Author's Note: This chapter was originally supposed to be the thirteenth chapter and not the twelfth but for the other chapter, I decided that it will be "kept away" until I put my mind to post it someday as a one-shot fanfiction, however I'll tell you something about that chapter before I'll mention in the warning in this chapter. The original twelfth chapter (going to be a one-shot fanfiction) was going to be about the duo's coming out, Sarabi's death and of course the duo's wedding- it all happens before the Rise of the Scar episode in the Lion Guard.

Anyways, like I've said I'll post it someday but it won't be part of this fanfiction. So, I'll let you know what will contain in this chapter, just so people will be aware what contains in it and won't be uncomfortable for them, so read carefully...

This chapter contains slash, you have been warned.

Dream Vision

Kiara and Kovu enters Hakuna Matata Falls, Simba had told them that they can have a break for today. It was a week after Kion's coronation and a day after Nala announced to their family that she was pregnant. Everyone is thrilled at the news, especially her two grandfathers who she and the others can see that they're still worried about Bunga, even if he's safe at the Tree of Life. They finally found them kissing, this makes Kovu and Kiara rub the back of their heads, Kiara does a fake cough. Timon and Pumbaa stops kissing and turns to see their granddaughter and grandson-in-law looking elsewhere, whistling.

Timon smiles as he clasps his hands, "Kiara, Kovu. What's with the lovely surprise? You two aren't on your lessons or whatever?"

The young couple shakes their head with a smile, Kiara says sweetly, "Dad told us we have the day off, so we decided to visit you guys."

Timon and Pumbaa looks at each with tears of joy, Pumbaa sniffles as he says, "Would you look at that? In all the things they can do in their day off they thought about us."

"Oh Grandpops, Grandpa…" trails off Kiara as she hugs them and Kovu with a half-smile joins them as well. Then Timon breaks the hug group and speaks up, "Alright, what did you two have in mind?"

"Let's go diving and afterwards eat some grubs, is it a good idea?" Kiara proposes as both her grandfathers beams up, nodding in approbation.

When it was time to return at Pride Rock, they said their goodbyes and returned to their family. While eating, Kiara was suddenly lost in thoughts. Nala speaks gently, "Anything wrong, Kiara?"

This causes everyone to look at her, she snaps back into reality and giggles, "Sorry about that but I'm wondering," and turns to her father, "daddy, can me and Kovu sleep at Hakuna Matata Falls tonight?"

This has taken Simba by surprise, but Nala however beams at her and turns to her mate, "You know Simba, I think this is a good idea. I think they'll need it, especially before they will become the next king and queen, it will be rare that they can sleep there afterwards."

Simba sighs and nods, he turns to his daughter. "Yes, you can but keep in mind that tomorrow you have to-"

"We'll wake up early," Kovu cuts him but apologies quickly before he gets a glare from Simba, "and I'm an early bird," then mumbles under his breath, "thanks to my mother, I never lost that habit."

"Very well, then it's settled, you can go sleep to Hakuna Matata Falls," says Nala with joy in her eyes, "Zazu will get you tomorrow morning…" and with that she gets up and vomits behind some rocks, she returns and sighs, "I'll go with you guys, I'll go eat to some grubs, hopefully it will calm my upset."

They all smile and they continue to eat their food, while Nala waits outside with patience, taking a deep breath of air. When her family was finished eating they went to Hakuna Matata Falls as they hear Pumbaa belch, they chuckle and went to join them. The duo is extremely happy to see their whole family, they go to hug them and Timon takes a glance at Nala with worry, "Are you alright Nala, you seem…" he tries to get the right words, "a little pale."

"Yeah well, the meat…"

Timon and Pumbaa's eyes have widened as Simba starts to laugh at their expressions, Kiara and Kovu are confused and Nala says to them guiltily, "When I was pregnant of..." and stops as she wipes some tears away, Timon goes immediately to her, "Nala, don't say their names. We're already worried about you, it's okay… we're sorry-"

Nala cuts him off, "No Timon, it's fine," she then turns back to her daughter, "well anyways when I was pregnant of your older sister and brother I used to eat all of their grubs at night."

Kiara and Kovu starts to laugh, Nala continues with a giggle, "Plus, your two grandfathers here were so happy when Shani and Kopa were born and that I stopped eating their grubs."

Timon and Pumbaa gazes into each other's eyes with a smile before Pumbaa nuzzles Nala and Timon gives her a kiss on the cheek, the meerkat says softly, "Nala if you're having grubs cravings again, you can take some grubs, we don't-"

"Pops, you don't need to say anything else," Simba says with a smile, hugging him and Pumbaa, "we get your point," and turns to his mate, "ready to try a grub before leaving?"

"Yes, I'm ready!" Nala declares as she goes to get a fat juicy worm, she looks at it for a moment before slurping the worm. Then she smiles, not feeling nauseous and turns to the others. "I'm fine."

Everyone felt relieved, the duo however didn't know how to react: feeling relief or disappointed? They can see that she's gazing at them and her eyes water, they immediately went to her as Timon pets her cheek, "Shhh, it's okay daughter-in-law."

Pumbaa nuzzles her, "Yeah, we're happy that it didn't make you sick. Just take care of yourself," then sniffles with happiness, "this is going to be the first time we're going to be both grandfathers since our coming out," then looks at his family with admiration, "now we have our two grandchildren calling me Grandpa, it's the most amazing thing that has happened to me."

Nala beams at Pumbaa, "You deserve it, father-in-law."

Kiara hugs Pumbaa with a smile, "I'm glad you two did your coming out, you don't need to hide your relationship anymore," then yawns as Pumbaa puts a hoof on her back, "yeah, I admit I'm a little tired, I think I'll go to bed."

Timon puts his paws on his hips, glaring at them, "Yeah and I want you and Kovu to be close to us, so that we can keep an eye on you two."

Kovu laughs and gives Kiara a flirty expression, which the duo gives him a dark look and the former outsider gulps as he looks elsewhere, embarrassed. Then the king and queen has said their farewells and Kiara and Kovu went to bed, naturally closer to her grandfathers which her and Kovu didn't really mind. They weren't for it anyways.

The duo cuddles Kiara and Kovu before going to bed, the young couple also goes to sleep…

Kiara was strolling with her… pregnant belly? What is happening here? She's seeing Kovu coming towards her, beaming and he licks her cheek, "How's my queen doing?"

Wait… what? What- that's it! I'm dreaming, thought Kiara as she smiles sweetly at her mate, licking him back on the cheek. She then sees two cubs coming towards her: a girl and a boy. The cubs rubs her legs, the little girl looks up to her, "Big sister, guess what? I'm going to go for utamu with Chaka, Grandpops and Grandpa!"

"Yeah and Vitani and her guard showed me some really nice fighting skills," the boy said proudly, but then sighs, "but it was quickly interrupted by Thurston's "panic and run"… again!"

"Ah that Thurston," mumbles Kiara and then smiles with her eyes half-closed, "it's quite interesting to hear of what you have done today," and then sternly looks at her sister, "however Amara, I hope you're not giving some hard times to Grandpops and Grandpa, they're not young anymore."

"We're still young," a voice speaks up, she turns with a huge smile, knowing it was her grandfathers. She goes to nuzzle them and once again she held a stern expression.

"You know what I mean Grandpops, I don't want the both of you getting hurt."

Timon and Pumbaa smirks at her and Timon asks her, "Where's your hakuna matata, grandcubby?"

Kiara exhales, pacing back and forth, Pumbaa puts a hoof on her back to calm her a little, she does a half-smile, "I'll be thinking of hakuna matata, but I still want to have you guys around for some years," tears wells up in her eyes, "I don't want to lose you both like I did with dad and mom."

Pumbaa says gently, "Kiara, remember what your dad had said about the circle of life. We'll always be with you, just like your parents and grandparents are when we'll die one day."

"I know Grandpa," she whispers as she let's out a yawn, she sends them an apologetic look towards her family and laughs a little, "I'm sorry but I'll go rest if you don't mind," and goes to look at her little brother, "Chaka… keep an eye on our sister to see if she'll give any trouble to Grandpops and Grandpa."

"Okay!" Chaka says with enthusiasm and that makes Amara roll her eyes at him and the duo shakes their head, hoping their oldest granddaughter will calm down and stop being concerned about them, it's not healthy for her future cub.

Kiara goes into the den to sleep. She wakes up several hours later and suddenly feels hungry for some grubs, so with that she went to Hakuna Matata Falls and when she went to check on her grandfathers and little sister (who was sleeping on Pumbaa's belly and holding Timon with a foreleg), she smiles through happy tears (ah, these pregnancy hormones) and quickly wipes them away before eating some grubs. When she had her fill, she went to get some water and returned to Pride Rock.

This has awaken Kiara as she stands up rapidly, confused and she looks to her left and right, wondering where her little sister is and she whispers, "Amara? Amara, where are you?"

"Who's Amara, Kiara?"

Kiara nearly jumps and pivots to see it was her Grandpops, tapping his foot with his arms crossed, glaring at her, "What are you doing up, young lioness? It's late-"

"I know Grandpops, but I had a weird dream," declares Kiara, not loud enough to wake up Pumbaa and Kovu, "and it might have woken me up…"

Timon sighs, rubbing his face, "Do you want to talk about it?"

She was going to utter a no but she realizes that she needs to talk about it, Kiara nods and they go to the waterfalls. Timon clasps his hands, "Alright Kiara, what's up?"

"I don't know but I dreamed that I was with cub… and that I have a little brother and sister…" Kiara gasps between breaths, the meerkat puts his paw on her paw with worry, "I'm sorry but this is so confusing."

"Dreams are always confusing," says Timon with a yawn, but then his eyes have widened, "but did you just say that you were with-"

"Timon! Kiara!" It was Pumbaa. Timon and Kiara gazes at each other with wide eyes and flew back to where they're sleeping. Pumbaa looking all panicky that something has happened to his mate and grandcub is going to cry. This causes Kovu to stir and Kiara nuzzles her mate, she says quietly, "Go back to sleep Kovu, I'm fine."

Timon kisses Pumbaa on the snout, "Everything is alright, you big lug. You worry too much, Kiara wanted to talk to me," then chuckles, "well us, now that you're awake."

Kiara smiles and goes to sit next to her grandfathers, "Like I was saying, I was pregnant, my little brother and sister…" she trails off, with tears rolling down her cheeks, "and I even said once in this dream that I lost my parents and…"

Pumbaa places his hoof on her paw and Timon wipes some of her tears away, Pumbaa says with a smile, "It's just a dream you had, Kiara. Your parents aren't going to die just yet."

"I'm not even sure if it's just a dream," Kiara places her chin on the ground, tears still coming down, "because you see," she looks up at Pumbaa, "it's not the first time that I dreamed about it."

Pumbaa didn't know what to say but suddenly they hear a small sob, they turn towards Timon, Pumbaa nuzzles him, "Honey, what's the matter?"

Timon nuzzles him back, wipes some tears off from his face and turns to his granddaughter, "I hope the part of your parents being dead isn't true. I don't want to believe it, no way that we'll lose our baby king… Simba can't die before us…"

"Shhh, it will be alright my love," Pumbaa smoothly says to Timon, comforting him with his forelegs around the meerkat, giving a glare at his granddaughter, "Kiara, I think you've said too much and I don't like this at all, it really made your Grandpops upset, why don't you go back to sleep?"

This has startled Kiara as she lets more tears scrolling down her cheeks, she then exhales and goes back to Kovu and with that she goes to sleep weeping, little she knew, Kovu wrapped a foreleg around her for comfort.

Kiara was in the den, licking the head… of her newborn? She sees Kovu next to her, licking her cheek and then she looks up to see her two grandfathers, Rafiki and Zazu in front of them, but something is missing: where are her little siblings?

Timon knew why she was worried, chuckles, "Don't worry about your little siblings, my little grandcubby. They're with Vitani and the guard right now," and then mumbles, "and I hope they won't be in danger."

He then goes back to stare at her with a smile, so did the three others. Zazu carefully asks, "So, your majesties. Have you found a name for this little cub?"

Rafiki has hit him with his staff as he glares at Zazu, "Patience, hornbill."

Kiara giggles as she looks at her cub who's concentrated in it's- no, his sleep, Kiara has given birth to a little boy some days ago. The young mother lets out a content sigh with her eyes closed for a moment before reopening, she then turns to Kovu with a smile and he has done the same. They turn to gaze at Timon and Pumbaa.

Kiara beams at them, "Kovu and I decided to name him Timbaa, in honor of those two who saved my father from these vultures and raised him as their son."

This made the duo cry their hearts out which their flood of tears went on top of Zazu (like at Kiara and Kovu's coronation), which the hornbill isn't too happy about it. Timon says with a smile, "Thank you so much, Kiara and Kovu. You really make me and Pumbaa so happy."

"You deserve it, Grandpops and Grandpa," said Kiara, continuing to beam, "after all you've done for daddy, Bunga, Kion and I," then chuckles, "especially when I ran off from you two when I was a cub."

"If you haven't ran off on one of those times, you wouldn't have met Kovu," Pumbaa says with tears, "and you wouldn't had named your cub after us, Kiara."

"That's true Grandpa," says Kiara as she nuzzles Timbaa.

Kiara has waken up in a jolt, she hears birds chirping and looks up to see the beautiful blue sky. Her eyes have widened and turns to her mate who was snoring softly, a foreleg around her, she elbowed him in the chest.

"Ow, Kiara! What was- oh no, don't tell me we slept in, your father is going to kill us!"

"Zazu was supposed to get us, well that's what mom told us," Kiara speaks up and does a playful look towards him as she points out towards where Timon and Pumbaa were sleeping, "and don't forget that Timon and Pumbaa are sleeping in front of us…" she trails off when she sees Kovu's expression. "Kovu, what's the matter?"

Kovu made a gesture with his head and Kiara turns to see that the duo weren't there, she gasps in horror. "Where are they?"

"Let's find out!" Kovu declares as he and Kiara heads out of Hakuna Matata Falls, eating some grubs while looking for the older couple. They don't know why but they headed to Rafiki's tree and stopped when they saw them talking with Rafiki and Zazu. They must be having a discussion about the dream vision Kiara must have had last night.

She bits her bottom lip, "Do you think I should tell them the continuation of the dream I had, that I dreamed of naming our firstborn after them? If it's dream vision that is."

Kovu looks up as they stare at the four of them from the distance, whom the four were laughing, he smirks and whispers in Kiara's ear, "No, if it's really a dream vision then we'll keep this a secret," he licks Kiara's cheek and Kiara licks back his cheek, both laughing. Then with that the couple went to see Simba and Nala, however what they didn't know was that Rafiki, Zazu, Timon and Pumbaa had turned to them when Kovu and Kiara were laughing, the young couple thinking they were too busy talking to each other to even notice them. They smiled at the couple disappearing from their sight and they turned to go back to what they were talking about.

Author's Note: In my headcanon, I always imagined the canon characters having sort of dream visions like Kiara has done in this chapter. And yes, she and Kovu will name their firstborn after Timon and Pumbaa. I don't know why but I would have enjoyed to see some interactions between Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu and Rafiki- so in my headcanon they're friends (not best friends like the duo are, tho)- like Sarafina and Sarabi are friends with the duo.

Now, as for Pumbaa reminding Kiara about the circle of life, I imagine Sarabi and Sarafina sometimes would tell him and Timon about the circle of life or something like that and because Kiara's pregnant, he was trying his best to calm her. And yes, in my headcanon the duo are protective towards their family, when one of the families aren't feeling well or are in danger their reactions are just like in the Lion Guard with Simba and Bunga. If you have any questions regarding this chapter or the previous chapters, you're welcome to ask them.
