Recognising the girl with orange hair standing among the rubble,

"HEY NAVIGATOR!" Luffy shouts trying to get her attention,

Strangely, the girl tries to creep away slowly,

"Hey!" Luffy shouts again taking a step towards her,

This time the girl sprints off in the other direction,

"Why are you running?" Luffy yells as he chases after her,

Despite carrying a hefty bag on her shoulder, she runs like the wind, but Luffy is faster, and he quickly closes the distance,

Seeing that she is within arm's reach, the girl attempts to lose Luffy by making sharp turns around corners, knocking over barrels and jump over various obstacles,

But thanks to brute force, Luffy punches his way through everything and manages to finally catches her,

With a simple yank, the girl falls backwards on her back,

"Wait wait wait," She immediately begs, "Let's talk about this."

"Ok?" Luffy agrees,

"You're after Buggy's loots right? I'll give you half ok?" The girl offers,

"What? No, I'm after you." Luffy responds,

Upon hearing his response, the colour drains from her face,

"Look, I know you're angry, but I let you out of your cage, so can you call it even and let me go?" The girl pleads,

"No." Luffy replies,

The girl's face grows even paler,

"wha?" She meekly answers,

"I want you to join my crew, you promised, remember?" Luffy says with a grin on his face,

"did he forget what i done to him?" She mutters under her breath,

"What'd you say?" Luffy asks,

"Just saying how glad I am to be a part of the crew." She interjects with a nervous laugh,

At that moment, a man with green hair carrying a boy wearing knightly armour walks around the corner, "There you are" The man says,

"There you are Zoro, what happened to Jaune, also how's your stab wound?" Luffy inquires,

"He got a beating, nothing too serious, and I can't feel the stab wounds so all's good." Zoro responds,

"Anyway, who's the girl?" Zoro asks pointing at the girl,

"Me? Oh, it's Emily." she replies,

"She's our navigator, now we can properly sail the sea." Luffy chimes in,

"Speaking of the sea, we need a new raft." Zoro claims,

"Did something happen to our raft?"

"After half the town got bombed, I doubt our raft survives."

"True," Luffy then gives it a quick think over, "Hey Emily, do you have a raft?"

"Uh, yeah, it's at the dock"

"Cool, we'll use that then." Luffy excitedly declares before rushing off, leaving the others behind to catch up,

Emily pushes herself off the ground and checks her bag, making sure nothing has fallen out,

"Say, didn't I see you with Buggy?" Zoro recalls,

"Well, yes," She nervously replies, "But I saw how cruel my captain can be and I simply can't stomach it anymore."

"Uh huh," Zoro muses, "Do whatever you want, just don't touch my sword." He threatens before walking off with Jaune's slump body on his shoulders,

"what have I gotten into?" She mutters, "well at least I got an idiot on my side."

"OI! WHERE'S THE RAFT?!" Luffy shouts

"Coming captain!" She obediently answers

After some time passed, Jaune wakes up from his beating,

"Wiat, wehe ar we?" He slurs,

"Th- s-a." A blob of moss says,

"waht?" Jaune slurs again before lightly slapping his face and forces himself to focus, "What's going on?"

"We're adventuring to a new island." Luffy answers with pure excitement in his voice,

"Ah ok," Jaune replies until a memory resurfaces, "Hold on, how's the mayor?"

Realisation then dawns on Luffy and Zoro,

To which the only response they can give is, "uuuhhhhh"

Until Emily speaks up, "The mayor? He was the old man that got stabbed right?"

"Yeah, how is he?" Jaune asks immediately,

"Last I saw of him, his wounds stop bleeding after I tended to him." She says as she tries to remember anything else, "He also said something about gathering villagers to get revenge or something, since we beat up Buggy and his men, so all is well I guess."

"Oh thank you, I thought he was dead, at least he isn't." Jaune states happily, "Anyway, where we sailing to?"

"A nearby island" Emily announces,

"Anything else?" Luffy asks because of the lackluster information,

"That's all I know about it."

"Hm," Luffy ponders for a moment before announcing, "Onward! To the island! Let's find One Piece!"

At the mention of One Piece, for the briefest of moments, disgust flickers across Emily's face.
