Don't hate me, but hear me out
I started this story two years ago with a wondeful idea in mind; to create a totally original yet familiar collection of Steven Universe stories for all to enjoy and to love. Then life happened. I delayed chapter updates, I revised my orignal plans over and over until it's original plans were lost and I've grown so much as a writer that I can't continue this half-baked story. So effective immediately I am putting When Darkness Falls on hiatus indefinitely.
However, this does not mean I'm done writing, far from it. Instead of finishing this story I intend to remaster what I have written - When Darkness Falls and Separate Ways, which are in the same storyline - and implement old plans as well as adding new ones. My writing is stronger, my knowledge of the world larger, and I will do it all within a year from now. I'm a senior in high schol who's gonna be graduating soon so I have a lot on my plate, but I have the sneaking suspicion that if I don't get all these stories out soon, especially when Steven Universe is still a relevant show, then I never will. I can't live like that. I won't.
I have to speak with a friend of mine to see if he will aid me in this new direction. I don't think I can do this without his help.
I assure you that when I do return, your patience will be rewarded with better writing and amazing orignal stories you've never seen before. This is not the end. I'm not ghosting anyone.
