Craft 10: A Forest of Oddities

We are Arthur

Forge:(runs away) Secret art! RUN AWAY~!

Leo and Arthur:(sweatdrop) H-Huh?... SERIOUSLY~?!

Leo:(looks at Arthur) Now do you see why I'm not very trusting of people who claim to be Riders!

Staring into the trees, I watch Forge's figure begin to disappear. "Ah-I..." I struggle to find the words as I watch Forge run off. "Ugh, eyes forwards!" Leo shouts as we turn our attention back to the Gorilla as it raises its arms and slams them towards the ground. Just before the fists hit the ground, Me and Leonidas change our blades to guns and jump back. Narrowly dodging the fists as we open fire, as we back away from it. Our bullets pierce the flesh, but the gorilla simply tanks our bullets. The Gorilla Grimm roars as it jumps into the air at us, raising its arms overhead. "Heads up!" We hear as a spear flies straight past the two of us and into the Gorillas eye. The Gorilla falls to the ground, it roars as it screeches and writhes in pain.

Forge: Stop standing over there! Get over here!

Leo:(backing up) … Can we trust him?

Arthur:(turning around) Even if we can't, it's too cramped in here! We need more space!

We turn around and run towards Forge as the Gorilla gets back up to its feet, charging at us with a berserk rage screaming. The light of the forest clearing guides us towards Forge's position. "Duck and DODGE!~" Forge shouts as we exit. What does- Whoa boy! Forge swings his arm, wielding a long and large thin blade. We jump onto our bellies as the blade swings over our heads. The blade slices through multiple trees and the straight across the waist of the Gorilla splitting it into two. The Blade hits another tree and breaks upon impact as it turns to dust, as does the Gorilla.

Forge:(walking over) Whew~ (sighs) Sorry for bailing on you two.

Leo:(stands up) You can't just act on your own. You were playing with our lives, by just bailing on us.

Forge:(sweatdrop) Right, sorry. I guess I'm too used to working alone… But hey! It's a learning experience right?!

Leo:(Scoffs) Not with our lives at stake.

Leonidas turns around and walks away, Forge sighs. "Right, that was rude of me." Forge said muttering. Turning around as Forge kneels down sighing, I walk up to him. "Are you okay?" I ask him, Forge lets out another sigh before standing back up to his feet, he reaches to his hand, tightening his bracelet around his arm. "Yeah, fine. Just, I really do have a lot to learn." Forge said walking off rubbing the back of his helmet. "Arthur! We still have a test to complete! Come on!" Leonidas said, glancing to Leo then to Forge. "Will you join us?" I ask Forge.

Leo:(turns around) He's not part of this Test, we don't need to bring him along with us!

Arthur:(looks at Leo) Even still, he might be a welcome ally. We may still encounter Cast Grimm, so he's our best source of-(turns around) Do you hear that?

Leo:(walks over) What do you- Wait, yes I do. Footsteps approaching, someone is running here.

Forge:(walks over) You can hear that? I can't hear anything?

"Shh!" Leo and I shush Forge. "Ah-Sorry." Forge said, going quite again. Sounds of the wind and trees shaking fill our ears, when off in the distance, the sounds of footsteps become louder. A crack of a rifle sounds in the distance, followed by more and more rounds. The footsteps are followed by the sounds of buzzing wings, and gun fire. A fight nearby...

We are Yagyu

Rolling into cover behind a tree, I take aim and fire at the Grimm who ducks and dodges using the trees as cover. Each round we fire just gets stuck in a tree. "Damn! He's using our own strategy against us!" Shahryar exclaims while shooting, his rounds do hit the Grimm more often than mine but the armor on its body bounces the pellets off. "Tch! I was expecting this Grimm to trap itself, but I guess this Grimm is smarter than I thought!" I exclaim standing up and moving further back to more cover.

Grimm:(looks right) … Karmora… Kamen Rider. Emerokunmar!(flies off) Earmor… Karmaoroa!

Shahryar:(confused) What the…? Where is it going?

Yagyu:(stands up) No idea… Judging from the light it's a clearing… Oh no. Didn't it just say "Kamen Rider?"

Shahryar:(turns to Yagyu) Yeah?... Oh, shit!

The two of us get to our feet as we dash straight towards the light. As we run we jump over obstacles to reach the clearing.

We are Forge

Arthur:(looks into woods) The gun fire stopped… But the wings are… Approaching?

Leo:(readies shield) What ever Grimm it is, it's sloppy to let a Grimm escape.

Forge:(backs up) I got a bad~ Feeling about this...

Staring into the trees… I… See something? But what is it, it's too small for any normal Grimm, but it's oddly humanoid… Wait. Humanoid? "Get back you two, now!" I shout, the two turn to me. "It's a Cast Grimm!" I shout as the Cast Grimm flies up into the air and launches its arms straight at us. "Scatter!" Arthur shouts as we all jump out of the way of the attack. The Arms of the Grimm dig into the ground as the Grimm floats down. A Dragonfly Cast Grimm! Reaching to the bracelet on my arm, the Cast Grimm opens its mouth and screeches at us. "I've got this! Get clear it's about to get messy!" I shout as I loosen the grip of my bracelet. Raising my arm up I slam it into the ground, the ground begins to shake. The Cast Grimm launches it's arms at me. "Oh no you don't!" I shout as the ground parts open as, blades shoot up from the ground catching the arms in between the blades.

Leo: Catching the arms between the blades?

Arthur:(awe) Such precision… To catch the arms like that…

Forge:(makes blade) Now for the kill!

Running up to the Cast Grimm's body, I raise my blade up and in one clean cut, I remove all 6 limbs at once. The Cast Grimm flies up, it swings its tail at me. I duck and roll out of the way of the tail as it hits the ground. Bringing the butt of the blade up to the palm of my forge I extend the blade out into a Spear. Turning to the Grimm I toss the spear straight into the body of the Cast Grimm, knocking off balance it falls down and hits the ground. I run up to Grimm, twisting my wristband and grabbing the Cast Grimm's head. The Forge on my arm starts to fire on all cylinders as blades begin piercing out of the body of the Grimm. Pulling back, I watch as the Grimm is nearly engulfed in the blades. Twisting my wristband back into place, I reach down to my belt and bring down the hammer. "Hammerfall!" The belt exclaims as I clench my fist as it begins to glow red. Charging straight at the Grimm, I raise my arm and I slam my fist right into the Cast Grimm, all of the blades shatter like glass as the Cast Grimm goes limb as it's flung back, followed by an explosion. Whew~

Arthur:(walks over) So our Finisher moves can take out a Cast Grimm, is that it?

Forge:(nods) As far as I can tell. Basic attacks can only get you so far.

Leo:(looks at Grimm) So… This is a Cast Grimm? The Body isn't disintegrating…(looks at Forge) Do headshots, or any other fatal areas have any effect?

Forge:(shakes head) No, unsurprisingly it regenerates. But the Finisher does stop it long enough…

Stepping over to the Cast Grimm, I kneel down and reach to it's head. I take hold of the mold and pull the mold out from it's head. "To do this." I said as the Cast Grimm breaks down into a tiny dragonfly Grimm. "It returns to this..." I said looking at the little Grimm, it flies off towards the forest before a blade cuts it down. Two figures appear from out of the trees. "So that's what it really looked like?... Well I feel silly for being pushed around by it." Shahryar said, stepping out from the trees with Yagyu sheathing her blade.

Arthur:(surprised) Shahryar, Yagyu. So it was you who we were hearing battle the Cast Grmm?

Shahryar: What's what it's called? (nods) Uh, anyway, yeah… Since we didn't know much of anything, we just tried to find a way to pin it down.(looks at Forge) Surprised to see a Fake, pull it off.

Forge:(sweatdrop) Why does everyone refer to me as a "Fake?" I haven't done anything wrong?

Shahryar:(chuckles) Aww, is your meager pride that weak? Looks like we have a sensitive Faker.

Keeping my mouth shut, I decide not to answer. Only letting out a small sigh, I look back up to see Yagyu walking up to me. Hmm? "I-Is there something wrong?" I ask, Yagyu says nothing as she draws her blade and slashes me across the chest. "Agh!" I shout as I'm flung back. What the hell?! "Yagyu!" Arthur shouts. "What?!" "Huh?!" Leonidas and Shahryar both individually shout in shock. Getting back up to my feet and quickly making a blade, I raise it up to protect myself as Yagyu goes on the attack.

Forge:(shocked) Wh-What?! What?! Why?!

Yagyu:(swings blade) Faker! I will cut you down, ALL of you're kind!

Forge:(blocking) What have I done to Deserve this?!

"Silence Faker!" Yagyu shouts, swings at my head. Ducking under the blade I jumped back to make some space. "You're not getting away!" Yagyu shouts as she sheathes her blade and changes it to rifle mode as she shoots at me. Crap! I place my hand on the ground, creating a blade to block Yagyu's bullets. My blades won't last forever! I can block blades! Not bullets! Putting my back up against the blade, I reach into my holder and retrieve a mold.

Arthur: Yagyu! Stop this at once!

Yagyu: If you're not with me, then stay out of this! I'll exterminate this faker myself!

Shahryar: I'd agree if it was taking his belt, but this is a bit extreme don't you think?!

Leo: Shahryar is right! Stop this at once, I may not think he's worthy of the title myself. He is not someone you should stain you're blad-

Yagyu: Argh! JUST STAY OUT OF THIS! I'll kill him myself!

I'm sweating bullets hearing Yagyu shouting. Oh, Fortuna! She's Crazy! Reaching down to my belt I pull the switch back releasing the mold. "Faker!~" I hear as footsteps approach. Shit! I get up and jump out of the way of Yagyu swinging her blade and slicing my cover down. Rolling across the grass I look at Yagyu who even behind her helmet is clear with intent to kill me. What have I done to her?! "Look, I don't want to fight you!" I shout, raising my arms to surrender. "See?" I said. Yagyu only readies her stance to stab me. "Good, it will be easier to kill you outside the suit." She said thrusting the tip of her blade at me. Figures! "Shield!" Inserting the new mold into my belt. "Granted! Shield Forge!" The belt exclaims, I bring my hands together just in time to catch the tip of Yagyu's blade. Pushing the blade up and away from me, I quickly jump back bringing down the hammer. "Henkei!" I exclaim as the ring materialises at my feet and flame bellows from the ring around me. "Wh-What the!?" Yagyu exclaims confused, shields materialise and fly out to push Yagyu back. "Mold Creation!" The belt shouts as the shields return to the ring and materialise around my body as armor. "The Multi-Layered Wall! Shield-Rider-Forge!" The flame dispersed as I stood tall in my new armor.

Forge:(combat position) Kamen Rider Forge, Shield Mold. This form is purely for defence, I'm only going to block. So please… Let's not drag this out.

Yagyu:(sighs) … If you're not going to take this seriously…

Yagyu changes her rifle back to sheath mode, she takes hold of something. Pulling back a handle connected to a string, the sheath opens up revealing twin chains. "GET SERIOUS!" Yagyu shouts looking at me as her helmet changes to that of a Demon's face. Raising the chainsaw to the air as the engine loudly roars out, followed by a blood curdling screech from Yagyu. Bringing the chainsaw back down to the ground she stares at me.

Forge: … I have a question.(looks up at the sky) For God…. WHYYYYYYYYY~!?
