tails while he slammed his metallic feet onto the floor.
Nicole projected from the monitor as her holographic form slowly appeared in front of him. He tilted his head towards her before his metallic exterior slowly started to shift as his lips slowly started to form from his body. They formed a wide smile that seemed uncanny as expected of an android who hadn't been online for more than a few days.
"Nicole?" Nano questioned as he tilted his head to the side as he had before. "Sorry. Hello, Tails. I apologize for not noticing you. I had been rather used to the company of Nicole and my sensors aren't exactly online as of the moment." Nano stated while he frowned for a moment before he resumed his smile once more towards her.
Nicole simply held a finger to her lips with a smirk crossing her lips as she did so. There was simply too much fun for her to enjoy it as of now. she wanted nothing more than to slowly show her friend around her home. She tilted her head, as well as Nano, and corrected himself before he smiled at her as he slowly tapped on his arms.
"This place is interesting," Nano stated before he smiled at himself as he corrected his stance and folded his arms behind his head as he did so. "Honestly? It's rather weird as well if my wording is correct." Nano added as he started to cross the room.
His footsteps were rather thrown off by his slightly heavy footsteps which made him almost crash. He raised an eyebrow before he reached out a hand to correct his balance as he smiled at her.
He tilted his head before he started to climb towards her. Nicole slowly walked to his side and offered her hand to the android who slowly accepted the appendage. There was a flash of motion that showed small machines from the pair slowly crossing into one another. Nano's optics dilated and focused on this as Nicole was surprised at this.
"Nanites?" Nano questioned to which Nicole nodded towards him. "Interesting. They seem to be interacting with the nano-paste drones within my frame as if they were somehow linked to one another. Rather an interesting topic as of now. I will add that to my data banks for down the road as they say." Nano said before he hooked a hand around a terminal next to him.
"I still need to find more information on topics such as this. I am still attempting to find more reason for why I was dispatched or processed into this place." Nano said as he set a hand to his head. "I remember a laugh. There were a few words said, then I believe. Hmm. That is rather odd." Nano stated before he tapped his head to attempt to try and jam it into place properly.
There was a whirl as he did so. Nicole didn't see him change or do something that stopped her from bothering the issue further. She simply had far too many questions on her mind and the idea of answers was honestly hard to pass in her brain. She stopped herself since it also means she had many problems with her new friend if she was to phrase them to her. the idea that there was honestly more to this tale than it appeared was rather tempting to her. Yet she stayed her hand as it had been an issue she wished to bury deep down in her heart as of now. She didn't need more stress on her sol if she was honest.
Yet? She seemed almost bored when it comes down to it. Nano seemed almost thrown off by something such as the manner he had been thrown into. There was a lot more on his plate than it seemed capable of.
Yet he expected that when it came down to it. He simply felt the odd sensation when he considered it. this place was a lot weirder than it seemed as if nothing was to change that. The simple facts on his mind felt odder than they seemed.
"Is this place always in this manner? I expected more things when it comes down to it." Nano questioned before he tilted his head to the side. "Sorry. I'm simply getting thrown off more and more. This place is rather off I'm honest. It's a lot harder to react to certain things when I'm so confused." Nano said while he brushed off his armor.
He was a lot odder than it seemed. There was simply too much on his mind for him to properly focus on it.
Yet he had a lot more on his mind when it came down to it. She was a lot more on his mind than anything else seemed to be if he was entirely honest. There were a lot weirder things he supposed he'd be around when it came down to it. a lot odder as of now.
He was a lot older when it comes down to it. There were a lot weirder things around him he seemed to notice.
"They can be honestly a little weird when it comes to it," Nicole said while she brushed off her robes. "There are a few things that seem to be out of place when I focus on them. Is that always that way?" Nano said while he hummed to himself before he gazed around the room.
There were a lot more things as to how to handle it. He had far more pressing concerns to handle and he gazed around with a lot more amusement written on his face.
This was to be a lot more enjoyable than she expected. It had been a lot more enjoyable. He slowly started to march across the room towards her with interest as he did so. Nano leaned his hands on the wall for support as he tilted his head to the side.
His servos seemed to adjust as he could finally stand to his feet a few seconds later. He tilted his head to the side while Nicole reached a hand towards him. He simply slowly tapped her on the head as he did so. There was so much fun to be had in this world.
Still? The sooner that he had managed to gain his footing? The sooner he was able to properly relax. He was honestly interested in this place. It was fun to see certain elements similar to his be placed in his path. It made him seem a lot more on his path into the rest of the world as he slowly placed his hand on hers.
More nanobots and nanites swarmed across both of their bodies. Tails watched as both mechanical creations seemed to be far more confused by this than scared. It was honestly wonderful to both machines as he smiled at her.
"What… Is this?" Nano questioned with interest as he tilted his head once more before he straightened up. "It's interesting. I haven't expected my shell to respond this way to anything if I'm 100% not lying. I don't know. It honestly is a bit hard to explain at the moment. This is sort of straining my CPU with how incredible it is. My nano-paste shell seems to be trying to bond with your nanites. Interesting. I don't entirely understand how that's possible without some research. I do know it's a bit weird to try and handle it without my mind exploding." Nano said as he didn't let go.
Neither did she. There was far more going on here which he had yet to do as of now. There were some details that neither had on their mind. Nicole was stunned to see any piece of technology that reacted this way to hers. This was new, it was interesting, it was something that pressed her to want to understand the more she stared at it. The grin she had on her face was honestly something she never wanted to leave.
Nano slowly pulled his hand from hers as crimson seemed to form on his metallic maw. It was nice, he would not at all lie about that when it came down to it.
He stared at Nicole who seemed to all be wrapped up in her little world as well. He smiled once more as he realized that this woman was honestly one of the coolest weirdest people he had met. This was nice, he felt as if he had a friend at his side who had seemed to be honestly prepared for this meeting, yet was thrown off by this at the time.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be delayed and will be a bit longer. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show both Nicole and Nano talking and setting up some of Eggman's plans. Until the 900–6500-word chapter. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
