Chapter 35
I Give It One Star
"…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Are you done?"
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD! GET OUT OF ME RIGHT NOW SO I CAN MURDER YOU WITH MY OWN HANDS!"
"…I'm sensing a lot of hostility right now."
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!" I couldn't help but scream for what felt like the umpteenth time. I had no idea how long I had been on this beach, but I hadn't moved in a while. My emotions were swirling around like a storm. I felt rage in its purest forms before I was hit with a wave of depression only for it to disappear under a cloud of sadness.
"W-Whats h-happening to m-me." I could barely choke out the words as all I felt like doing was laying down and crying my heart out. "YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXPLANATION YOU STUPID BITCH!" There's the rage again. "Gods is this what women feel all the time. I-I just feel so emotional. Like I want to cry." Followed by the depression.
"Your body just went through a massive shift in hormones, which is making you extremely unstable, emotionally and mentally. It should be gone in a moment."
I could only nod at the explanation as I held back the tears, knowing that there was nothing that I could do but wait it out. Trying to find something else to occupy my emotionally overloaded mind I looked down at my hands. They were so different yet completely similar. My hands were still calloused, from countless hours learning how to use weapons, but they were definitely smaller. Thin, almost dainty fingers curled as I made a fist.
I could feel the fabric of my clothes tightening every time I moved, every time I took a breath. The threads of my shirt strained as my now larger chest pressed against the fabric. My jeans cut into my waist as my hips had increased in size.
A long lock of black hair fell over my face and out of nervous habit I moved it back behind my ear where it rested, just reaching my shoulders.
"You know I can tell that you would grow to quite the looker as a girl." Eve complimented. "Long legs, pretty face, potential for rather bountiful breasts and ass. I bet you would look great in a big sweater."
I don't know if my rage went full circle or if I just learned to accept the bullshit that brother/sister gives me, but I was feeling rather calm at the moment. A serene calm that forced me to take a step back and finally assess the fuckfest that was this situation. "Adamos."
"Eve."
Deeps breathes. "Eve." I spoke in a voice that showed I wasn't in the mood. "Can you PLEASE explain to me why your daughter turned me into a woman?"
"…What do you know of the Odyssey?"
I groan at the complete roundabout that pretty much par for course when I want to know something. "The hero Odysseus were lost at sea for a long time and they went to a bunch of islands." I explained not really seeing how this was relevant. "Wait! Are you saying we're lost in the sea of monsters!?" The hormones sent my mind into full blown panic mode.
"Percy. It is fully impossible for us to get lost at sea."
I could feel the flat stare that she was giving me. "Oh. Right." I felt a bit embarrassed about forgetting that. "But how does that fit in with why I was turned into a girl?"
"The place we are going to isn't really all that welcoming to males."
"Where are we going? Themyscira?"
"That's still in Greece and the Amazons are in Washington."
"Artemis' private beach?"
"You get one more."
"…The secret base of the one thousand feminazi vampires."
"…your mind is weird, but your half right. C.C's spa and Resort. That's where we were told your friends are."
I still wasn't seeing where he was going with this. The Odyssey. Man haters. A spa and resort. None of this really fighting together.
Spa and Resort.
Odyssey.
Not good to men.
Spa and Resort.
Hospitality.
Odyssey.
Odysseus.
Hospitality.
C.C.
C.C.
Circe!
"Circe was in the Odyssey!" I exclaimed. "She was a magical goddess that lured people in with her hospitality before turning them into animals!"
I felt Eve nodding in agreement at my deduction. "If you want to be specific, she turned men into animals."
"But that shouldn't matter they are all girls except…for…Beckendorf." My enthusiasm waned as I came to the sudden realization. "Shit. You don't think that she eats them once they turn into animals?"
"I doubt it. Such a thing requires a lot of equipment that would just hurt her spa's image." I can feel Eve shaking her head at the thought. "I mean no one would ever wish to go to a resort that's next to a slaughterhouse."
"Well whatever keeps her from killing him…I guess. But what do I do if he's been turned into an animal?" I asked. "I mean as much as you've taught me I haven't the faintest clue on human animal transformation."
"Luckily Circe should still specialize in the same magic. Enchantments, potions, poisons and animal-human transmutation. Should still have the weakness to."
"Moly?"
"Given to Odysseus by…?"
"Hermes!" I finally realized where she was going with it. I took off my backpack an immediately dug into the bag, pulling the bottle of multi vitamins out. It took a moment for the letters to stop swirling before I was able to read a large yellow circle in the upper left corner of the label that read 'Made with 100% organic Moly'. "I will never understand how gods can predict these things but I'm not complaining." I grinned as I shoved the bottle back into my bag.
"Now if I owned a spa, I would definitely put it by the beach. They have to have a dock system or something so that means I just have to follow the coastline." I nodded at my own plan before setting off down the coast. Each movement stretching the threads that held my clothes together and causing the waistline of my jeans to dig into my now wider hips.
"I seriously hope they have a place that sells clothes." I grimace as I can already feel the chafing.
X
So, it turns out that finding a mythical resort on a deserted island isn't all that hard. You just had to follow the rather peaceful music to the source.
Currently I was standing in front of the entrance to the resort looking completely out of place in my barely held together clothes. I was actually having one of those moments where you rethink entering a place because you feel like you don't belong, or you feel like you're under dressed.
Maybe I could just hop into one of the dozen or so random modes of transportation that sat there with no one watching them. I obviously couldn't take the helicopter or the Learjet. I would probably be killed as soon as I stepped one foot in it. None of the canoes would hold up or be comfortable for long rides. I did see what looked like the life boats from Clarisse's ship so that was a good sign.
"Maybe the expensive yachts." I could practically feel Eve's desire to take the shiny boats. "But the submarine is good too."
"I don't think I'm really feeling much for the sub." I internally grimace as I remembered the sub at the bottom of the ocean.
"Then the pirate ship." Eve said in excitement. "I can practically smell the historical value. It would be a great prize to take." Her excitement was practically infectious as I felt it well up within me. I personally wasn't all that excited about the ship but the idea of sailing back to camp as 'Captain' Jackson sounded amazing.
"Hello."
A rather pleasant voice broke me from my daydream of being the future king of the pirates. When I turned around there was a woman with a clipboard dressed in what can only be called flight attendant clothes. Her perfect make up and hair along with that pleasant smile gave her an air of kind professionalism.
"Change of plans. Kill her." Eve growled and I could feel a cold chill down my spine at the murderous intensity. I apparently wasn't the only one as the girl in front of me began to shuffle in discomfort.
"Wha? What happened to sneaking in and finding everyone?" I think in disbelief yet keep the pleasant smile on my face.
"That dog is a roman and she's keeping your friend's captive. That's plenty enough reason to drown her right now!"
"Is there something wrong?" I ask the girl in front of me. "I'm not attacking her! She hasn't done anything, and I don't know where everyone else is."
"You right." I almost let out an internal sigh of relief until, "We can waterboard the information out of her. Good thinking Perce."
"Oh nothing." The stewardess lookalike said, regaining her composure. "Just felt an odd chill, nothing more. Now is this your first time at the resort?"
"I am not going to water board her for information!" I mentally shouted. "And I'm not letting you do it either!" I cut her off before going back to the other conversation. "Yes, this is my first time here."
"Can I get a name."
"Perc-sephone Jacobson?" I stutter for a moment, earning me a look from the stewardess that she dismissed after giving her my most convincing smile.
"Well Persephone, I welcome you to C. C's Resort and Spa. Where true beauty is not just within. My name is Reyna and I will be your personal tour guide." Reyna spoke with practiced professionalism and warm hospitality before turning and walking through the main marble gates of the resort.
"Now if you look off to th…" Reyna begins her tour of the resort, pointing out places of interests that I should see and many other things that I barely even acknowledge due to the conversation I was currently having in my mind.
"Right. Good plan. We can scout out any other Roman mongrels that are here. I'm thinking we gather them all on the beach and kill them with a salvo of cannon fire from the sailing ship."
"We aren't doing any of that!" I mentally scream. I was just absolutely bewildered at the moment with no idea on what to do. I've heard about Adamos/Eve's hate for the roman civilization and its demigods on multiple occasions, but I didn't think it was this bad. Before it was a mutual agreement to get the other questers out of her as fast as possible, but now her focus is completely derailed. "Look. I know you have this weird hate boner for Romans—"
"They are nothing more than filthy mongrels who aren't deserving of their place in my domain!"
"—BUT! We came here for something else. There's a quest that needs doing that takes priority. The camp is more important than them."
"…We could wait till night and slit their thr—"
"We aren't doing any of that!" I was growing more frustrated by the moment. I don't know if it's because this girl was just a bystander or if there were still excess hormones in my body, but I was done with all this plotting. "We are NOT killing the tour guide! We are NOT hunting around this island for any Romans! And we are most certainly NOT doing anything that will draw attention to us before we find everyone else!"
"And that will be the end of the tour. Is there something wrong?" Reyna asks me, bringing me back to reality.
Eve doesn't say anything, and I can feel her hatred simmering under a begrudging acceptance. Feeling a bit easier now that I know the immortal in my head wasn't going to start crucifying people, I turn back to Reyna, putting on a sheepish smile. "Nothing's wrong. Its just—Well I was wondering if you could help me with my clothing issue." I lift my arm to show the tears in the side of my shirt. "I was kind of shipwrecked and my normal clothes were ruined. All I managed to scrape together were these from this backpack I found." I pointed to the infinibag.
Reyna's face shifted to one of sympathy. "Of course. There's a boutique around the corner that would have everything you need. I'll even help you pick out something nice."
X
I spent the next two hours or so picking out and trying on new clothes. And I had to admit it was actually quite the enjoyable experience. With Reyna's advice I left the store with two bags full of girl's clothes that while overall modest and similar to what I normally wore as a guy, they did wonders in showing off my feminine body. I'll even admit that I might have stared at my new figure a few times when Reyna gave me bras and underwear to try on.
…Gods my life is messed up.
Anyways at the moment I was currently wearing something that Reyna suggested. A grey designer shirt and denim hot pants that according to Reyna showed off my amazing legs and other assets. A red and black checkered jacket was tied around my waist in a fashionable look along with a dark grey beanie and low top sneakers to complete the outfit.
Reyna said that it was something called urban fashion, not that I had any idea what that specifically was, but it made me look very good, so I just decided to keep it.
"I really appreciate your help Reyna." I spoke sincerely. The entire time she had been nothing but kind and helpful to me, even offering to pay for the clothes despite my insistence that I did have the money to pay for myself.
"It's no problem at all." Reyna responded with a dazzling smile. "If there's anything else I can help you with don't be afraid to ask."
"Actually, I was wondering if you could tell me if there were any new arrivals to the resort recently…besides myself I mean."
"Hmm," Reyna hummed in thought before pulling her clipboard out and flipping through the pages. "There was a group of girls that entered the other day. One of them even managed to catch C.C's eye and she decided to take care of her personally. Now if there isn't anything else, I should get back to my station."
"Thank you for all your help again Reyna." I said sincerely. Even if this island is a deathtrap that people never seem to leave, Reyna has been nothing short of a delight.
"No problem. It's my job to make sure that our guests are all happily taken care of."
I watched as she walked away, maneuvering past employees and guests alike, even petting a jaguar that was resting nearby on a beach chair.
"I don't know what you were talking about she was totally nice." I mentally as the goddess who has been completely silent during my entire interaction.
"Just you wait. She'll show her true colors." The goddess said, clearly upset with having to be so close to the apparent Roman.
"Whatever." I huffed as I stored the new clothes in my bag. "Now where do we go to find the others?" I looked around as walked through the resort that I had to admit looked wondrous.
Pristine marble and blue water everywhere. Terraces scaled up the mountain like massive steps, each one with their own infinity pool and I could even see a few swim up bars. Each pool was connected in multiple ways, from water slides, bridges, and even underwater tubes that you could swim through.
I took a fruit smoothie from one of the waitresses. "Mmmm. Strawberry, banana, mango and…kiwi?" A fountain next to me spouted water in the shape of a horse and then some kind of bird. Animals lazed about everywhere, acting as domestic as normal dogs and cats. "Oh. There's a luau this afternoon." I read aloud as I saw a sign written out artistically in chalk. "Maybe I can find them there if I don't have any luck now." I mutter mostly to myself as I walk off. "Lets see, where would I go if I was each of them?"
"Clarisse would be somewhere with weapons and fighting but I don't see anything like that on the maps." I look through the pamphlet that was distributed at every second or so corner. "Would a Spa even have something like a dojo or arena? The closest thing would be rhythmic dance therapy, whatever that is, and hot yoga. I have no idea where Lou would be, maybe the rock wall?"
"Maybe she's the one Circe picked out."
"Maybe. That girl can never say no to the idea of magic. It says there's a library around here. That's definitely where Annabeth is…"
"Percy."
"I really don't want her to be the first to see me like this." I groan. It was bad enough that I would have to see her eventually but having her be the first person to see him like this was like pouring lemon juice on a paper cut.
"Woman up Persephone." God dammit. "I had to deal with the Roman so you can look for Annabeth first. She's gonna see you either way so just do it."
"Uggghhh. Fine. Guess I'll just rip off the band aid."
X
I had to admit Circe's library is really impressive. It was like one of those libraries you see in movies and cartoons. The ones that reach the ceiling and you have to use one of those rolling ladders to get to the top. Not to mention the easy to navigate pathways with little light up signs.
It actually wasn't that hard to find Annabeth. I just needed to find the architecture section and look for the largest pile of books.
Sure enough there was a large pile of books stacked on a lone table in the middle of this empty portion of the library. I see a small sliver of blonde hair behind the stack.
"Here we go." I say more to myself than anything as I walk past the pile of literature. Annabeth was dressed in a rather expressive looking dress with expertly done hair that made her look like a princess in a Greek historical movie. She was so engrossed in whatever it was that she was reading that she didn't even see me coming up.
"Annabeth." I whisper. Years of societal conventions keeping me speaking any louder inside a library, but she didn't even notice. "Annabeth." I say a little louder but still nothing.
"ANNABETH!" I shout as I slam my hands on the table in a loud smack. The girl yelped in surprise at the sound, accidentally hitting one of the piles of books around her and making a large mess.
It took a bit of effort to hide the grin on my face as she gave me a glare that could wither paint.
"What the Hades is wrong with you." She said in a more hushed tone, but still sounding just as pissed as she looked. "I don't know who you think you are but if you know what's good for you, you'll walk away before I make you."
"Geez even a day at the spa and you're still a pain." I mutter but apparently not quiet enough.
"Look I don't know you so its best if you leave. Now."
"Only if you come with me."
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
"And what are you even doing here anyways?" I look at the book in front of her. "How is ancient Hellenistic architecture going to help find the Fleece." I chuckle as she looks like a deer in the headlights. It was only my instincts that saved me at the last moment as my hand snapped up to grab Annabeth's wrist, her dagger about an inch from my throat.
"You forgot that you're no longer a boy, didn't you?"
"Oh fuck!"
In a swift motion the daughter of Athena was already in my personal space. I felt my feet lifting off the ground as Annabeth flipped me over her shoulder.
If it had been last year, I would have found myself on my backside with her dagger in my throat, but now was different. In what I could only describe as an act of inhumane dexterity and flexibility, I twisted my core as I was airborne. My body shifting as soon as my back landed on the floor. Annabeth dropped her dagger and caught it with her opposite hand. Her arm raised and descended down on me all in one fluid motion as if it was rehearsed only for my foot to catch her wrist, my legs doing a perfect split from my laid-out position.
That split moment was enough for me get some distance and back on my feet before I leaped over the table knocking over a pile of books.
"Shit Annabeth, will you calm down!" I shouted as I dodged a book that was thrown at me. "It's me! Percy."
"You must be as dumb as he is if you think I'll believe that bullshit. Your obviously a girl." Annabeth growled as she jumped over the table, throwing an encyclopedia at me,
"Who the fuck are you calling dumb bird face!" I roared, knocking the encyclopedia away. "Why don't you actually use those large ass owl eyes and take a look at my face."
"Check your own first cause mine work fine." Annabeth slashed with her dagger before I caught her on the backhand and pushed her against one of the bookshelves in the library.
"We need to find the others." I ground out but she her only response was a swift kick to my knee, forcing me to kneel in front of her. I bit down the pain and grabbed a book off the shelf to shield myself as the dagger came down on me. It pierced through the entire thing with a little bit of the tip visible on the other side.
Using the new hold, I twisted the book, tearing the knife from her hands and tossing the two objects away only to get a punch to the face and the back of my neck against the table.
"Fuck that stings." I could feel a bit of blood coming from my nose. It wasn't broken thank the gods, but it would be quite tender.
Annabeth rushes over, her leg held high in a spartan kick aimed straight at my face. I lowered myself to the floor quickly, avoiding having my neck broken against the edge, before rising up and holding her leg over my shoulder. With the new leverage I caught her off balance, lifting her foot over her head and pulling the entire limb at the knee and throwing her body to the ground and making her land on her side.
Not wanting to waste the advantage I pinned her to the ground, stepping on one of her arms with my leg and hold the other in my grip. My knee pressed into her stomach, pinning her waist down while my lone free hand grasped her chin, pushing her head into the ground.
"I think that now is a good time to reset our tempers." I was breathing heavy as I looked her dead in the eyes. My heart beat against my chest as I began to calm down. "Annabeth, we don't have time for this. We're trapped on Circe's island and we need to find the others and rescue Beckendorf."
I slowly push off her and stand up keeping my arms ready in case she tries something. The daughter of Athena slowly rises to her feet, her eyes not holding an ounce of trust.
"She's backing up towards the book pile. Potential weapons." I noted as I kept my eyes on her. "Annabeth it's really me Percy. I was turned into a girl by a goddess when I asked for her help."
"Likely story. You just happened to find a goddess that wanted to help you." Annabeth scoffs but I can see her eyes searching the room for anything of use. Sadly, for her the only exit is past me.
"I never said I didn't have to do something for her." Annabeth goes for the table, obviously trying to put a divide between us, but I kick the side of the table sending the corner closest to me into the far bookshelf. "What would it take to convince you that its really me?"
"An oath on the Styx would be nice." She scoffs.
"Fine. I swear on the Styx that I am Percy Jackson in the form of a girl." I speak quickly before Eve could do anything.
"You fucking moron! / Are you insane!" Eve and Annabeth scream at me at the same time as the sound of thunder echoes through the library.
"OF ALL THE STUPID FUCKING THINGS TO DO!" Eve screams at me causing a sharp pain to cut through my skull only followed by the pain of a slap to the back of my head by an irate blonde.
"You. Don't. Use. The. Styx. As. A. Lie Detector!" Annabeth screams at me, emphasizing each word with a smack.
"Will you stop! Haven't you hit me enough!"
"Apparently not if I have to beat this into your thick skull!"
"I agree. It seems like the only way."
"You stay out of this!"
I push Annabeth away as I massage the temples of my skull and alleviate most of the headache from the both of them. It was then that Annabeth finally composed herself enough to fully recognize the situation. "Oh, my gods you're a girl." She whispered as she looked over my body. "Oh my gods you've actually been turned into a girl." She repeated in disbelief.
"Yeah I'm a girl now. Take a picture why don't you. It'll last longer." I snapped getting annoyed as she keeps staring at me.
"I don't know if I want to or not." I hear her say with a hint of...jealousy? As I turn around and walk towards the exit I could have sworn I also heard her add on something about unfair sizes in a disappointed tone.
X
"I never thought that Clarisse would be at the massage parlor of all places."
"And where did you expect her to be?"
"Trying to stab someone over something." I shrugged though Annabeth did seem to nod in acceptance after a moment of thought. The two of us easily walking into the massage parlor, not even getting stopped
As it turns out this entire island is kind of like the Lotus Casino, only a bit different. Rather then drugging people and keeping them her forever instead there are magical enchantments that make all who live here feel a blissful relaxation. It wasn't anything condemning or permanent, but it did make ones worries wash away along with most other thoughts of responsibility so that they would never want to leave.
I bet if I sold this to Yankee candle, I would make a fortune.
Wait. That isn't important.
Anyways the two of us walk through without any problems as the massage parlor excepts walk ins regularly. We would have walked all the way to the back if I hadn't spotted a head of reddish brown hair in one of the rooms since luckily this place didn't have doors and minimal walls in order to create a more open atmosphere.
Annabeth had to walk around the shallow rectangular pool that separated us, but I just chose to walk over it.
Clarisse didn't even notice us as we walked into her personal room. The pleasant aroma from the incense provided an instant soothing effect while the soft music drowned out all other sounds. The daughter of Ares was face down on one of those massage beds with steaming wet rocks placed along her spine.
"You think she's sleeping?" I asked but only got a shrug response.
Annabeth didn't want to waste any time and shook Clarisse's should rather roughly, not enough to move her, but it would have definitely woken a normal person up. Annabeth clicked her tongue in annoyance. She proceeded to flip Clarisse over, luckily, she was wearing a towel over her modesty, and opened one of her eyes. "She's way to out of it."
"I wouldn't blame her." Annabeth looked over with a raised brow, wanting me to explain. "There's a ton of enchanted shit in here." I explained as I took a sniff of the incense. I could feel the magic laced into the it as well as the music box. Even the drapes are enchanted to only let in the most relaxing amount of sunlight and wind. "From the walls to the massage table. Everything is enchanted to maximize comfort. If this place wasn't a complete feminazi murder hole, I wouldn't mind spending a day here." I mutter that last part as I place down the incense and walk over and stand next to Annabeth, leaning over Clarisse.
"Well we don't have time so were going to have wake her up the easy way."
"Wait what do you me—"
SMACK!
SMACK! "Gah dammit! Again, with the face!"
On the upside Clarisse was now up looking ready to fight like always despite only being covered by a towel.
The downside was that Annabeth didn't warn me that she was going to slap the shit out of the daughter of war so I was the only one of us that didn't move back when Clarisse reflexively countered.
"And it's the same spot as before!" I groan as I try to feel if my nose had actually broken, which it luckily hadn't. "Why are all the women in my life prone to violence?" I say not really to anyone.
"I should really teach you how to dodge better." Eve sounded exasperated.
"I think its less of a dodging problem and more a lack of proper communication." I think as I grab one of those resort waters bottles that are basically store-bought ones with a different label and pour it on my face, letting the liquid heal my aching face.
"That you Princess?" Clarisse relaxes just a bit, dropping her fighting stance but I could still see that her muscles were tense and ready to spring into action at any moment.
"Put your clothes on." Annabeth says tossing Clarisse her clothes that were in the corner of the room. "We need to leave now."
"Wait are you not going to explain anything?" Clarisse asks eyeing me up. "Like who's the hipster chick?"
"That's Percy. He's a she now." Annabeth says before walking out of the room.
Clarisse looks at me with confusion and I could only sigh. "It's…a long story." I say before leaving the room to give her the privacy she needs to change and so she doesn't see the look of depression on my face.
Not a few minutes later Clarisse steps out in her normal clothes, which were basically military cargo pants and a camp t-shirt along with her bandana tying up her hair.
"Alright. Explain."
X
"So, you went to Atlantis"
"Yes."
"Got into a fight with two of your siblings, one of which was practically black out drunk."
"Affirmative."
"Swam through the deepest parts of the ocean, being chased by monsters."
"Uh huh."
"Only to get turned into a girl and dropped this island as a reward."
"That would be the process of events." I nodded. I had given an abridged version of what happened as we went on our way to find Lou and Beckendorf. Of course, I left out a few essential facts to make it more believable.
Clarisse let out a snort. "It's official. Your life is fucked up Prissy."
Oh, how right she is, yet she doesn't even know it. It kinda makes me want to cry.
"I know." I could only lower my head in solemn exeption. "Other than my messed-up existence, are you sure that this is where Lou is?" The three of us were standing in front of a nice looking open aired villa. It had plenty of open space windows as well as an area that is connected to the building with closed off walls with a chimney poking out of the top. The biggest shocker however was that it wasn't on the highest point of the island, I mean it was pretty much in the center of the resort, but it wasn't as grandiose as the mansions on Olympus.
"Yeah we're sure." Annabeth spoke up. "C.C. came to us and took Lou and Beckendorf with her."
"Said she had great potential or something and that Beckendorf needed to be cleaned up." Clarisse added.
I gave them both a skeptical look. "And neither of you questioned where they've been?"
The two of the at least had blushed at the obvious before settling down and giving me a defensive look, Annabeth being the first to respond. "Beckendorf had a few injuries and was covered in oil and grime when we landed so we thought he was being taken to the infirmary or something."
I held my hands up in a placating manner. "All right. I believe you. So how do we get inside without alerting C.C.?"
"We walk right in."
"You can't be serious?"
"Its after lunch." Clarisse says. "She should be leading the hot yoga class right about now, so I think we have a bit of time."
"She teaches hot yoga?" I can't help but ask. I know that the gods had lives out in the mortal world but leading a class in hot yoga was not something I would have suspected.
"It's actually very relaxing."
"Oookkk…" I decide to drop it because if I start to think about what gods do in their free time, I would be here all day. "Here. Eat one of these." I hand both of them one of the vitamins that Hermes gave me. The bottle says that they were good for five hours' worth of energy so I thought that it would be a good idea to go in already immune then to do it if we get caught.
"These kinda suck." Annabeth grimaces as she chews one of the vitamins. Clarisse was mirroring her expression and I don't think I was any better. They tasted about how you would expect vitamins to taste.
"Just swallow quickly." I say as I do just that. The vitamin being dry in my mouth. "All right let's go."
The three of us decided not to go through the front door as it was to obvious and walked around the perimeter of the building until I found an open window in the second floor. The natural decorative vines that grew on the walls served as the perfect way to scale the walls all the way to our entryway.
Inside was just as I expected of someone who was a master practitioner of magic. Books lined the walls with random preserved materials scattered around. Many different plants were hung up to be dried for further use in the corner and there was shelf with labeled jars that I was sure that I shouldn't open. But it didn't seem like an actual workshop as it seemed far to small.
"Don't touch anything." I whispered as I saw them both reaching for something. Annabeth an old looking scroll and Clarisse an ornate dagger. Both of them sheepishly back away before following me as we make our way through the rooms.
The second floor didn't really hold anything of worth, so we made our way down the stairs to the first floor. This however was a bit more difficult as the open appearance of the first floor meant that anyone looking our way would see us. This forced Clarisse and I to hug the walls and hide whenever we thought someone was looking our way from outside. Annabeth didn't have this problem thanks to her damn invisibility hat that she carries around.
I swear I could hear her laughing at us.
"She's not in any of the rooms." Clarisse grunted in annoyance as we hid in one of the few places that we could stand freely due to the drapes the only things in here was a couch, a few dressers and a cage filled with guinea pigs that wouldn't shut up. "Maybe she's somewhere else."
"She's definitely here. Any sorceress would keep their workshop close to them and if she's taken Lou as an apprentice then there's no way that girl would leave." I said.
"But wasn't that the workshop upstairs?"
"No." I shook my head. "It was far to bare. We're looking for a large space that's closed off with preferably stone. It keeps the magic within the workshop so that it doesn't run rampant outside if something goes wrong. Most sorcerers also keep their workshops in a secret place so they're not disturbed."
"I think I know where she is." Annabeth finally speaks up as she powerwalks away. With no other idea the two of us follow after her into the only closed off area of the first floor. It wasn't anything of note, just a store house filled with a bunch of different items, mostly things for food.
"Care to share with the class what you know?" I ask as I watch Annabeth look around the room before tossing sacks of flour and grains aside, creating a massive mess all over the floor. "Hey!" I shout before myself and Clarisse forcibly drag Annabeth away.
The blonde nearly kicks Clarisse in the face before escaping our grasp. "What the Hades!?"
"What do you think your doing creating a mess? Do you want it to look like we've been here?" I ask incredulously.
"I was trying to find where the workshop was." Annabeth blew a stray hair out of her face from the tussle before crossing her arms under her chest. "And it looks like I was right." She nods to the corner where there's a trap door.
"You could have told us before doing something like that." I heard Clarisse grumble and I couldn't help but agree. Children of Athena always had this annoying tendency to forget that other demigods weren't blessed with increased intelligence.
"Actually, wisdom and intelligence are two separate things. Just look at any Gamer."
"I don't see how they aren't and also where have you been? I really could have used you trying to find Circe's workshop and rescuing Lou."
"Its been so long since I've been in this form, I kinda forgot all the nice outfits I have."
"Please tell me that you haven't been ignoring the situation to play dress up."
"I haven't been ignoring the situation to play dress up." Eve says in the sort of tone that shows they are obviously lying.
"Don't you bullshi—" "Percy."
"Huh?" Both of the girls were giving me weird looks.
"You were making weird faces while staring off into space." Annabeth said with a raised brow. "You didn't even help with the door." I then notice that the trap door was now open and everything around it was pushed to the side.
"I-uh…I was wondering…" I tried to find something to say, but naturally my mouth to brain filter didn't work and inspiration came from the worst contributor.
"Are boobs normally this big?"
"Are boobs normally this big." I watch as both their faces flush bright crimson and if the heat I was feeling is any indication, I was matching or even exceeding them. "I-I mean my back has been a b-bit sore and there's only been one difference and never mind I'm gonna s-stop talking!" I could barely stammer out while Eve is laughing her ass off in my head. I quickly walk over to the trap door.
"I hate you!" I mentally scream, my face still red as I listen to the goddess laugh. Underneath the laughter however I thought I heard the other two girls say the word 'unfair' before following after me.
No one spoke as we made the short descent down the steps and through a small illuminated passageway to a door. Behind it I could hear noises that meant that someone was inside. Opening the door, I was treated to a rather bizarre sight. I was almost glad since it broke the awkward silence that had been surrounding us.
There standing in the middle of the room was Lou trying desperately to balance multiple things in her person. There was a glass jar balanced on her foot, scrolls almost falling out of her arms, some kind of tool in her mouth and what looked like a fire extinguisher in her hand.
Also, there was a large fire behind her.
…
…
…
"AHH! PUTITOUTPUTITOUTPUTITOUT!" I don't know who said it but the three of us jumped into action. Annabeth grabbed the fire extinguisher from Lou's hand and started to spray down the table while Clarisse began shoving stuff away from the flames to prevent anything else from catching on fire.
I, however, took the direct approach and reached out to the water in the room and pulling it out from faucet in the wall and practically drowned that half of the room. Unfortunately, none of the others were safe and got an impromptu bath. "Sorry." I chuckle sheepishly before willing the room dry now that the fire was out.
"Thanks, you guys." Lou sighed in relief after having managed to put down everything she was holding. "I think I added a bit too much in the recipe and it kinda combusted, I'll just have to use less next time." She chuckled at our flat stares. "By the way who's the hot girl?" Lou asked in her tactless way.
I could feel the cloud of depression hanging over me as I was once again reminded that I was a girl.
"That's Prissy. He was turned into a girl."
"…PFFFTTHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Stop laughing! At least show a bit of worry about me!" However, my pleas feel on deaf ears, probably because Lou was laughing so hard. "I came all this way to rescue my sidekick and this is the thanks I get?!"
"Who the fuck are you calling a sidekick fish for brains!?"That stopped the laughter real quick.
"You of course, you damn midget!"
"You trying to pick a fight bitch?!"
"All right cut it out." Clarisse butted in and stopping Lou from lunging at me by lifting her off the ground in a full nelson. That didn't stop her from trying to kick me from across the room until she settled down. "You cool."
"…Yes."
Clarisse took a few moments before letting the girl down but judging by the look she had she didn't fully believe her.
"Oookk? So, do you have any idea where Beckendorf is? You were the last one to see him." Annabeth asked.
"Hmm? Well the last I saw him was when C.C separated us into different rooms upstairs." Lou had a thoughtful expression on her face as she tried to remember. "After that I never saw him."
"You think he's still somewhere around here?" Annabeth asked, "Actually what even were you doing down here?"
"Oh C.C said that I had major potential as a sorceress, so she took me down here to teach me." The biggest grin spread across Lou's face. "I've learned quite a lot since I came down here and there's so much more! Although C.C has been trying very hard to teach me transmutation magic instead of oth…"
Lou trailed on about what she's been up to with Annabeth asking a few questions, but I honestly wasn't listening. Instead I was slowly coming to a startling realization as I remembered a few key facts.
Circe was a Master of Animal-human transmutation.
In the Odyssey she turned men into pigs.
There was a cage of Guinea pigs in the room we were just in.
"You don't think…?"
"Why else would a goddess have such animals. Those vitamins Hermes gave you should be able to reverse the magic used to transform him if he is one of them."
I took off into a sprint, not even waiting for the others as I skipped the steps while ascending. I could hear their voices calling to me, but I didn't listen as I slid before the crate of guinea pigs, now holding the jar of vitamins in my hand. The small rodents all squeaked in surprise before running rampant in the cage. None of them would stay still. "Which one is he?" I frantically searched.
"Dammit why the hell did you run off for Prissy?"
"I-I think that one of these Guinea pigs is Beckendorf. These vitamins should be able to turn him back to normal if we feed it to him." I shakily said as I tried to find out which one was Beckendorf. Maybe if I tried looking from a different angle.
"What? Are you sure? Which one?" Annabeth asked, my worry now spreading to the rest of them.
"I don't know?" I said. "They all look pretty mangy and none of them look like—"
"Well, well." A someone speaks from across the room. Her voice was smooth and even, like what one would expect from royalty or a noble, yet underneath it I could hear the slightest bits of disappointment and anger. "It seems a few guests aren't where they are supposed to be. Did any of you truly think that I would leave my own home undefended against intruders? How foolish." The four of us turned around to see a gorgeous woman standing in the doorway flanked by two guards. Her amber gold eyes glowed with power, only being further emphasized by her short black hair and black dress.
I internally curse myself for not properly keeping track of how much time we were here.
"And Lou Ellen. I am very disappointed in you. You had the potential to be the next great sorceress in the Greek world. I offered my teachings, and this is how you repay me?" I could practically feel the magic within the words. My mind twisting into as a guilty feeling welled in my chest that I beat down. It was all false. And thanks to the vitamins it wasn't nearly as effective as it should have been. Luckily Lou had enough experience with magic to resist it herself.
"Not if it means giving up my friends."
"To bad. I would have looked forward to seeing what you became. But I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with turning you into something cute!" Circe and her two goons raised their hands as magical power began to gather. Each of us pulled out our weapons, but I pulled out my shield and lunged in front of Lou, blocking the magical bolt. The magic did nothing to Annabeth and Clarisse, proving the multivitamins actually worked.
"What?" Circe gasped before she saw the jar in my hand and grew enraged. "Curse Hermes and his multivitamins! They are nothing but a fad. They are practically thirty percent chalk!"
"Screw you you wrinkled hag!" Lou shouted at Circe before grabbing the vitamins and dumping the entire thing into the cage. Circe screamed for her to stop but the damage was already done.
The cage exploded as about a dozen or so guys grew from where the guinea pigs were, with only one of them being familiar to me. The rest were disheveled looking guys wearing what I could only describe as pirate wear.
"Beck!" I screamed out drawing his attention and I was inwardly glad. Other than a little twitchy he didn't look any worse for wear.
"Arggghhh" Bellowed the largest of the pirates. He looked a lot more intimidating then the others. His beard braided with burning wicks and his eyes holding just a spark of madness. "What's the witch done t'me!"
I heard Annabeth gasp behind me. "I recognize you! Your Edward Teach! The son of Ares."
"Teach?" Clarisse looked confused before a look of realization hit her. "Wait you mean Blackbeard's my brother!?"
"Aye. A fellow child of war!" The pirate bellowed "You have my thanks dear girl." Blackbeard said with sounded like actual sincerity, but the bloodthirsty grin was too off putting. "Now allow me to show you how we do things." Blackbeard growled as he pulled a flintlock pistol from out of his bandolier and aimed it at Circe and her goons who took a step back in fright. "Run her through lads! Make her bleed for all she's worth!" Circe and her guards screamed as they were chased out of the building with the pirates behind them.
I shook off my stupor to finally address the reason we were here. "Beck are you, all right?"
The son of Hephaestus stood on shaky feet as he brushed the wood shavings off of his body and hair. "Yeah." He said with a small twitch. "A bit jittery but I'll be fine."
"Come on you guys." Annabeth interrupted trying to push us along. "While Circe's distracted, we can get away."
And just like that the five of us ran through the resort like there was a pack of Hellhounds on our heels. All around us the resort was in ruins as Blackbeard and his men made quick work. Entire tables were overthrown, towels laid scattered and torn on the ground, and some of the pool chairs were on the roof while the pool itself was somehow on fire.
Out of the corner of my eye I see something and on reflex I threw my shield. The metal disc flew through the air, striking a pirate in the chest before the magic activated, making it return to my grasp. I didn't see their expressions but I was kinda hoping the others saw how cool that looked. I ran over to see what exactly the pirate was after, the others following after me, most likely out of curiosity.
"Reyna?!" I wasn't expecting to run into the attendant again but here she was in a ruined suit, one of her heels was missing, and next to her was most likely an older sister or something with how similar they looked.
"Persephone?" She just looked shocked.
"Percy, we got to go." Annabeth urged heading before the exit.
"Come on." I grabbed Reyna and dragged her and the other girl along.
"Percy you better not be doing what I think you are." Eve growled but I ignored her. She didn't take to kindly and I was hit with a migraine but powered through and followed after the others all the way to the docks.
"Which ship?" Beckendorf asked as he looked between the modes of transportation.
I run over to the little podium nearby and smashed it open, hoping that I was right and luckily for me I was. Inside the podium were an assortment of keys. "Reyna, which one of the turns on the yacht?!" I shouted.
The girl looks confused before grabbing one of the keys. "Here."
I push the keys back which earned me a confused look and another shot of pain through my skull. "Stop it." But I received no answer, only the feeling of intense anger. "Take this and leave the island."
"Wha-But we—"
"Just go!" I shout cutting her off and making her jump. I must have done louder than I wanted to but the sharp pain in my head wasn't easing up. "This island is already being ransacked by pirates. Staying here won't help you." I explain, borderline pleaded. I may have not known her for long, but she was very nice to me for the amount of time we were together. Reyna looked like she wanted to argue until the older girl grabbed her shoulder and motioned over to the boat. The girl looked conflicted but ultimately chose to escape on the fancy boat.
"Great now we can take the other boat." Annabeth went to grab the keys, but I stopped her.
"We're taking the pirate ship." I firmly stated. I don't know what it was but I just felt like it was the right one to take over all the others. Annabeth looked like she wanted to argue but the pain in my head was making me a little less cooperative. "We're taking the pirate ship." I ground out before walking over to the plank and onto the ship that was labeled: Queen Anne's Revenge.
The others not really caring so long as they got off the island.
"Arrgghh." I could hear Blackbeard shout from behind us. "Those brats are a-boarding me vessel!"
We rushed aboard the ship and pulled up the plank. It was then that the other realized that none of them knew how to properly sail the massive three mast ship. "How are we supposed to get out of here?! We don't have the slightest idea nor enough people to sail this ship." Annabeth yelled at me, but I ignored her and focused on pushing as much of my will into the ship as possible.
Almost immediately I felt as if the ship came to life. As if it had woken from a long nap. "Onwards!" I shouted as the ropes snapped taut, the canvases unfurled, and wooden pulleys turned. Everyone shouted in surprise as the grabbed something nearby to keep themselves steady as the ship left the docks with surprising speed. I could see the ship that Reyna was on heading in some random direction away from us.
I ran up the steps to the back of the ship and stood atop the quarterdeck as I willed the water to snatch the cool looking pirate captains' hat from Blackbeard's head, cleaning it mid transition and placing it atop my own.
With a great smile on my face I shouted to the top of my lungs something i had always wanted to say.
"YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER TODAY AS THE DAY YOU ALMOST CAUGHT CAPTAIN PERCY JACKSON!"
I could practically hear the theme song in the air. as i leapt back down to the ships wheel. "Totally worth the headache."
CANON OMAKE: The beginning of a trope
"Auntie Hera why must I wear this dress?" A small child in a dress with long black hear whined as they walked through the forests of their island home with their two aunts.
"Because it is far too dangerous out in the world child." Hera explained as she collected a bushel of berries. It would add some flavor to tonight's dinner. "Your father went to great efforts to hide your existence from the titans. But if one of them found out and came for you." The goddess put her hand over her chest in horror of the idea. "I don't think my heart could take such a thing Adamos."
"But that doesn't explain why I must dress like a girl." Adamos looked down at the dress he was wearing. It was a pristine white chiton meant for a woman that went all the way down to his ankles.
"Because then others won't recognize you." His other aunt, Hestia, spoke up. "If we dress you as a girl then we can pass you off as a nymph at the very least."
"I guess its ok." Adamos said, his tone showing that he didn't reject the idea but was still confused by it. "This dress is kinda comfy." He gave a small twirl and a smile to his two aunts.
The two goddesses had to bite their lips to keep from cooing and cuddling the godling. They would never tell him this, but secrecy was only half the reason. The other half being that Adamos was at that age where gender was highly ambiguous for a child and thus, they could dress him up in whatever way they liked since their brothers were off looking for support for their war with the titans.
"You don't think this will have any long-lasting consequences do you." Hestia whispered to her sister.
"No, no." Hera shook her head. "At least I don't think so. I mean a few more time couldn't hurt?"
Both goddesses watched as the young godling in the visage of an adorable little girl handed them a bouquet of handpicked flowers with a blinding smile.
"A few more times wouldn't hurt." They both thought at the same time.
Neither of them knew it but this would lead to the development of an alter ego for the godling as well as the development of cross dressing throughout the world.
AN: Yay this chapter is finally out. It took me a while to figure out how i wanted this to go and one big change was that Percy saved Reyna and Hylla despite Adamos'/Eve's wishes. Also the only reason he met Reyna was because my Percy arrived at a different time then the canon Percy. And it just so happened to be Reyna's shift. Anyways i really hope you are all enjoying this particularly long chapter. Remember to follow and maybe leave a review. If its a good enough headcanon i might turn it into a canon omake.
Reviews:
Ex555: Adamos/Eve, like many Greek deities, is bisexual. He leans more towards woman but that doesn't mean he denies the advances of men as Eve. Although Eve was hiding out in Ireland to get away from someone else, not several male lovers.
JoJo Jesus: I will be doing what I love. Also, the whole fem Percy was something I planned from the beginning. I don't know if I'll do it write but I'll do it the best I can.
Guest: There is a difference between gods and demigods so I doubt any god would prefer Percy's company over Adamos, but who knows.
Jsername: It's the jutsu that turns the main character Naruto into a female version of himself.
Matt: It's a matter of perspective really. Canon Percy is weaker and less prepared than my own, but at the same time my Percy has to but heads with Adamos every so often and deal with torturous training and other things.
: No update schedule. To restrictive. No new powers. Im not abandoning. Perlia is approaching soon. I will go as far as I can with this story.
Warlord009: Yes it is.
N3XT: Tia was cute. Just imagine a Tier Harribel from bleach but as a small, happy child.
Jason wu: Not all domains are some cool powered aspect. Some can just be metaphysical concepts or just random skills. And Tiamat's relationship with the Greek pantheon would best be described as strained. She's on cordial terms with some but its not really friendly terms. Adamos was her connection to Greece so without him she's stuck as the sole goddess of a nonexistent pantheon. Luckily she's a primordial deity so she is fine as long as the ocean exists. And Percy doesn't realize just how much Adamos is influencing him nor just hom much Adamos' presence gives him authority with other gods. He'll learn his lesson but not right now.
Yesse2362: Sorry if you felt it was cringe.
