The new branch

Deep within one of the many facilities that had been built by Shicksal around the world, there was a meeting taking place. It was such an urgent meeting that they were using the most up to date holographic technology to enable a real time meeting with directors from all of the branches that were situated around the world.

The overseer of the Organisation who was overseeing the situation that had prompted this meeting was sitting at the head of the table, alongside her were those that she had called in specifically for the situation. The doctors Einstein and tesla, the MANTIS from the Previous era Phoenix. There were others but those were the main figures.

Above the table was a projection of a room. Within the room was a young girl and a woman sitting talking and playing with a plush.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Ladies the day that we have feared has finally come" said theresa. " A herrscher such as the information from the previous Era archives has finally manifested" this caused mumbling to erupt around the table.

"However it seems that unlike what we were expecting, something is different."she continued motioning to the displayed holo.

One of the others looked at her and asked the question that was on all of their minds. "What do you mean overseer?" The confusion in his voice was obvious.

Instead of answering she pressed a button and turned on the volume on the holo.

She had woken up to find herself within an unknown room. She did not know where she was. She quickly used her void abilities to detect her location. Britain, England. She could narrow it down if she wanted,she could escape if she wanted. She still had access to her six cores. This however was not what had her worried about what she had detected with her void core, She was not in the same space/time as before she had somehow shifted dimension.

While it was true she did not have much schooling she did need to have a high intellect to be able to do the calculations to use the void core as well as she did. Technically the only core that needed a higher intellect than the void was the core of reason. So it did not take much for her to understand the implications of what had happened and she did not like it. The uncertainty. The unknown. She held her darling Bella close to her chest for comfort, the last precious thing she had. She would not lose her.

It was then that she heard the door opening, she prepared to summon her lances and clad herself in her armour when she saw something she thought she would never see. Someone she would never see.

"Mama cecilia?" It slipped out before she could stop herself, the pain and regret. The hurt and anger. She was the one person who had honestly tried to reach out to her, the one person who had treated her as a little girl and not a threat or a weapon. She had loved her even when she could have killed her. Even when they were fighting, when they were about to die together she had loved her. The pain and regret of not taking up the offer of family from her still burned.

Tears started to flow from her eyes and she jumped from the bed crying uncontrollably, she already knew that she was not the same one, she did not care. She instinctively used her ability to glide over to her mama and cuddled into the bewildered woman's arms. Tears and mumbled apologies spilling from her in an uncontrolled torrent, she felt her hair being stroked as she cried.

She did not know how long she cried but for the first time in a long time she felt like a child, a little girl. It felt good. She must have fallen asleep from crying herself out as she awoke holding Bella to her chest within Mama's arms. Comfort and warmth lulled her back to sleep as she snuggled into her body. The painful part could wait for now however she would enjoy this, for however long she could steal she would enjoy it.

Watching the holo the board were confused, from the briefings herrschers were beings of rage with incredible powers. They even had a list of most of the powers that they could contain. To say that they could defy the laws of physics to a certain point would be an understatement.

So to see the first herrscher to manifest, act like this was startling; devastation, military deployments and what could be described as a stereotypical villain. What they got seemed to be a lonely child wanting a mother.

It was then that Fu hua The soldier and survivor from the previous Era spoke. "If i had to guess i would say that this herrscher was the 2nd. She would have control over space/time or to simplify it, Void." she said, still looking at the holo.

Theresa looked at the old soldier with a quirked eyebrow "why do you say that?" she asked.

"The girl obviously recognises cecelia even though she has never seen the girl before. This is a sign of space/time manipulation. It is possible that she has been in contact with alternate versions of ourselves." Fu Hua stated in a matter of fact manner despite how nervous she was at the possibility.

"That is a possibility" stated Dr Einstein the bluenette doctor who was one of the founders of Anti-entropy the american branch of Shiksal who focused more on technological development. "Since we found the second divine key the field of quantum physics has jumped forward by centuries, as far as we know it uses the core of void as a base component."

This got nods of understanding from those at the table while some frowned whilst they looked at the still playing holo that was floating above the table. "What did her medical scans reveal?" asked Theresa out of curiosity.

Dr. Mcsmith was the next to report as one of the top doctors and scientists of Shicksal.

"When our retrieval team arrived with our guest we quickly sedated her. Then we had them all run through medical, the girl was giving off unusually high honkai levels, so it was best to have them all checked to be on the safe side." said the doctor to make sure they understood the reasons and what actions had been taken.

"It is what we found next that is the reason for her being within such a secure facility." The doctor took a breath to brace herself. What she was about to say was not pleasant, and to think something like that had happened, the thought disgusted her.

"First we can confirm that she is a herrscher," this caused an uncomfortable shifting as what they feared was confirmed. " However she is not just a herrscher, going by the scans, and comparing it to the records we retrieved from the previous era, she is the most powerful one to ever exist."

This caught Fu Huas attention. "What do you mean?" The doctor paused and took a breath, and thought about what she was going to say. "Well naturally apart from the final herrscher which is a rule unto itself" This got a nod, "this girl has six cores within her."

The reaction to that statement was a stunned silence. No one knew how to react to it. A normal one was difficult enough to deal with from the recordings and reports. Even the testimonies from the few survivors that they had in their current employ all had stated about the power of the godlike beings. The marks of the wars from the wars against the beings called herrschers could still be found scarring the earth today, the mariana trench, the sahara, the outback of australia.

Terrain that looked normal but was actually devastated land caused by the war against the honkai.

The fact that such scars were hidden from most people's view was a testament to the technology of the previous era. One of the miracle technologies that had been hidden by building the International space station around it, It is from there that they have been using the fourth divine key to get a handle on the pollution and climate of the world.

So to think that there was a person with the combined power of six of these, was quite frankly terrifying. "From the scan we have isolated the signatures, her primary core, if one can call it that, is the Core of Void. It seems to have been the core she developed first, she then seemed to develop the others afterwards." the doctor explained.

"We should kill her and be done with it!" screeched one of the lower ranking officials from the end of the table in fear at the possible up and coming disaster.

Theresa thought for a moment then looked at the holo and saw that the two in the room were talking, she decided to resume the volume. Maybe they would get a better idea of the girl if they listened.

She was afraid, over her time in the cores she knew she had done many bad things. She had watched as Kiana had made friends, had fun and people to love. She had been jealous. The time came to rebuild her body, the space/time wave if she did not she would have died. Using materials at hand, blood from Kiana, she forged a body.

It looked the same, it had her blood after all, but it still had Kaslana blood in it, she was only able to alter the ratio, so that instead of looking like kiana she looked as she once did. This however was only one thing she was afraid of. Would they kill her? Would they lock her up? Treat her as a weapon if they found out what she had done? They were all possibilities.

So here she was being held by a version of a woman that she had chosen to treat as her mama. A woman who had treated her as her own in another dimension. Trying to decide what to do. "Sweety you don't need to be so afraid" came the soft voice from just behind her, the tender warmth of her arms holding her in a comfortable embrace.

Taking a deep breath, she decided to start off with the safe one. "Mama?" She said she knew that she shouldn't be so familiar, this woman did not know her at all. It was the valkyrie from her own dimension that she called mama. But she was afraid she needed that crutch. She needed emotional comfort.

"Hmm?" mama hummed back, "Can we talk?" she asked quietly, turning her head towards the woman, her yellow/gold eyes looking pleadingly at her. She got a bright smile in return. "Of course" cecilia replied happily "what do you want to talk about sweety?"

Mentally preparing herself, holding Bella close to her chest. She would have to remake bellas body soon. "Urm, It is about how i know you" she mumbled. Looking anywhere but at Cecilia's face. She felt a hand gently hold her chin and lift her face till she was looking at the smiling woman in the eyes.

"Well there was a space/time fracture where we found you, you know people who do not know you, and you give off a sligh honkai energy so I am going to go with being from another dimension" said Cecilia with a slight chuckle. This caused Sirin to cringe. And duck her head into cecillias chest again. She did not think that it was that obvious. The arms around her only held her closer.

"Was that all that you wanted to tell me sweetie?" asked cecilia softly not wanting to scare the young girl now that she was opening up. Shaking her head, Sirin looked at the woman. "No, but I'm afraid." she mumbled out holding Bella closely, "I don't want to be alone again" she whispered to herself though cecilia heard her. "Mama, I have done bad things." she confessed. "I can't remember them but i know i did them" tears started to fall from her eyes, her weak voice shaking as she clung to the woman before her looking for some form of support. As the words that she had feared to say started to flow and once they did she could not stop.

Cecilia just listened and held the young girl as she poured her heart out crying, in her arms. How she was used in inhumane experiments, how everyone she cared for had either died or been killed. Her tone lost all inflection, all emotion to the point that it was as if she was just reciting a report. To most they would think the girl was lying at this point but one look in those striking eyes told her what was going on.

She was reliving what she could remember, the horrors that had been visited upon a young child that they should never have happened to. Once the story was over CeCillia finally understood why the girl was so clingy. Her alternate was probably the only source of affection she had outside of her deceased mother. The effect that had had on a mind so young was palpable.

"Sweetie, would it be okay if I get a friend to check your memory? To make sure you are okay?" she asked softly. This caused the girl to startle "I want to make sure that you are healthy. If she says that you need to talk to someone then we can do that, okay? I will be here the entire time." with a smile to reassure the girl she knew there were cameras so the statement would be relayed to the necessary people.

In the meeting room Fu Hua nodded " It seems that the Herrscher personality has been suppressed somehow." the people in the room looked at her in question.

With a sigh she continued. "From our research and observation when one becomes a herrscher it happens in a series of steps but for now we will focus on the psychological, We know that the gestalt will of the honkai makes a connection to the new herrscher at some point this is why all of the nearby honkai seem to gravitate towards in a coordinated fashion, even sometimes at the orders of a herscher."

The people around the table nodded at this as it made sense why make a higher level commander of sorts if it would not be able to do such a thing, it would only hinder their effectiveness.

"There is the creation of the Alternate personality or Herscher personality. This seems to be focussed and amplified on all of the negative traits that caused the person to become one in the first place. It is theorised that a person could overcome this personality but has never before done so."

Nodding her head Theresa nodded her head before looking at the holo again "would you be able to confirm if you used your divine key?" This caused Fu Hua to think, "It would be a first as I have never done so before but it is a definite possibility."

Nodding at the answer Theresa looked around the room "we have our answer then, we shall use the divine key to check the story and proceed from there, whether it is drastic action or not will depend on what Fu Hua finds. Dismissed"

With that the holograms of the different people in attendance vanished. Now they just had to walk the path they had chosen.
