Chapter 112

The next day, the whole family went out to brunch. It was Mercedes and Colby with their kids, the kids' significant others, and their grandkids. Aaron was in a very cheerful mood. He felt great. He had gotten a good night's rest the night before and felt refreshed. Plus, he was the new Universal Champion.

"Kids," Colby said. "Your mom and I want to say how proud we are of all of you. Last night was a big night for Aaron and Katianna. But we want to say how proud we are of all of our kids."

"Yes," Mercedes said. "Yes, this includes you too, Evelyn and Mariah. Aaron and Katianna are WWE Superstars and living their dreams. But you, Evie and Mari, you make your father and me proud as well."

"Yes, Mariah," Colby said. "We are proud of you for your career choice and the hard work you have out in so far for your first year of college. Evelyn, we are proud of you for everything you have done: a college graduate, a wife and a mother. As well as a wrestler."

"Well, thanks, Mom and Dad," Mariah said.

"Yes, thank you," Evelyn said.

Aaron and Katianna agreed.

"But Valerie and Derek," Mercedes said. "Your dad and I can't wait to see what you two will be up to in the future yourselves."

"Yes," Colby said. "We love you very much and can't wait to see what you two will decide to do with your lives."

"Thank you, Mom and Dad," Derek said.

"I don't know what I'll do," Valerie said. "But I know I have three big sisters who inspire me to want to be like them."

"Awe, thank you, Valerie," Katianna said.

"Yes," Mariah said.

"Yes, thank you, sweetheart," Evelyn said.

Mercedes grinned. She was so glad her three eldest daughters inspired their little sister. However, they all inspired each other. All the kids did. The older kids were inspired by their younger siblings and, of course, the younger siblings were inspired by their older siblings. Derek and Valerie especially inspired both Aaron and Katianna with being WWE Superstars. They loved all the young fans they met. But none meant more to them than Valerie and Derek.

"Well, hello," A familiar voice said. A voice Mercedes will never forget. Even after twenty-five years.

The family all looked to see who was talking to them, but Mercedes already knew. It was Glenn Parsons.

"You!" Colby said, seeing him and quickly standing up.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Colby snapped.

"I was just coming to eat," Glenn said. "There's no crime there."

"Yeah, well, you did commit a crime twenty-five years ago! But nothing happened to you for it! However, justice was done when you were caught for attacking those two other women!"

"Has it been twenty-five years since we first met, Mercedes?"

"You fucking know it is!" Mercedes snapped as she stood up.

"Oh, that fire, Mercedes!" Glenn exclaimed. "That's what I love about you! That's what attracted me to you that night we met!"

"You son of a bitch!" Colby snapped. He moved toward Glenn.

"Dad, no!" Aaron said, quickly standing up and grabbed onto him.

"Congratulations on your win last night, Aaron," Glenn said. "It was quite a show with your match and the Shield. That was my favorite! And to have been live for it!"

"You were at WrestleMania?!" Colby asked. "How the hell?!"

"I am allowed to travel. It has been almost seven years since I was released."

"You shouldn't have been released. You should still be in jail and you should have been charged for Mercedes's assault too!"

"What assault?" Glenn asked. "She wanted it!"

"I wanted nothing from you!" Mercedes snapped, standing up as she was in tears. "I fought like hell!"

"Oh, yes! That was the best part! It is such a turn on when you women fight us!"

"Get out of here!" Evelyn said, standing up. "Just leave us alone!" She was crying.

"Oh, sweetheart," Glenn said. "I am sorry to have upset you. Your father is sorry to have upset you!"

"You are not my father! That man right there is my father!" Evelyn exclaimed, pointing at Colby.

"He might be your father, but I'm your birth father, Evelyn. And I am sorry to be making you cry. I am sorry I haven't been there for you. I should have walked you down aisle to marry your husband. Plus, be there for you when you had my grandchildren. But I am here now!"

Glenn moved toward Evelyn. Nate was quick to get out of his seat and keep Glenn from moving anywhere near Evelyn. Trevor was quick to get up and block his wife. Aaron held onto his dad who wanted to fucking get his hands-on Glenn. Colby was fucking tired of people holding him back from Glenn.

"You need to leave now," Nate said.

"Yes," Trevor said.

"That's no way to treat your father-in-law, Trevor," Glenn smiled.

"Leave now!"

"Is everything okay over here?" A manager asked.

Everyone looked at each other and around the restaurant. Glenn's appearance had caught a commotion in the restaurant.

"Just fine, sir," Glenn said. "I just upset these kind people. I will leave like they asked."

"Okay," The manager said.

Glenn smiled. "But before I do. I just want to say congratulations on being pregnant with your third child of a girl, Evelyn. That brings joy to my heart as your father. And my grandson, Andy and granddaughter, Hannah are both handsome and beautiful."

Glenn walked away, smiling.

Katianna, Mariah, Nate, and Ashley all looked at each other. They were not happy with what happened. Derek and Valerie were upset too. But only because their own mother and older sister were upset. Evelyn was crying. Mercedes was too.

"Are you sure everything is okay?" The manager asked. "Do I need to call the police on that man?"

"No," Colby said.

"Okay. Let me know if you folks need anything else."

"Thank you."

Colby looked to see where Glenn had gone. He had left the restaurant. He focused his attention on his wife. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her. Mercedes cried.

"It's okay," Colby said. He looked over to Evelyn. Trevor was comforting her. Colby shook his head.

Glenn Parsons, your ass is mine the next time we meet!
