"LYYYYN!" Motoyasu yelled from behind the wall. Lyn looked at him and then at the army behind him.
"MoTOyAsUUuUuUUuUUU! Da fak u want?!"
"RETURN THE SECOND PRINCESS AND REN YOU BASTARD!" he yelled.
"WHAT?!" Lyn replied, [Gengar Shield] in hand.
"RETURN THE SE-!"
"WHAT?!"
"RE-!"
"WHAT?
"LYN I SWEAR TO GO-!"
"WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THIS PROPERTY DAMAGE!"
Motoyasu scowled and scrolled through his spear list until he found the [Gengar Spear], and pointed it towards Lyn.
"LYN! RETURN THE PRINCESS AND THE GIRLS YOU BRAINWASHED," Motoyasu howlered into his spear.
"YOU'LL GET YOUR PRINCESS WHEN YOU FIX THE DAMN WALL!"
"NO! BESIDES, YOUR F*CKING PLANTS REGENERATE ANYWAYS! THAT GIANT MIDDLE FINGER IN THE CAPITAL IS STILL THERE DAMN IT! YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT!"
"I DON'T NEED TO REMOVE SH*T! BESIDES, IT'S YOUR FAULT I HAVE THESE IN THE FIRST PLACE!"
Motoyasu took a step back and looked at the plant.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!"
"REMEMBER THE QUOTE ON QUOTE MIRACLE SEED YOU GAVE TO THAT ONE VILLAGE?! IT MUTATED LIKE 5 TIMES AND ATE HALF THE VILLAGERS! SO I HARVESTED THE DAMN WEED AND NOW I HAVE PLANT WALLS!"
"BULLSH*T! THAT SEED WOULDN'T MUTATE! IT J-!"
"WHY THE F*CK NOT?!" Lyn yelled, sitting down on his wall.
"IT'S A MIRACLE SEED FROM EMERALD ONLINE. GIVING IT TO THE VILLAGE IS HOW YOU CLEAR THE FAMINE QUEST!"
"THIS AIN'T EMERALD ONLINE YOU MORON! IT'S JUST A WORLD BUILT ON GAME MECHANICS, NOT A GAME! ALL PEOPLE ARE REAL PEOPLE, NOT NPCS!"
"Sir Motoyasu, you shouldn't listen to the devil of the shield. His words are how he brainwashes people."
"Got it. LYN! COME DOWN AND HAND OVER THE PRINCESS. ALSO THE BOSS MATERIALS! AND GET RID OF THE PLANT IN THE CAPITAL!"
"COME UP HERE AND MAKE ME, D*CK SPEAR! OR DEMON GARDNER AS THAT VILLAGE CALLS YOU!"
"NOBODY CALLS ME THAT!"
"WHY NOT GO THERE SOLO AND FIND OUT?!"
"MAYBE I WILL! NOW GET DOWN HERE!"
"NO! MAKE ME!"
"GET OFF OF THE PLANT WALL!"
"NO! I HAVE A PLANT WALL AND YOU DON'T!"
"FINE! YOU WANT ME TO GET YOU DOWN?! I WILL! [METEORITE SPEAR]!"
Motoyasu sent a bright glowing spear at Lyn's head, but it just bounced off like a toothpick and fell to the floor.
"WAS THAT YOU PLAN?! THROW A STICK AT ME?!"
"I GOT MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM! [RAILGUN]!"
A bright blue beam hit Lyn in the head, but as it disappeared, it revealed an unharmed Lyn. He raised an eyebrow and looked at his status.
"THAT IT?!"
"Uh…"
Motoyasu scrolled through his skill list, but didn't find anything stronger.
"What are you waiting around for?! Fire!" Malty yelled at the knights, who were just watching the spear hero and shield demon yell at each other. Some hesitated for a second, but others raised their bows and began firing flaming arrows.
"[Airstrike shield], all," Lyn muttered and summoned several dozen glowing shields, blocking all the arrows from going over his wall. The arrows hit the skill with a loud *clang*, and fell to the ground.
Ren showed up on the wall, panting and covered in grass.
"I was gone for five minutes, what the hell happened to you?"
"You didn't add a staircase, so I used a rope sword. But the branch broke, and I fell, and tried again, and fell again. Overall, add a staircase or something," Ren replied, brushing off the dirt.
"REN! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE ALRIGHT!"
"OF COURSE I'M ALRIGHT! WHY WOULDN'T I BE?" Ren yelled through his megaphone. Itsuki joined them on the plant wall but was forced to cover his ears cause of all the screaming.
"Where did you guys get those weapon forms?" he asked, pointing to the megaphone.
"A dark cave with the seed Motoyasu went to," Lyn replied.
"Lyn," Ren said, pointing to the hero.
"Can I have the materials for it?"
Lyn reached into his shield and tossed Itsuki a bat wing, which the bow hero quickly absorbed and equipped the new weapon form.
"ITSUKI! DON'T GET TOO CLOSE TO LYN OR HE MIGHT BRAINWASH YOU!" Motoyasu yelled from the ground. Some of the knights began to move away from the hero to avoid hearing loss.
"I DUNNO! I'VE BEEN TALKING TO HIM FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND I FEEL FINE!" Itsuki yelled back. Motoyasu looked at him in confusion
"Screw this. I'ma portal us out. You go and try to talk sense into the bonehead over there. Ren, you coming?"
"Yeah. Wanna try to grind the other spot? I have a teleport nearby," Ren replied, transforming his sword.
"Did you upgrade the skill enough? We have quite a lot of people. Ren paused for a moment.
"Shoot. I only got it to IX. I can transfer 11 people, myself included."
"Damn it. I'll stay behind and meet up with you later. Everyone, get your stuff and let's go," Lyn yelled, summoning a dome above the wall to replace the floating shields.
"But what about Firo's carriage?" Firo asked.
"I'll carry it over. I have way more than enough points in strength."
"Sword hero, wait!" Melty yelled, walking over to the two with a map in hand.
"What's up blueberry?"
"It's Melty! And the area you are going too is too close to the border. It will get swarmed with knights in no time."
"Shoot, you got anything else?" Lyn turned to Ren. Melty rolled her eyes.
"Do you have a teleport anywhere around here?" Melty asked Ren, pointing to the map. Ren looked over and pointed just a bit left of it.
"I have one here. It had some decent weapons and a dungeon nearby. Didn't think I'd use it though."
"What about that area makes it special?" Lyn asked Melty, taking the map from her and resummoning several [Airstrike Shields] to replace the fallen dome.
"A noble lives there that could hide us while the bow hero tries to talk to the spear hero."
"And how do we know he won't give us up to the kingdom? For all I know, he's working with the church."
"He shares the views of the man whom my mother considered her right hand."
"Who was….?"
"He ruled over the Seatto region, but unfortunately died during the first wave."
"First wave… hey Raphtalia! Do you know anything about this?"
"My village Lurora was in the Seatto region. It was known for being populated by demi-humans."
*CRACK*
Lyn looked up and saw Mototasu standing on top of one of the shields, stabbing his spear into it repeatedly and firing off skills one by one.
"Alright, you teleport over and head to the guy. I'll grab the carriages and catch up later," Lyn instructed, tossing the map over to Ren.
"Are you sure you're going to be ok on your own?"
"I hold the symbol of defense as my weapon. I think I'll be fine," Lyn replied, tossing the remaining stuff in his shield.
"But Sky wants to stay with you," Sky protested, walking towards Lyn.
"Nope, I need you to keep an eye on Firo and Kayda to make sure they don't start a civil war."
Sky sighed and nodded.
*CRACK*
"Everyone ready?," Ren asked, raising his sword. "Alright then. [Transport Sword]!"
In a flash of light everyone other than Lyn disappeared. He sighed and grabbed the carriages as the plant wall began to shift.
Just as Motoyasu broke through the skill, Lyn ran out through the back, covering the carriages with [Area Control X].
"HEY! COME BACK AND FACE ME COWARD!" Motoyasu yelled, running after him.
"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN! [LIBERATION AURA X]!"
"After him! Don't let the devil escape!" Myne yelled to the soldiers. They climbed on top of their horses, filolials and dragons and gave chase, led by Motoyasu and Myne. Itsuki followed them from behind on a random horse he grabbed from a soldier.
Motoyasu launched skill after skill to try to slow Lyn down, but all of the skills simply bounced off of him.
"Damn it. How did he get so strong?!" Motoyasu grumbled.
"It must be the devil's power. That's the only thing that would allow him to get more power than you," Myne replied.
"Hey Motoyasu!" Itsuki yelled, running up to the spear hero on his horse.
"Itsuki! I'm glad you're alright. What were you doing with Lyn?"
"I was asking him about his power and Melty. And he said a few interesting things," Itsuki replied, looking at his status. "Apparently he can share weapon forms with any hero if he wants too, without materials."
"What? How?"
"Not sure, Ren didn't explain. Also, he said that he was as strong as he is because apparently upgrade methods can be shared between heroes."
"What? Don't we all have four methods from the get go?" Motoyasu asked, looking at his status.
"What are your methods? Mine are Ore Equip, Job Level, Rarity Power and Item Enchant."
Motoyasu looked at Itsuki in confusion and looked at his methods.
"Mine are Smelting, Weapon Mastery, Status Enchant and Soul Enchant. What the hell is Rarity Power?"
"How does smelting work?" Itsuki asked, ignoring Motoyasus question. Motoyasu raised his eyebrow and sighed.
"You can use certain ores on certain weapon forms to upgrade their stats. The smelting method has a chance to fail, but it doesn't have a cap," he explained. Itsuki opened up his status manual and scrolled through, but he didn't find smelting anywhere.
Motoyasu looked back up and saw that Lyn almost disappeared from view. He cursed under his breath and stood up on his mount, raising his spear above his head.
"[Aiming Lance]!" he yelled, sending a glowing spear in Lyn's direction. It homed in on him and began speeding up as it got closer.
He's persistent as hell. That's kinda impressive. Lyn thought to himself.
*Clang*
Too bad it's not a power up method.
The spear shattered as it hit him in the back, and Lyn continued running as if it wasn't there. A few minutes of chasing later, Lyn was completely out of view.
"Damn it!" Motoyasu yelled, hitting the ground with his spear out of frustration.
How? Just how did Lyn get such a strong shield? Even the strongest shields in Emerald Online wouldn't be able to tank that!
"Motoyasu," Itsuki called out to his fellow hero. Motoyasu looked up at him.
"Could we talk? In private?"
When Lyn was sure he was far enough away, he turned off his skills and sat down on the ground.
"Alright, now I gotta drag these carriages all the way to the other side of the country," he muttered, pulling out a drink from his shield.
G: Shield Hero.
L: Sup G. How are y'all?
G: The sword hero teleported us over without any problems. At least he can do that much. We're on our way to the lord's place, and we should get there in about a day.
L: That's good to hear. I should get there in like 3 days.
G: Why not teleport with us?
L: I could, but then Filo and Sky will be angry I didn't take their carriages with me.
G: Hah, Filolials and their carriages.
L: Dragons and their caves.
G: Touche.
L: Hah, anyways, tell me when you guys arrive.
G: Alright.
Lyn equipped the [Rope Shield] and used its effect to grab onto the carriages. Then he put it on his back as he took out a map to search where he needed to go.
When Lyn was sure he was far enough away, he turned off his skills and sat down on the ground, cracking open a bottle of red bull.
"Alright, now I gotta drag these carriages all the way to the other side of the country," he muttered, pulling out a drink from his shield.
Gaelion: Shield Hero.
Lyn: Sup G. How are y'all?
Gaelion: The sword hero teleported us over without any problems. At least he can do that much. We're on our way to the lord's place, and we should get there in about a day.
Lyn: That's good to hear. I should get there in like 3 days if I run.
Gaelion: …What.
Lyn:...What can I say, it's the power of Red Bull.
Gaelion: Red what now?
Lyn: ..How could You?! HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THE POWER OF RED BULL?! IT'S EVERY GAMER'S LIFE! I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW I GOT ISEKAIED DUE TO DYING BY DRINKING TOO MANY RED BULL'S!
Gaelion:What the hell are you talking about?
Lyn: Fired.
Gaelion: What?
Lyn: YOU'RE FIRED! I DON'T WANT YOU IN MY PARTY! OUT!
Gaelion: Bu-

Lyn: To think he has the balls to insult our god… I swear, if he insults Lord Gabe next, I'm gonna kick his ass.
Meanwhile
Wyndia: "What's wrong, dad?"
Gaelion: "SWORD HERO!"
Ren: "Y-Yes?"
Gaelion: "What is this 'Red Bull'?! And why are you humans so weird?!"
Ren: "U-Ummm.."
Gaelion: "ANSWER THE QUESTION OR I'LL BITE YOUR HEAD OFF!"
