100-word-a-day challenge, day 4. The prompt was "hot cocoa or coffee".

"Knock, knock."

"Eva, I said leave me a—"

"I brought a peace offering."

Neil heaved himself from his office chair with a sigh and opened his door.

Eva held a steaming mug in each hand. "Cocoa. You gonna let me in?"

He stepped aside.

She set one mug on his desk and offered the other.

"No marshmallows. You remembered." The chocolate had some spice, too.

"Of course I did." She picked up the other, presumably marshmallow-filled mug and drank.

"I accept your apology."

"I'm apologizing for nothing, grumpypants. You needed cheering up."

"Might need another mug before it works."
