Chapter 107

"I had so much fun tonight, Colby! Thank you!" Mercedes exclaimed to her husband.

"You're welcome," Colby replied.

It was a month later, in the late night/early morning hours of Saturday, January 25, 2042. Mercedes and Colby were in Boston, Massachusetts. They had gotten into town on Thursday night with Mariah, Valerie, and Derek. Aaron, Ashley, Katianna, and Trevor with Evelyn and the twins had gotten into Boston on Wednesday. That was the same with many other WWE and NXT Superstars. Royal Rumble was that weekend. However, on Friday night of the 24th, it had been the birthday party Colby had planned for Mercedes.

Colby had rented out a party hall, hired a DJ, and gotten catering from one of Mercedes's favorite restaurants in Boston. It had been a basic dance party for her 50th birthday. Colby had invited many friends and family to attend.

Mercedes had been so overjoyed to see so many of her friends and family. She had been overjoyed to see Angela, Vicky, and Emily. As well as Becky, Ashley, and Pam. But many others of those from her days in the WWE or in her early career as a wrestler long before WWE.

It had just been a good time with family and friends to celebrate her birthday, her 50th birthday.

It was almost one o'clock in the morning and Mercedes and Colby were in their hotel room, lying in bed.

"Best party to date," Mercedes said.

"Well, you return the favor to me for a party in the near future," Colby replied.

"Hint taken."

Colby chuckled.

"I love you," Mercedes said, gently kissing her husband on the lips.

"I love you too, Mercedes," Colby said.

"Can you believe I'll be fifty tomorrow?"

"Yes, but you're still so hot and sexy."

"Right back to you, Mr. Fifty-five," Mercedes replied.

"Thank you," Colby commented, kissing her.

"No, thank you."

"You're welcome."

Mercedes smiled.

"Actually, baby," Colby said. "I see you as that very hot and sexy twenty-four-year-old that I wanted back in 2016!"

"Do you?" Mercedes replied with a smirk.

"Uh-huh! But I got her and now she's that nearly fifty-year-old I want! In fact, she's that nearly fifty-year-old I want right now!"

"In what way?"

"The same way I know you want your Mr. Fifty-Five!"

"Enlighten me!" Mercedes said.

"You and me in the sexual act, baby!" Colby smirked.

"Well, why didn't you say so?"

"I believe I just did!"

"Then shut up and let's get to it!"

Colby chuckled as Mercedes giggled.

One day later on Sunday, Katianna was walking backstage at the TD Garden. It was just hours before Royal Rumble. Many were busy getting ready and/or enjoying themselves. Katianna was one of those. She was so excited to be in the Women's match that night. But she couldn't wait to make her debut to the main roster the next night on Raw, while still in Boston. It meant the world to her to be doing it all in her mother's hometown. She was also very excited for her older brother to win the Men's Royal Rumble that night.

"Hey Kati," A voice said.

"Hey, Uncle Joe," Katianna replied.

"How are you today, sweetheart?" Joe Anoa'i asked with a bright smile on his face.

"I'm great," She replied, giving him a hug.

Joe currently stood with Jon Good and a young WWE Superstar, Nate Harris. But who's real name was Nathan (Nate) Harrison.

"Good," Joe said.

"Hi Uncle Jon," Katianna said, hugging him.

"Hey," Jon replied.

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were two WWE Hall of Famers who were surprise entrants in the Men's Royal Rumble. WWE had asked Colby if Seth Rollins wanted to be a surprise entrant as well. Colby turned them down. He said it was his son's night in that match and he wanted to watch it with his wife.

"Are you feeling good about tonight?" Joe asked.

"Yes! Just nervous, of course!" Katianna admitted.

"You'll do just fine. You're Sasha Banks and Seth Rollins's daughter."

"Yes, but my brother is the star tonight."

"Don't let your big brother overshadow you," Jon said.

"Your brother is the star tonight for the men's match. Just be one of the stars for the women's match like you're supposed to be," Nate said.

"Thank you, Nate," Katianna said.

"You're welcome" Nate replied with a smile.

Katianna grinned and blushed.

"Well, you seem to be in a hurry and we won't keep you," Joe said.

"Yeah," Jon said. "You probably need to get your hair and make-up done. Not that I'm saying you need it, because you are beautiful."

"Thank you, Uncle Jon," Katianna smiled. "But I am on my way there, actually. You know how it works because of Aunt Renee."

"That I do, sweetheart."

"I'll see you guys later." Katianna gave both Joe and Jon a hug. "I'll see you later as well, Nate."

"See you, Kati," Nate commented.

Katianna walked away. She couldn't help but grin as she did. She had a crush on Nate.

Nate tried to hide a smile as he watched Katianna walk away.

"Do you like her, Nate?" Jon asked.

"What?" Nate asked, looking at Jon and Joe.

"Do you like, Katianna?"

"What makes you think that?"

"He likes her," Joe smiled as he looked at Jon. Jon chuckled.

"Oh, give me a break!" Nate exclaimed.

"Hey, calm down! Calm down!" Jon said.

"Yeah, its okay, Nate," Joe said. "If you like her that's okay by us. What's not to like about Kati? She's a great woman."

"Yeah."

Nate nodded his head with a smile. "Sorry. Yes, I do like her if you two must know."

Joe and Jon smiled at each other. It was just like when they had teased Colby about Mercedes all those years ago. They had teased Colby about liking Mercedes and everything, telling him for so long just to go for it with her. However, her rape had happened and the teasing stopped. The two had stopped, because they knew how much Colby had liked Mercedes and wanted to go for it with her. But Colby just couldn't because of her rape.

"Well, I am going to give you some advice, kid," Jon said.

"What?" Nate asked.

"If you like her, ask her out. See what she says."

"Yeah, take a chance," Joe said. "Any chance, because something can suddenly happen and delay it."

Nate nodded his head.

Katianna grinned as she sat getting her hair and make-up done for Royal Rumble. She told the WWE Glam Squad about Nate.

Nate had only been on the main roster for a few months. He got a call-up from NXT in November. Nate and Katianna did hang out occasionally in the last few months. They had hung out a bit since September, a month after her breakup from Darren. It had been easier from September to November, because they had both been in Orlando at the Performance Center at NXT together. Then he was on the main roster in November and he started to get busy with the main roster and travel. Then the holidays popped up.

Katianna had spent all of her days off from the holidays in Moline with her parents and siblings. She had wanted to be with them, because she really missed them.

Now she was coming up to the main roster and Raw as well.

"Make something happen, Kati," Elena, a current main roster WWE Superstar, said as she was getting her hair and make-up done next to Katianna.

"You think?" Katianna asked.

"Go for it, girl. I haven't seen or heard Nate take much interest in any other girl in a while."

"Thanks, Elena."

"No problem."

Katianna smiled.

Joe and Jon kept to themselves about talking with Nate. There was no need to tell Colby or anyone else about it. Katianna was twenty-one years old and Nate didn't have a bad reputation. Joe and Jon saw no worries for their adoptive niece. But if there did end up being any worries, those two would be on Nate's ass, because Katianna was still their adoptive niece since Colby was one of their best friends and brothers of the WWE.

Later that night, Katianna made her entrance into the Royal Rumble at Number 20 and was one of the final three people, making both her parents proud. She got a huge pop from the crowd when she made her entrance as well.

After making her way to the back after her elimination, Aaron and Trevor were there to congratulate Katianna. She gave them both a big hug.

"You did great, Kati," Trevor said.

"Thank you," Katianna replied. "Did I fuck anything up?"

"There was nothing wrong at all," Aaron said. "Not that I saw."

"No," Trevor agreed.

Katianna smiled.

"You were terrific out there, Katianna," A feminine voice said.

Katianna smiled again. She looked to see Mercedes. Mercedes held her arms wide open. Katianna quickly went and hugged her mom. The mother and daughter hugged each other tightly.

"No screw ups?" Katianna asked, pulling out of her mom's hug.

"Not at all," Mercedes said. "Colby?"

Katianna grinned seeing her dad.

"No, you were terrific like your mom said," Colby said.

Katianna quickly hugged her dad.

"It was a perfect spot for you, Kati."

"Thank you, Dad," Katianna said, pulling out of his hug. "For everything."

"Honey, you got into the Rumble by yourself. As well as making your debut on Raw tomorrow night."

"Yes, but you trained me."

"I might have trained you, but your heart and dedication are all you. The same goes with Aaron and Trevor. You all have the heart and dedication like your mother and me. All of you are where you are, because of it."

"And it won't stop," Aaron said. "Because I have the Men's Royal Rumble to win. Then the Universal Championship at WrestleMania."

"That's my boy," Colby said.

"Proud of it!"

And Arick Rollins won the 2042 Men's Royal Rumble later that night as well. He also announced that he was challenging the current Universal Champion for WrestleMania.

"I am so proud of you, Aaron," Mercedes said, giving her son a bear hug.

"Thanks, Mom," Aaron replied. "I'm very excited I got to win the Rumble in your hometown and on your birthday."

"Me too."

Aaron smiled. He hugged her and kissed her cheek.

"Now where are my fiancée, sisters and brothers, please?" Aaron asked, looking around.

Mercedes smiled. She pointed to where Ashley stood with the rest of her children. Her son-in-law included.

Aaron smiled and went over to his fiancée and siblings. "Come here, Val-Val," He said.

Valerie quickly went over to her big brother, giving him a bear hug as her mother had done a few moments earlier.

Mercedes looked at her husband as he stood near her. Colby smiled. He held his arm open for her. Mercedes walked the few inches to him and let him wrap his arm around her.

"Our pride and joys, huh?" Colby said, referring to the kids.

"Yes. And our daughter is carrying another one," Mercedes replied, referring to Evelyn.

Colby smiled. He looked over at the kids.

The kids were all happy and talking.

"Hey Aaron," Someone said.

Everyone looked to see who it was. It was Nate. Katianna smiled.

"Oh, hey Nate," Aaron said.

"Congratulations on your win," Nate said.

"Thanks."

"And great job to you, Kati, in the women's match."

"Thanks!" Katianna grinned.

Nate returned his own grin.

Aaron and Trevor looked at each other as big brothers. Mariah, Evelyn, and Ashley all smiled at each other. They knew very well about Katianna and Nate. Derek and Valerie didn't sense anything.

"Well, I'm sorry to have interrupted you all," Nate said.

"No, no," Katianna said. "Its fine!"

"Yeah, its perfectly fine!" Evelyn said.

"Did you need something?" Katianna asked, giving a smile.

Nate smiled. "I wanted to talk to you. But it could wait until tomorrow."

"No, no! I can talk to my siblings in a few minutes or even them tomorrow!"

"Okay, cool. Can we talk over here?"

Katianna nodded her head.

Nate smiled. The two walked away from her siblings.

"What do you think he wants to talk to her about?" Mariah asked with a bright smile on her lips.

"Who cares? They're talking!" Ashley said.

"Yeah," Evelyn said.

"What's going on?" Aaron asked.

"Yeah, what do you three know that we don't?" Trevor asked.

"Kati likes Nate," Evelyn said. "And he likes her."

Aaron and Trevor looked at each other and nodded their heads.

"What's this?" Colby asked his wife, seeing Katianna and Nate stepping away from the kids.

"I don't know," Mercedes said.

"So, what's up?" Katianna asked Nate.

"Well," Nate smiled. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime. And not to hang out. Not as friends at least."

"I would love to go on a date with you! I'm game for anything."

"How about lunch tomorrow?"

"Yes! That's perfect!"

"Great. I'll swing by your hotel room to get you at about 11:30?"

"Sounds great," Katianna said.

"All right, I'll see you then," Nate replied. "You have a great night!"

"You too."

Nate smiled. He walked away.

Katianna grinned. She looked over at her siblings. They were all looking over at her. She quickly went over to them. "Nate just asked me out and for a date!"

"Yay!" Mariah exclaimed.

"Finally!" Evelyn said.

"Yes!" Ashley said.

Katianna grinned.

"What's going on?" Mercedes asked.

Katianna looked at her parents who had come over now. She smiled. "I have a lunch date with Nate tomorrow."

"Good for you, sweetheart."

Katianna continued to smile.
