A New Branch

AN: I have decided to write this interlude/info chapter as a sort of guide to help clear up the timeline and to give a better guide of the events that have happened since it has a bridge between the dimensions. I will start with the purely Honkai then the mixed verse. After this I will cover any notable changes with characters (that are already mentioned) between the universes.

Original Dimension

Previous Era: The war against the honkai was a long and devastating one in which despite causing humanity to create phenomenal advances in almost all fields of scientific research and technology, in the end the war was lost. This was not to say that everything was lost as the great minds of the Era had created contingencies in the case that such a case as the war was lost should happen.

Their greatest warriors, the MANTIS were placed into cryo along with enough people to restart the civilization. These guardians were the overseers to begin and guide the new generations of the fledgling humanity, each had their own tasks given to them by their superiors.

All of them however failed.

Kolstien 1477: The event that set everything in motion, the defining event in the life of one person that could affect billions. That was the hanging of kallen kaslana. The light of Otto apocalypse lives the challenge to do better. The two might have had different ideals. Different ways to accomplish their goals. They may even have both been able to be able to accept different sacrifices when it came to meeting their ends. But it had always been her that kept him from going too far. It had been her that had kept him from spiralling.

Now she is gone.

Berlin 1952: the first incursion of the higher being of Honkai occurred. The herrscher. A being that can re-write the world around them. For all of their terrible power they are truly miraculous beings. So much was learned when the first was brought in. All that was known was that they existed from the fragmentary records from the previous era, having one has allowed our people to finally advance our theories about such beings to actual facts.

Now it is just a matter of time before the others start to manifest.

Belarus 1992: A little girl appeared out of a rift deep in the woods. Due to the honkai energies contained within the rift the girls 'natural form was now locked differently from what it was. Long purple hair with golden eyes stood out to any who looked at the girl. This was however not the features that would mark her future. It was the high degree of residual resistance to the honkai energy that she had gained from saturation due to the rift at such a young age that would lead her both to greatness and tragedy.

A fate that would scar her and the people around her forever.

Babylon labs 2000: Second honkai eruption

2017: Sirins consciousness had fully reconstituted, her sanity had returned, over the years within the clone kiana she had been watching the struggles and repressing the majority of the strength that she possessed, Only the strongest of emotions leaked through. Thus it was that when the imaginary tree was provoked into growing new branches, new possibilities she detected the fluctuations on the space/time planes.

What she did not know was that she would be dragged by the wave, her arrival in this dimension being one of the circumstances by this event. Thus it was that the girl known as sirin left the world and returned home.

Leaving behind a legacy, a girl who will do good in the world and carry out her wish to be loved and right her wrongs.

The new branch

Previous-Era: Dr Mobius the scientist behind the MANTIS program was obsessed with the idea of evolution. It was the reason why she was in the biological fields of science. Where dr mei specialised more on the technological sides such as the divine keys and other technological wonders she created the enhancements that aided the soldiers survive in the field.

One of her greatest inventions was actually the anti corruption serum that allowed for the curing of honki corruption. Unfortunately the expenses involved in its creation was so astronomical that it was not available for common use. It was not even known about except to those at the highest of echelons due to them not wanting people to get up hopes that they might be able to secure a shot when it might not be available.

One of the greatest technologies that was invented by her was done in tandem with Dr mei. Stigmata to create a form of genetic memory to help fight the honkai. Amplifying the abilities of the user at manipulating and resisting the energies. It would aid in the fight. This however led to the idea that would be the most controversial of them all.

Mobius using the technologies used in both STIGMA and MANTIS decided to create an experiment where people would adapt to the honkai, making them become essentially invisible to them, they would not need to fight them as they would be ignored.

The war would be over as humanity would have adapted and survived. She had everything for the experiment ready but had not been given the clearance to proceed. However the war was nearing its disastrous end. The MANTIS could win almost every battle they were in but the damage that was done to humanity for the victory was taking its toll.

Survival contingencies had been taken, bunkers with sleeper pods had been created. Colony ships launched. Even a terraformer to repair the damage done during the long sleep. It was now that she got her clearance but only for a select few as whilst they were willing to try it they would not risk the survival of the race. Thus began Mobius' final experiment.

Current erra: Fu hua and associates begin the task of teaching and growing the people. However as they do so Honkai beasts start to appear at alarming speeds. The decision to stop is made when the beast chiyou appears. Years continue to pass by and to the notice of the MANTIS the levels of incursions are slowly dropping. They decide to monitor the situation and continue to prepare.

Plagues and monsters of unknown origins start to appear that the MANTIS have never seen, despite having a Honkai signature they are clearly not Honkai beasts. It is decided that they should investigate the new occurrences.

It was not until Phoenix also known as Fu hua was approached by a man radiating a strange signature demanding the secret to her immortality that she finally got the answers. Wizards, the experiment by mobius had worked and they had gained abilities. The man had used some kind of mind control spell on her. Unfortunately for him she had the divine key fenghuang down.

It was not long till she had all the answers she wanted.

As time passed the incidents created by the Honkai and those caused by mundane causes such as famine or wars between countries and the wizards created by mobius far out stripped each other. And so it was that the organisation that the MANTIS had heard that was originally created to fight the Honkai had been retasked.

It was soon decided that they needed to have one of their number to keep an eye on the group, since all of the projects were on hold due to the unexpected results of mobius pet. It was decided that it would be Hua, If they could trust them maybe the others would join but for now they would let this Shicksal think that Hua was the only survivor.

Notes: Sirin, a child from the enclaves before her 'incident', her father from a long and established line of wizards, her mother a mix of shariak descent and mobius wizard lineage this gave her a powerful lineage. The mixture of the fresh into her fathers line reactivating old abilities. It was not until later when she had to reconstitute a body, she only had material from the current host of the core to use, one kiana kaslana, allowing her access to very little of her original unmodified genome.

This led to her using Kianas but instead of using Kiana's appearance she now used her original. Her wish to be Cecilia's little girl was in effect true though she would never say it to the woman, being too shy and embarrassed about what she did in the need of a body in an urgent situation.

Bella: Sirins best friend and trusted companion Benares her body destroyed and converted into the familiar of mei raiden Sirin managed to save her consciousness by putting her to sleep and saving it in the form of the plush that she carries everywhere she goes. She is only wasting the right moment to get her friend and family back until then she will not let her last precious one out of her sight.
