Archangelazraelson: I came up with what I hope will be an interesting and fun plan for that: see below;

Winged Seer Wolf: I chose that particular point because it gave me the perfect chance for two magics to clash and result in the return of the Lost Boy-Who-Lived; at the same time, I also have a plan to involve what happens after that particular arc, so, as I always say, old friend: keep reading to find out;

Mintaro: I have a plan, but thanks for the suggestion;

ALSO: In response to my dilemma from the opening chapter, I've decided to break the story down into 'arcs' like the anime, which will flick back and forwards between Hogwarts time and FT backstory-time.

So, at the moment, here's what I have planned for the future;

ARC I: Harry's introduction to Fairy Tail/Lullaby Arc

ARC II: FTST's intro to Hogwarts and the First Task

ARC III: Galuna Island Arc

ARC IV: Yule Ball and Second Task

ARC V: Phantom Lord Arc

ARC VI: Third Task

ARC VII: Tower of Heaven Arc (bringing events full circle)

ARC VIII: Post-Tournament/Order of the Phoenix Intro

What follows that…well, I confess, I'm in two minds, but just keep reading to find out…

ALSO:

Some chapters ARE going to be brief and short in certain parts of the Arc, but that's because I choose to write them that long, so please can people NOT complain/have a dig because they feel the chapters could have been longer; believe me when I say it's taken me a lot of work to even come up with what I have so far – including how I'm arranging the arcs listed above.

Now, on with the adventure

Oberon

PREVIOUSLY ON FAIRY TAIL… (Sorry, couldn't resist)

"Harry Potter?"

"How do you know my name? Who are you? What Guild are you with? And would someone mind telling me where in Fiore we are?"

"What's Fiore?"

Finally, after a moment's pause, the man gulped hard as he asked, "Is…is this…am I in…"

"Hogwarts,"

"What the bloody hell are we doing here, Master Dumbledore?"

ARC I: Welcome to Fairy Tail

Chapter 1: Welcome to Fairy Tail

Several Years Before: Fiore

BOOM!

A single explosion, coupled with debris, falling timbers, crackling wires and panicking wizards, as well as the experimenters, filled the Bureau of Magical Development, the panic, fear and destruction accompanied by alarms, smoke, dust and no small amount of devastation. As the building trembled, a lone scarred figure stumbled through the ruins as they fell around him, one of his eyes covered by a bandage that seemed to still bleed, as was evident by the streak of red that trickled down his damaged left cheek.

As he edged his way towards the nearest open spot, the boy looked up just in time to see a retreating figure moving through the ruins, her raven-black hair billowing in the wind as she ran away.

'Ur?' asked the boy, his one good eye blurring in and out of focus as he tried to make out the identity of the figure in the distance.

However, before he could get a good look at her, the boy's body was racked by another explosion as the Bureau collapsed in on itself, burying and removing any and all evidence of its existence.

The last thing the boy saw as he fell from his open space was a flash of black, accompanied by a strange-looking shape.

A long, black piece of wood, which seemed to grab him out of the air before darkness consumed him…

Pain.

Fear.

Alarm.

Sickness.

All these things gripped the young boy's body as he found himself returning to consciousness, though not before pain racked his chest, his left arm and his bandaged eye, which was still bandaged. As he whimpered in pain, the boy heard a gasp of shock, accompanied by retreating footsteps and a loud, excitable voice.

"Hey, Gramps! The kid's awake! Come quick!"

As the boy tried to find the strength to sit up, he heard more footsteps running back to him, before he gasped when he heard an older, gruff-sounding voice speaking to him.

"Careful, young man: you took a very nasty fall. If it wasn't for your friend, you'd have probably died."

"My…my friend?" asked the boy, slowly opening his one good eye before he looked up; when he did, the first thing he noticed was that he was lying on a bed, in an ordinary-looking room, with three figures standing around him. One of them was a young man whom looked to be close to a teenager, with bright yellow-coloured hair that was stuck up like lightning bolts on his head, and a pair of fierce, grey eyes that seemed to remind the boy of the colour of stormclouds. On one of his eyes, the older boy had a scar shaped like a bolt of lightning, the sight of which the younger boy found amusing, given how he had a similar scar, but on his forehead.

With him was an elder gentleman dressed in a thick, white coat and light-coloured clothes that he wore underneath his coat, as well as a blue-and-silver badge that had a cross-like insignia engraved into it. The man was shorter than his teenage companion and also seemed to be stern, but with a kind air that he reserved for those whom he called friends or family.

The final member of the trio, however, was the most-mysterious-looking of the group: he seemed to be somewhere between the teenager's age and the old man's, while he was actually taller than the teenage boy. However, apart from whatever told the small boy that he was, indeed, a male person, the mysterious one didn't seem to have any other defining features, save for a mask he wore over his nose, mouth and chin, as well as a black bandana wrapped around his head and long, flowing black clothes that covered every inch of his body. Over his back, the final member of the trio carried what looked like three large pieces of wood, each of which was shaped oddly, but with mysterious intent.

As he saw the small boy looking, the masked man snorted before he nodded, "You're welcome, kid."

His voice was soft and seemed to be distorted by some unknown force, but that didn't stop the small boy from smiling and nodding, even as the mystery man went on, "Well, I'll leave you to the Master's care; see you around, kid."

With that, he seemed to flicker out of existence, earning a scoff from the yellow-haired boy, "I still say he should have joined us, Gramps: with his power, Fairy Tail would have become the best guild in Fiore in no time."

"Everyone has their own path to walk, Laxus," argued the old man, looking from the yellow-haired boy to the smaller boy in front of him, "And it would seem that your friend…Mystogan, I believe, was his name?"

Laxus grunted, but nodded in the affirmative, earning a smile from Gramps, "Mystogan believes you will best discover your path here in Fairy Tail, young one. If you decide to stay, you will have a home, a family and we can train you to use your magic, not for evil, but for the good of the world and to aid those who cannot help themselves."

"I…" the boy began, before Gramps put a finger to his lips.

"No need to respond just yet, my child; first, we'll tend to your wounds. I have a friend who also might be able to help repair the damage done to your eye. And then there's that scar of yours: I sense a great magic inside of it, which might need some additional aid, but, for now, just rest…oh, and how about you tell us your name? Mystogan was rather reluctant to share that particular detail with us."

"Y-y-yes, sir," agreed the boy, gulping softly before he extended his free hand to the man named Gramps – or Master Makarov, as he later learned.

"My name's Harry, sir…Harry Potter."

So, a short opening to the adventure, which also introduces some interesting twists to the tale: for example, how is it that Mystogan was able to rescue Harry and bring him to Fairy Tail?

Also, what sort of effects will the young boy's magic have on FTST and the guild in general, especially with whatever great magics Makarov claims live inside of him?

AN: FT Canon

So, in case you're wondering, YES, I'm altering certain events and characterisations of FT canon, including attitudes of certain characters and mysteries surrounding others; why am I doing this? One answer: fun!

AN2: Mystogan

Also, before any diehard fans out there have a go because of how I'm obviously changing Mystogan in this story, let me just say the overall story has a role for that to play and…well, just keep reading to find out what I have planned;
