Chapter 111

Two days later, it was WrestleMania Day. Aaron and Katianna were both nervous and excited. Mostly nervous.

Aaron was going to have the biggest match of his career so far. He was going to win the Universal Championship at WrestleMania and he was only twenty-two years old. Katianna's match was the biggest match of her career so far, because it was her first WrestleMania match. Despite having taken part in the Women's Battle Royal the year before.

However, both were going to put on great matches not only for the WWE Universe, but also their family and friends who would be in attendance.

WrestleMania was at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida again that year just as it had been twenty-five years previously. However, WrestleMania 33 had been on April 2, 2017 while WrestleMania 58 was on March 30, 2042. With that Colby and Mercedes decided to reminisce about the special moment they had had just a few hours before WrestleMania 33 twenty-five years ago, their engagement.

"I can't believe its been almost twenty-five years," Mercedes commented as she and Colby sat in the stadium seats.

"Its crazy," Colby said. "I remember like it was yesterday."

"Me too. I wasn't expecting it. It was the best WrestleMania I could have. Until the following year when I won the Raw Women's Championship again."

"Well, tonight's going to be even better. Our daughter has her first WrestleMania match and our son is going to win the Universal Championship."

"I can't wait. But let's think about what else happened on the day of our engagement."

Colby chuckled. "The first time we were finally intimate."

"Yep," Mercedes smiled.

"I'll never forget it, baby."

Colby was as nervous as Mercedes was. He had wanted for months to be with Mercedes. But their relationship had been more than sex. He knew her as a person and loved her for that. He had been with her as she went through a pregnancy. A pregnancy they both knew she had been scared with. But all that faded away when she heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. And seeing the baby as a very small thing inside her.

Colby soon deepened the kiss. His tongue parting her lips and slipping into her mouth. Mercedes gave a soft moan.

They kissed for a few moments before Colby pulled away and said, "Tell me if I need to stop."

Mercedes nodded her head. She kissed him lightly on the lips. She took the first move. She slowly took her shirt off, revealing her pregnant belly and herself in a simple blue bra. She dropped her shirt to the floor. She smiled at him. She reached for his shirt. Colby pulled it off himself, knowing what she wanted.

Mercedes smiled at him still as he simply dropped his own shirt to the floor. She kissed him lightly on the lips again and pulled away. She grabbed onto his hand and pulled him toward the bed with her.

Colby moved with her toward the bed. She sat down on the edge of it and moved back. Colby got on the bed with her. Mercedes settled herself lying on her back. Colby settled himself next to her. He leaned down to her and kissed her passionately.

Colby soon slowly began caressing her body. Mercedes was a little hesitate with it. But she stopped herself. Colby could tell she was also. He didn't want to stop caressing. Her body felt good under his hand. He longed to feel her skin in this way.

After awhile Colby pulled away from their kiss and looked at Mercedes. "Are you sure still?"

"Yes," Mercedes said. "I want you."

Colby smiled. He got up from the bed. He took his jeans off. Mercedes bit her lip watching him. Colby smirked at her. He didn't want to hold anything back now. He would stop if she told him to. But he would take it gently with her.

Mercedes couldn't help but grin as her now fiancé stood half naked before her in his boxer briefs. She had seen him like it quite a few times since they were together. However, this was different, because she knew she would finally get to see what he was hiding underneath. She giggled.

"Are you laughing at me?" Colby asked with a smirk.

"Oh, no!" She replied. "I just love what I see, looking forward to seeing what you're hiding underneath as well."

"Well, will you let me see what you're hiding underneath?"

"Yes, but you have to come take everything off yourself!"

"If you'll let me."

"Yes, come on over."

Colby smirked. He went back over to the bed, climbing on again. Mercedes grinned as he moved toward her. He undid her jeans. He carefully pulled them from her body. She lifted her hips, helping him pull them off. He gently pulled them down her legs, dropping them to the floor once they were off.

Mercedes smiled as he looked at her body. This was the first time he was seeing her half naked. She had never changed in front of him or anything. She knew she could trust him and everything, but she still had that insecurity. That insecurity of being half naked in front of a man.

"Beautiful so far," Colby smiled. "And I know it will be even more beautiful."

Mercedes smiled. Colby moved back to her. Mercedes sat up. She was taking the plunge and letting everything happen. It was the only way she wasn't going to be nervous or scared. But she trusted Colby.

Colby reached around her back and unclasped her bra. She didn't stop him, which he was thankful for.

Colby slowly pulled her bra off. Once the loops were gone from around her arms, he tossed the bra aside. He grabbed onto her boy short panties. Mercedes lifted her hips again for him to get them off. Once they were off, Colby moved back and looked at her now completely naked body. Mercedes smiled as he did.

"All so beautiful," Colby said. "So beautiful."

"Your turn now," Mercedes said.

"Gladly."

Mercedes giggled as Colby jumped off the bed. He chuckled. He quickly took off his boxer briefs. Mercedes grinned when she saw him completely naked.

"Well, well, Colby Lopez," Mercedes said. "Seeing you completely naked in person is way much better than those nudes two years ago!"

"Yeah, well, all this is just for you, baby!" He replied. "And that is my promise to you!"

"Come here," She said, wiggling her finger at him telling him to come to her.

Colby smirked. He moved toward the bed and onto it with her. He quickly kissed her lips once he was in reach of them. Once his lips touched hers, Mercedes took control, kissing him roughly. Colby gave a happy moan.

Neither of them were holding anything back now.

Mercedes and Colby pulled away, smiling at each other.

"Yes?" Colby asked.

"Yes," Mercedes replied.

Colby smiled. The two adjusted themselves so they were both on their left side. A side-by-side sex position was one of the choices they had with her pregnant belly in front of her.

Colby slowly and carefully entered her. He didn't want to hurt her in any way. And he hoped he didn't.

Mercedes took a breath at the intrusion into her body. But she soon gave a moan as he slowly and gently slid inside her.

"You all right?" Colby asked.

"Yes," Mercedes said. "Perfect."

Colby smiled. "Can I?"

"Yes," She replied with a smile.

Colby nodded his head. He gently kissed her lips. He then slowly began moving inside and outside her body.

Mercedes loved the feeling of it as he moved. It felt so good! Oh, so good!

"A little faster, please," Mercedes said after a little bit.

"Yeah?" Colby asked.

"Yes," She replied.

"Yeah?" He asked, wanting to tease her a little.

"Yes," She giggled, knowing what he was doing.

Colby chuckled. He slowly sped up. Mercedes moaned as he did.

"Oh, Colby," Mercedes moaned as he sped up just a little more after a little bit. She had that feeling again she had always had when she had sex. That wonderful feeling of erotic pleasure.

Colby smiled knowing she was enjoying herself. It made him feel happy. It also helped him enjoy himself.

"Oh, fuck, Colby!" Mercedes shouted as she was about to reach her climax.

"You were worth the wait for everything that was us then, baby," Colby said. "I would do it all over again too. Because in the end I would end up with you, marry you, and have six kids."

"Well, its hard to say what our two youngest kids are going to do for this world," Mercedes commented. "Aaron and Katianna are WWE Superstars. Evelyn has a college degree, is a wife and mother, plus wrestled a little bit herself. But Mariah wanting to do that specialized training as a nurse for sexual assault makes me proud."

"Me too. You inspired her for that."

"I just hope she can handle that trauma with those sexual assault survivors."

"She'll have good days and bad days with that, Mercedes. But she'll be okay. I know a lot of people in the medical professor have good days and bad days with patients and everything. But Mariah is strong like you and can handle it all."

Mercedes smiled. "I love you!"

"I love you too, baby," Colby replied.

Mercedes leaned over and kissed her husband.

Later that night, the happy couple sat in the crowd for WrestleMania. They sat with Mariah, Valerie, Derek, and Evelyn. Evelyn had left the twins backstage with Becky and Fergal. She had wanted to be able to enjoy WrestleMania without really worrying about her children. She wanted to be focused on her brother and sister. But she would text Becky and Fergal throughout the night if need be. Becky and Fergal were very happy to take care of their adoptive great niece and great nephew.

For the show, though, the Lopez family had proudly watched Katianna Rollins defeat Gia Marcel during the pre-show of the event. Katianna had also done a little tribute to her dad for the win. Katianna had used her dad's finisher, the Curb Stomp to obtain the win, which she had delivered beautifully. Gia had also taken it gracefully as well.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Katianna Rollins," Brynn said.

Katianna stepped into view of the camera. It was much later in the night now. Aaron's match would be taken place in about an hour. But Katianna was going to get an interview first.

The crowd also cheered at the sight of Katianna. Her parents and siblings among them.

"Katianna, earlier tonight on the pre-show you defeated Gia Marcel," Brynn commented. Katianna smiled. "However, we are still moments away from your brother, Arick Rollins taking on the Universal Champion, Cole Troy. What are your thoughts for your brother?"

"First off, one down, one to go!" Katianna said. "One down, because I won my match tonight. And one to go, because my brother will win his match tonight as well! My brother will win tonight, because he has been preparing to win since he won the Royal Rumble two months ago. How he will win, who knows? It could be with a Curb Stomp or…"

Katianna was suddenly attacked from behind. It was Gia Marcel and another female Superstar, Hayley Rodgers. Hayley was another Superstar who was not happy with Katianna coming to the Raw roster. She and Gia would be the ones who Katianna and Keagan Balor would be facing off with.

Officials broke Gia and Hayley off.

"You might have defeated me tonight, Katianna," Gia said. "But you haven't seen the last of me or Hayley!"

Katianna was shown on the ground. She had an angry look on her face, having been just attacked from behind. She knew what she needed to do.

Backstage in his locker room with Trevor, Aaron was getting nervous.

"You doing okay, Aaron?" Trevor asked.

"The nerves and excitement are coming together," Aaron replied. "We're just a few matches away from mine."

"We are. It'll be okay once you get out there, though. It was for me last year. Once you get into the ring and everything, you'll be okay. You just go into your zone."

"I had a WrestleMania match last year, but this one tonight is bigger."

"Yeah, it is. But you're ready!" Trevor said. "And if you have a few screw ups, so what! This is your time! And I am extremely proud to be standing here as your brother-in-law and a former Universal Champion myself. You got this tonight!"

Aaron nodded his head.

An hour later…

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for our main event!"

Mercedes, Colby, Evelyn, Mariah, Valerie, and Derek all go to their feet as the crowd cheered. It was time for the Universal Championship match.

Cole Troy's music hit. There was a mixed reaction from the crowd. Mercedes, Colby, and the kids booed, though. Cole made his way onto the stage. He held up the Universal Title. He then walked down the ramp and to the ring.

Aaron waited patiently to make his entrance. Ashley and Trevor were right there with him. Trevor would make an appearance during the match. As well as Nate. However, Ashley and Trevor were there to wish Aaron luck before he made his entrance.

"Good luck, baby," Ashley said, kissing her fiancé.

"Thank you," Aaron replied.

"You got this, little brother! You got this!" Trevor said. "And just remember Nate and I will each be out there a little later to help too!"

Aaron smiled.

"All right, Aaron, let's do this!" Paul Levesque said.

Aaron smiled still.

Cole's music stopped playing. It was quiet for a few seconds and then Arick Rollins's theme music hit.

The crowd erupted into cheers, screams, and applause. Mercedes, Colby, and the kids among them still.

Aaron walked out onto the stage and took a look around at the completely sold out Camping World Stadium. He nodded his head and made his way down the ramp and to the ring.

Katianna smiled as her older brother made his entrance. She knew he was nervous. He had told her so himself. But she could also see it. But she knew her brother would do great. They were both second-generation wrestlers. Their parents were Seth Rollins and Sasha Banks.

Aaron was in the ring with Cole and the referee as well as the ring announcer.

"The falling match is scheduled for one fall," The ring announcer said. "And it is a No Disqualification Match for the Universal Championship. Introducing first, the champion, weighing in at 285 lbs., from…he is the Universal Champion, Cole Troy."

Cole held his title up. The crowd booed.

"And the challenger, from Davenport, Iowa, weighing in at 215 lbs., Arick Rollins!"

The crowd cheered.

"Let's go, Arick!" Valerie shouted as she clapped.

"Rollins! Rollins! Rollins!" Derek shouted.

Mercedes and Colby clapped and cheered with that of Evelyn and Mariah.

Cole handed the Universal Title over to the referee. The referee took it and held it in the air. He then handed the belt off to a ring crew member. He called for the bell and the match got under way.

Cole went straight for Arick, catching the young Superstar a bit off guard.

Backstage, Trevor and Nate watched. They watched and waited for when it would be their necessary time to somewhat make a rescue to Arick.

Mariah, Valerie, and Derek had no idea about Aaron and Trevor forming The Shield together with that of Nate. Mercedes and Colby knew. Evelyn was not supposed to really know. However, Trevor said fuck it the other night and told her anyway because she had been upset about him not having a match like he had the last two years. It had made up for it. Plus, knowing that he was going to become the Intercontinental Champion soon as well.

Colby was really excited for Aaron, Trevor, and Nate to be the next Shield. Colby, Jon, and Joe had all been contacted by WWE to make sure they were okay with the idea. All three were. Colby was because it was his son and son-in-law who were the Superstars to be considered for it. Plus, to him it made more sense for his son and son-in-law. He was more than okay with Nate having been a choice for the third Superstar as well.

The match was great. Aaron and Cole both gave a great performance. But it was getting close to the end.

Arick was laying down in the ring. Cole had an evil look in his eyes. He was ready to brutalize and humiliate Arick just as he had TR Andrews at TLC. He went under the ring and grabbed a table, bringing it back into the ring. He set it up.

Sierra. Hotel.

The crowd erupted into cheers.

"Wait, what?!" A commentator said.

"What is this?!" Derek said.

"What's happening?" Valerie asked.

Mercedes and Colby grinned at each other.

The crowd cheered at the sound of the Shield's theme music. Cole wondered what the hell was going on as he looked toward the ramp.

Trevor came walking out onto the ramp. Cole smiled. Evelyn smiled herself among seeing her husband. She looked over at her parents.

Mercedes and Colby smiled back at her. They all knew what was happening.

"Come on," Cole said, telling TR Andrews to come into the ring.

TR smirked. He quickly walked down to the ring. He then jumped into the ring. He and Cole went at it. The two fought each other. However, someone came out of nowhere and nailed Cole with a chair.

"Who is this now?"

"It's Nate Harris!"

The crowd cheered.

"Nate as well?" Valerie asked, looking at Derek and then her parents.

Mercedes and Colby simply smiled at their youngest child. Valerie smiled, turning her attention back to the match. She knew what they knew now. It was supposed to be happening.

Cole was down. Arick was on his feet. TR and Nate both stood next to him. Arick looked at both of them. He pointed to the table. The three nodded. Nate grabbed onto the table and moved it into position. TR grabbed Cole.

"Are they going to do what I think they're going to do?" Mariah asked.

"They sure are," Colby smiled.

"Come on," Arick said.

All three Superstars grabbed hold of Cole and lifted him up. They threw him through the table, delivering a Triple Powerbomb.

The crowd was going wild.

Katianna grinned as she stood with Ashley backstage, watching. She loved it with her brother, brother-in-law, and her boyfriend.

"Triple Powerbomb!"

Arick, TR and Nate all exchanged smiles. TR and Nate pointed to Cole, telling Arick to pin him. The referee had been watching this the whole time. The match was no DQ so everything was legal with TR Andrews and Nate Harris having come out to the ring.

Arick smiled. He pinned Cole, being in the table and all. The referee counted.

"1…2…3." He called for the bell.

"Here is your winner and the new Universal Champion, Arick Rollins!"

The crowd went wild. Mercedes, Colby, and the kids cheered.

Arick got to his feet and his music played. He celebrated with his brother-in-law and Nate. The referee handed him the title. He held it in the air. He looked at Nate and TR. He nodded his head. He held out his fist. TR and Nate held out theirs, showing the symbol of excellence.

The Shield's music played.

"What just happened?" A commentator questioned.

"Are we seeing a next generation of the Shield?" Another one asked.

"Hopefully we'll have answers tomorrow night on Raw!" The third said.

WrestleMania ended with Arick, TR and Nate in the ring, holding their fists out. Arick also held his title up.

A few minutes later, Aaron, Trevor, and Nate all walked backstage. Everyone was clapping. Not just because of Aaron winning the title, but because it was the next generation of the Shield. Colby and Mercedes were making their way backstage with Evelyn, Mariah, Derek, and Valerie.

Aaron quickly turned to Trevor, hugging him. Trevor smiled. He returned the hug, patting his brother-in-law on the back.

"Congratulations, little brother," Trevor said.

Aaron pulled out Trevor's embrace. He smiled.

"Great job out there," Nate said, shaking his hand.

"Same to you," Aaron replied.

Nate smiled.

Aaron looked over at his little sister and fiancée. They both smiled at him. He smiled back and moved toward them. He hugged Katianna first. He hugged her very tightly.

"I love you, Aaron," Katianna said.

"Love you too," Aaron said.

Katianna smiled as he pulled out of their hug. He smiled at her. He turned his attention to his fiancée, hugging and kissing her.

"So, this is how my mom felt when my dad won the Universal Championship for the second time twenty-five years ago, very proud?" Ashley asked.

Aaron chuckled. "Are you?"

Ashley smiled as she pulled out of their hug and looked at him. Aaron smiled. "Yes, I am very proud," Ashley said.

Aaron kissed her passionately.

By this time, Mercedes and Colby were backstage with Evelyn and the rest of the kids.

"Aaron! Aaron!" Valerie shouted.

Aaron smiled. He quickly went over to his baby sister. He gave her a bear hug.

"Did you form your own version of The Shield like Dad had with Uncle Joe and Uncle Jon?" Valerie asked.

"I sure did," Aaron replied.

"Awesome. Trevor!"

Valerie quickly went over to her brother-in-law. Trevor chuckled as he hugged Valerie.

Aaron gave Derek, Mariah, and Evelyn bear hugs as he had Valerie.

"My big brother is the Universal Champion," Derek said. "That is so awesome!"

"Thanks, little brother," Aaron said. He turned his attention to his parents.

Mercedes smiled brightly as she hugged her son. She was one proud Mama. And Colby was one proud father as he hugged his son a few seconds later.

"You did great out there, Aaron," Colby said, looking at his son.

"Thanks, Dad," Aaron said.

"You know many students from Black and Brave have made it to NXT and WWE. They have had successful careers and all. But nothing tops it to your own son making it to the big time as you did. Especially at only twenty-two years old."

"Thanks again, Dad. And doing a next generation Shield is awesome."

"You're telling me. My son is the Architect now."

"And I'm going to make you proud as it."

"Believe that!" Colby said.

Aaron chuckled. He hugged his dad again.
