Craft 7: Trial prep

Author's note: Greetings from Japan! Sorry if this feels a little late for you guys. But for me it's the morning. So just be aware of that. Also Merry Christmas! Sorry I didn't have anything for that. But it was great to be able to experience Christmas in Japan! KFC christmas meals are no joke. Either way I hope you enjoy this new chapter! Enjoy!

We are Artoria… Beacon Academy Locker room.

I stand in front of the locker room door. The doors open as sounds of students talking and gathering their things. Walking in, I pass the many students getting ready. Some are talking to each other, others are stepping out of changing rooms in their combat attire, loading up their Magazines, checking their guns, and checking all their weapon conditions. On hand to help them are the Support blacksmiths. One person is assigned to each Hunter and Huntress. I wonder-

Taiso:(waving) Hey there! I was waiting on you.

Artoria:(sighs) Of course it's you…

Taiso:(confused) What kind of "Hello" is that?

Artoria:(waves) I-It's nothing don't worry. Sorry if I worried you.

Taiso:(Shrugs) No problem, but what took you? I mean- I figured you would be waiting on me, but somehow I got here first.

"That's..." I mutter remembering my talk with Professor Oobleck.

Flashback…

All of the information I have gathered is scattered across the table as Professor Oobleck and I look through everything. "This is everything I could gather." I said, Oobleck quickly scans over the information. "Excellent work with putting all this information in such a short time." Oobleck complements looking at me. "Thank you..." I said, Oobleck looks into me from behind his glasses.

Oobleck: Hmm… Finding out who this Rider's true identity is isn't the only reason you wanted me here is their?(drinks coffee)

Artoria:...(nods, looks down at the table) I… Was always told that there are only 4 Kamen Riders, and that the other Riders had died in their last battle… But now, after generations of that statement being true, another Rider suddenly appears? It… Doesn't make sense.

Oobleck:(nods) Yes, this concern of yours is one not unfounded at all. Is this the reason you want to find out this Rider's identity?

Artoria: Yes, to know for sure. If this Rider is one spoken in Legend or some kind of fake.

Oobleck:(Looks down at table) It wouldn't be the first time, we had other Riders appear and proclaim that they are descendants of the lost kings. But that was long ago.(looks at Artoria) What did you say this Rider's name is?

Artoria:(looks up) Forge. Likely based on the Blacksmith that gave my ancestor and the other original Riders their weapons.

Oobleck: Now, now, let's not jump to conclusions. Besides, you have the Trials you need to go to soon no?

"That's right!" I said standing up. Quickly gathering up everything I put it all away, as I turn to leave I quickly turn back. "Thank you for your opinion Professor!" I said bowing to Oobleck, turning around I head off. As I speed walk away I can hear a mug of coffee being refilled as I leave.

Present…

Artoria: Just lost a bit of time with something is all.

Taiso:...(shrugs) Figuring it some kind of Rider business. I'll keep myself out of it.

Artoria:(nods) Good thinking.(walks up to locker) Let's get going.

Opening my locker grabbing my combat outfit I glance at Taiso. "What?" Taiso asks me. I glance down at my blade and scabbard. Picking up the blade and sheath I hand them over to Taiso. "I am going to change into my combat outfit and ready my belt. Can you look over my blade and load my Magazines?" I ask Taiso, he takes my weapon.

Taiso:(inspecting weapon) You got it mam!

Artoria:(smiles) Good to hear… But one more thing.

Taiso:(smiling) Heheh… Hmm?(looks at Artoria) Ah, sorry. What is that thing?

Artoria:(Glairs) Don't waste time inspecting my blade or anyone else's.(Grabs Taiso) Check the internals, sharpen my blades, load my magazines, and meet me in the changing room, understood?

Taiso:(shivering) Y-Yes mam!

Letting go of Taiso I grab my belt from my locker. "Good." I said walking over to the changing room. As I step into the room, I look at Taiso who's focusing on the blade, taking out the Magazine from inside the blade. Good. Pulling the curtain close, I began to change.

We are Taiso

A sigh escapes my lips as I grab a box of rounds, setting them down next to me on the bench, I stand up and walk over to Artoria's Locker. Grabbing 4 magazines I set them down atop the one I took out from inside the blade. Picking up a mag, I open the box of rounds and begin to load them in. "Still, a 50 round SMG Magazine in this blade is smart. Especially using the PD80's special magazine." I said loading the magazines. Inserting the last bullet in, I put aside the mags. Reaching down I grab the blade and sheath and take another inspection.

Taiso:(stands up) Yeah, I really need to open these up.

Taking the sheath and blade over to the workbench I begin to disassemble the sheath to look inside at the internals. "So Pyrrha? Have you given any thought on which team you would like to be on?" I overheard a familiar polite tone ask. Glancing in the direction of the sound I see Schnee talking with a red haired ponytail girl.

Pyrrha wears her red hair in a waist-length ponytail, curled slightly into a loose ringlet. She also wears light-green eyeshadow around the far upper corners of her green eyes. She was tall and quite muscular compared to most of the other girls at Beacon. As a top, she wears a brown overbust corset with a vertical strip of lighter brown in the center. Additionally, Pyrrha wears an elastic, black, A-line mini skirt and brown opera-length gloves on both arms. She wore a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt As for accessories, there was a small circular bronze plate on her right hip opposite two pouches with both connected to a belt. The plate bore her emblem. Underneath her hair, she always wears a brown circlet adorned with a pair of small, green, teardrop-shaped emeralds on thin chains. She also sported a large bronze gorget around her neck and a bronze bracelet on the upper half of her left arm. Even when dressed in her school uniform, Pyrrha continued to wear her headpiece. Additionally Pyrrha wears armor. She had elaborate bronze greaves that started below her mid-thigh before continuing downwards into her boots as well as a pair of cuisses that began mid-thigh and ended slightly above her knees. She was also equipped with a bronze bracer capable of connecting with Akoúo̱ atop the sleeve on her left arm. Her high-heeled boots were brown with bronze trim, matching her skirt and sleeves and reaching up to mid-calf.

Weiss:(turns to Pyrrha) I'm sure everyone is eager to unite with a powerful warrior like yourself.

Pyrrha: Hmm… I'm not quite sure. I'm thinking of joining Leo on his team. So for the last two I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may.

Weiss: Well, I was thinking we could be on a team. Teaming up with the Legendary Amazons is a rare honor.

The Amazons? I've only heard stories of that isolated culture... Looking at the Sheath sitting before me, I shake my head and turn back to work. Not my conversation to listen in on. After disassembling the sheath, I set out the blade and begin to unscrew and sharpen the blade. Everything looks good, wait… Ah, just a few parts need some fixing and replacing. Replacing a spring, a gear, and finally cleaning the barrel. Putting everything back together I pick up the blade and sheath. Picking up the magazines I bring it over to the changing room. "Hey! Just wanna let you know that I'm done with maintenance." I inform Artoria.

Artoria:(pushes aside Curtain) Good to hear. I was worried you would be too focused on everyone's weapons.

Taiso:(hands weapon) Y-Yeah... Un… Focused.

Artoria:(fixing hair) Hmm? What's wrong?

"H-Huh? Nothing… Interesting outfit." I said looking at Artoria dressed in a suit that looks like a stuffed jacket, but much more slim and covering the entire body. Artoria looks back into the changing room and steps back in to grab her belt. "What is that?" I ask Artoria as she turns back to me.

Artoria:(looks at suit) This? It's an undersuit that's meant to protect our body. We call it a Gambeson.(straps belt on) I'm pretty sure you can figure out what it's made of.

Taiso: So… Does every Rider wear a suit like that?

Artoria:(clips sheath to belt) Eh, each one wears a different kind of undersuit but yeah. But enough talking I need to go. We can talk about this after the Trial and the ceremony.

Artoria steps towards the door. "Oh… Sure." I said as I stepped out of the way. Artoria walks out with everyone else. Leaving the rest of the staff to clean up. Reaching into my pocket, I take out the mold I took from the Cast Grimm. I get the feeling I might need this and the Shield mold soon. Quickly scanning the room for anyone nearby. Seeing the coast clear I clench my fist, the metal heats up, as black liquid drips from the mold. After a few seconds of this, I open my hand to see the mold only needs a bit of water. I bring the mold over to the sink and I run the mold under the water cleaning it for my use. There we go. Pocketing the mold I take my leave from the locker room and back towards my room to grab my belt.

A few minutes later… Garage.

Rushing into Garage 5 I step in and over to my bike. My own bike… I strap on my belt. I activate my mold. "Blade!" A bombastic male voice exclaims. Inserting the mold into the belt, it slides into position. "Granted! Blade Forge!" The voice exclaims again, as the ring appears around me, my body set ablaze. I grab the hammer and bring it down while exclaiming. "Henshin!" "Mold Creation!" The voice shouts, blades launch from the flames and attaches the armor onto me. "The Honed Edge Bevel! Blade-Rider-Forge!" The announcer exclaims, the armor completes as steam blasts out of the pores in the suit.

Forge:(stretches) Ah~... Huh, I wonder what this would be like if I had that undersuit Artoria wears. But now…

Looking at the forge on my arm, I search in my pocket for the Key mold. Pulling out the mold I look at the slot on my forge. "So… Do I put it in here?" I ask aloud, looking across the forge gauntlet I notice a hatch large enough for a mold to fit inside and just before the hatch is a button… Boop. The hatch lifts up revealing a slot for the mold. Huh… never knew that was there. I take a quick glance at the mold and the slot, I slide the mold into the slot and close the hatch. The forge activates as it begins to pump something out. Clenching my hand, I open the palm of my hand as key materialises out. I catch the key before it drops to the ground. Looking at the key, I glance at the key on the bike. Is this… Inserting the key into the bike, I turn the key as the bike lights up. Once the light fades, I look to see… Nothing has changed.

Forge:(looks around bike) A-Are… Are you- You're kidding me. You have all the build up for this?... Forget it. At least I can still drive this thing.

I sit down, taking hold of the handlebars the vehicle begins to shake. Wh-What the?! The bike shakes as metal begins to grow out and take a new shape. The bike changes to have more armor around the front and back, with the color changing to my armor's color pallet. Whoa. Cool! Revving the engines, I let off the breaks as the wheels spin. Driving out of the Garage I head towards the Forest on the other side of the Crown of Kings.
