Night had finally fallen, and CJ and the rest of the Triads were outside the casino garage with the van for the heist. The occupant of the planning room and Woozie's assistant hopped inside the back as Woozie and Zero both shut the doors behind them.
CJ was also dressed up in a white dress shirt, black, vest, and black dress pants. He was dressed for the impending heist. "We all good?" CJ asked Woozie and Zero.
"Yeah we're good," Woozie answered.
"Alright," CJ replied. "I'll see you at the backdoor. Let's roll!"
So CJ walked away in search of a vehicle parked outside the Four Dragons Casino. He hopped into a red Sultan and made a U-turn to get on the other side of the road of The Strip. Zero had given CJ an earpiece to give him some feedback.
"Carl, can you hear me, okay?" Zero asked through the earpiece.
"Yeah, loud and clear," CJ responded as he drove down to Caligula's Casino.
"Okay," Zero began to explain, "we're en route in the armored truck."
"Okay," CJ replied, "I'm a get a move-on."
CJ finally made it to the Caligula's Palace. He parked his car outside and made his way to the entrance. CJ had four minutes to get the rest of the team inside. He knew he had to avoid attracting attention inside. Otherwise, his cover would be blown. So he entered the casino without trying to seem suspicious.
"Okay, this is it," Zero told CJ through the earpiece. "Play it cool, Carl. Play it cool!"
"I'm cool, a'ight," CJ replied
"You sure?" Zero asked. "You sound kind of edgy to me."
"I'm cool, okay?" CJ told him.
"Okay, okay!" Zero said. "Now make your way to the staff door."
CJ made a right turn in search of the staff door Zero mentioned to him. He then looked to his right and saw the door up ahead. So he made his way to the door, only to run into an employee.
"Ain't seen you 'round here before," the employee told CJ. "You new?"
"Yeah," CJ replied, trying to make up a lie. "I'm, eerr standing in for Jerry, he's ill."
"Who's Jerry?" Zero asked through the earpiece.
"Shut up," CJ whispered out loud.
"What?" the employee asked confused.
CJ tried to feign a cough. "I... I think I got Jerry's cough," he told the employee.
The employee just rubbed his chin and walked away. This gave CJ an opportunity to use the swipe card to enter the lower floors of the security room.
"Great!" Zero cheered. "Next stop, the backup generator room. It's down one level."
CJ saw the room up ahead and entered in deference. "A'ight," CJ replied. "I'm in the generator room."
"Okay," Zero instructed, "the ventilation grills are on the back wall. Throw the gas down one of these."
"You got it," CJ said.
Zero had given CJ some portable tear gas bombs, and CJ threw one of them down the vent, hoping to incapacitate the security guards below. Down below, two security guards had caught on to the smoke and were slowly suffocating below.
"We won't know if that worked until we get down there!" CJ told Zero from above.
"Yeah, well, don't worry about it," Zero told him. "Right now we got a schedule to stick to! Head to the security door and use Millie's swipe card!"
Without another word, CJ exited the generator room and made a left turn.
"Okay, good," Zero stated as CJ made a left turn down the hallway. "I've hacked the emergency lighting protocols. I'm gong to blow all charges you placed at the dam. Here goes nothing." As CJ made it to the door leading to the service bay, the lights of the building suddenly shut off. "Wow!" Zero said. "I didn't think that was going to work."
"Man, I can't see jack!" CJ said as he used the swipe card to access through the door.
He put on the night vision goggles that Zero gave him earlier, giving him a green lighting vision, and continued making his way through the room inside.
"Head down to the service bay," Zero instructed.
Don't need to tell me twice, CJ thought.
He continued strolling down the hallway and finally made his way in the service bay. CJ looked around to find a bunch of crates and a garage door just up ahead.
"Okay, we've got the power down," Zero instructed, "which means the gate's unlocked. But now you're going to have to raise it yourself."
CJ had to take a second to think. How could he open the garage without any electric force? When he looked to his right, he saw a familiar figure inside a room by the wall. He then remembered the time he and Ryder broke into the warehouse of the Weekend Soldiers and CJ used a forklift to carry the boxes of weapons inside the truck.
CJ ran inside the room and headed to the forklift that was parked right against the wall. He hopped inside the forklift and rode it outside the room. As he moved forward to the garage, he used the forklift to raise the garage door just in time to spot the heist van backing up inside. The van came to a stop, and Woozie, his assistants, and the custodian exited the vehicle. There were also Triads on a couple of police motorbikes as well.
"Well done, Carl," Woozie congratulated. "Now it's time for us to do our part! Try to stay close! OK, team, I've gone over the layout to this place so I know it back to front. Everybody follow me!"
Woozie began to lead the way, but ran right into the wall in the process. "Damn!" he groaned. "The devious bastards have changed the layout!"
"Don't worry," Guppy told him. "I'll take the lead, boss."
"Good idea," Woozie replied. "Everybody follow him!"
So the team continued their route. CJ knew he and the team had about seven minutes to collect the cash and back. So they made their way out of the service bay and down the hallway.
Unfortunately, their heist was gradually impeded by a group of security guards, who came out to fire at the team.
"Take cover!" CJ shouted as the rest of the team dispersed around the hallways to duck the firing bullets.
Without hesitation, CJ pulled out his SMG and fired back at the security guards, killing them one by one. He ducked behind the vending machines and took out more guards as he and team penetrated through the hallways.
As CJ finally cleared the hallways, the rest of the team followed along. They proceeded to the vault room.
"Not far now, be alert!" Guppy announced.
"Hey, I was just about to say that," Woozie told him.
"Sorry boss!" Guppy apologized.
"Not far now, everybody," Woozie said as the team headed upstairs and made a left turn.
"Stay alert!" one of the assistants announced.
"Oh yeah, stay alert!" Wooize replied as he and the rest of the team walked all the way down the stairs and finally made it inside the vault room. "OK, we'll set the charges, while you watch the door," Woozie told CJ.
"Okay, boss!" Guppy said, helping Woozie do the job.
"Hey, I'm on it," CJ said, guarding the doorway.
"Hurry it up, gentlemen," Zero demanded impatiently through the earpiece. "They know something's wrong. Someone else is in the system."
"Ae, what's the problem?" CJ asked.
"Somebody's trying to bring the emergency generators back up!" Zero answered.
"Alright," CJ replied. "I'll head back up to the generator room and shut them down for good."
So CJ grabbed as many satchel charges inside the vault room and headed out of the doorway. He scaled the steps outside the hallway and made his way back into the generator room. He planted all of the satchel charges inside the generator room and quickly ran out.
As he finally made it back down to the vault room, he pressed the control button and blew the generator room upstairs up, destroying it completely.
Shortly afterwards, Woozie's assistants and Guppy planted some satchel charges on the safe door.
"Everybody take cover!" one of the assistants shouted as they all ran from the safe door. "Oh shit! Where do I go? Where do I go?"
"Fire in the hole!" the other shouted as the door exploded, thus opening it.
"OK people, load up the cash!" Woozie ordered his assistants, and the team went inside to collect the money.
"Carl," Zero warned CJ through the earpiece, "you've got mafia guerillas coming up the walls and... Curse you, Berkley, curse you!"
Just then, CJ spotted four Mafia henchmen rounding up in the vault room from trying to escape.
"Okay, then," CJ said, pulling out his SMG, "we're about to have some company."
So CJ killed the henchmen one by one and the rest of the team had just finished collecting the cash inside the safe.
"OK, team," Woozie announced, "just our way practice, two by two. Ow! Fuck! Scratch that. Everybody follow Carl."
So CJ led the team up the stairs and they came across more henchmen attempting to take them out. CJ used his SMG to take each of them out one by one as he led the rest of the team through the hallways.
There were many henchmen firing bullets at the team, and CJ continued defending them as he led them through the hallways by killing each and every last one of them.
By the time CJ killed the last henchman, he had finally led the team inside the service, bay, where they found Zero with two police bikes unloaded.
"I've unloaded the police bikes," he announced.
"Everybody in!" Woozie announced, guiding his assistants inside the van. "You two, change into your police uniforms!"
Two of the assistants put on the police uniforms that Zero provided for them and each hopped onto each of the two bikes. Woozie, Guppy, and the custodian hopped inside the van. Zero hopped inside the van with them, and they all drove away through the garage.
"OK, CJ, you're on your own now," Zero told CJ through the earpiece as CJ made it inside the hallways.
"Time to show these motherfuckers what's happening," CJ announced as he spotted more henchmen inside the hallways trying to take him down.
CJ didn't hesitate as he fired bullets at each and every one of them.
"Carl, would you like me to talk you the way to the roof?" Zero asked.
"Anything that helps, man!" CJ said as he continued to kill the remaining henchmen inside the hallway.
Just then, the lights suddenly switched back on. "Oh, what happened?" CJ asked.
"Damn you, Berkley, damn you!" Zero growled.
"Oh, come on, man, talk to me," CJ asked, trying to prepare for the next henchmen who tries to attack him.
"Okay," Zero instructed, "now head to the elevators through the casinos on the left side. Take the elevator all the way to the roof."
So as CJ located through the hallways, taking out the remaining henchmen inside, he followed Zero's instructions and took the directions the latter gave him. As he made it to the end of the hallway, he finally found the elevator straight ahead.
So CJ used the service elevator to get to the third floor, where he saw more henchmen trying to take him out. CJ just casually murdered them all and made his way upstairs. He finally made it to the top floor and to the door leading to the roof, only to find a police chopper hovering up above.
CJ paid it no mind and spotted a parachute on the roof. He ran to the parachute, grabbed it, and strapped it over his shoulders. Down below, he saw another helicopter resting onto a rooftop. So he leaped off the roof and activated the parachute, floating forward to the helicopter on the rooftop below.
As CJ landed onto the helipad, he entered the helicopter and started the engine. He ascended the helicopter and accelerated away, making his way to the desert. He paid no mind to the helicopter behind him and continued flying away, completely losing the police chopper.
CJ finally made it to the airfield at Verdant Meadows and parked the helicopter on the side. As he exited the vehicle, he saw the rest of the team waiting by the airstrip as well.
"Zero, where you hiding?" CJ demanded.
Zero had inadvertently bragged to Berkley about the heist, thus putting it to risk, and CJ was furious at him. Zero meekly hopped out from behind the back of the van.
"I didn't mean to tell Berkley," he protested. "It just kinda came out... is all."
CJ grabbed Zero by the shirt and attempted to thrash him in retaliation when Woozie came to intervene.
"Hey, CJ, calm down!" Woozie told him. "You better take me home, CJ!"
"Okay, Woozie," CJ said, and he released Zero. "My bad, Zee. I just sorta lost it."
"My apologies, Carl," Zero replied. "But now, we're all rich with loads of moolah! So you run along with your friends. Me, I'm gonna continue running my shop back in San Fierro, still on a lookout for Berkley and his men."
What a nerd, CJ thought. He decided to take Woozie back to the Four Dragons Casino and lead the team to the van while Zero went with the other team in another van on their way to San Fierro.
It was now midnight, and CJ was back into his hotel in a T-shirt and boxers, feeling satisfied of how his heist had turned out. Just then, he heard his cellphone ring.
"Sir!" CJ answered.
"You two-bit, backstabbing piece of eggplant shit!" Sal snapped suddenly through the phone.
"Salvatore!" CJ replied casually. "Nice to hear from you too."
"You're dead!" Sal snarled. "Your friends are dead, your family's dead, I'm gonna fuck you up, and your children, and your grandchildren!"
"Well, it's been nice talking to you," CJ responded nonchalantly, "but I got some money that needs spending on some expensive trash, so if you could excuse me..."
"You're dead!" Sal repeated angrily. "DEAD!"
CJ just casually hung up the phone and landed onto the bed. He quickly drifted to sleep as he lay thinking.
