"Nooroo! Dark Wings Fall!" said Hawkmoth
Hawkmoth detransformed into Gabriel Agreste, his latest akuma had failed once again. Gabriel took the elevator back to his atelier. As he sat down at his desk, Nathalie walked in.
"Mr Agreste, you have a visitor" said Nathalie
"I'm busy right now" said Gabriel
"You may want to see them right now, it seems very important" said Nathalie
"Ugh, very well, send them in" said Gabriel
Nathalie nodded and allowed Officer Roger Raincomprix into the atelier.
"Officer Raincomprix, what can I do for you?" asked Gabriel
"I'm sorry, Mr Agreste, I've come to deliver some bad news" said Roger
"What is it?" asked Gabriel
"It's about your wife" said Roger
Gabriel faked worry.
"Emilie? What about her? Is she alright?" asked Gabriel
"I'm sorry, Mr Agreste, but since it's been a few years since she disappeared, and with no leads on her whereabouts, I'm afraid her disappearance has been labelled a cold case" said Roger
Gabriel fell back into his chair.
"Emilie..." said Gabriel
"I do apologize, Mr Agreste, it's not my decision, I just thought you should know" said Roger
"Well, thank you for letting me know, officer" said Gabriel
Roger only nodded his head before leaving. Nathalie walked up to Gabriel's desk.
"It's no surprise they have no leads" said Nathalie
"No, it isn't, and it needs to stay that way" said Gabriel
"Of course, sir, by the way, Adrien should be home from his fencing class soon" said Nathalie
"Alright" said Gabriel
Nathalie turned to leave when Gabriel spoke up.
"Nathalie, before you go..." said Gabriel
Gabriel took out a note pad and wrote something down, before tearing out the page and handing it to Nathalie.
"I need you to go to this address and pick something up for me" said Gabriel
Nathalie checked the address, 12 Rue Gotlib.
"What do you need me to get?" asked Nathalie
"Just say it's an order for 'Gabe', they'll understand" said Gabriel
"Of course, sir" said Nathalie
Nathalie left to run the errand just as Adrien entered his father's office.
"Adrien? Nathalie said you were just on your way back home" said Gabriel
"There was no traffic" said Adrien
Adrien saw the sad look on his father's face.
"Father, are you alright, you seem down" said Adrien
"It's the whole thing with your mother, today would have been our anniversary, and Officer Raincomprix just arrived with some sad news" said Gabriel
"Oh no, what was it?" asked Adrien
"He said that Emilie's disappearance has been labeled a cold case, they've given up trying to find her" said Gabriel
"Aw man, so now what?" asked Adrien
"I don't know, Adrien, but I know we'll see her again, someday" said Gabriel
"So do I, father" said Adrien
Gabriel smiled at his son and turned to the big painting of Emilie behind him.
"Just as beautiful as when we first met" said Gabriel
"How did you and mom actually meet?" asked Adrien
"I never told you?" asked Gabriel
"No, never" said Adrien
"Sit down, Adrien, I'll tell you about how me and your mother met" said Gabriel
==Flashback==
At Francois Dupont High School, a 15 year old Gabriel Agreste was curled up into a ball as 2 students pelted him with rotten fruit.
"Aw, what's wrong? You gonna cry?" asked one of the bullies
"ALRIGHT! THAT'S ENOUGH!" said someone
Gabriel looked to see a blonde haired girl marching towards the bullies.
"You two need to stop picking on this guy and get a life" said the girl
"Pfft, whatever, come one Andre" said one of the bullies
"Alright, Robert" said Andre
Robert and Andre walked away as the girl approached Gabriel.
"Are you okay?" asked the girl, holding out her hand to help Gabriel up
Gabriel took her hand and got to his feet.
"I'm fine, thank you, no one's ever helped me like that before" said Gabriel
"It was nothing, I just can't stand people bullying others like that, I'm Emilie, by the way, Emilie Graham de Vanily" said the girl
"It must take forever to sign your name" joked Gabriel
Emilie let out a small chuckle, making Gabriel smile.
"I have a stamp for that" joked Emilie
"Haha, oh, I'm Gabriel Agreste" said Gabriel
"Nice to meet you, Gabriel Agreste" said Emilie, before walking to her class
"She's the most beautiful girl I have ever seen" thought Gabriel
Later that day, during lunch break, Gabriel was in the art room working on some designs when he heard the door creak open, he looked to see Emilie entering.
"Oh, hey, Gabriel, right?" asked Emilie
"Yes, what are you doing here, if you don't mind me asking?" asked Gabriel
"I couldn't stand listening to that Audrey girl complaining about how nothing was to her standards, so I came here to get some quiet, why are you here?" asked Emilie
"I like to come here to draw at times, helps me escape from everything" said Gabriel
"Oh, what are you drawing?" asked Emilie, walking towards the desk
"Uh, you don't have to..." said Gabriel
But it was too late, Emilie saw the dresses he had sketched.
"Are these dresses?" asked Emilie
"Ugh, yeah, I want to be a fashion designer, but I don't tell anyone because I know they'd think of me as a freak...even more so than they already do" said Gabriel
"Well, I don't think you're a freak, if you want to be a fashion designer, I say, go for it, plus, these designs are nice, I'd wear these" said Emilie
"Th-thank you...so, what do you want to be?" asked Gabriel
"I want to be an actress" said Emilie
"Ambitious, but I think you can do it" said Gabriel
Emilie smiled at Gabriel's words, and Gabriel blushed when Emilie pulled him into a hug.
"Thank you, Gabriel" said Emilie
Over the next few weeks, Emilie and Gabriel would spend time together around the school and developed a good friendship. One day, Emilie walked into the art room and saw
Robert pinning Gabriel to the floor while Andre and Audrey looked on.
"HEY, GET OFF OF HIM!" screamed Emilie
"I don't think so, this freak is getting exactly what he deserves" said Audrey
Emilie was having none of that and balled her hand into a fist before punching Robert directly in the jaw.
"OW!"
Emilie helped Gabriel back to his feet and turned to the bullies with an angry look in her eyes.
"I have had enough of you picking on Gabriel, from now on, I don't even want to see you saying a mean word about him or else" said Emilie
"Or else what?" asked Andre
"Or else you deal with him..." said Emilie, pointing to the door to the art room when a large teenager entered.
"Thomas? What are you doing here?" asked Robert, a little panicked
"I came because Emilie wanted to introduce me to her friend, but I have no problem taking care of a couple pests" said Thomas
Robert, Andre and Audrey said nothing as they left the room. Emilie picked up Gabriel's design book from the floor, seeing the pages ripped out and drawn over.
"Aw man, my designs are ruined" said Gabriel
"It's alright, I'm sure you can come up with more" said Emilie
"I've been working on those designs since my first day here" said Gabriel
"I'm sorry about your designs" said Thomas
"Uh, and you are?" asked Gabriel
"Gabriel, this is Thomas, I met him a few days ago and thought you two would get along" said Emilie
"Nice to meet you, Gabe" said Thomas, holding out his hand
Gabriel shook Thomas' hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Thomas" said Gabriel
Gabriel, Emilie and Thomas hung out for the rest of the lunch break. Eventually, the next class had to start, Thomas left to head to his own classroom when Gabriel told Emilie
he had something to ask her.
"What is it?" asked Emilie
"Well, I got 2 tickets to the premier of this new film next week and I was wondering if you'd like to join me" said Gabriel
"Gabriel Agreste, are you asking me on a date?" asked Emilie
"Uh...maybe" said Gabriel, blushing
Emilie giggled, before kissing Gabriel on the cheek.
"I'd love to" said Emilie, before walking out of the room
Gabriel stood there in awe for a few moments before heading to his next class.
Things were pretty quiet over the next week. Gabriel no longer got bullied, Robert didn't even pay any attention to Gabriel after he started dating a girl called 'Marie'. The day of the movie, Gabriel walked up to Emilie's front door and knocked. Emilie answered the door.
"Hello, Emilie, are you ready to go?" asked Gabriel
"Wrong girl, lover boy" said the girl
"Huh?" asked Gabriel
"Emilie's getting ready, I'm her sister, Amelie" said the girl
"Oh, nice to meet you, sorry, Emilie has mentioned she has a sister, but she never said you were twins" said Gabriel
"Yeah, she always forgets that part" said Amelie
"Oh, Gabriel, you're here" said Emilie, as she walked to the door
"Hello, Emilie, you look lovely" said Gabriel
"Aw, thanks, so, should we get going?" asked Emilie
"Of course" said Gabriel
"See you later, Amelie" said Emilie, giving her sister a hug
"You too, Emilie, nice meeting you, Gabe" said Amelie
"You too" said Gabriel
Emilie and Gabriel went to see the movie on what was one of the happiest days of Gabriel's life.

"That was your mother and I's first date" said Gabriel
"You never told me you were so awkward around mom" said Adrien
"I had never met anyone like her before, and I haven't since, your mother is one of a kind" said Gabriel
Adrien smiled at his father's words.
"Wherever she is, I hope she's okay" said Adrien
"I believe she's fine, now, get to your room, your mandarin teacher should be arriving shortly" said Gabriel
Adrien left the room as Nathalie walked in with a bag, which she set on Gabriel's desk.
"Thank you, Nathalie" said Gabriel
"No problem, sir" said Nathalie
When Nathalie left, Gabriel took the bag and headed to the repository and walked up to Emilie's cryogenic pod, where a small table and chair had been set up. Gabriel sat in the chair and set the bag on the table, before taking out the box inside. Gabriel opened the box and took out a macaron, before turning his gaze to his comatose wife.
"Happy anniversary, Emilie" said Gabriel, with a tear falling from his eye, before taking a bite of the macaron.
