Craft 14: The Cliff Face battle Pt 1
We are Forge
Our entire group pushes past the trees, branches, and bushes as we reach the cliff. The entire team runs out of the forest towards the ruins at the base of the cliff. Just below the ruins is a foggy ravine, with the ruins being the only thing connecting the forest back to Beacon Academy, as the Ruins are built above the ravine and connect to the cliff face as the way back up to the higher ground. As we rush across the now open space, the familiar pair wings fly overhead. The Hooded man now stands on the back of a Normal Nevermore as it purchases on a pillar with the Cast Nevermore landing on another Pilliar opposite of it. The Hooded man climbs down to stand atop the pillar.
Hooded Man:(shouting) Hope you don't mind me adding a few plus ones. These Cast Grimm are just too… Strong for the extras, so I brought this Nevermore and another Death Stalker!
Jaune:(moving to cover) Oh, you have got to be kidding me!
Yang:(hops behind cover) Well that's great.
Yagyu:(looks back) They are coming in from behind us! He's trying to trap us!
The Nevermore flies overhead and behind us, the second Death Stalker busts through some trees, the Death Stalker moves straight at all of us. "Oh man, run!" Jaune exclaims as we rush towards the cliff. "Nora! Distract it!" Ren orders as he and Nora split up. "Forge! Assist her!" Arthur orders me, I split off from the Rider Group, grouping up with Nora. "Incoming!" I shout, as we both dodge out of the way of the Nevermore's feathers being flung at us at high speeds. Nora takes her Grenade launcher off her back and begins shooting the Nevermore. I begin producing blades with long handles, I reel back to fling it but… I glance at the spear. "Yeah, I don't think this will work…(looks behind) Look out!" I shout, as the normal Death Stalker busts through the trees behind us. Turning around I toss the spear into one of the eyes of the Death Stalker as Blake and Ren jump in swinging at the Death Stalker. Weiss drops in, grabbing me and Nora as we jump into the air, that's when an arm reaches out grabbing me and dragging me down onto a long narrow ridge not too far from the stone bridge to the temple. "Oof!" I grunt as my body slams on the cold stone. Getting up I see the Ravage Smasher pacing side to looking at me.
Ravage Smasher:(retracts arm) Forge Mo Amve Gemnto Toat Kegul Yot!
Forge:(produces blade) I have no idea what you just said, but I get the feeling it is a bit personal.
Hooded Man:(chuckles) Funny you mention that! That Beringel has quite the grudge. Especially considering you cut it in half!
Forge:(steps back) What?!(looks at Smasher) That can't be right! I cut it in half!
Hooded Man:(Chuckles) I just found lying down amongst cut down trees. Oh what a sight, a dying creature clinging to life. So I gave it a "Boost" to get it back up on its feet! Oh, and I do mean "On his feet."
Forge:(blocking attacks) What the hell?! How is this possible?!
Hooded man: Oh, I just stuck him together with a little something special to bind his body parts together. I assure you it does wonders for their bodies!
Forge:(jumping back) Well that's not Vague or Creepy at all!
We are Observer
The rest of the group run across the bridge, Arthur glances back seeing Forge battle the Ravage Smasher on a separate ridge. "Forge is still across the bridge!" Arthur exclaims, everyone else glances back. "We need to get ground before we can hel- Nevermore Incoming!" Leonidas shouts as the regular Nevermore crashes though the bridge separating Ren, Blake, and Pyrrah from the 4 Riders, Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Nora, and Jaune. "Man, we need to get over there, they need help!" Jaune exclaims, Nora steps up next to her weapon at the ready.
Nora:(reloads Grenade launcher) Let's do this!
Jaune:(looks at demolished bridge) Yeah, but uh… I can't make that jump.
Nora:(smiles) Heheheh.(knocks Jaune back) Hammer Time!
Nora's Grenade launcher transformers into a Hammer. "Whoa, Wait!" Jaune protests but Nora gets a running start before jumping and slamming her hammer into the other end of the bridge firing a grenade at the same time. The force of the hammer causes the bridge to catapult Jaune to the other side, "No, No, No!" Jaune exclaims, while Nora takes hold of her hammer and propels herself with another grenade explosion from her hammer. "Waaah, Smash!" Nora proclaims as she slams the top of her hammer into the Death Stalker's head. The Stalker strikes back with it's stinger, causing Nora to dodge the stinger only to bump into Blake knocking her off the bridge. Using her bladegun, Blake throws her pistol, firing at the same time, causing the blade to fly into the side of a pillar. Grabbing her ribbon that is attached to the gun she swings towards the Nevermore above.
Shahryar:(watches fight above) Well those four seem to be handling the Nevermore, while the guys at the Bridge handle the Death Stalker. And Forge is busy dealing with the Cast Grimm.(looks at Arthur) What now?
Arthur:(looks around) Their are still 2 Cast Grimm left unaccounted for, they are sure to attack us so-
Yagyu:(points to ridge) Arthur! 4 o'clock high!
Leonidas:(readies shield) Shield wall now, Arthur!
Arthur takes out her shield. "Right!" She exclaims as the two Riders block rounds from the Ravage Stalker who's shooting from the side of a ridge. Overhead, the Nevermore flies though the ruins breaking down knocking the four riders off the temple and into the ravine below. "Hurry! Back to solid ground!" Arthur orders as she combines her blade into its lance form. Landing on a piece of falling debris, Arthur uses it as a platform as she blasts herself up with her spear of light. Yagyu sheaths her blade and begins jumping from platform to platform using her Sheath in Rifle form as propulsion. Shahryar uses his shotguns to propel himself up into the air. Finally Leonidas places himself over his shield and flips a switch on his shield handle, ports across the shield open up. Leonidas pulls the trigger causing Flame Dust to blast out of the ports propelling him up. The two Lady Riders are in the sky over solid ground something flies at them. "Kamen Riders~! *Screech~!*" The Ravage Zashi slams into the two Lady Riders, flinging them further into the temple. Soon after, Shahryar and Leonidas land on the ground only to see they are the only two.
Shahryar:(looks around) Where are the other two?
Leo: I don't… Their!(Turns to Temple) It's the other Cast Grimm…
Shahryar: Then let's-(spots something) Look out!
Shahryar pushes Leonidas out of the way of the Ravage Stalker's shooting path. "We need to move!" Leonidas said, the two Riders get up to their feet and run towards the Temple entrance. "Kamen Riders..." The Ravage Stalker mutters, jumping off the ridge and onto the ruin platform and starts chasing after the two. The Hooded man laughs in and clapps atop his pillar.
Hooded man:(clapping) Oh, what a sight to behold! A Team split, battling for their lives! Forge in a one on one. Arthur and Yagyu in a two on one duel, and Shahryar and Leonidas in a shoot out! Not to mention the 8 Hunters in their own team battle. How fun!
We are Forge
The Smasher Grimm launches it's left fist at me, ducking to the right, the fist flies past my face. Quickly charging in, I swing my blade at the Grimm, the Smasher leans back with only the tip of my blade just barely scratching the helmet's face plate. The Smasher brings its arm back in causing me to be knocked off my feet by the Smashers arm grabbing my leg. Pulled up to right under the Smasher, it raises it's right fist up and throws it's fist at me. Rolling right, the fist narrowly misses hitting the ground behind me, putting my body back down flat. I raise my feet and kick the Smasher simultaneously rolling up to my feet. Quickly moving in, I swing my blade downwards up, cutting across the chest armor and through Grimm's body.
Forge:(jumps back) Ha! Got ya! Wha-?!
Before the body part falls off, something between the cuts grabs the body part. In the split second I spot a red eye, as the body is pulled back together. "The hell?- Oof!" I grunt as I'm gut punched and flung back. Hitting the ground, I roll across the cold stone. Putting my hands down I slow my momentum and look back up at the Cast Grimm who acts like nothing harmed it.
Hooded Man:(crosses arms) Like I said! Does Wonders for their bodies!
Forge:(kneels down) Ugh… Well, if cutting it won't work.(produces a second blade) Maybe whatever is holding that Smasher together will do the trick!(stands back up) Let's dance Accordian man!
Ravage Smasher:(beats chest) *Roars~!*
We are Arthur
Yagyu and I are flung into the side of the cliff as the stone parts and we fall into temple ruins. The two of us take a moment to get our bearings. "Ugh… Thank goodness the Temple's paths are build all throught the cliff face." I muttered while picking myself up. "I always wondered but..." Yagyu said, she looks at me. "What is this Temple exactly?" Yagyu asks, I sigh, dusting my armor off.
Arthur:(looks at Yagyu) We are in the middle of a fight and you want to talk about the Temple's history?
Yagyu:(stands up) Pardon me, but I haven't been living in Vale my entire life. So Pardon me if I don't know everything about this place.
Arthur:(sighs) That's not what I- Oh forget it. This place was the site of a long dead civilisation, they made tunnels connected to many different areas across Vale. The Original Arthur used the Tunnels to bring the first colonists to Vale.
Yagyu:(looks around) If that's the case why are-
Hooded Man:(incoherent) -There inside the temple!
Seconds after, the Ravage Zashi smashes through the wall, landing a mere feet away from the two of us. "Later." I said. "Agreed." Yagyu said as we drew our weapons. The Ravage Zashi reaches back, the blades on its wings come in close so the hands can reach the blades. Taking hold of a pair of blades the Ravage Zashi pulls them off it's wings and points them towards us. Yagyu and I glance at each other, then charging at the Cast Grimm. Yagyu gets in close and thrust the tip of her blade at Zashi's head, moving it's head to the side the blade misses. The Zashi spins around swinging it's blades, I jump in with my shield up. The blades bounce off the shield, I swing with my right arm at Zashi's legs. It counters by jumping up, Yagyu then swings her blade only for the blades to be blocked by Zashi's blade. The Zashi lands as we all jump back to make some distance.
We are Shahryar
Leonida and I run through the halls of the temple as the Ravage Striker shoots at us. "There! Cover behind the fallen pillars!" I shout, pointing to a large pillar that has toppled over. As Leonidas starts running faster, I quickly turn around and shoot at the Striker. The Striker uses its pincers as shields to block the shotgun rounds. "Shahryar, duck!" Leonidas said, turning around with his shield up. Round ports open up in a circle pattern on the shield, then a moment later flat rockets fire out of the shield. Shit! I slide under the oncoming missiles as they fly up into the ceiling blowing it up and causing rubble to collapse on top of the Striker. Leonidas and I jump into cover at the rubble and dust fills the room.
Shahryar:(heavy breathing) Blowing up the ceiling…(turns to Leonidas) Are all Spartans like you? That could have killed us ya know?
Leonidas:(heavy breathing) That was a… Calculated risk… Besides we're alive right?
Shahryar:(sighs) Yeah sure, please tell me that shield can do that again? As much as I joke, that might be better for blowing up those arms.
Leonidas:(looks at shield) No… It can't, I can only fire it's missiles only once.
"Brilliant." I muttered, as we both take a breather, when the grounds shake as we hear gunfire behind the rubble. "Fortuna be damned, it's still alive?!" I exclaim, standing up. "It must have pulled itself out of the rubble." Leonidas said, standing back up. Looking back around our surroundings there is little cover besides pillars and the ravine below. "We need a better position, we're fucked if we don't find a better place." I said looking back to Leonidas.
Leonidas:(shakes head) No… I don't think so. I think we need to change our strategy…
Shahryar:(sighs) Look. Just say we're going to Ambush it. No need to be so dramatic. This isn't a fucking Comic book.
Leonidas:(sweatdrop) Well… Uh… *Ahem!* Let's get into position.
