A/N: -This one takes place before Eri finds out's events but is mentioned in Chapter 10: An All Mighty Discussion! /This one-shot can be understood without having read Eri Finds out./

The first book he had gotten, was unintentional. He was out buying some items from the local store after Kamino ward, when he saw it. Near the checkout was a shelf with books on clearance, catching his eye was a book labeled "Even Dummies Can Be Teachers! Easy Education Theory."

He had only meant to simply look a the book, but than he thought about how now that he was retired the only the thing he could do was spread his knowledge to his class. With that in mind, he also thought about how he was new to teaching and wasn't that skilled in the ways of teaching. As more and more thoughts grew about his teaching and mentoring of young Midoriya he found himself slipping the book into his basket.

He didn't read the newly bought book- well not at first. It wasn't till he had been officially moved into the U.A. dorms that he started reading it. The very first night, he had been having trouble falling asleep when his eyes caught sight of the book. With nothing else to do he picked it up and started reading it. He was surprised on how much information he was learning from the book, and before he knew it an entire hour had passed before he realized the time and put the book down for the night.

The next morning he had picked the book back up and started reading again, right up until it was time to head out for the main campus. Finishing up the page he was on, he slipped the book into the back pocket of his pants.

He was delighted to be able to use his learnings from the book, when it came time to help the first year hero courses go over ultimate moves. No one would have to know his sudden teacher knowledge came from a book.

So who could blame him when the next time he went to the store and saw a book about teaching that he purchased it and the next time and the next. Before he knew it he had his own mini collection of guidance books. Those books were his little secret.

Of course little did he know that his collection wasn't as much of a secret as he thought.

The first person to notice said books, was Aizawa during the ultimate move training. After catching All Might with the book sticking out of his pocket he sighed, but didn't mention it. So when Present Mic happened to bring up All Might's sudden acceleration of teaching abilities in a meeting in which the only teacher absent was All Might, who was Aizawa to know the books were a secret. Not that the knowledge that All Might wanted to keep the books a secret would have really stopped him from talking anyway.

All the teachers had a good laugh when hearing about the books, along with Recovery Girl saying, "At least he's improving!"

The other teachers put in their agreement before continuing on with the previous topic in the meeting.

The next person to find the books, actually wasn't a student at all but a little curios girl by the name of Eri.

Eri had been bored with nothing to do but wait for Mirio to come get her. The teachers had left her in the teachers lounge to attend a weekly meeting telling her that her guide to the dorms was running late and would be a few minutes. Though to a girl as young as Eri a few minutes felt like hours so she couldn't help herself when she saw a bright orange object laying on one of the teachers desk.

Now don't get her wrong plenty of the teachers had objects on their desks from all sorts of colors. From frames to mugs, paper to pens, and occasionally a random figure, but this object she found on the desk was different from the rest. For one, she had never seen it before, and for that would have been enough but there was another reason. The book laid on one of the most plainest of desks; a desk that belonged to a skinny man, one who she's heard been praised but could never quite tell why.

So at last Eri walked over to the desk and picked up the book, the cover said "Dumbest of Guides to Master Mentor: Volume 2."

She wasn't quite sure what it meant but the title made her laugh. Just about then the door was flung open. Her hero Lemillion stepping inside, "We have arrived!"

With a closer look she noticed- much to her surprise- that her other favorite hero Deku had also come by.

A thought struck her. Deku had always been close to the twig of a man, maybe he'd understand the meaning of the book. With that goal in mind she strode forward trying her best to put a determined look upon her face. Once reaching her goal she held up the book for Deku to grab. He grabbed it from her hands and asked her, "What is this Eri?"

"I was hoping you could tell me. I found it on the stick mans desk. What does it mean?"

Deku shifted the book before reading the title out loud, " Dumbest of Guides to Master Mentor: Volume 2."

Behind her Mirio let out a small laugh, "You said that belongs to All Might- you know the skinny man?"

She turned around and nodded her head before giving her attention back to Deku again.

"So what does it mean?" Eri asked.

"We-ll... it means he cares? I think he's just trying to improve his teaching methods because he wants only the best for his students." At this point even Deku was having trouble stifling his laughter.

She nodded her head in approval at the explanation before returning the book to the desk. Through the two heroes bounds of laughter they lectured her about not digging through other peoples things without permission.

Soon, without All Might's knowledge the news of the books spread until even the second and third years outside of heroic classes had heard it.

Yet All Might still remained oblivious right up until a student from a second year general education came up to him and asked to borrow a book, saying she wanted to see if being a teacher was something that she would want.

He was startled to hear her talk about his collection of books and when he asked how she knew she looked at him with a weirded out look saying, "What do you mean? Why shouldn't I know? Why, everyone in U.A. knows."

He sent her off with a smile that was slightly off, promising to lend her the requested book. At that moment he started to realize that when he thought he was ever so secretly pulling out one of the books to read all his students would watch with amused faces, a few even letting loose a few laughs.

Later that evening after school had already let out, All Might asked Midoriya to meet up with him. They sat together in a conference room talking about little things about the day until All Might finally brought up why he called him to meet.

"So... I guess the whole school knows about... my... um... educational books." All Might said sheepishly.

Midoriya let out a small laugh before speaking up, "Yeah, it kind of spread around but I first learned after Eri showed me one of your books. I think it's nice that your reading those books in order to be able to help us to learn."

"Yeah... It caught me off guard when a random second year asked me about borrowing one of the books."

He shook his head before speaking up again, "Should of known that people would find out eventually, after all I did read them in front of people."

Oh well, sure it was a little embarrassing for people to learn about him reading books to become a better teacher but he guessed it wasn't that big of a deal. After all the books were helping the students become greater people, who had the right to judge him for helping students become better.
