In Miss Bustier's class were packing their bags to leave, before Miss Bustier remembered a homework assignment.
"Now students, before you go, you are all tasked with writing a report on a royal historical figure, and Kim, despite his name, King Kong is not royalty" said Miss Bustier
"Aw" said Kim
Miss Bustier picked up a clipboard.
"You will be doing the report in pairs, so, Nino, you're with Nathaniel, Sabrina, you're with Alix, Kim, you're with Max..." said Miss Bustier
Marinette could feel the butterflies in her stomach as Miss Bustier paired up the rest of the class, she didn't know if she wanted Miss Bustier to pair her up with Adrien or not.
"...Adrien, you're with Alya and Marinette, you're with Zach, okay, that is all, have a good weekend" said Miss Bustier
The class stepped out of the room and Alya whispered into Marinette's ear.
"Marinette, this is great, I can go to Adrien's place and try to find out what he likes, I can also try to talk you up to him"
"Really, Alya? You'd do that for me?" asked Marinette
"Of course, what are BFFs for?" asked Alya
Marinette pulled Alya in for a hug before Alya walked over to Adrien.
"Hey, Adrien, you think we could get some work done on the project today, I'm going to be busy tomorrow" said Alya
"No problem" said Adrien, just before his phone started to ring
Adrien checked the caller ID and saw that it was his photographer, Vincent.
"Hi, Vincent" said Adrien
"Ah, Adrien, how are you doing?" asked Vincent
"I'm doing fine, Vincent, what did you want to talk about?"
"Could you let your papa know I have printed your latest shots? I'll drop them off at the mansion later"
"Sure, no problem, Vincent" said Adrien
"Grazie, Adrien" said Vincent, before hanging up
Adrien and Alya left the school together and got in the limo to Adrien's home. Marinette walked up to Zach.
"Hey, Zach, I wanted to ask you about the project..." said Marinette
"Sorry, Marinette, I'm pretty busy today, but I'm free tomorrow, we can work on it then" said Zach
"Oh, okay, no problem" said Marinette
Zach stepped out of the school and went over to the car that was picking him up when it started raining.
"Oh no, why today?"
Zach and Marinette both looked to see Chloe.
"What's wrong Chloe? Don't like the rain?" asked Zach
"I hate the rain, I always worry it'll ruin my hair" said Chloe
"Oh, don't worry, that colour won't come out just because you got caught in the rain" said Zach
Zach stepped in the car before it drove off.
==Meanwhile==
Adrien and Alya arrived at the mansion and stepped in, where his dad was coming down the stairs.
"Adrien, you didn't tell me you were bringing company" said Gabriel
"Oh, sorry dad, this is Alya Cesaire, she's the creator of the Ladyblog, she's here because we were assigned to work on a project together for class" said Adrien
"The Ladyblog?" asked Gabriel
"Yeah, the Ladyblog is this blog she does about..." said Adrien, before Gabriel interrupted him
"Ladybug and Cat Noir, yes, I am familiar, it's a very good read, Miss Cesaire, now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do" said Gabriel
"Thank you, Mr Agreste" said Alya
"Wait, dad, you read the Ladyblog?" asked Adrien
"Every chance I get" said Gabriel, before walking over to his atelier.
"Oh, dad, before I forget..." said Adrien
"What is it? This better be important" said Gabriel
"Uh, Vincent asked me to tell you that he'll be over later with the photos from my last shoot" said Adrien
"Okay, thank you, Adrien" said Gabriel, before entering his atelier.
"That was kinda weird" said Adrien
"Yeah, I can't believe your dad reads the Ladyblog" said Alya
==Later==
"Vincent, these photos are unusable, I thought you were the best photographer there was, and now you take pictures like these? If this is the best you can do, then you have no place working for the Gabriel Brand, Vincent, you're fired!" said Gabriel
"What? You are making a big mistake, Agreste, no one else in the world has my vision" said Vincent, before storming out
==Meanwhile==
Alya and Adrien were studying in Adrien's room, they had decided to their report on King Louis XIV. After some time, Alya felt her stomach growling.
"Hungry?" asked Adrien
"A little, you got any chips?" asked Alya
"I think there's some in the kitchen, I'll go check" said Adrien
Adrien left while Alya continued studying. Alya dropped her pen on the floor and reached down to pick it up. When she did, she noticed a red notebook under the bed with 'Ladybug' written on the cover, Alya's interest got the better of her and she picked it up and looked inside, it was a scrapbook about Ladybug.
"Wow, Adrien must be a BIG Ladybug fan" thought Alya
Alya kept flicking through the pages when one page caught her attention.
Marinette = Ladybug?
Alya was caught off guard.
"What? Marinette couldn't possibly be Ladybug, could she?" thought Alya
Alya read through the page.
Marinette has never been akumatized.
Marinette wears earrings similar to Ladybug.
Marinette and Ladybug have never been seen together.
Ladybug always seems to turn up quickly to places where Marinette was.
Alya could feel her heart beating faster the more she read, it was seeming to get more and more possible that Marinette was Ladybug. Alya heard the door and quickly put the book into her backpack as Adrien entered with a bowl of chips and some dips.
"Okay, hope you like sour cream and onion flavor" said Adrien
"Y-yeah, I love sour cream and onion" said Alya
"Are you okay?" asked Adrien
"Um, yeah, I'm...I'm fine" said Alya
Adrien raised a brow, but he figured if something was wrong then Alya would say so. The two continued to snack and study.
"Got anything to drink?" asked Alya
Adrien opened up a secret panel on the bookshelf next to his bed to reveal a mini fridge with several cans of soda inside.
"Sweet, thanks" said Alya, grabbing a can
Alya did a double take when she saw something else in the mini fridge.
"Uh, why is there a plate of Camembert in there?" asked Alya
"Uh, I get weird cravings late at night" said Adrien
"Huh, no wonder you tend to stink like the stuff" said Alya, closing the mini fridge
==Hawkmoth's Lair==
Gabriel entered the lair and removed his tie. Nooroo floated infront of him.
"Master is this the reason you fired Vincent?" asked Nooroo
"Of course Nooroo, I believe he could be the most powerful villain yet" said Gabriel
"But he'd be coming for you" said Nooroo
"No matter, he'll attract the attention of those heroes, and when he brings me their Miraculous, I'll take away his powers" said Gabriel
"What about Adrien? He might be put at risk" said Nooroo
"Vincent and Adrien are quite good friends, Vincent would never harm him, no matter what..." said Gabriel
"NOOROO! DARK WINGS RISE!"
Nooroo flew into Gabriel's brooch as 4 wings formed around the brooch.
A swarm of butterflies wrapped around Gabriel clothing him in a dark purple suit and metallic cowl.
Gabriel raised his hand above his head as his Cane materialized.
Gabriel posed as his transformation into Hawkmoth was complete.
A white butterfly flew into Hawkmoth's hand, he covered it with his other hand as it was engulfed in a dark energy, turning it black and purple.
"Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him" said Hawkmoth
==Canal Saint-Martin==
Vincent was sat at a bench next to the Canal Saint-Martin.
"Idiot Agreste, I am the best photographer in the world, my photos are pieces of art, how dare he insult them like that" said Vincent
The akuma fluttered towards Vincent and into his camera. A purple outline started shining infront of his eyes.
"Vision, I am Hawkmoth, you're great talent has been ridiculed, I'm giving you the power to show that man that he truly has no vision. All I ask of you in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous. Do we have an agreement?" said Hawkmoth
"It is a deal, Hawkmoth" said Vincent
A dark aura enveloped Vincent. His skin turned red and his clothing transformed into a green bodysuit with white and red accents. He also had a cybernetic eye and his hair turned into a long, white ponytail.
==Adrien's Bedroom==
Alya packed up her stuff to leave after she and Adrien finished studying for the day.
"I'm busy tomorrow, so we can continue studying on Sunday at my place" said Alya
"No problem, see you then" said Adrien
Alya smiled and left. When Alya was gone, Plagg flew out of Adrien's pocket.
"Hey, now that you've had your snack, when do I get mine?" asked Plagg
"You know where the mini fridge is" said Adrien
Plagg flew to Adrien's mini fridge and phased through the door, Adrien reached under his bed, but felt nothing there, he looked under to see his Ladybug scrapbook missing.
"Oh no, where is it?" asked Adrien
Plagg phased back out of the mini fridge, with a wedge of Camembert in his hands.
"Where's what?" asked Plagg
"My Ladybug notebook, I left it under my bed, but it's not here" said Adrien
"Calm down, it'll turn up" said Plagg, before throwing the biting into the Camembert and phasing back into the mini fridge.
Adrien tried to think about where the book could be when he heard a loud crash behind him, he looked to see Vision, who had just crashed through the window.
"OH MY GOD!" screamed Adrien
"Where is Gabriel Agreste?" asked Vision
"What do you want with my father?" asked Adrien
"Worry not, Adrien, I only wish to talk with your papa" said Vision
"Wait, Vincent?" asked Adrien
"Not anymore, now, I am Vision" said Vision
Vision stormed past Adrien and through the door. Alya, who was just leaving through the front door of the mansion, heard Vision and rushed to hide, before pulling out her phone.
==Marinette's Room==
Marinette was sewing her designs for Gabriel's Rookie Designer competition.
"These designs are lovely, Marinette, you're a shoe in to win the competition" said Tikki
"Don't get my hopes up, Tikki, I've seen the winning designs for the previous winners, and they're on another level to me, I just hope I don't do too bad" said Marinette
"Don't be so hard on yourself, Marinette, you're a great designer, you have just as much a chance to win as everyone else, maybe even more" said Tikki
"Aw, thanks, Tikki" said Marinette
Marinette heard her phone beep and she looked to see she had received a notification that Alya was live for the Ladyblog.
"Don't blink now, because we are live from Agreste manor, where an akuma, going by the name 'Vision' is trying to hunt for Gabriel Agreste, currently no sign of Ladybug, Cat Noir or Nightwolf, but I'll be sure to keep you up to date as I..." said Alya
Alya was grabbed by the back of her shirt and picked up by Vision, she dropped her phone onto the floor.
"Where is Gabriel Agreste?" asked Vision
"How should I know? I'm only a guest, I was just leaving when you arrived" said Alya
"Then you're no good to me" said Vision
There was a bright flash before Vision picked up the phone.
"Attention heroes of Paris, I am Vision, you are to surrender your miraculous to me, or else..." said Vision
Vision pointed the camera at Alya, showing her eyes had gone completely black.
"...this will be the fate that awaits Gabriel Agreste and the rest of Paris" said Vision
"What happened? Wait...I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!" screamed Alya, off camera
"Ciao" said Vision, before ending the stream
"Oh no, Alya!" said Marinette
"Looks like your designs will have to wait a little longer" said Tikki
"You're right..."
"TIKKI! SPOTS ON!"
Marinette brushed her hair out of the way as Tikki flew into Marinette's earring. Both of Marinette's earrings turned red and 5 black spots donned the surface of the earrings.
Marinette covered her eyes before moving her hands away to affix her mask.
Marinette stretched out one arm as a bright pink light pasted Marinette's suit onto her.
Marinette's Yo-Yo materialized around Marinette's waist.
With a little dance and a high kick, Marinette posed as her transformation into Ladybug was complete.
Ladybug left through the hatch in the roof before swinging on her yo-yo to the Agreste manor.
==Petiot House==
Zach Petiot was doing some work on his computer when he saw Ladybug swing past his bedroom window.
"What was that?" asked Howll
"That was Ladybug, maybe there's an akuma..." said Zach
"HOWLL! FULL MOON RISE!"
Howll flew into Zach's bracelet. His Gauntlet formed on his other arm.
Zach snapped his fingers infront of his face as his mask materialized.
Zach ran his fingers through his hair, causing his black, spiked hair to develop purple highlights and a set of wolf ears to form on his head.
Zach raised his right arm above his head and extended the retractable claws in his Gauntlet, before driving the blades into the ground as his suit formed on his body.
Zach waved his arms infront of his waist as his belt materialized.
Zach posed as his transformation into Nightwolf was complete.
Nightwolf ran across the rooftops, catching up with Ladybug.
"Ladybug! Wait up!" said Nightwolf
Ladybug stopped on one of the rooftops and turned to face Nightwolf.
"What's happening?" asked Nightwolf
"An akuma called Vision is at the Agreste Manor, he's after Gabriel Agreste" said Ladybug
"That's all I needed to hear, let's go" said Nightwolf
==Agreste Manor==
Adrien stood in shock from the top of the stairs as he saw what Vision did to Alya. Gorilla ran down the stairs to stop Vision, but Vision's cybernetic eye gave off a bright flash and Gorilla's eyes turned black. Adrien returned to his room and opened the mini fridge.
"Hey, can't a kwami snack in peace?" asked Plagg
"How did you not hear what was going on?" asked Adrien
"What happened? I had my mind on something else" said Plagg
"Vincent has been akumatized and he's after my father, we need to stop him..." said Adrien
"PLAGG! CLAWS OUT!"
Adrien's ring changed from silver to black before Plagg flew into the ring as a green paw print appeared on the ring. Adrien shot his hand above his head.
Adrien waved his hand infront of his face as his mask materialized, before running his hands over his hair, forming his cat ears.
Adrien spread his arms as his catsuit manifested from the center of his chest to his hands and feet. Adrien's belt and Bo Staff also materialized around his waist.
After performing 2 scratch taunts, Adrien posed as his transformation into Cat Noir was complete.
Cat Noir left the room and jumped to the bottom floor of the mansion, where Vision was trying to break down the door to Gabriel's atelier.
"Sorry Vision, but I don't think Mr Agreste is going to be wanting to see you, he's a very busy man" said Cat Noir
"Need some help, Kitty" said Ladybug, as she and Nightwolf burst through the door.
"Agh, the gang's all here, come to surrender your miraculous?" asked Vision
"You wish" said Nightwolf
The heroes charged towards Vision and tried to strike him, but Vision's quickness allowed him to dodge each attack. Vision blocked a strike from Cat Noir's staff and pinned the black clad hero to the ground, Ladybug used her yo-yo to tie up Vision and threw him up the stairs. The heroes followed him and the fight went into Adrien's room.
"Where's Adrien Agreste?" asked Ladybug
"No worries, I made sure he was safely hidden when I arrived" said Cat Noir
The heroes continued to fight Vision, but he still avoided every attack. Vision kicked Nightwolf before throwing him into a wall, and flipped Cat Noir over his shoulder, causing Cat Noir to land on a table.
"This would all be over if you just hand me your miraculous" said Vision
"Never" said Ladybug
Ladybug went to kick Vision, but her kick was blocked. Vision grinned at Ladybug before his cybernetic eye flashed. After the flash, Ladybug covered her face.
"LADYBUG!..." screamed Cat Noir
Nightwolf kicked Vision away from Ladybug and out the window. Cat Noir went to check that Ladybug was alright.
"Ladybug, are you okay?" asked Cat Noir
"Cat Noir? Where are you?" asked Ladybug
Ladybug looked up and her eyes were completely black.
"Oh no, he got her" said Nightwolf
"What's happened?"
Nightwolf and Cat Noir looked to see Gabriel Agreste standing at the door.
"Mr Agreste, you have to get out of here, there's an akuma after you" said Nightwolf
"I'm not going anywhere, and where's my son?" asked Gabriel
"Don't worry, I made sure Adrien was fine" said Cat Noir
"Ah, Mr Agreste, finally" said Vision, who climbed back through the window
"Who are you?" asked Gabriel
"I am Vision, or you probably know me better as Vincent, I'm going to prove once and for all that you truly have no vision" said Vision
Cat Noir pushed Gabriel out the door as Vision flashed his cybernetic eye, thankfully, Cat Noir and Nightwolf looked away, so they still had their sight.
"Let's get out of here" said Nightwolf
Nightwolf punched Vision in the stomach and threw him through the bathroom door, before taking Ladybug and rushing out of the room.
"Mr Agreste, come with us" said Cat Noir
Gabriel reluctantly followed Cat Noir downstairs, Cat Noir saw Alya sat on the ground and helped her to her feet, before guiding her to the atelier.
The heroes entered the atelier with Gabriel and Alya and shut the door behind them, while Cat Noir stuck his staff through the door handles to try to keep it shut.
"Ladybug, now would be a good time to use your lucky charm" said Gabriel
"How? I can't even see what it is" asked Ladybug
"We'll tell you and we promise we'll help get your sight back" said Nightwolf
"But..." said Ladybug
"Ladybug, I'm sure Cat Noir and Nightwolf can pull through, just trust them" said Alya
"I always trust them, but..." said Ladybug
"Then do it" said Alya
"Um, okay..." said Ladybug
"LUCKY CHARM!"
Ladybug flung her Yo-Yo high into the air. Energy shot out from the yo-yo before creating a broken light bulb.
"Well, what is it?" asked Alya
"It's a broken light bulb" said Cat Noir
"A broken light bulb? What are you going to do with that?" asked Gabriel
Nightwolf and Cat Noir thought for a moment, when a thought came to Cat Noir.
"I have an idea" said Cat Noir
"Let's hear it" said Nightwolf
"Mr Agreste, activate the mansion's self-defense system, like that time with Simon Says, total lock down" said Cat Noir
"What good will that do when the akuma is already in the house?" asked Alya
"Just trust me" said Cat Noir
Gabriel did as instructed and activated the mansion's defense system, the metal shutters covered all the windows in the mansion.
"I fail to see how this could possibly help" said Gabriel
"Don't worry, Mr Agreste, it'll work, I promise, now, when I say so, kill the power to all the lights in the house" said Cat Noir
"What? Why?" asked Gabriel
"Trust me, I have a plan" said Cat Noir
"Care to fill us in?" asked Nightwolf
Cat Noir whispered in Nightwolf's ear.
"Oh, I get it, clever" said Nightwolf
"What are you two talking about?" asked Gabriel
"Just do as he says, Mr Agreste, he's onto something..." said Nightwolf
"INSTINCT!"
Nightwolf's wolf ears perked up, as his eyes started to focus and his senses increased.
Cat Noir removed his staff from the door handles.
"HEY! VISION! YOU WANT US? COME GET US!" shouted Cat Noir
"What are you doing?" asked Gabriel
Vision burst through the door and stared down the heroes.
"You think locking the mansion down is going to stop me? Now you're just trapped in here with me" said Vision
"Guess again, now, Mr Agreste" said Cat Noir
Gabriel shut down the power to all the lights in the mansion. With no lights on in the mansion and no light coming in through the windows, the entire mansion was thrown into pitch black darkness.
"What is going on?" asked Vision
"What's going on is, we have the advantage now, you can't see in the dark, but we can" said Cat Noir
"They can?" asked Gabriel
Cat Noir and Nightwolf worked together to fight Vision, who was just swinging blindly in the dark, while Nightwolf and Cat Noir dodged and countered each attack.
"Of course, Cat Noir can see in the dark and Nightwolf's Instinct increases his senses, so in this darkness, he should be able to use his powers like a radar" said Ladybug
Soon, Cat Noir and Nightwolf pinned Vision to the floor, Nightwolf pulled off Vision's cybernetic eye.
"CATACLYSM!"
Cat Noir raised his hand above his head as his hand was infused with negative energy.
Nightwolf threw Vision's cybernetic eye into the air, Cat Noir caught it as it came down and it disintegrated, releasing the akuma.
"Mr Agreste, you can turn the lights back on now" said Cat Noir
Gabriel did so and the room was lit up again, Cat Noir handed the broken light bulb to Ladybug.
"The akuma's been released, you might want to get your vision back first, before you purify it" said Cat Noir
"Right..." said Ladybug, throwing the lucky charm into the air
"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"
An explosion of pink energy dispersed into a swarm of ladybugs that flew around the mansion, repairing all the damage caused by Vision, and reverting him back to normal.
"Huh? What happened?" asked Vincent
With her vision back, Ladybug saw the akuma.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma" said Ladybug as she opened her yo-yo
"Time to de-evilize!"
Ladybug captured the purple akuma in her yo-yo.
"Gotcha!"
Ladybug released the akuma, now pruified into a white butterfly.
"Bye-bye, little butterfly" said Ladybug
"Pound it!" said three heroes, fist bumping over a job well done.
"Hey, I can see again" said Alya
"Of course, Cat Noir's plan worked" said Ladybug
Ladybug heard her earrings beeping and knew she was about to transform back.
"Uh, Mr Agreste, you can shut down the security system now" said Ladybug
"Of course" said Gabriel
Gabriel deactivated the lock down and the shutters on the windows all opened.
"I gotta get going before my transformation drops, Bug Out!" said Ladybug, before leaving
"Yeah, I gotta get home too, thanks again for helping out" said Alya, before grabbing her backpack and leaving herself.
"I better go check to make sure Adrien's okay, where is he?" asked Gabriel
"Uh, I'll go get him" said Cat Noir, before leaving
That left Nightwolf and Gabriel Agreste alone.
"Um, you've really been a big help to Paris since you arrived" said Gabriel
"Uh, thanks, Mr Agreste, but I'm no different from Ladybug and Cat Noir, I'm just a guy that wants to keep Paris safe from villains" said Nightwolf
At that point, Adrien entered the atelier.
"Father, are you alright?" asked Adrien
"I'm fine, Adrien, what about you?" asked Gabriel
"I'm fine" said Adrien
"Well, since everything's fine here, I'm should get going" said Nightwolf, before leaving.
==Later that Night==
Ladybug returned to her bedroom after patrol.
"Tikki! Spots Off!"
Ladybug detransformed and Tikki floated infront of Marinette.
"So it's true" said someone
Marinette turned around to see Alya standing in the room, Marinette must have missed her when she arrived.
"H-hi Alya, how...how long have you been standing there?" asked Marinette
"Long enough, Ladybug" said Alya
"Um..."
"You are going to tell me everything" said Alya
And that does it for this chapter.
