(A/N): Well, 3 months since the last one. Recently, I have left the show for another franchise, but now, I'm getting back into Ed Edd N Eddy X Pokémon, and I've been trying countless times how to get attached like before. So here it is. Another Chapter :)

The Ed Boys and Galarian Kids had been endorsed by Champion Leon, Professor Magnolia and her granddaughter, Ms Sonia, after a huge battle. Meanwhile, Kevin and his Cul-de-sac friends found out that the Ed Boys would not come back and chose to stay in Galar, thus chasing after them.

(Chapter 3): Against All Eds

[Professor Magnolia's House: Ed boys and Galarian Kids]
It was time to wake up. As Gloria got up to play the bagpipes.
"Rise and shine, ye sleepy punks!" Gloria heartily laughed as she played.
Hop and Victor got up relaxed as they slept well. Double Dee on the other hand, was stunned awake as he fell off the bed. Eddy just groaned and got up. Ed was nowhere to be found, probably sneaking into the fridge to get something to eat.
As everyone got dressed and went to the kitchen, Ed was making tea using the Refreshing Herb from Double Dee.

[Minigame: Tea Crafting]
[Rules: Same thing as cooking Curry, BUT FIRST, you rotate the flame to protect it from the wind. Second, you dip the Tea Ingredient (mostly herbs) into another Tea Ingredient (mostly beverages) over and over again, trying to change the water, or ingredient #2. And finally, put your heart into it.]
Ed used a Moomoo Milk and a Refreshing Herb as he played this game, and surprisingly, he did well.
[Ed brewed Refreshing Milk Tea!]
(Special Effects: The Tea sprouts a rainbow.)
Ed and Professor Magnolia tried the Refreshing Milk Tea as they both were surprised.
"My, my, Ed!" Professor Magnolia was surprised. "You did an exceptional job at making your very own tea!"
"Hey!" Double Dee walked to Ed and Magnolia.
"It's morning at last!" Hop exclaimed. "And time for our adventure to truly start!"
"Good morning to you, young challengers." Professor Magnolia greeted the young kids.
Sofia then turned to Hop and Victor. "Hop, is it true you really met some Pokémon you didn't recognize? Is there anything more you can tell me about it?"
The Ed Boys and Victor looked at Hop as he placed his hands behind his head.
"Er, well…" Hop explained. "There was this weird heavy fog, and then this even weirder Pokémon appeared…
"And there were two of them." Victor added.
"Me, Victor and Gloria tried to fight it off! But then I think we all passed out or something." Hop replied.
"Oh yeah, sure." Eddy denied the fact. "Like ANYONE would just be destined to see a magic fog beast! If anything, they're not real and you probably might need a breath of fresh air, Hop."
"There was a loud sound when Leon brought us over to them in the grass, like a bomb." Said Ed.
"It's all pretty hazy…" Hop rubbed his head.
"A right fount of information you are." Ms Sonia replied, thanking Hop.
"What?!" Hop and Eddy were surprised.
Gloria came rushing in. "Ah ain't lettin ya run away from meh evah again!"
"Oh, Gloria, Hop, Victor! These are for you!" Magnolia gave the Galarian Kids their very own wrist bands that were made out of their Wishing Stars.
[Hop, Victor and Gloria obtained the Dynamax Bands and slipped it on their wrists!]
[Dynamax Band: A Wishing star has been affixed to it. It lets out a blue light that allows Pokémon to Dynamax when at a Power Spot.]
"What about us?!" Asked Eddy with a jealous face.
"I'm afraid your Wishing Stars have been chipped open, releasing uncontrollable power, so you're going to have to Dynamax the Old Fashioned way." Magnolia replied with a sympathetic look as she handed the Ed Boys their own Dynamax Bands.
[The Ed Boys received the M-Dyna Bands and slipped it on their wrists.]
[M-Dyna Bands: A Key Stone embedded into it. Combining energy with the Chipped Wishing Star allows it to Dynamax Pokémon, but only to those who have it.]
[Flavored Text: And what's with the "M" part?]
"Those are your Dynamax Bands. In their respective ways." Said Magnolia. "I made them by fitting the Wishing Stars you found last night into those bands. But for Ed, Eddward, and Eddy, I placed a Replica of a Key Stone inside as well as some Wishing Stardust to allow more than just Dynamax to certain Pokémon. And since the star has been chipped, you can practically Dynamax anywhere with enough space. HOWEVER, only one of you can Dynamax at a time, and because of it, it takes a long time to recharge all of you to Dynamax once more."
"Thanks, Professor!" Hop exclaimed. "This is brilliant! It's just like the one Lee has on him, too. Now we can Dynamax our Pokémon like he does!"
"My word, you don't waste any time, do you?" Professor Magnolia looked at Hop the same way she would normally look at Leon with. "I think you'll find it's not so simple as all that. Unlike the Ed Boys, there are a number of conditions you must meet if you hope to have your Pokémon Dynamax and take on that gigantic form."
"Oh…" Hop said, losing some joy.
"Sucker…" Eddy snickered at Hop.
"You posh punk…" Gloria squinted back at Eddy.
"Now don't be afraid to go to all sorts of places and meet all sorts of Pokémon." Magnolia tried cheering up, Hop. "That will help fill out your Pokédex, too."
"Monster Collection!" Ed took out his Rotom Phone and scanned everywhere.
"The legend of my reign is finally about to begin!" Hop crossed his arms.
"You mean MY reign!" Eddy butted in.
"No, I mean mine!" Hop and Eddy stared daggers at each other as Gloria looked at the two in annoyance. "Fine! I'll beat you to the station!"
"You're on!" Eddy ran outside, faster than Hop.
"Oh, you're really bonkers, Eddy!" Hop followed Eddy outside.
"Well, it's time we bid farewell, Ms Sonia." Said Double Dee. "Huh?!"
"Bye Eddy's teacher!" Ed replied as he carried Double Dee and ran outside. "Come on, I don't wanna lose the race!"
"ED, SLOW DOWN!!" Double Dee exclaimed.
"AH TOLD YE AH AIN'T LOSING YEW!" Gloria ran off after the Ed Boys.
"With sincerest apologies, Professor…" Victor bid farewell and then left for Wedgehurst.
[American Airport: Kevin, Rolf, Nazz, Jonny, Ali and Rasazy (The Cul-de-sac Kids)]
As for the American Airport, it was said that they must keep Pokémon inside the VIP line, which made the group feel even more special, the first reason was that they were denied their happiness when Eddy refused to come back.
Inside the VIP were Pokémon of all kinds of species and there were all kinds of trainers from around the world. And so to say, each one had a Pokémon of their own, or more.
"And now, here we are, Plank!" Jonny replied to his 2x4 piece of wood with a drawn on face. "Yeah, I know! We're going on an Adventure!"
"How come Jonny Wood Boy gets to keep his wooden plank while Rolf can't take Wilfred nor Victor?!" Rolf was pretty bummed about it since those were his only reliable transportation and luggage carriers.
"Maybe because they got enough farm animals as it is." Rasazy replied. "Or probably didn't want to get any parasites coming from your animals."
"SHUT IT, RASAZY!" Rolf yelled at the transfer student.
"Whatever." Rasazy simply replied.
"Right now, the Animals are the least of our problems." Said Ali. "So for now, we should be at least worried about getting an Endorsement."
"What is our Goal, dude?" Asked Nazz.
"For now, we should focus more on getting to Wedgehurst." Said the much wiser Immigrant Cousin. "From there, is where I suspect your Enemy's Teacher will be. From there, she will have to endorse us, or perhaps someone else. Until then, I will hold onto the Pokémon."
"Wise decision, big cousin!" Rolf replied.
"Wow, two minds think alike." Nazz smiled.
"If that's what triggers your brain worm, then you should see what they tried to water their manure…" Rasazy said disgustedly.
The group but Rolf and Ali cringed at the thought of it.
"Plane heading towards Galar is about to depart. All passengers please board into the plane." Said the co-pilot.
"Well let's get going." Said Kevin. "Get ready, dorks, cuz here I come!"
[Wedgehurst: Ed Boys and the Galarian Kids]
"Come on, Eddy! You'll never beat me to the station at that pace- WHOA!" Hop taunted Eddy as Ed zoomed by on his legs, forward ahead of himself. Hanging behind him was Double Dee and Eddy. They kept running until they crashed into a girl with a Calendar.
"Oops." Said Ed.
"Well, I can see you three have been quite the future to behold." Said the girl.
"Huh?" The Ed Boys looked at the girl.
"My, my. What an odd trio. Americans, am I correct?" Asked the girl.
"One of them's Canadian." Said Hop.
"Oh. Then I see a future you are willing to see behold!" The girl said eagerly.
"A fortune teller?!" Asked Ed. "TELL ME MY FORTUNE!!"
"Not so loud please…" The girl covered her ears.
"Ed, it's not nice to yell at people while they're giving a gift to you." Said Double Dee.
"Okay, Double Dee." Ed replied with a smile.
"Will my future bring riches and fame?!" Asked Eddy, eagerly. "It better be!"
"(Not with that attitude…) Um… Only I can tell with my calendar. SO BEHOLD!" The girl said as she said in a professional tone. She began foretelling the Ed Boy's futures. Until… "(Oh bloody heck! My calendar got smudges on them, must've been from my snack! I gotta make this up or else… I got it!)"
"So?" Asked Ed and Eddy.
"I see… You're gonna meet a legendary Pokémon in your future!" The Wannabe Psychic replied. "You're indeed a special one!"
"Huh?!" The Ed Boys were confused.
"Well, I'm chuffed…" Hop crossed his arms in disbelief. "Aren't those some daft assumptions…"
"And you are?" Asked the girl.
"I am Hop, the brother of the Champion, Lee!" Hop replied. "And I hope you aren't planning to SCAM our fellow Americans into handing a Fiver, now, won't aren't ya?"
"Um… no? It's a true fortune." The girl replied. "Well, gotta go!"
And so, she scurried off deeper into the towns.
"Well, what now?" Asked Eddy.
"We wait!" Said Hop.
"I see that you finally made it!" Peonia called out to the boys from the train station.
"Peonia, how did you get here?" Asked Hop.
"Had to run away from a certain Paparazzi, you know, big girl stuff…" Peonia stretched out her arms as Ed ran up to her and hugged her.
"TWINKLE AFRO!!" Ed yelled.
"GET OFF ME!" Peonia pushed Ed back.
Victor and Gloria barely arrived after the incident.
"Well, now." Said Hop, "I think it's time we all said goodbye to Wedgehurst."
"Wouldn't have said it better myself." Said Victor.
"I'll hurry it up." Peonia replied as she went into the Train Station and then went inside the train.
"What is with that girl?" Asked Eddy.
"Rumor has it that she has that awkward teen phase when teens ignore their parents. Sometimes clingy." Said Victor.
"Poor soul…" said Ed. "I wish I had her parents…"
"What?" Asked Victor.
"Nevermind." Ed shrugged as everyone left for the station, and right on the floor, Double Dee picked up a Disc.
[Double Dee found T.M. 40: Swift]
Double Dee looked both ways before placing it in his Bag, and then he followed with the rest.
[Wedgehurst Train Station: The Ed Boys and the Galarian Kids]
"Alright! Onto Motostoke we go!" Hop exclaimed.
"Not so fast, you lot!" Said a voice that was only familiar to Hop, Victor and Gloria.
"Huh?" Asked the Ed Boys.
"Mum?" Victor and Gloria looked over at the parents walking by.
"What're you doing here, Mum?" Hop asked.
"I knew this day was coming since you got Charmander as a partner, darling. (And is that a Grookey I see?)" Hop's mother looked at her son.
"Professor Magnolia was kind enough to let us know that you three were setting out." Victor's Mom (and technically Gloria's, too) explained. "So here - a last little gift to see you well set on your way. All the kit you'll need for camping!
[Hop, Victor and Gloria obtained a set of Camping Gear! Placed it in the Key Items Inventory!]
[Camping Gear: Everything you need to set up a tent and get cooking in a Wild Area or at a Camping Spot.]
[Flavored Text: If you were catching Pokémon at a Camp, does that consider 'Spawn Camping'?]
"No matter what happens out there, if you and your partner are together, I know you'll be fine." Said Victor's Mom.
"Thanks, Mum. And just think how lucky you are - mother to the first ever pair of Champion brothers!" Hop crossed his arms.
"Oh brother, get a load of THIS GUY!" Eddy groaned.
"Because I'm certain to be the Champion next. You'll see!" Said Hop.
Hop's mum giggled. "Of course you will be, darling. Anyway, do have fun and take care of yourselves! You'll be welcome back home anytime!"
The mothers nodded their heads in agreement.
"Wish us luck! Not that we'll need it." Hop smiled.
"Yeah, more lahke the Ed Boys will need some!" Gloria taunted Eddy.
"Very funny…" Eddy said sarcastically.
"There are loads of brilliant Trainers and all kinds of Pokémon out there waiting for us! My excitement's running ahead of me even faster than that train can go, guys!" Hop exclaimed as the train horn went off. "Come on, we're off!"
And with that, the Galarian Kids left the scene.
"Well, off to our adventure we go!" Ed exclaimed.
"Not so fast!" Hop's Mum stopped the Ed Boys.
"What Gloria said is true." Said Victor's Mom.
"Oh yeah… Luck…" Eddy groaned until he got kissed on the cheeks by both mothers, making him blush really red.
[Eddy's Team Spirit UNLEASHED like a Wildfire of Passion! The kisses ignited a hero like he hadn't unleashed before!]
And then a blank fiery aura flared up within all three boys.
[All Pokémon of Team Ed Boys gained Full Team Spirit Points!]
They giggled as they gave the Ed Boys their own camping gear.
"That's for enduring Gloria's wrath, we figured you needed luck. So that's why… we're giving it to you!" Hop's mum winked at the Ed Boys.
"Alright then!" Eddy said in confidence. "Adventure, Ho!!"
And with that, the Ed Boys left in the Train.
[Train: Ed Boys and Galarian Kids]
On the train, Hop, Victor and Gloria were playing on their phones, tapping their feet, while the Ed Boys were looking at the Scenery arriving at the new lands.
"Motostoke is surrounded by a vast Wild Area!" Hop explained. "It's a real sight. There's all sorts of wild Pokémon just wandering about - everywhere you look! Plus, you can camp out, do a spot of fishing…. I don't think I could ever get tired of it!"
Peonia was just hiding behind a Town Map, hoping to not get spotted. Ed frowned at Peonia, which had her confused. Something about Ed was telling her that he pitied her, but she was not going to let it ruin her moment.
'If only you know the pain that I go through…' Ed and Peonia replied to each other by thought, but can't telepathically communicate.
[??? Train Station: Ed Boys and Galarian Kids]
"Destination arrived!" The train announced.
Hop got off first and then the rest of the kids. Something wasn't right…
"Hey, Mr. Station Master! Isn't this the Wild Area?" Hop asked. "What're we stopped here for?"
"Yes…" The Station Master replied with a face that normally a guard would have. "This is the Wild Area Station, make no mistake. I'm sorry to tell you that the train is halted, due to a flock of Wooloo on the tracks."
"Well," Double Dee raised his shoulders. "My dearest apologies everyone…"
"What's there to be sorry about? This is brilliant!" Hop replied.
"Brilliant?" Asked every kid in the group.
"This Wild Area is MASSIVE! There are loads of Pokémon to battle here!" Hop exclaimed so eagerly. "You all don't get it, don't you? This is the best possible place to put together the greatest team!"
And with that, Hop left the team and ran forward.

(Scout Mode: Before an important event, Scout Mode is an Open World, if possible, talk system that interacts with anything. Changes may or may not be dire to the canon story. But even so, even a tiny item can affect the whole game. So, either change the battle scene or flip the odds in your favor by interacting with the social world of Galar and Pokémon!)
Double Dee talked to some strangers after walking around. And there was this nice, generous lady who gave him some dolls.
[Obtained 5 PokéDolls.]
"It's dangerous when fighting Strong Pokémon alone, but I'm sure you can handle it in a pack. If not, flee with these PokéDolls." The lady replied.
"Much appreciated for your charities, Ma'am!" Double Dee nodded as he left back to his team.
[Meetup Spot: Ed Boys and Galarian Kids]
The Ed Boys were amazed by the sight of a huge wild area, who knows what they will catch?
Soon, they caught up to Hop, who was waiting by the exit.
"Look at that!" Hop replied, pointing outward to a city guarded by a huge wall. "That's Motostoke, way off that way!"
"Ah, I see that's where we were supposed to go… but unfortunately the Wooloo cut us off…" Peonia replied.
"And between there and here are countless new Pokémon waiting to be met!" Hop said with a slight joy in his tone. As he looked past the group, he saw Ms. Sonia. "Oh, hello. And if it isn't Ms. Sonia."
Ms Sonia walked over to the group of seven as she twirled her hair around her left side of her head. "My gran gave me a proper earful, in her own way… 'Those young Trainers are setting out on a journey, but what are you doing with your life?'"
"Isn't being a teacher already a way of life?" Asked Victor.
"Unfortunately, since I don't have a proper degree in teaching… It's not official…" Said Ms Sonia "Ah… Never you mind that! Nothing to worry yourselves over!"
Double Dee felt sorry for Ms Sonia for ending up like this. Though he might agree with Eddy that she did a remarkable job keeping one of the Ed Boys at bay. Who knew what Eddy could do? But then again, she wasn't contracted to be his babysitter.
"My sincere apologies, Ms Sonia.." Double Dee replied.
"Besides, I'd been quite curious about those Pokémon you two met in the forest. I'd been thinking I should look into it, so the timing works out fine! If I discover something really huge, then maybe even Gran'll admit I've got some talent!"
"Yikes…" Hop wiped a sweat from his brow. "Being an adult has its own challenges, eh?"
"I said you needn't worry about it!" Ms Sonia replied back at Hop. "I'm glad to be on the road. Really! It's been ages…"
"Are you sure about that?" Asked Eddy.
"It'll be great fun to fish and camp and rough it outside again." Ms Sonia felt the glee from her old adventures.
"Well, I'm off to go stick my head in as many of those red glowing dens as I can find." Hop replied eagerly. "I'm going to battle the SNOT out of a bunch of Dynamax Pokémon and fill in another page in the tale of my legend!"
"You mean MY legend!" Eddy replied.
"QUIT BOTHERING ME!!" Hop yelled back as he ran into the wilderness.
"What cheek!" Ms Sonia smiled. "Dynamax Pokémon are really on another level, you know! You'd better Dynamax your partner Pokémon, too, if you want to take on opponents that strong!"
"That strong, huh?" Asked Peonia.
"Where are these 'Dynamax' Pokémon hiding?" Asked Eddy, quoting the word, Dynamax.
"You'll find spots here and there in the Wild Area that emit a red beam of light." Ms Sonia replied. "If you think you're up to it, check them out. There'll be Dynamax Pokémon lurking inside! So with that, how about I send you off with a little treat from me?"
[The Pokémon Team obtained a Pokémon Box Link!]
[Pokémon Box Link: A device that allows you to access the Pokémon storage system. There are some places where it won't work.]
[Flavored Text: A Box Link that actually works without a friend. So no need to run a thousand miles for a Computer. Unless…]
"With a Pokémon Box Link, you'll be able to put a Pokémon from your team into your Boxes or take Pokémon from your Boxes to add them to your team. Nice, right?" Ms Sonia asked. "So go wild catching as many Pokémon as you like, and fill in some more of your Pokédex! The Wild Area is waiting for you! This is the start of your real adventure!"
And so, each kid had run off into the Wild Area, with the Ed Boys sticking together.
As the Ed boys exited the Meetup Spot, Double Dee reviewed his log.
"Gentlemen," said Double Dee, "it looks like to further our progress, we'll split up into each section of the Wild Area, so that-"
"BUT WE CAN'T LEAVE EACH OTHER DOUBLE DEE!" Ed went into begging mode as Double Dee wasn't finished making the suggestion.
"If you let me finish, Ed…" Double Dee raised a hand. "I mean so that we can surprise each other with our effort we did to train our Pokémon, as well as a Surprise Pokémon for each other!"
"Surprise party?!" Asked Ed with such glee. "More monsters?! More stronger?! Read me in, Double Dee!"
"You mean Count, Ed? Okay!" Double Dee chuckled. "So, onwards we go! But before we split, let's head out and take our first exploration together!"
"Alright!" The other two agreed.
And right across them, was a Pokémon with a serpentine body, made up of large gray boulders and little pebbles. It had a long horn atop its head and small eyes.
"Whoa…" The Ed Boys looked at the majestic Pokémon in awe as Ed took out his Pokédex.
"Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon. Flying through the darkness, it weakens enemies with ultrasonic waves that could crush stone. Its fangs finish the fight. It rapidly bores through the ground at 50 mph by squirming and twisting its massive, rugged body."
"A big snake made out of ROCKS!" Ed was amazed.
[Be advised.] The Pokédex warned. [This one is a tough Pokémon. You should be careful.]
"It doesn't look so tough at all! What do you mean 'tough'?!" Asked Eddy.
"Perhaps the Dex meant it's stronger than us. Though I don't know why you point an opinion in the state of fact…" Double Dee looked forward to Onix as he found a Piece of Paper with a note on it. "The large Pokémon you see wandering around in the Wild Area are strong! If you try battling one and it seems like you're in over your head, try to run! Run like the wind!"
"RUN LIKE THE WIND!" Ed yelled as he ran into the Onix.
"ED!! NO!!" Double Dee warned Ed as he ran after Ed, but the battle commenced!
[Tutorial Battle Begin!]
[Music: Mario and Luigi Dream Team: Try Try Again, Smash Remix]
[A Wild Onix appeared!]
The Onix stood as the Three Ed Boys stood in position.
"Oh yeah!" The Ed Boys unleashed their Spirit Energy with their following Pokémon; Kong, James and Willow!
"See, not so tough, are ya, big guy?!" Eddy taunted as the Onix flared up with energy.
[Alpha Energy flared up inside Wild Onix!]
"Uh oh…" Eddy broke a sweat, until he remembered the kiss that Hop and Victor's (as well as Gloria's) Mother gave him on the cheek. "OH YEAH!!! LET'S SEE WHO'S STRONGER, BUD!!"
[Onix used Screech!]
The Onix screeched loud enough to shred through the defenses of the Ed Boys' Pokémon.
"Oh yeah?!" Double Dee smirked. "James! If you please, Water Gun… FULL POWER!!"
"(F - Feeling tough?!)" Asked James confidentially as he inhaled some air and yelled out a stream of water! "(Oh my, did I do that?)"
The Onix felt weak, but was holding on.
"It can't do much! Willow! Double Kick! FULL POWER!!" Eddy ordered.
"(Let's Score!)" Willow ran up to the Onix and did not do a 2 Hit attack, but a 4 hit attack! "(Feeling lucky, Daft lookin Punk?!)"
"Kong! Finish it off!" Ed ordered. "Branch Poke! FULL POWER!!"
"(Let's Rock!)" Kong ran up to Onix and his branch changed into a Tree Vine as he whipped it on Onix and finished it off! "(Want an encore?!)"
The Onix roared in pain before fainting.
[The Confidence Booster wore off as the Strengths of your Pokémon returned to normal.]
[Victory!]
"Alright!" The Ed Boys cheered as they gathered the loot.
(Victory rewards: 1. Chocolate Mint (Tea Ingredient)
The Ed Boys recalled their Worn down Pokémon and collected the loot and gained Experience. Eddy huffed in and out.
"I. Think. Lady's Luck. Worn out…" Eddy replied, taking quick breaths.
"That was one lucky kiss!" Ed replied, smiling. "What else can we do?"
And that was when Ed's stomach growled.
"Uh oh." Said Double Dee.
"Again with your stomach, Ed?!" Eddy yelled as his glutton pal. "Isn't there any way to stop hunger while on the road?!"
That was when Double Dee picked up another note.
"Cooking at your camp can restore HP to your Pokémon, and even the PP they need to use over and over!" Double Dee read the note out loud. "Pokémon that fainted and can't battle any longer will perk right up as well with a piping hot plate of curry before them! Visit Berry trees to collect plenty of Berries, so you can always make more Curries!"
"Is that so, Double Dee?" Asked Ed, with a drooling tongue.
"So much for empty stomach jokes…" Eddy crumbled and tossed away a piece of paper containing fat and gluttony jokes, for it was necessary to eat to continue fighting on, literally proven so by the note.
"Oh, my! Is that a Berry Tree?!" Double Dee pointed straight from the zone where they found the note and defeated the strong Onix.
"BERRIES!!" Ed yelled. "IT'S CURRY TIME!! COWABUNGA!!"
Ed ran forth, legs forward, and then headbutted the tree, making it drop a heap of 9 berries of different kinds.
"Exceptional job, Ed!" Double Dee packed up the berries.
"What else is new?" Asked Eddy.
"Well, since our Pokémon does not have a scratch on them, I figure we move on." Double Dee replied, as he pulled out a bag of Mexican/Irish Snacks. "As for you, Ed, try some of these Chocolate Covered Potatoes"
"Chocolate Covered Potatoes?" Ed felt odd. This wasn't a snack he found normally in Postwick nor Wedgehurst… But whatever can satisfy… He tried a bite. And suddenly, the flavorful dance of sweet chocolate and salty deep-fried potatoes resonated inside his mouth. "YUMMY!!"
"Glad you like them, Ed!" Double Dee chuckled.
"That looks weird…" Eddy cringed at the idea.
"Let's move out." Double Dee ordered as the trio walked between two trees and found another note. "Look around you (with the Right Stick) when you're in the Wild Area! And if you somehow can see far and wide (by pressing the right stick), you'll that you can see a wider view of things! Make sure you recollect yourself (by Pressing the L Button) to look straight forward again!"
"Alright!" Ed smiled as his eyes dilated from each other and saw around himself. The rich nature of all around. "Well, let's surprise each other! I hope I can catch a good Pokémon like Gravy or Buttered Toast Types!"
Ed ran off, joyously to the West of Rolling Fields.
"Well, then, Double Dee. Guess that means that I'll see you when I get stronger…" Eddy replied nervously.
"Is something the matter, Eddy?" Double Dee asked.
"Nothing." Eddy replied. "Just hope you, nor Ed, faint before we head off to Motostoke, okay? Train yourself."
"Why, Eddy, that's the most motivational speech I heard from you!" Double Dee was surprised.
"Yeah, yeah.." Eddy rolled his eyes, as he looked around for Pokémon… Until suddenly, the scent of burned Grass blew from the trail where Ed was gone. "Oh man! I sense Lumpy's got one! I'll check!"
Eddy left running in Ed's direction, towards the Grassy Explosion Scent, most likely from Kong's Spirit Attack Boost.
Double Dee chuckled as he took out his trusty Survival Gear out of his backpack. One of them was a Label Maker, and the other was a Telescope. "This should keep all three of us from separating! Now, to go catch some Pokémon!"
[Rolling Fields: Double Dee]
Double Dee noticed the Weather was a bit Overcast, which made him feel… Somewhat Eerie… But it didn't matter.
Something from Double Dee's bag was being taken out by something, when suddenly, the move accidentally nudged Double Dee. Double Dee observed that his Rice Cake was being taken as he followed it into the grass. From there, he saw a small Pokémon, but it hid inside the Grass. Though it wouldn't escape Double Dee's Rotom Dex as it scanned the Pokémon.
"Ralts, the Feeling Pokémon. It is highly attuned to the emotions of people and Pokémon. It hides if it senses hostility. If its horns capture the warm feelings of people or Pokémon, its body warms up slightly."
Ralts was a small, humanoid Pokémon with a white body that had wide legs, teardrop arms and long green bangs that had two red horns. At a certain angle, Ralts's red (sometimes purple) eyes were visible.
"My, my…" Double Dee remembered how to handle Pokémon with care as he took out a rice cake of a different flavor. "There, there, little one. Though, I recommend this one- ACK!"
The Ralts attacked Double Dee with his own Rice Cake, as Double Dee tried his best not to anger it.
"Well done, Double Dee…" Double Dee made a face of slight anger, as he took out a Pokéball. "That's it, Mister! No more mister nice guy!!"
"(Mister?!)" The Ralts was enraged as the two engaged in battle.

Monarch was summoned before Double Dee! "(Let's go!)"
"(Ew! A bug!)" The Ralts panicked.
[The Pokémon looked like it's about to Cry Out for Help!]
"Maybe the Radar Clock will help!" Double Dee thought out loud, as he activated the item as he selected it using Monarch's Type.

The Ralts cried out, right on time! "(HELP! I NEED HELP! SOMEONE SAVE ME!)"

Double Dee yelled out, "GOOD LORD, MAN!"
Combee was a three-headed Pokémon resembling a bee. Its three heads were shaped like hexagonal honeycomb, with each upper 'bee' having one wing and one antenna each and the lowermost 'bee' having a striped abdomen.
"(What shall we do with them all?)" Asked Monarch.
Double Dee scanned the strange Bee Pokémon with his Rotom Dex.
"Combee, Tiny Bee Pokémon. The members of the trio spend all their time together. Each one has a slightly different taste in nectar. It ceaselessly gathers nectar from sunrise to sundown, all
for the sake of Vespiquen and the swarm. Extra Fact: Females have a red triangle on their bottom head while males do not."
Double Dee remembered that Queen Bees were Female, and what he remembered were Females being the most important ones of the Bee Colony because there were technically no Kings. He looked at the horde for a Red Triangle, and found the Female Combee in the Center, next to the Wild Ralts!
"Alright, Monarch! Here's the plan, we're taking the Combee with the red forehead stripe and the Ralts!" Double Dee ordered.
"(My life is in your hands, Double Dee!)" Monarch trusted his owner.

[The Wild Combee Horde used "ZZZT!!/Combo Bug Bite!" while Wild Ralts used Disarming Voice!]
The Caterpie was driven to use an attack on his own, the String Shot, after he was battered with Bug Bites and toppled with a continuous Disarming Voice! And so, he used String Shot on all of the Pokémon, except the String landed inside of the Ralts's mouth! It squirmed in disgust as she tried spitting it out. The Combee Pokémon flew around the Ralts, protecting her.
"Oi, mate!" Shouted a Familiar Voice. "Need some help?!"
It was Hop!
"Hop, what are you doing here?!" Double Dee asked his Galarian Friend.
"Well, it seems like I may have found myself some perfect training! Are you perhaps aiming for two Rare Pokémon?" Hop asked.
"The Combee with the stripe and that Ralts? Certainly!" Double Dee responded back.
"Well, allow me to help you with this Ace attack!" Hop smirked as he sent out his Charmander for this Wacky Horde Battle! "Charmander! Use Smokescreen Defense!"
"(Gotcha, ol' chum!)" Charmander took a deep breath and blew some carbon dioxide with his tail as a smoke wand! The Bee Pokémon suddenly fell down into the ground, feeling Dopey. "(That oughta do it!)"
"Excellent work, Charmander!" Hop smiled. "Now, Double Dee! Pick your parts! And that Ralts may add some extra work, so here, some Watts!"
Hop and Double Dee shook hands, and that handshake transmitted energy onto Double Dee!
[Double Dee was spared 50 Watts by Hop's Charity!]
"Power up that Pokéball!" Hop ordered.
"Here goes nothing!" Double Dee took out an empty Pokéball and powered it with his Watts! "Such… power!... alright! Go! Supercharged Pokéball!"

Double Dee rolled 2 Lucky Berries and a Jigglypuff! The berries transformed into a Double Boost!

"(Oh no! Not like this!)" The Ralts tried using her Psychic Powers to catch or dodge the Pokéball, but the Ball opened up and ZAPPED the Pokémon inside as it sealed up!

[Pending Catches: As every trainer knows, you can only catch one Pokémon out of a bunch, but you can halt a catch until the time runs out to either catch more or finish the work.]
"Charmander, use Dragonbreath on ANY Male Combee, the ones with no red stripe!" Hop ordered as Charmander chose to attack with a piercing Dragonbreath!
"(Take this! RAAAH!!)" Hop's Charmander attacked two Combee and defeated them!
"My turn!" Double Dee ordered as he took out a spare Pokéball and tossed it at the Wild Female Combee, as she got sucked up inside and was sealed.

"Alright!" Hop cheered for his fire starter. "Charmander! Finish the last one off with one powerful Dragonbreath!"
"(One plate of hot breath, coming right up!): The Charmander took a deep breath and finished off the last Male Combee!
The Filled Pokéballs soon began to shake once… Twice… Thrice… Ding!!
[Gotcha! Ralts and Combee have been caught!]
Double Dee ran up to the Pokéballs and picked them up. "We caught them!"
"Double Dee, you might wanna look at your bugs for a second!" Hop explained as Radar's Pokéball sent Radar out as he and Monarch glowed bright.
Monarch evolved from a small cocoon into something with wings, while Radar has basically gone into a cocoon or so was the visuals. As the light began to die out, two new figures appeared.
[Congratulations! Monarch evolved into Butterfree and Radar evolved into Dottler!] The Rotomphone replied to Double Dee.
Butterfree, or Monarch, was an insect-like Pokémon appearing as a large butterfly. Monarch had a large purple body with light blue limbs and a nose with very small fangs. His eyes were quite large in proportion to his head and were a red color. Monarch's large wings simply appear as black and white butterfly wings.
Dottler, or Radar, was a small dome-shaped Pokémon. His yellow shell was large and shaped like a geometric solid with triangular flat faces. Blue dots appear where the triangles meet. His orange head could be seen from an opening at the base of the shell, as well as two flat blue feet. His large, light blue eyes are rimmed by darker orange markings shaped like glasses, and two blue hairs similar to Blipbug's protrude from each side of his face.
Double Dee scanned his two new Pokémon.
"Butterfree, the Butterfly Pokémon. In battle, it flaps its wings at great speed to release highly toxic dust into the air. It collects honey every day. It rubs honey onto the hairs on its legs to carry it back to its nest."
"Dottler, the Radome Pokémon. It barely moves, but it's still alive. Hiding in its shell without food or water seems to have awakened its psychic powers. As it grows inside its shell, it uses its psychic abilities to monitor the outside world and prepare for evolution."
"My, you really did a number on yourself during training, mate!" Hop exclaimed.
"Well, not that I would train to get stronger, but if it weren't for you, Hop, I wouldn't have caught Empath or Beatrice! I would've probably given you one."
"I see the name you got your Pokémon!" Hop said with glee. "And no, worries! There's no Pokémon here that would fit my team... But hey, only we can get stronger and stronger now! Just keep your head up and never fall, okay?!"
Double Dee had a lot of questions for Evolution ever since Monarch became a creature known as a Metapod. But he doesn't have time to question things, if he wanted to take the league. Perhaps this may surprise Double Dee for the rest of his adventure.
[Dappled Grove: Eddy]
As Eddy began following the trail to Ed, he heard some screaming from a Pokémon. "Huh?"
He peered over to the edge of the grass, where Bird Pokémon were trying to eat what seemed to be a Grass Pokémon. If there was anything Eddy hated, it was birds!
"SHOO! SHOO!" Eddy charged in with some Special Recipe Stink Bombs for the birds as they faint instantly. Eddy grabbed the mystery Pokémon as he scurried out of the way before the "Magic" wore off, and that's when a few more birds showed up! "CAN'T GET ENOUGH OUT OF MY LIFE, WILL YOU, BIRDS?! FINE!"
Using one hand, he took out a Pokéball and summoned Willow.
The birds paid attention.
"(How are YOU expecting ME to fight all of THEM?!)" Willow barked at Eddy.
"Work well with me, would ya?!" Eddy took some ingredients and crafted it into another Stink Bomb. "Try using Ember on my signal on this bomb!"
"(Got it!)" Willow nodded.
Eddy tossed the bomb in the center of the bird flock.
"HIT IT WITH EMBER!" Eddy ordered.
"(Take this, worm breath!)" Willow took a deep breath and spat out a fireball on the bomb, erupting it in a HUGE EXPLOSION!
Eddy let go of the mystery mon as she got something wet, sweet and sticky on his body. The creature he saved was a cute and small, round Pokémon that was not hard to believe to only be female, and not male. She had yellow eyes, a magenta-colored body, and a skirt-like design that was colored white. She also had three large green leaves on its head and no arms.
"(Thank you, for saving me…)" the Pokémon coughed with little energy.
Eddy licked the sweet liquids on his body, and instantly liked it, like it was a syrup candy.
"What are you exactly?" Eddy scanned the Pokémon.
"Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokémon. Its body gives off a sweet, fruity scent that is extremely appetizing to bird Pokémon. When under attack, it secretes a sweet and delicious sweat. The scent only calls more enemies to it."
"So… No place to go than a Birdie's stomach…" Eddy thought of a plan. "How about we team up to teach those nasty birds a lesson? Sounds like a deal? You'll provide me with sweet sweat and I'll provide your training!"
"(O -Okay, mister…)" The Bounsweet shivered off the pain and then smiled as Eddy grabbed a spare Pokéball and instantly caught that Bounsweet.
"I'll call you, Peach!" Eddy smirked as he collected his new partner as Peach smiled inside her Pokéball. "You know what? I'm ready to face Double Dee and Ed! Whether they're ready or not! Because here I come!"
Boom!!
[Sounds of Explosions could be heard within a few feet away!!]
"That must be Ed! Let's go!" Eddy squinted his eyes as he ran straightforwardly.
[Watchtower Ruins: Ed]
KABOOM!!
Another serving of a Full Powered Razor Leaf was dished out as Mary and Kong were getting stronger, but no hopes in fetching a Pokémon since they either fall or flee the battle.
"Aw, STILL NO POKÉMON!!" Ed grumbled as he tried his hardest to catch one, especially the eerie ghost Pokémon. But to no avail, even Kong's Grass Moves DESTROY them, and so, had
been using energy Horde battles. Ed sat down on a rock, angered by the situation as he was actually cooking for PP and HP fuel for his Pokémon.
When suddenly, a Pokémon appeared at the Tower Ruins.
"Huh?" Ed looked inside of the tower and saw a Pokémon.
It was a humanoid Pokémon with a blue and white body. Its head was white with large black eyes and pink cheek spots. It also had long limbs with blue hands and white feet, which its wrists and lower body are white.
Ed scanned the Pokémon inside.
"Meditite, the Meditate Pokémon. Meditite undertakes rigorous mental training deep in the mountains. However, whenever it meditates, this Pokémon always loses its concentration and focus. As a result, its training never ends. Meditite heightens its inner energy through meditation. It survives on just one berry a day. Minimal eating is another aspect of this Pokémon's training."
"I don't wanna go THAT far without eating…" Ed grew worried about the poor Pokémon. "I wanna feed it!"
Then suddenly, as he tried to go inside, he slipped over and fell, screaming as he fell.

…
He then respawned.
"That… HURTS!!" He groaned as he cracked his back. "Nothing like some good ole Jawbreakers that can do the work!"
The Pokémon looked down and saw a crater of Ed inside the abyss.
"(Oh my…)" The Pokémon levitated to Ed. "(Were you thinking of my training?)"
Ed looked at the Pokémon and smiled. "Hi! Want to be my traveling companion?!"
"(I'm sorry, but I must decline…)" the Pokémon looked away.
"Aww…" Ed moped as he LITERALLY DROPPED TO DEATH, or Off a Stock of Life as he made another crater. "I wonder how many lives I have left…"
"(Well, if it's alright with you…)" said Meditite as she levitated near Ed, testing her skills to evade a Pokéball.
But luckily for Ed, he already has some spare Watts as he SUPERCHARGED his Pokéball. He tossed it near Meditite as it flew past her, but it caught her with a lightning zap and sucked her inside. Ed retrieved the ball, automatically with a Homing system.
"And caught! I'll call you Lara after my favorite adventure comic character!" Ed smiled proudly. As he placed the Pokéballs in his Pocket. "Let's go find my friends so that we may train!"
And so, Ed set off to find his friends as all 3 of them had finished exploring the west of the Wild Area.

Double Dee trekked through a bridge that was above a home to all kinds of water Pokémon.
Eddy was following the damage of all the wild battles that may have been caused naturally, and not just by Ed.
And Ed finally made it to the front of Motostoke.
[East Lake Axewell: The Ed Boys]
"We did it!" Ed yelled out with Glee.
"Ed?!" Double Dee was arriving with his Pokémon. "How did you get out here so fast?!"
"Hey! Lumpy! Sockhead! How did YOU TWO beat me here?!" Eddy caught up.
"I caught a Monster!" Ed yelled with Glee. "And I've been training!"
"I can see that, Ed. Why, you got some Grass Stains on your jacket…" Double Dee chuckled as he recalled all of his Pokémon, just as the other two Ed Boys got a perfect glimpse of them. "Well now, as they say, let's hurry up and excel!"
The three Ed Boys arrived at the Motostoke bridge and finally entered inside.
[Motostoke: Ed Boys]
It was a huge Industrial Influenced City! With lakes and walls like a huge city of London times a brick wall, if they were painted brick red. Beyond, were some shops to get by, and some houses to explore as well as getting used to the Steampunk vibes. Also-
"RUFF RUFF!!" Shouted a Pokémon as she chased a Woman down. "ROCK RUFF!!"
"HEY! CALM DOWN! LOONA STOP!!" The Woman kept running as she was cornered. The Pokémon kept barking at the Woman. "SOMEBODY, PLEASE, STOP MY ROCKRUFF!!"
Rockruff was a small Pokémon that resembled a slightly plump dog. She had a fluffy tail, brown paws (with a small triangle on their end of the legs), a white neck decorated with brown fragments, a somewhat fatty beige underbelly, a brown mouth with a pink nose, two blue eyes and a pair of brown lowered ears. Ears were similar to those of a fox when they stood up.
"(I HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR CRAZY ANTICS LADY!!)" The Pokémon barked.
Eddy scanned the Pokémon.
"Rockruff, the Puppy Pokémon. This Pokémon can bond very strongly with its Trainer, but it also has a habit of biting. Raising a Rockruff for a long time can be challenging. This Pokémon intimidates opponents by striking the ground with the rocks on its neck. The moment an opponent flinches, Rockruff attacks."
Ed got closer and closer to the Rockruff.
"Loona, whatever you do… DON'T BITE THE BOY!!" The woman yelled, and already, Ed didn't like her.
Loona looked over at Ed and instantly jumped over him.
"(Nah, too smelly…)" Said the Puppy Pokémon.
"Uh… uh…" Double Dee froze in fear as he saw the feral Pokémon sniffing him. "Remember, Eddward… stiff as a tree, and don't… move…"
"Somebody stop that mutt! You know what? The helper gets to take care of my Rockruff!" The woman replied.
"Oh really?" Asked Eddy with a smirk as he took out a spare Pokéball, still in a miniature form, he then blew on it like lucky dice and then tossed it like one as it activated in midair.

[Eddy paid 300 Watts for a Triple Jointed Match. Eddy then rolled !!!"TRIPLE SEVEN"!!!]

The Pokéball then floated to the sky, into the thunderclouds. The Pokéball faced down and ZAPPED THUNDERBOLTS on Loona/Rockruff as she got sucked in from the ground into the sky. The ball sealed itself as it started to land, down into the ground like a meteorite! And BOOM! The collision on impact was a wallop, but the ball remained without a scratch! And so, the ball clicked and DING! Rockruff was caught!

"Oh yeah!" Eddy took the Pokéball for Loona. "I'm keeping you as Loona! Finder's Keepers!"
"Phew…" the woman walked to Eddy. "Thanks for handling that… pest… Taking care of dog Pokémon are a hard thing to do… But who knows, maybe I'm a cat person? I dunno. But now I know I'm not a Rockruff person. So, yeah. Take care of Loona…"
And so she left.
"A pest she was…" Ed mumbled to the Eds.
Eddy summoned Loona. "Hello there! Wanna walk with me?"
"(You BETTER not keep me on a leash, boy!)" Loona barked at Eddy as soon as Eddy pulled out a Hotdog. Loona sniffed it and then ate it, happily.
"See? I don't mind!" Eddy chuckled.
"Time to go explore this place!" Ed pointed to the Stadium. "Hey isn't that where we're supposed to sign for the Championship?"
"Who gave YOU the smart part of the script?" Eddy asked sourly.
"Well, it doesn't matter, we must still act now! Before the others catch up!" Double Dee replied.
