CJ woke up the next morning. It was now 7:30 AM, and the sun was barely up. CJ missed the sunrise back in Liberty City. He got dressed, ate a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, and bounced out of the door.
CJ decided that he could kill some more time going to the gym. So he hit the weights and decided to do a little more sparring with the trainers. After a full hour, he left the gym to go to a night club. There, he gambled for cash during a game of pool with other patrons and won in almost all the games.
After CJ decided to go to the shooting range, play more arcade games, shop for new clothes, and eating out, ten hours had passed, and CJ decided to head over to the garage.
"Hello!" CJ bellowed. "Anybody there?!"
CJ looked around. No one was there.
So CJ decided to relax and took a second to think. So far, he was living pretty well. He owned a garage in San Fierro. He got to work with a nerd who still plays with RC Barons. He had friends and allies to help him out so he didn't have to do too much dirty work. Now all he had to do was relax.
So he sat on a nearby sofa against the wall and grabbed the remote off the coffee table. He decided to turn on the television and as it came on, an episode of his new favorite sitcom Martin was shown. The episode was about Martin trying to get Gina a gift for the two's anniversary and decides that heart is the true gift to give Gina.
CJ spent the next three hours watching other programs on television when all of a sudden, he heard his cellphone ring. CJ took it out of his pocket to answer it.
"CJ," he heard Cesar call.
"You got it," CJ answered.
"Hey, my cousin just called me," Cesar said. "He gave me a tip about a Balla car going San Fierro to score yay."
"Shit, we gotta find out who's supplyin' those cats!" CJ replied.
"Read your mind, holmes," Cesar said. "I picked them up at the Mulholland Intersection and I'm trailing them now."
"Okay, where you at?" CJ asked.
"Red County, holmes," Cesar answered.
"OK, I'm coming to meet you," CJ answered.
"Better make it fast, holmes," Cesar urged. "These boys aren't hanging around!"
As CJ hung up, he saw Ryder and LB pulling over to the parking lot in Ryder's Picador.
"What's happenin' with you, Ryder, LB?" CJ greeted.
"Nuthin' much, homie," Ryder replied.
"We all about the Bens, motherfucker!" LB replied, showing CJ a prolific amount of cash. "With me and Ryder's teamwork, there's no way Smoke's lackeys are gettin' past us!"
"Oh yeah!" CJ replied. "Y'all got yo' hustle on, I see. Look, I just got a call from Cesar. He said that there were a group of gang settin' up a deal somewhere on Whetstone. We gotta meet Cesar over at Red County."
"A'ight, homie," Ryder said as he slid to the passenger seat. "Let's go see what's up. You down, LB?"
"You know I'm always down, Ryder," LB said. "You and I go way back, nigga."
CJ hopped inside the driver's seat of the Picador. He backed up and drove to the street. He looked both ways and made a right turn onto the road.
"Careful not to roll the vehicle off the road, nigga," Ryder told CJ. "You know how reckless these motherfuckers on the highway be."
"Listen to Ryder, Ceej," LB added. "These motherfuckers on the highway drive almost as bad as the motherfuckers back in LC."
CJ just continued driving and entered the freeway. He drove as carefully as he could, barely avoiding most of the wild drivers around him.
"Damn!" LB shouted. "These assholes can't drive for jack shit!"
As CJ drove through the freeway through the Easter Tunnel, he zipped through Red County and drove through Panopticon.
"Damn!" Ryder complained. "That motherfucker all the way out here?!"
"What the hell he need us to drive out here to pick him up from for?" LB questioned.
"There he go, right there!" CJ said as he spotted Cesar parked to the side of the road in his red lowrider. CJ stopped the car and he and the other two jumped out.
"Get in, holmes!" Cesar shouted out to the three, sliding in the passenger seat of his vehicle. CJ hopped in the drivers seat and Ryder and LB jumped into the back seat. CJ started the car.
"Where we goin'?" CJ asked Cesar.
"They were headed over Angel Pine way," Cesar answered. "Follow the road and maybe we can pick them up!"
"Damn, motherfucker!" Ryder shouted as the car drove on the road. "You had us drive all the way out here to tell us that they were goin' to Angel Pine?! Why didn't you go there in the first place?!"
"I had to stay more stealthy," Cesar replied. "If I went to Angel Pine to wait for them right away, they'll catch on to us."
"Well shit," LB said, "the least you could do is find a place much closer to Angel Pine!"
CJ just continued driving through the Badlands, being careful not to drive off the road or crash into anything. As CJ finally made it to Angel Pine, he stopped the car, and he, Cesar, Ryder, and LB hopped out.
"Now what?" LB asked.
"On the roof of that building there!" Cesar replied, grabbing the camera out of the car. He handed it to CJ. "Here, CJ," Cesar told him. "I need you to take the picture of the guys. They should arrive at the building across the street."
The four guys walked up the stairs of the building and stared at the building across the street. They waited for the guys to arrive.
"Any minute now," Cesar answered.
"Take a drink on how many times he says this," Ryder muttered to LB.
The four guys waited until someone arrived. It was silent. The only sounds that were heard were the cold wind and the few cars that were passing by. After ten minutes, a ZR-350 finally pulled over behind the building. The car pulled to a stop and exiting out was a Latino man with a thick mustache. CJ pointed the camera towards him and snapped his photo.
"This guy takes himself real serious," CJ said.
"That's T-Bone Mendez," Cesar answered.
"How you know that guy?" Ryder asked Cesar.
"He's the leader of the San Fierro Rifas," Cesar explained. "He and my gang had been battling each other when they came to raid my hood back in Los Santos!"
"Shit," LB replied, "I heard of the Vagos beefing with the Groves, but I had no idea how the motherfucking Rifas got access in southern San Andreas."
"What now?" CJ asked as T-Bone walked over to Cluckin' Bell to his left. "Was that it?"
CJ didn't get to finish. He spotted a Washington pull over to the side of Cluckin' Bell. Out exited a mysterious Caucasian man in a suit. CJ quickly took the guy's photo.
"Hey, who's the gringo?" Cesar asked.
"I don't like the look of that guy," CJ replied. "This is more than a few thugs pushing a product. This a serious organization."
"Tell me about it, homie," LB replied. "I bet you anything that they're working for Smoke and responsible for his yay delivery. I even heard they have a crack factory over back in San Fierro."
Before the foursome knew it, they spotted a Broadway pulling up to the other vehicles. Out came out was a black man wearing a purple suit, who CJ snapped his photo to.
"How many of these clowns are there?" Cesar asked.
"I know a pimp when I see one," CJ said. "They're being clever about this. There ain't no exchange or nothin' incriminating."
"I think Smoke's behind this," LB told him. "This must be a gang that deals with that crack-cocaine empire."
"Shit," Ryder replied. "Looks like Smoke and his lieutenants are making a fortune back in Los Santos, which means they leave to Los Santos tomorrow."
"Which means we gotta catch those assholes before they get the yay back to Smoke," LB answered as the trio down below made their way inside the restaurant. "Come on, Ryder! We on a serious mission now! CJ! Cesar! We'll catch up with you some other day. Right now, we got some business to take care of. Catch y'all later." He and Ryder began heading down the stairs.
"A'ight, homies!" CJ replied back. "Just keep catching those assholes!"
"Peace out!" Cesar told the two.
As Ryder and LB walked away, CJ and Cesar headed down the stairs themselves. They hopped inside the lowrider and drove to a nearby gas station. CJ hopped out of the vehicle and Cesar slid to the drivers seat.
"That was some heavy shit!" CJ told Cesar.
"We better split up and get outta here!" Cesar told him. "I'll meet you back at the garage!"
"Coolio," CJ replied as Cesar drove away. "We got what we came for anyway."
As Cesar left, CJ thought for a moment. Despite the support he was getting from his sister and allies, CJ felt that there was still some business to take care of. Could he seriously leave Big Smoke to punk him out after what he did to him? Sure Tenpenny warned him about what would happen to Sweet if he did go for Smoke, but what kind of thug would CJ be if he just simply let his former friend double-cross him without suffering the consequences?
As CJ found a nearby bus stop, he walked over it and sat on the bench. He pulled his wallet out of his pocket, staring at his family photo from his childhood back in 1980, when he was nine. There was his family, all taking a photo at Santa Maria. CJ was there along with his brothers and sister. This made CJ feel even worse that he left to Liberty City five years ago and didn't even check up on the rest of his family until recently.
But CJ knew that he wasn't going to complete anything just reminiscing. So as soon as he heard his stomach rumble, he set his wallet aside and searched for a nearby restaurant. He found a Well Stacked Pizza place and decided to go there for dinner.
