Chapter 4 Classes start
Jaune looks around for a bit seeing no one raise their hands, "Guess no one's gonna volunteer might as well" He raises his hand only to feel a bit of fabric touch his shoulder making him turn and see Ren's arm is also up. "Ahh Mr. Arc and Ren, how nice of you both to volunteer for this, now go and change in your combat gear and come down here while I prepare your opponents.
"Ok/mm" answers both boys before standing up and walking to get their combat gear. While they walk well in Ren case hop to the locker room they started to talk.
"Well um how ya been?" The blond asked the hopping zombie who answered with "Good". Leaving the blond just not sure how to even talk "how do I talk with someone who is dead?!" Yells the blond in his head.
"So how do you fight?" Jaune turns around to see Ren in the same outfit from initiation. "Oh thank the brothers" he sighs before adjusting his outfit "I don't really have a specific style, just use the wings to get distance before stabbing with the flaming lance" he grabs said lance and puts it away in his holder. "Hmm I figured, was just making sure, don't worry I won't do anything fancy"
While Jaune fixes his sleeve before starting the fight he could feel a glare towards him. He looks around and sees a few humans and Darkstalkers glaring at him, including his teammate Pyrrha. He sighs before getting into an attack position with both hands on his weapon and having a spread footing for a quick dodge. With Ren doing the same just preparing his hidden weapons.
"Alright students let see what you got" says professor port as he opens the cage and what comes out is. "What is it?" Ask Jaune at the sight of the grimm with the resembling wheels with bones sprouting to make interesting designs with the mask resembling a woman to a concerning level. "These are what's known as Enchants a type of grimm mostly found in Minstrel, they are tricky opponents so I would advise that you proceed with caution as it has many tricks"
The Enchants begin rolling at high speed causing the partners to jump in different directions with Jaune going into the air while Ren goes to the side bringing out his claws and shooting it outward across the arena having the wheel try and run through it before slingshotting it forward as Jaune dives down tries to stab it only for it to split in half and avoid the attack and reconnect itself continuing to roll. "Ahh you've experienced one of the more odd abilities to avoid attacks"
While Jaune and Ren are fighting one of the enchants tries to attack the class but the moment it tries to leave the fight area a magical barrier suddenly appears to stop its movement. Before it split again to dodge a chain attack from Ren.
One of the students a black bunny darkstalker, sighs in relief but quite scooted away from the gorgon royal who just sighs in boredom "Really? This is just a mimicry of our magic but I'm somewhat impressed' thinks the red head as she looks on the fight.
Back with the duo
"Back off!" Screams Jaune as he stabs through one of the two enchants as it was revealed that they can open up the face to show an incredibly hideous face making Jaune refuse to touch it. "Die die die!" Yells the hybrid trying to kill the grim. But suddenly the grim sparks with blue electricity before sending an electric shock to Jaune. In a brief moment you can see him flashing showing off his bones.
He shakes a bit after the shock went away "Ugh Ren did you really have to deal with these things?" He turns his head over only to get smacked in the chest, knocking him out of the air. "Yeah and trust me they are way more annoying when they're in a group" he then grabs one of the enchants before enlarging his claws and smashing it like a bug in between them.
"I was in a village when a whole horde of them came in and it was complete chaos" he sees the other circling around trying to run Jaune over and slams one of his claws into the ground making a ramp that it flies off of and slams right into the magical field. "Thanks man, now let's finish this shall we" He grabs his lance and lights it up while preparing to throw it. "Yeah this thing has had enough fun" he begins spinning his right claw so fast it looks like a small hurricane. "On 3!" The two watch as the enchant begins spinning in place while charging up its electricity "One!" It then opens its mask to reveal a stream of fire "Two!" The enchant finally launches forward at the two "THREE!" The two unleash their attacks with Jaune lance looking like a small comet while Ren claw was surrounded by wind. Both weapons collided with the enchant causing an explosion that covered the whole arena in smoke.
The audience are watching as the smoke starts to clear with people biting their nails, holding pencils tight enough that their knuckles are turning white and holding onto each other. The smoke finally clears and the two are standing in front of a crater with Jaune's lance and Ren's claw inside of it but no trace of the enchant. The crowd erupts into cheers from both the human and darkstalker students with Nora standing on the desk holding flags that says the guys names while Pyrrha's snakes are raised in the air hissing in excitement.
Port just laughs as he sees the combination of attacks "that was some great teamwork you reminded me of the time i and my team split open a hydra grim! Hahah!" He rambles on as Jaune looks at him confused 'Hydra aren't those an endangered species?' He thinks to himself before he continues on his train of thought. In the side lines nora waves a flag... that somehow got bigger with ruby just confused as to how that got bigger and. "What the heck did I get in this uniform!" She yells seeing herself in cheerleader clothes pompoms? Included.
She looks around not seeing her regular uniform and zips out of the classroom. "Ahh that was weird right?" Ren just nods his head before recalling his claw back being Jaune's lance along. "Welp let's go" he begins hopping his way back to the lockers.
"Alright now class the homework for today will be to study the Enchants more alongside other minstrel Grimm, now then the bell should be ringing any moment now" right on que the bell rings as Jaune and Ren come out wearing their uniforms. "So what class do you have now?" Ren just pulls a scroll out of his pocket while hopping along each step. "Oobleck" is all he says before putting his scroll away and grabs his bag. Jaune checks his own scroll "Guess we have the same class again, might as well walk together" with a nod the two begin making way towards their next class.
