Seeing the handful of knives hurling straight at him,

Luffy dodges it by taking a step to the right,

Which causes both of Buggy's floating hands to toss more knives at him,

Ripping off a piece of pavement, Luffy then holds it up like a shield causing the knives to bounce off harmlessly,

Luffy then hurls the piece of pavement with bullet like speed at Buggy's levitating head,

But Buggy's head barely dodges it,

Luffy leaps forth with a fist aiming at the levitating head,

A hovering stomach then rams into the back of Luffy's head, slamming him head first into the pavement,

"I must admit," Buggy comments as his head swivels around to look down at Luffy, "there's quite a bit of strength behind that scrawny body of yours."

Pushing his head off the pavement, Luffy looks up only to notice that he only nicks Buggy's forehead but no blood pours out,

"Anyway, final offer," Buggy continues as a hand floats above Luffy, "join my cre-"

"No you damn red nose." Luffy declares

Upon hearing "red nose", Buggy's floating hand throws a knife at Luffy,

Rolling out of the way, Luffy attempts to get up but another handful of knives is flying at him,

Without thinking, Luffy pushes with such force at the ground that he launches himself up into the air,

One of Buggy's knees then comes crashing into Luffy's stomach,

Falling backwards, Luffy stumbles to his feet, just in time to see more knives flying at him,

Quickly using his rubber power, Luffy contorts his body low to the ground, evading it, but his straw hat gets impaled by knives in his stead,

"OI!" Luffy shouts and stretches out his arms to grab the hat,

But the hand moves quickly and unpredictably, making it hard for Luffy to catch it,

Finally the hand makes its way next to Buggy's floating head,

"The hat means that much to you huh?" Buggy remarks as he pulls the hat off the knives to take a closer look, "Nothing extraordinary about it, but it does look famil-."

Luffy then impatiently rushes forth to get his precious hat back but he freezes mid-way,

"Let's not be hasty," Buggy says as he holds a knife against the straw hat, "for starters, where did you get this hat?"

"Give my hat back." Luffy replies

"After my questio-" Buggy stops mid-sentence as he spots someone moving in his peripheral vision,

Reflexively, Buggy throws a knife, taking attention away from Luffy,

Seizing this chance, Luffy stretches out his arm, grabs Buggy's head and slams it onto the pavement,

Immediately Buggy's floating hand flies to action at breakneck speed with a knife in its grip,

Luffy then lifts the head up and holds it in front of him like a shield,

However the hand did not slow down and it plunges the knife through the head and into Luffy's hand,

Recoiling from the pain, Luffy's lets go of Buggy's head,

The head then splits in half allowing the hand resumes flying at Luffy,

Catching it, Luffy uses one arm to throw it on the pavement and stretches out the other arm to try and grab the floating head,

Realising this, one of Buggy's hands rams a knife into Luffy's outstretched arm,

Pushing through the pain, Luffy manages to grab both halves of Buggy's head,

Mustering up all of his strength, Luffy then slams Buggy's head into the pavement, knocking the clown out cold,

As a confirmation, all of Buggy's floating body parts plummet onto the pavement,

Pulling out the knife in his arm, Luffy tries to look for the thing that distracted Buggy,

Thanks to the bright shining sun overhead, Luffy manages to spot someone familiar,

"HEY NAVIGATOR!" Luffy shouts
