Chapter 117
"It's okay, Sadie," Evelyn sobbed as she quickly scooped her daughter into her arms from her basinet. "You're okay."
Evelyn quickly took care of Sadie. She just needed a diaper change. Once her diaper was changed, though. Evelyn carried Sadie in her arms and into her own bedroom to grab her cell phone.
"Hey baby," Trevor answered his cell phone.
"I need you to get to your parents' house and pick up the twins now!" Evelyn demanded.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"Glenn was here!"
"What?! Glenn was at our house?!"
"Yes," Evelyn replied as she began to cry.
"How the hell does he know where we live?!"
"He was so sort of tech expert before he went to jail and he figured out a way to find my location by my social media posts. And your parents' address is listed online so he knows where the twins are! He told me the address! Please get the kids!" Evelyn sobbed.
"Yes, I'll get them and I'll be home ASAP! Call your parents!" Trevor said.
"I planned on it."
"Okay, I'll see you soon."
"Okay," Evelyn replied.
Evelyn quickly ended the call on her phone. She then quickly called Mercedes on her cell phone.
"Hi sweetheart," Mercedes answered.
"Mom!" Evelyn cried.
"What's wrong?!"
"I need you and Dad here right away please!"
"What's wrong? Are you and the baby okay?"
"Glenn was here! He knows where we live and where Trevor's parents live and that the twins are there too!"
"Oh, my God!" Mercedes exclaimed.
"Please get here now…"
"…We're coming!"
"Please hurry!" Evelyn cried.
"We will!" Mercedes replied.
Evelyn ended the call on her cell phone. She sat down on her bed and held Sadie.
"Colby!" Mercedes shouted.
Colby sat in the living room playing video games with Derek.
"Colby!"
Colby quickly paused the video game. He knew the tone of his wife's voice. It was worried. Derek didn't get upset when his dad paused their game.
"What's wrong, Mercedes?" Colby said as he wife ran into the living room.
"We need to get to Evelyn and Trevor's now!" Mercedes exclaimed. "I don't know how but Glenn was fucking there!"
"Glenn was there?!" Colby said, quickly getting up from the sofa.
"Yes! Evelyn said he knew where she lived and where Trevor's parents lived and with that of the twins being there too!"
"Oh, hell no!"
Twenty minutes later…
"Evelyn!" Mercedes shouted.
Evelyn was in Sadie's nursery. She would not leave her child's side. But if she heard her mother calling for her, she would just momentarily.
"Evelyn!" Mercedes shouted again.
"Evie!" Colby shouted.
Evelyn quickly ran from the room and down-stairs to her parents. Her parents had a key to her house and she always told them just to come right inside if she knew they were coming over.
"Mom! Dad!" Evelyn cried as she saw them.
Mercedes quickly took her daughter into her arms, holding her tightly.
"Are you okay?" Mercedes asked.
"No," Evelyn said.
"How does he know where you live?!" Colby asked.
Evelyn pulled out of her mother's embrace and looked at her father. "He said he was a tech expert before everything happened and that he was able to track down my location through my social media posts. But Trevor's parents' address is listed online so he could easily find them." She began to cry.
Colby took his daughter into his own arms and held her. "Where's Trevor now?"
"He went to the store. But I called him after Glenn was here. I told him to get the twins. He said he'd be here as soon as he could!" Evelyn sobbed.
"Wait, Colby," Mercedes said.
Colby looked at his wife as he held their daughter. "What?" He asked.
"You don't think Glenn would have tracked down our location and go to our house, do you?"
"He fucking better not!"
Colby pulled away from Evelyn. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and called someone.
"Hey Dad," Derek answered the house phone.
"Hey, I need you to do me a favor," Colby said.
"Sure."
"I need you to not answer the door to the house for anybody!"
"Okay," Derek said. "Is Evie okay?"
"No. But I don't know if Glenn might suddenly show up at our door!"
"How does he know where Evie lives? How would he know where we lived?"
"Apparently, he's a tech expert who was able to track down Evie's location through her social media posts. But Trevor's parents' address is listed online. But do not open that front door to anyone you do not know. And if someone does show up at the house, let me know!"
"You got it."
"Keep Valerie safe, please."
"I will," Derek replied.
"Thank you. Love you," Colby said.
"Love you too, Dad."
Colby ended the call on his phone. He looked at his wife and daughter. "Evie?"
"Yes?"
"Can I look at the camera outside your door?"
Evelyn nodded her head. She had her cell phone in hand. She went onto it and went into where you could access the camera footage from the camera outside her and Trevor's front door. She then gave her father her cell phone to look at. Colby took it.
Colby looked at the recording of when Glenn showed up at the house. He saw a car pull into the driveway. There were actually a couple cameras outside the door. He saw Glenn get out of the car and walk to the front door and ring the doorbell. A minute passed before the door opened and there was Evie.
Colby watched their interaction. Mercedes was right there watching too.
Colby got angry when he saw Evelyn go to hit Glenn, but he grabbed onto her arm.
"What did he say to you to make you want to hit him?" Colby asked. "Not that I blame you."
"He said Mom wanted it when he raped her and that Abby and Denise wanted it to," Evelyn said. "He said me lying a hand on him would do me no good. But that I also had such fire in me like Mom too."
"I swear to God!" Colby exclaimed.
"Did he say what he wanted?" Mercedes asked.
"He wants to know me. And that he would fight for rights to see the twins or even take them! Him threatening to take them made me panic!" Evelyn said.
"Oh, fuck no!" Colby said. "He's getting nowhere near you or those kids!"
Evelyn's cell phone went off in Colby's hands. It was text message saying Trevor was home.
"That's Trevor. He's home."
Evelyn was so happy to hear that. She went outside to meet her husband.
Colby looked at his wife. "Is my most fear being answered here now?" Mercedes asked. "I never wanted him to get near her or those kids. And he just might!"
"He's getting nowhere near her or those kids, Mercedes!" Colby exclaimed. "My fucking promise to you!"
A minute later, Evelyn and Trevor both walked into the house with the twins. The twins were very excited to see Colby and Mercedes. Evelyn and Trevor happily handed them over. After getting the twins settled in and checking on Sadie. The adults sat down in the living room and talked.
Evelyn told her parents and Trevor specifically what was said between her and Glenn.
"I don't want to know him!" Evelyn exclaimed. "I don't want him anywhere near my kids! I don't need to know him! Why would I want to?!"
"We know that, sweetheart," Mercedes said.
"What was he like when you saw him that time in the nightclub, Mom? What were his mannerisms?"
"He was an asshole!" Colby exclaimed, answering for his wife. "He said your mom, Sasha Banks was a great conquest."
"Well, we know he is unremorseful," Trevor commented.
"But why does he need to know me or even the kids?" Evelyn asked. "Dad paid him off all those years ago for him to go away. Why did he come here?"
"What if he's looking for more money?" Mercedes suggested. "What if he wants money again?"
"Well, if its money he wants, he can have it!" Colby snapped.
"Agreed!" Trevor said.
"NO!" Evelyn said. "He is getting nothing. He doesn't deserve it!"
"Whatever he wants," Mercedes said. "We'll figure it out. But he is not getting anywhere near you or those kids, Evie!"
"Agreed!" Colby said.
"Yep!" Trevor said.
"Well, if he does try anything," Evelyn said. "I am not holding back! I won't take threats from him!"
