Craft 17: Entrance Ceremony

In the last Craft the party reaches the end of their test at the Cliff face to return to Beacon. Only to find the Hooded man with his entourage of Cast Grimm and regular Grimm blocking the path. With individual fights, Forge against the Ravage Smasher, Artoria and Yagyu against the Ravage Zashi, and finally Shahryar and Leonidas Vs the remade Ravage Stalker. Now we return to Beacon academy at the Award Ceremony...

We are Taiso

Watching from the stage floor, the last remaining teams are being formed. "Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie." Ozpin names off, as the four step up on stage to the applause of everyone. "The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces, from this day forward you will work together as Team JNPR, led by Jaune Arc." Ozpin announces, everyone gives a congratulator clap. Jaune really showed that he can be a leader out there. Jaune himself seems daunted by the task, Pyrrah happily hits Jaune on the shoulder knocking him over.

Taiso:(sweatdrop) Sheesh, talk about a Vibe Check.

Ozpin:(JNPR leaves stage) Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, and Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. On this day forwards you will work together as Team RWBY. Lead by… Ruby Rose.

Taiso:(clapping) Aye~ Way to go Ruby!(glances at Weiss) Hmm? I guess she wasn't expecting that. Still, all the other teams were named after colors, huh? I wonder what color they will have?

Ozpin:(RWBY leaves stage) And finally, Artoria Pendragon, Alborz Ali, Shizuka Sakura, And Leonidas Waller. The four of you retrieved the black King pieces, as of today you will be known as Team ALAS. Lead by, Artoria Pendragon!

Taiso:(clapping) Ye- wait.(turns to Reader) …(points at screen) I'm pretty sure that's not a name…(sweatdrop) Is it?

Turning back to the stage, I can see the four Riders look up at the naming scheme. All four of them have clear confusion on their faces. "I'm sorry, there are plenty of colors with two A's and an L, but not all three with an S." Ozpin apologises, Alborz leans forwards glancing at Shizuka. "Wow, thanks Shizuka." Alborz said, only to have the back of his head slapped by Shizuka. "Oh, shut it." She said, Ozpin chuckles.

Ozpin:(chuckles) Once again, I apologise it's difficult having teams made by the color they make. Perhaps I should loosen the naming schemes for next year?

Shizuka:(sweatdrop) No, it's fine professor.

Ozpin:(apologetic smile) Even still, looks like things are shaping up to be an… Interesting year.

We are observers… Downtown Vale

Within a warehouse, the night sky illuminates though the window beaming onto the ground. A man in a bowler hat and a white coat, with a cigar in his mouth stares at a map of the area. Across the map are notes scattered across different areas and sectors. The man takes out his cigar and breathes out, white smoke coming out of his mouth. "It's just one problem after another." The man mumbles. "Having trouble?" A voice asks, the man calmly takes another puff of his cigar before turning around.

Man:(puffs cigar) Not really. Phoo~ Thanks to your little distractions. The authorities are on higher alert than before. You're causing me problems "Legion."

Legion:(steps out of shadows) Ah~ but the thing is Roman. They are after my Grimm, not… Them. A crook is nothing compared to a Grimm.

Roman:(sighs) Maybe, but it's also making Dust Shipments harder to get. I hope you've gotten what I need?

Legion steps over to the table. "Of course." Legion said, putting his hand on the table and leaning on it. "I had an… Associates gather this, train movements, rail systems, and weak spots for attack." Legion said, stepping away form the table. Where his hand once was, a scroll lays on the table, Roman takes the scroll and reads the information. "Altho, it seems I need to leave now. Good day now… I have a meeting to go to." Legion said silently moving back into the shadows. Now alone, the man takes another puff, when the door to the warehouse opens as a man in a white Grimm like mask drags in a crate. Roman sighs as he steps over to the man in the mask, then on the table he sets out a bundle of cash showing both sides before setting it on the table. The man in the mask takes the money and pockets it. "Open it." Roman orders as the man in the mask opens the crate revealing Dust Crystals inside protective foam.

Roman:(inspects crystals) … We're gonna need more men.

One week later… We are Artoria

I set down my last piece of luggage on the ground. "I have everything." I inform everyone, looking at everyone else's luggage I get a feel for what the others brought. Most of the heavy luggage was handed off to Armory to safe keeping so all we have left are clothes and personal items. Alborz brought 1 handle luggage, Shizuka brought 1 medium size backpack, and Leonidas brought 1 average sized backpack. For me I bought a small luggage to bring my clothes.

Shizuka:(crosses arms) Hmm, surprisingly small Alborz. I'd figured you would have brought multiple suitcases.

Alborz:(shrugs) Hey, I don't care what I look like. Least compared to your red rage.

Shizuka:(anger mark) I can't believe I have to spend the next 4 years with you.

Alborz:(looks around) Well, I'm not really surprised by everyone else's luggage. Leo is small and simple, Shizuka you're not too large, and our Dear leader here has next to nothing.

Artoria:(crosses arms) Only because my house is so close by, it won't be hard to get new clothes as necessary.(looks at beds) Still...

Our eyes fall on the 4 extremely close single size beds, there is enough space between the beds to stand up, but if we stood up on the same side we'd bump into each other. "This room isn't big enough for all of us." Leonidas said bluntly. "Y-Yeah~" Everyone else said at the same time. "Though, I guess they set it up like this for us to modify." I speak up, everyone looks to me.

Artoria:(gestures around room) When I visited the Dorms in the past during the year, I'd often see the other students split off into different corners of the room. They would even by makeshift walls to make some more privacy as needed.

Alborz:(smiles) Ooh, I like the sound of that. I prefer some privacy myself.

Shizuka:(sighs) Well, nice to hear that we agree on something. I would like some privacy myself.

Leo:(looks at Alborz) I disagree there, as a team we should be open to each other. We should all be in the same space.

Alborz:(looks at Leo) You only think that because of all that time you spent in your training barracks with your fellow countrymen. Red Rage here agrees with me,(gestures to Artoria) you agree with me too, right? Artoria?

Artoria:(looks at Alborz) Actually, I would like an open space myself.

Alborz:(nods) See? She- Wait,(looks at Artoria) What?!

Shizuka:(sweatdrop) You can't be serious? Considering how much you seem to want to keep away from everyone else, I thought you would be on our side.

Artoria:(crosses arms) A team must work together, so should we not be in as one in this case? We should train, fight, eat, sleep the same way.

Alborz: But… Our fighting styles aren't the same.(gestures to everyone) We come from the 4 corners of the world. We are literal worlds apart from each other.

"That's..." I mutter, falling silent I step back as I bump into something. "Mistress." Proxy said, bowing to me. "Oh, Proxy, welcome. I didn't hear you come in." I said to Proxy, he simply bows to me. "My sincerest Apologies, Mistress. The Master asked me to bring you a few things you had forgotten." Proxy said bowing to me and handing me a small bag with my things. Thank you, Father. I gesture to him to stand up straight. "You're… Butler Droid?" Alborz gestures to Proxy. "Greetings everyone. I am the Pendragon head butler BL-07 MK3: Proxy." Proxy introduces himself. "Nice to meet you." Alborz said, "Greetings." Shizuka said, "Hello." Leo said. Now back to… Wait. "Proxy?" I ask, turning to Proxy.

Proxy:(stands straight) Do you require something of me, Mistress?

Artoria: We would like your help with something.(gestures around room) We are having a discussion on how we should set up the room.

Proxy:(bows) How may I help you?

We are Taiso… Meanwhile at the Headmaster Tower...

Standing in the elevator I watch as the floor level heads towards the top level. I tap my feet as an uneasy feeling fills my body, my thoughts are still stuck on the events a week ago.. Legion… The elevator rings as we reach the top floor, I snap back to what's ahead of me as I step out of the Elevator and into Ozpin's office. There I see Headmaster Ozpin and his secretary Glenda standing besides him. "Pardon me." I said giving a quick bow.

Ozpin:(gestures) Come in. I know you have much to do so I will make this quick.

Taiso:(nods) It's no problem.(walks over to the seat) Altho, I do have things I want to talk about too.

Glenda:(hands scroll) Then I shall start us then. We had a team search for the Nevermore that left with our unknown and found nothing. But when investigating the Emerald Forest further, we found many bodies inside the many caves.

Taiso:(takes scroll and sits down) Fortuna, those are… Cocoons?

Ozpin:(nods) The bodies were stashed inside the cocoons, all of the bodies were identified as ones that have gone missing over the last several months. All of them were… Murdered inside the cocoons with remaining personal items identifying ones that were likely eaten.

Taiso:(looking through pictures) But why were they even brought there? Grimm don't kidnap people… Wait, could he?!

Glenda:(nods) We believe so, this "Legion" person seems to be the one responsible for the kidnappings. Though we are unsure of if he did it alone or with others.

Taiso:(crosses arms) But why? What reason would he have to use people? I never saw anyone else when I was down there. I'm sure it's the same for everyone else.

Glenda:(shrugs) As of now, we have no clue nor leads. But I might have an idea. It's possible that these Cast Grimm are somehow connected to the bodies in some way, altho we know nothing at this time, other than all Cast Grimm are much more humanoid than any other Grimm we have encountered.

Ozpin:(leans back in chair) Nevertheless, I want you to be vigilant. We will keep a closer eye on disappearances around the kingdom. You should be on guard as well. We wanted you here to ask if you can go on patrol to keep an eye out.

Taiso:(nod) Sure, I'll patrol when I can.

Ozpin smiles and gives me a comforting nod. "Great to hear. That is all for now. You may leave." Ozpin said, standing up I give a bow to the two of them before heading to the elevator, calling up one and leaving.

We are Observer

As the door to the elevator closes, Ozpin stands up from his chair and places down a scroll, then he heads to the clock window. "Ozpin, that's not the entire story is it?" Goodwitch said, turning to Ozpin as he stands by the window, gazing out. "Sigh~ No. We can't bombard him with information all at once." Ozpin said, crossing his arms behind his back.

Glenda:(looks at desk) But he has to know eventually. Never before have all 4 Kamen Riders gone to the same academy before now. Why?

Ozpin:(looking outside) The other three kingdoms requested they come here… I'm sure you know what that means.

Glenda:(nods) Someone wants them in the same place.(Crosses arms) But who? Legion? Or is he just a laky? How far deep does this go?

Ozpin:(turns to Glenda) The answer will be revealed to us eventually, for now we must wait. I have a feeling things will become clear with time.
