As the morning sun shined through her room, she sat up looked to her side, and found Ronaldo sleeping soundly, she smiled as she kissed him on his cheek, she then turned to the side of the bed and stretched and scratched her stomach as she struggled to get up she headed toward the bathroom, but not before grabbing her ring. She smiled as she stared at her hand, it was her routine for her to look at it every morning, since Christmas. As she entered her bathroom she found Bebé, wearing Loki's shirt, brushing her teeth.
"Morning sis, how are you feeling?" She asked as Linka starts to brush her teeth.
"Heavy." She said.
"Well next time don't use our stuff without asking us first." She joked
"Oh, would you let that go?" Linka insisted.
"Can't, too funny." the two then spat into the sink.
"So what's the plan for today?"
"Well, Mrs. Santiago said that the baby is going to be born soon, so she wants me to stay close by just in case." She answers, Bebe smirked.
"Yeah, that would be best, not knowing when the little one might pop out."
"Uh I don't want to think about that right now, but all in all I'm pretty excited."
"Really? I figured you two would be freaking out." Bebé admitted.
"At first, but I have Ronnie with me and our families supporting us." She said looking at the ring on her hand.
"God you are just too cute," Bebé said, causing the two to chuckle. "So any ideas for names yet?" She added making Linka ponder for a bit.
"Hmm, I haven't been thinking about it, I've been busy with school work that I haven't put much thought into it." She admitted.
"Well, we have some ideas if you want to discuss it." She said
"Well, I guess… wait "we"?" She asked and Bebé smiled
-Later-
The spring air wafted through the city, as Linka was relaxing on a park bench with Ronaldo as he read something on his phone, rubbing her very large belly with one hand and keeping her other hand intertwined with Ronaldo's
"Ah such a nice day isn't it, the weather's nice and I'm with you and our baby will be born soon," Linka said
"Yep." was all Ronaldo replied as she kept scrolling. Linka pouted as she looked at him.
"You know, it's so nice that I might just go streaking." She said
"Yeah cool." He said not looking from his phone. Linka then snatched it away.
"Would you pay attention, what are you looking at anyway?" She asked, peaking at the screen and seeing a list of baby names.
"Ronnie, you were picking out names without me?" She asked
"Kinda, I was pretty much trying to figure out what names to go over with you, we haven't discussed it." He said
"Huh that is true, with everything going on I guess we didn't think about it as much." She admitted.
"Well, it's way better than what everyone else was suggesting." He said
"And what was that?"
"Abuela wanted to name the kid Ernesto if a boy or Maria if a girl. Abuelo wanted to name them after his favorite soccer team." Linka then started to giggle.
"Man they can be so much." She added rubbing her stomach. Ronnie then cleared his throat.
"You know I was thinking that…"
"Oh…" Linka moaned as she clutched her stomach.
"Linka what's wrong?" He asked
"Nothing, just…" She started to groan more and soon felt wetness.
"Uh, Ronnie… my water broke!" Linka groaned as Ronaldo started to panic.
"Wha already, but you were not due for another week!" he said
"Well, then the baby is coming now!" She gripped holding her stomach.
"Ok, I'll call mom, do you think you can move?" He asked
"What do you think?" She asked.
"I know you're in pain, but I can deal without the sarcasm." He said as he finally connected to his mom.
"Ronaldo, what's wrong?" She asked
"Mom, Linka has gone into labor!"He said
"What, I thought we agreed that she stays close by to the bodega!" Maria scolded
"She wanted to get some fresh air and were across the street." He said
"Okay, just stay there, I'm sending an ambulance." She ordered.
"Okay." He then hung up. And went to Linka and held her hand.
"It's okay. Just breathe Linka, help is on the way." He said.
"Thanks for that." She said
"Oh no, I'm saying that for me." He said with panic.
"Wow, thanks for being confident for me." She hissed in pain again.
"Right, sorry, this is the first time I've had a baby." He said
"Oh, are you pushing it out!" She gripped. She soon groaned and clutched her stomach again.
"You know, just because you're in pain doesn't mean you have to be rude." He griped just then they heard a siren and saw the ambulance.
"About time," Linka said as paramedics came.
-In Royal Woods-
The Loud boys were in the living room watching tv while Lynn Sr. was in the kitchen making lunch when he heard the phone ring.
"Loud residence." He answered "Uh-huh… right… Oh is that right well thank you for telling me." Lynn then hung up the phone and started to panic
"Everyone in the van, Linka's having the baby!" He yelled to all the brothers and parents then scrambled around as they shoved each other to get out of the house and into the van, driving off in a hurry.
-At The Hospital-
Linka was being wheeled into an operating room, while Ronaldo was trying to stay close.
"Come on Lame-o, you got this," Ronaldo said
"Oh shut up, you're lucky that I'm not choking you!" She yelled.
"That's just pain, Linka." He insinuated
"I will mount your head on a fucking pike!" Ronaldo then backed away.
"Uh, why don't I get you some water." He said backing away he soon reached vending as he was about to select something his nerves finally kicked in.
"Oh god it's happening, I figured I'd be more ready for this, maybe we're moving too fast on this… I can't be a father at this age… I love linka but what if I'm not cut out for this…" Ronaldo said out loud letting his mind race just then he felt a hand on his shoulder, he looked back and saw Loki
"Loki… I was…" Loki then placed his hand on his shoulder.
"I get it you're scared, I would be too but right now, Linka needs you."
"You just want her to break something, don't you?" Ronald asked
"Oh most definitely." He admitted with a smile. He then pushed and the water bottle fell out.
"Go man, before everyone gets here." Ronaldo took the bottle and headed toward Linka's room as he walked in he was given a mask hair net. He then saw Linka her hair a mess, legs raised, and breathing heavily.
"Hey got that water." He said, as he walked over and poured the liquid in her mouth.
"Ronnie, whatever happens, I want you to know that this is the best moment of my life." She said with a weak smile. Ronaldo then pats her head and grabs her hand, just then she squeezes it hard, nearly making the boy scream as she felt another contraction.
"I'm going to kill you for putting me through this!" Linka screamed. Just then Maria walked in.
"Hey how's the mommy?" She asked
"I'm going to kill your bastard!" Linka yelled
"Yep she is doing fine. Alright shall we get started?"
