After what felt like hours, even though it was only a few minutes, the arguing finally ended, and April and Casey couldn't have been any more grateful for that. They sat on the couch, drinking some Bud Light, while the turtles stood in silence in the living room.
The deafening silence was broken by Mikey, so said, "So, enough about our problems, what's going on with you two?"
"What do you mean?" asked Casey.
"You know what I mean, Casey. What are you doing with Angel Cakes?" asked Mikey.
"Angel Cakes?" asked Casey.
"It's a name Mikey uses for me." April explained to Casey.
"Are you in love with her?" asked Mikey.
"Don't answer that, Casey. Mikey just loves to barge into other people's personal business." said Raph.
"Hey! I don't do that too often." said Mikey.
"Yes, you do." said Leo.
"Leo, you're taking Raph's side now?" asked Mikey.
"I'm taking Raph's side too. What he said was an objective fact." said Donnie.
"Oh, I see. You're all ganging up on me." said Mikey.
"Mikey, it's not like that." said Leo.
"It sure does SEEM like it. All because I wanted to ask one simple question." said Mikey.
Casey, being annoyed by more unnecessary drama, said, "You know what, Mikey. You want an answer? I'll give you an answer. April went on a date with another dude a few days ago."
"She did?" asked Mikey.
"Yes, I did, Mikey. And he was an alright guy." said April.
"Who was it? Was it Vernon?" asked Mikey.
"What? Eww. No. Why would it ever be Vernon? I've never seen him in a romantic way and the same goes for Casey. It was a guy none of you know about." said April.
"Wait, so you two were never an item?" asked Leo.
"Nope. We're just friends. I don't see why it's so controversial for a man and a woman to just be platonic friends." said Casey.
"Wow. Welp, I was wrong." said Donnie.
"And now that I think about it, is Splinter doing this nudist thing too? Since he's a mutant animal and all?" asked Casey.
"No. He told me that his junk would be completely exposed, while ours are covered by our shells." said Raph.
"Thank Christ. Because I did not want to see a mutant rat dick." said Casey.
"Casey! Eww. Now you got that image in my brain." April said before she punched Casey in the arm.
"So, Casey, since you and April aren't attracted to each other, have you found someone you're interested in?" asked Donnie.
"Nah, not really. I'm enjoying the single life and being a badass vigilante. Maybe when I bored of the whole shtick I'll find me a lady, but right now, I'm doing fine." said Casey.
"Oh, well, okay. It just sucks that we haven't found anyone yet because of…well, you know." said Donnie.
"Don't worry guys. I'm sure the four of you will find love someday." said April.
"Even Mikey?" asked Raph.
Mikey was quite offended by Raph's comment and said, "HEY!"
"Yes, even Mikey." said April.
Leo was about to say something until he noticed Casey looking down and asked, "Casey, what are you looking at?"
"I've never seen you guys without shoes before. Well, except Raph, who never wore shoes. You guys got some big feet, you know that?" said Casey.
"Yes, Casey, we are well aware of that." said Leo.
"I mean a jumping kick with that foot could break somebody's face." said Casey.
"And that face is going to be yours if you don't stop with stupid conversation." said Raph.
"What? I'm just saying you guys have the limbs of Street Fighter characters. It's not an insult." said Casey.
For the next hour, the turtles continued to talk to April and Casey about personal things and how they feel about the lack of big events in the city recently. Eventually, it was time for the turtles to go back to the lair.
"Well, it was nice talking to you two, but we must get going. We don't Splinter to wait too long for us." said Leo.
"Alright, have fun with your new lifestyle. And don't get into any stupid situations." said April.
"Oh April, if we didn't do stupid things, we wouldn't have any good stories to tell you." said Mikey.
Donnie slapped the back of Mikey's head, causing Mikey to yell in pain/annoyance and making April and Casey laugh in the process.
Leo, Donnie, and Mikey were out of April's apartment at the point, but right before Raph left, he told April how appreciative he was to her, and she gave him a kiss on the cheek on the cheek as a result.
And then Raph was gone and the four turtle brothers headed straight to the lair.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter. The ending wasn't the greatest, but I'll live with it. The next chapter will be the final chapter and it will be about Leo and Donnie learning to accept these changes and the brothers finally getting on the same page. Also, I'm working/developing old stories and new stories and I'm hoping to finish some older stories before posting new stories. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
