Meeting of Knowing the Enemies and Allies
As promise, Sasuke and Masane went to Reiji at his office to tell her about the Cloneblades they've encountered yesterday.
"I see, I knew it was only a matter of time before they started showing their faces to us again." Reiji said with a serious look on his face.
"Masane fought off two of them good, but even so she still would've lost if the battle had gone on longer." Sasuke stated.
"Well, at least she is aware and will be ready next time." Reiji believed.
"Okay, so how about you guys tell me about these Cloneblades. Why did they seem like our Blades?" Masane asked.
"Are you aware of the NswF, right?" Sasuke asked.
"Yeah, aren't they like, the Child Welfare Ministry's boss or something?" Masane tried to remember that right.
Hearing the answer have caused Sasuke and Reiji chuckles for a bit
"It may sound like it, but that's not exactly the word we would put it." Sasuke said.
"Segawa, pull out the files on the Cloneblades for Masane to see." Reiji ordered his right-hand man.
"Yes, sir." Hiroki nodded and pulled out his phone, pressing a certain command and the screen appears on the window behind Reiji.
"TV window, that's very convenient." Masane commented.
"There was a time when the Douji Group and NwsF shared technological information. Together, we succeed in creating the Cloneblade, it is a fusion of our Witchblade research and the NwsF's biotechnology." Hikori revealed showing some pictures.
"While the Cloneblades were based of the Witchblade with the basic structure, they're performance in actual use are actually very less than the originally." Sasuke mentioned.
"Less, that sure didn't feel like less when I had to struggling against two." Masane pointed out.
"Which brings us to the NswF's Neogene Program. They are genetically predisposed to wield the Cloneblade." Hiroki mentioned.
"Neogene?" Masane confused.
"A human subspecies born from Biotech and Sasuke had a history with one of the Neogene as I'm sure you heard during the encounter." Hikori said.
"Oh yeah, that did seem like you knew that white woman." Masane remembered.
"She name is Reina Soho, she is of the more advanced Neogene and said to be the strongest with the code name "Lady" though as for the other three with her, I don't really know since my escape." Sasuke explained.
"Well, judging from the way, she destroyed those X-cons, they must be pretty advanced as well." Hikori stated.
"Wait a minute, were you the ones who called them to take out those X-cons?" Masane asked surprise.
"Of course not, we haven't collaborated with NswF in six years and certainly would never." Reiji answered.
"So, why would they choose to fight them if they didn't have to?" Masane asked, feeling a little confuse right now.
"Because they understand of how the I-weapons worked, how they always seek the strongest opponents, a Neogene is more appealing than a normal human." Hikori explained.
"They also have the similar instinct of craving battle like how the Witchblade and Kingblade react, but one thing we should be careful of is man charge of the Cloneblade and the NswF, Tatsuoki Furumizu." Sasuke warned.
"Yes, that man is determined to acquire the Witchblade and the Kingblade for himself." Hikori said.
"But why? What could he want with both of them?" Masane asked.
"Ultimately, his goal is to unite the Witchblade with one of the Neogene, creating the most powerful human in history and tried to do the same on himself with the Kingblade." Hikori answered.
"Okay, now that's freaky to hear." Masane creeped out a bit.
"And he would've succeeded if I had remained his prisoner in that company of his three years ago." Sasuke said looking mighty angry right now.
"His prisoner?" Masane wondered what Sasuke could mean by that.
"There are rumors going on for some time that the Child Welfare Ministry is just a cover, that Furumizu is using it to select future Neogene candidates." Hikori mentioned.
"Seriously? He's experimenting on those poor kids?" Masane angered of this, would be even angrier if that fate were to happen to Rihoko.
"To be honest, we weren't aware if the rumor was true until Sasuke helped brought that into light." Hikori looked at Sasuke.
"I think it's time I also tell you about my experience with the NswF." Sasuke said with his hands forming tightly into fists.
"In fact, you're also going to learn of how I got the Kingblade." Sasuke started the tell of how he became the host of the Kingblade.
"Whoa!" Masane surprised, feeling like her heart just skipped a beat or something.
(Three Years Ago)
"After I lost my parents in the Great Quake, Uncle Reiji took me in and did his best to raise me while continuing with his work in the Douji Group." Sasuke said.
A 14-year-old Sasuke is seen doing some cool skateboarding moves like doing a spin flip that seems like the board has been spinning about six times and made an epic landing with flipping the skateboard into the air and he catches the board with his hand.
Sasuke turns around to his uncle who was watching the whole thing and claps with a proud smile on his face, and the two got some ice-cream together.
"That was my uncle's day off, so we spend some time together in the park and walked around." Sasuke said.
Reiji and Sasuke sat down on the bench together then the uncle's phone started ringing alerting the man and took it out to see it's coming from Hikori.
"It's from Segawa, I'm gonna have to take this." Reiji said.
"Sure, I'm gonna take a little walk around." Sasuke jumped off the bench and headed off on his skateboard.
"Don't go too far and be sure to come back soon!" Reiji called out for answering the call.
Sasuke skateboard around the park and saw a back alleyway, he decided to try out some cool tricks in getting around tight spaces.
"Might as well give it a try." Sasuke said to himself.
Sasuke roll towards the alleyway fast on his board seeing a trashcan out in the front as he jumps over the trashcan, easily jumping and dodging through some stuff in the way like the large garbage dumpster and with junk as he did a little riding on the wall before jumping to the other side.
However, there were men in black suits walking by with a large briefcase minding their own business and were heading to their car at a parking space to go to a certain location to deliver until Sasuke suddenly jumps in and knocked those men down along with himself.
"Hey, watch where you're going, brat!" One black-suited man yelled.
"Sorry about that, guess I got a little too into skateboarding." Sasuke apologized.
"Be more careful, next time." The other black suit man scolded, then he gasps upon seeing the briefcase is open and its empty too.
"Oh fuck, it's gone!" Black-suited man 2 alerted his co-worker.
"What do you mean it's gone?" Black-suited 1 asked shock.
"It's not in the briefcase anymore! It must've fallen off when the was case open from the crash which force it to pop open!" Black-suited 2 explained.
"Are you fucking kidding me? That case was supposed to be secured tight, how did it open like that?" Black-suited man 1 yelled.
"I don't know, it just happened, okay!" Black-suited man 2 yelled back.
When Sasuke picks up his board and decided to head back to his uncle believing that his call is probably finish by now, he felt something touching his leg and look down seeing a strange looking purple glove with a red jewel at the backhand center.
"What the…?" Sasuke confused as he suddenly feels a strange pull making him go closer to the strange glove.
"It was strange that I happened to stumble upon the Kingblade from simply skateboarding and crashing onto some men, but I never knew they were working for NswF at the time." Sasuke said.
Sasuke moves his left hand toward the glove while the two black-suited men were busy trying to search for the item that somehow fell off the case, they spotted the glove which is that very item they thought they have lost though gasp in horror when they see the kid is about to grab it.
"Wait, kid! Don't touch that!" Black-suited man 1 shouted.
"But I didn't listen as I was only focused on the Kingblade, I felt a voice that it was calling out to me, and my soul was responding to that call." Sasuke described the feeling.
The moment Sasuke's hand made contact to the Kingblade, it started glowing black and purple nearly blinding Sasuke and the two black-suited men for several seconds until the light died down, and now Sasuke is shocked to find the bracelet on him and feel that it's the same glove just a few seconds ago.
"The fuck did you do, kid!" Black-suited man 1 shouted in rage.
"I-I don't know, I'm not even sure what is this thing even is." Sasuke gestured to bracelet.
Sasuke tries to get it off, but it wouldn't budge an inch as it appears to be really stuck on his hand.
"Damn it, what are we going to tell the boss?" Black-suited man 2 asked worry.
"We'll have to take the kid with us, hopefully he won't kill us for letting a kid have the Kingblade." Black-suited man 1 suggested.
"Kingblade?" Sasuke confused and was grab by the men.
"Hey, what are you doing? Get off of me!" Sasuke tried to force himself away from those men, but they were too strong for him to escape.
"We'll just say he's a lost child founded by the NswF." Black-suited man 2 suggested a lie.
"But I'm not a lost child. Get away from me!" Sasuke yelled.
Luckily for him, Reiji is nearby able to hear him scream.
"Sasuke!" Reiji called out and hurry to the other side of the alleyway.
"Let me go, you idiots!" Sasuke angered, fighting against the men's strength as he is getting closer to the car.
"Okay, let's hurry up before anyone comes by to see this." Black-suited man 1 opened the car.
"Uncle Reiji!" Sasuke called out and kicked the man on the shin of the leg causing him to scream in pain.
Sasuke uses this moment of weakness to get away from the men and hopefully meet up with his uncle except the other man grabbed his arm and knocked him unconscious with a punch to the head, he grabs the boy and threw him into the car right when Reiji comes in trying to look for his nephew.
"Sasuke!" Reiji called out, but to no avail as the car drove past him. Unaware that Sasuke is inside.
(NswF Headquarter)
"So, the Kingblade has chosen a host that is not me." Tatsuoki glared at the boy striped onto a table with only his underwear on.
"We're sorry, boss. We don't know how it happened." Black-suited man 1 apologized as he and the other guy bowed their heads on the floor.
"It was weird that the case opens just like that from a little fall like that." Black-suited man 2 said.
"It can only be the Kingblade sensed its host nearby and made the encounter happen." Tatsuoki believed.
"No matter, we'll just have to make the Kingblade give up on the boy and make it come to me by any means necessary." Tatsuoki smirked evilly.
"I was trapped under the thumb of the man for the past month. Every attempt he tried forcing the Kingblade off from me was torture and most would've killed me like any normal man." Sasuke mentioned in an angry tone.
Days after days, Tatsuoki had try everything he could think of to force the Kingblade off from the boy like cutting off his hand except the Kingblade formed the armor on his arm to protect him, and it destroyed the saw and deflected the laser. They tried prying it off with crowbar and some crane machines, but the crowbars would bend becoming useless when use by the Neogene girls and the crane machines would break into pieces.
Then came the more brutal ways such as electrocuting Sasuke with 200,000 volts to kill him for the Kingblade to leave the boy, but Sasuke somehow survives through hours of electrocution, still breathing though badly hurt. Burning him alive, yet the boy remains intact with only little burn marks all over his body, then tried drowning him in very cold water except the Kingblade caused a strong shockwave that pushes the water away from the boy.
"DAMN IT!" Tatsuoki yelled in rage, slamming his fists on the glass.
"Nothing we have done is working, sir. It stands to reason the Kingblade has chosen that boy as the one true host of the power." One female scientist stated.
"I don't care, find a way to remove the Kingblade from that boy! It shall be mine and I will become what I have envisioned!" Tatsuoki angered, believing it's his destiny to have the Kingblade.
Sasuke has been thrown back into the room, he struggles to stand up and fell down again as he looks out the window with the full moon raising.
"I… I can't die, I won't die." Sasuke groaned, trying to stand back up again.
Reina is seen looking through the cell door window, seeing Sasuke is struggling to find a way to break free from this place and she suddenly felt her heart was acting up, like something inside was telling her to help that boy right now. But she couldn't if were to mean going against her father, Tatsuuoki and the rest of her sisters until her Cloneblade is acting up.
The Kingblade started to glow brightly responding to Sasuke's strong will to stay alive and it is also sending a certain single to one other soul, and that soul is Reina as she screams in pain and suddenly transform into her white Cloneblade form almost like something was taking over.
"This feeling!" Reina started to realize that this is coming from Sasuke as she can see him standing back on his feet.
"The Kingblade, he boy is somehow releasing its power!" Reina said before letting out a moan and her heart is racing fast.
Sasuke can feel power coursing through his body and the Kingblade is speaking into his mind, telling him to unleash his power now.
"That old man wants to see this power? Then I'll let him!" Sasuke said.
Sasuke let out a fierce scream and transformed into his Kingblade form for the first time then immediately kick the door down with a single punch, and walk out of his prison to see Reina outside.
"You come to stop me?" Sasuke asked.
"Not exactly, but it looks like I will have to." Reina glared at Sasuke, ready herself for a fight.
Reina charges at the boy throwing some fast-slashing attacks with her arm-blade as Sasuke quickly got on the defense, then parry away one attack and tackle her against a wall.
"You are going to help me get out of here." Sasuke said.
"And why would I do—AAAHH!" Reina moaned all of a sudden, feeling the Kingblade must be taking control of her through her Cloneblade.
"Looks like you don't have a choice." Sasuke glared.
"Reina was always there at the time of my imprisonment though I can tell she never took pleasure of how I was treated, and it looked like the Kingblade may have brought out that inner feeling as well." Sasuke mentioned.
A large explosion happened just outside the NswF building as Sasuke and Reina are seen jumping out and making a run for it.
(Present)
"I was able to escape and made it back to Uncle Reiji as he explained everything to me, about the Kingblade and Witchblade, and all that." Sasuke finished the story.
"Oh man, it's a good thing I don't every want anything to do with NswF consider they tried to take Rihoko away from me." Masane angered.
"It was thanks to Sasuke, we were able to confirm the rumors are true and more cautious about NswF. We've trained Sasuke ever since to be ready to take down NswF, and Tatsuoki." Reiji said.
"Still, it's a surprise that a Cloneblade helped you escaped. It sure would be nice to have an ally like that." Masane stated.
"Funny you should say that, because we happen to have a Cloneblade ally with us right now." Reiji mentioned.
"What? For real?" Masane gasped.
"Yep, it's for real." Tsunade walked in with three girls behind her.
"No, you're a Cloneblade too!" Masane gasped.
"How else did you think I sounded like I know more than I was letting on?" Tsunade grinned as she shows her Cloneblade bracelet.
