The UNSC was observing the fight, most of the ground fighting were done thanks to the efforts of the ODSTs they dropped, Lord Hood and Dr Halsey
"Your thoughts Dr Halsey?" Lord Hood asked
"It was an interesting exercise" Halsey said
"And this flying ship?" Hood asked
"I will prove a challenge, but I'm wondering who is that on top of the mast" Halsey said
"Okay so who is she?" Motoyasu asked
"Shield, Spear, Sword and Bow you four must be the heroes of this world" the woman said as she frowned
"We are" Motoyasu said
"Something's not right here" Ren said
"Yeah" Itsuki said
"Very well" the woman said rising her fans. She looked dead on
"GET DOWN!" Naofumi said as she rushed to the front of the group, shielding them from a blast of purple energy
"ENEMY CONTACTED CONFIRMED!" Locke shouted as the UNSC soldiers aimed at the woman
"If she moves an inch, ventilate her" Buck growled.
"You are the heroes of this world yet you had trouble with such a weakling" the woman said "Don't make me laugh" she laughed "There is only one of you here that can be called a hero"
"I don't mean to boast" Motoyasu smirked flipping his hair
"So tell me, what your name is...Shield Hero" the woman said
"Its rude to ask for one's name when you haven't given your own" Naofumi scowled
"Excuse my manners; my name is Glass and I am here to be your enemy" she said opening her fans
"What?" They all asked
"I'm Corporal Naofumi Iwatani, UNSC Armed Forces, ODST Division" Naofumi said as he reloaded his SOCOM M9
"I see, and are these your servants?" she asked
"Did you just call us Naofumi's SERVANTS!" the other heroes said as the prepared their moves
"Stand down now!" Locke ordered
"METEOR SLASH!" "METEOR THRUST!" "METEOR SHOT!" the three attacked, only for their moves to do nothing
"Uh oh" Buck said
"DEPLOY DROP WALLS!" Locke shouted as the SPARTANS threw out a device creating hardlight shields "GET TO COVER!" he shouted.
"What?" Motoyasu shouted as he was dragged into cover by Romeo
"HEY!" Myne shouted as she was tackled by Tanaka as several blades of energy was aimed at them.
"ANY IDEA ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THAT!?" Mickey shouted
"I have one" Naofumi said as he picked up a blue sphere from his shield "HEY GLASS...CATCH!" he shouted lobbing it at Glass who looked at it and smacked it with one of her fans, while she glared at a smirking Naofumi, she looked confused until she noticed a blue glow coming from her fan
"What?" she asked as a blue explosion happened
"Where the gorram hell did you get a plasma grenade?" Dutch asked
"Armoury" Naofumi said
"What was that?" Itsuki asked
"A plasma grenade" Buck said
"Another cheat?" Ren asked
"Are you still treating this like a game? Because IT ISN'T! We were basically conscripted into being these mythical heroes, we didn't get asked, we didn't off we were suddenly there in the throne room, this is a whole other world with different rules then what your world is" Naofumi scowled
"How would you know?" Myne asked
"Because we've seen war princess" Tanaka said
"Ah guys, she's back up" Vale said as a glass bottle rolled towards them
"Health potion" Naofumi scowled.
"So that damage you did was just negated!" Buck shouted
"Great" Locke groaned as he aimed at Glass "Surround her now"
"YES SIR!" they all said as the SPARTANS surrounded her
"Where are the others?" Raphtalia asked
"Cowards bailed" Naofumi said seeing them land on the cliff
"For good reason" Mickey said
"Oh yeah?" Dutch asked pulling out the Spartan laser and aiming at her. "Let's see her dodge this!" he shouted as he fired a red beam at her, Glass glared at it and simply raised a fan, blocking it, giving Vale and Mickey an opening to fire on her.
"Enough of this" Glass shouted sending out a shockwave
"I agree" Naofumi said as he pulled out a tube and rolled it towards Glass
"Get ready" Locke said as the grenade exploded into a cloud of thick black smoked
"GET ON THE TRANSPORT!" Locke shouted as the team charged onto the Pelican while Linda and Kelly take up sharpshooting positions
"FIRE!" Buck snapped as he got into the Pelican.
"AT WHO?" Kelly asked
"HER!" Dutch shouted manning the minigun and firing
"Okay" Linda said unloading her sniper rifle
"Fire in the hole" Kelly said unloading her shotgun
"How long until we're out of range?" Naofumi asked
"Not too long" Echo said as he looked back, making Naofumi do the same.
"AIRSTRIKE SHIELD" Noafumi called out summoning a shield right in front of a purple bolt of energy.
"CLOSE THE HATCH!" Locke ordered
"GOT IT" Echo said as he started to close the hatch when suddenly Glass faded away and the sky became blue
"What just happened?" Vale asked
"The wave's over" Naofumi said
"All UNSC force this is Osiris Alpha, fall back to the Infinity I repeat Fall back to the Infinity" Locke said via comms before looking at Naofumi
"Oh crap" Naofumi said
"Ah Corporal Iwatani" a woman said as she approached the Shield Team
"Dr Knight" Naofumi groaned
"You know what is going to happen now don't you, considering the rage shield" Knight said
"Yeah, yeah psyche eval" Naofumi said
"Yes, please follow me" she said
"So why is an ONI shrink evalling me?" Noafumi asked
"We've noticed that adrenaline of the rage shield is interacting with your PTSD in a negative light, so I'm on hand via the top brass to give you counselling" Knight explain
"I'm fine" Naofumi said
"Indeed, pointing a gun at the princess' head and thinking she's an Elite is sane" Knight said
"Hey she's a bratty bitch" Naofumi exclaimed
"You're experiences with her before our arrival came have not of been pleasant" Knight said
"She accused me of" Naofumi snapped
"Assault of an intimate nature, yet you say she was getting intimate with the Spear Hero correct?" she questioned
"Yeah" Naofumi said
"Clearly she's wasn't assaulted" Knight smiled "So tell me was there anything else you figured out about this event?'
"I'm sorry" Naofumi said
"Shall we move onto the king before you go meet with him" Knight asked
"No" Naofumi said
"Don't worry Corporal I'll be going with you so I will be able to do my boogeyman schtick" Knight smiled
"Oh great" Naofumi groaned
"You're being an ONI psychologist along?" Dutch asked
"Lord hood's orders" Buck said
"This ought to be fun, is she the party trick?" Mickey asked
"You could say that, she coming with us could give us the advantage" Buck said
"Meaning?" Romeo asked
"She can read the king" Buck said
"Good idea" Dutch said
"Hopefully we can understand what the heck is going on here' Buck said.
"This is a bad idea" Naofumi said as he and the rest of his team were boarding a Pelican clad in their dress whites
"Smile will you, this is going to be a peaceful transaction where we will go and talk with King Aultcray and sort some things out" Bernie said in her own dress uniform while carrying her cover, "And you tie is crooked" she said making the other laugh
"Okay I get it" Naofumi said as he straightened it
"So think we're going to get things fixed?" Romeo asked
"No idea" Knight said cleaning her glasses
"Either way it's going to be trouble" Buck said
That afternoon the UNSC delegation arrived on the planet, they noted that there were several guards there looking at them
"Anybody bring any armaments?" Joe asked
"Not funny" Buck said as they walked into the throne room, he then turned to Naofumi "Smile while we still have something to smile about"
"We're going to see the man who ruined my life here" Naofumi said as he checked his hat
"Look we're here to see if we can change things" Buck said as he looked around
"Got enough guards?" Dutch asked
"They're nervous" Mickey said
"Don't see why" Romeo said
"The king will see you now" a guard said
"Thank you" Buck said leading the group in.
Once the entered the throne room, they immediately noticed that Aultcray was not in a good mood, and that Ren, Itsuki and Moronyasu were there as well
"My, oh my. The three other heroes, the spear hero Motoyasu Kitamura, Ren Awase and Itsuki Kawasumi" Dr Knight said
"Hey there" Motoyasu said
"Hello, so judging by what I just heard, you're a playboy friendly to everyone especially the woman hence the full women team who just stay on the sideline and cheer for you like cheerleaders" Knight said
"Maybe" Motoyasu said
"Also you like to make sure the darker ones are kept at arm's length since I'm guessing you hooked up with multiple women at the same time and one of them tried to kill you, but you got summoned here saving your life" Knight continued before turning to Ren. "High schooler" she smiled before becoming serious "a cool guy, but a major lone wolf; one who is not use to being in a team that is why you try and do everything by yourself, but you are learning to open up plus you are more than willing to see the truth about matters" she said hugging the boy "And finally Itsuki Kawasumi, bullying victim, so you try and make yourself seem special and an ally of justice even though it is misguided" she said "But given you're the youngest it's a given"
"How do you know that?" Itsuki asked
"Maybe I'm Psychic" Knight smirked
"What?" Motoyasu asked shocked
"I'm not psychic, but I do deal with the mind, I'm Professor Melinda Knight of the ONI's Psychology department" Knight smiled
"ONI?" Motoyasu asked
"Office of Naval Intelligence" Knight saluted making the other heroes nervous
"Now to business" Aultcray said
"Yes your majesty" they said
"I want to open our discussion about this" Aultcray said as he showed the battle where Naofumi used his Shield of Wrath "How is it you came upon this power?"
"Usually we would say classified and be done with it, but for some reason I don't think you'll take that answer will you?" Naofumi asked glaring at the king
"We believe that it was unlocked when Naofumi's anger hit a certain point, a breaking point if you will. In doing he unlocked that shield of his. Now I believe that considering it is based upon Wrath or rage that it could be linked to a phenomenon called the seven deadly sins, what many of our sins consider the more grievous sins to commit. Along with six other: Pride, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth and Greed" Knight said
"I see" Aultcray said "Still it is a power unbecoming of the shield hero" he said
"You got that right" Motoyasu muttered
"Now I believe we have a topic we would like to discuss" Buck smiled before becoming serious: The sham of a trial you gave Naofumi"
"WHAT!" Aultcray cried out "HE ASSAULTED MY DAUGHTER!" the king bellowed
"Yet, she was okay enough to go to another hero when she would have usually been avoidant of all men" Buck said
"Plus where was the evidence of his crimes?" Knight asked
"What?" Aultcray asked
"Lady what are you talking about?" Motoyasu asked
"I'm talking about the physical evidence. Did she display the physical signs of that kind of assault, was there bruising, any bleeding?" Knight asked
"The princess' clothes were ripped" Itsuki said disdainfully
"So a woman can't tear her own clothing?" Knight asked "But hey she's the princess and she can't be accuse of falsehoods now can she?"
"You know ever since we got here, everything praise worth has been the three heroes of the spear, sword and bow. Yet the Shield is also one of the great heroes, but he gets treated like trash" Buck frowned
"Its because he deserves to, after all he's nothing but a devil" Myne said
"And thus appears the guilty party" Knight smiled
"What are you talking about" Myne said flipping her hair
"Tell me, did he assault you before or after you administered this" Knight said holding up a small bottle
"What is that?" Ren asked
"This young man is a bottle of Elder Shade, a magically enhance sleeping draught, it was made to enhance the taste of anything its added to as well as make a person fall asleep. But after it is in the system, it stays there for awhile making it so the victim loses all sensation of taste" Knight said "and we found traces of it inside Naofumi's blood" Knight said
"What?" Aultcray asked
"You mean he was drugged?" Ren asked shocked looking at Myne
"he took after he assaulted me, to make him seem innocent" Myne said
"You conniving" Naofumi snarled
"We're done here" Buck frowned shocking everyone "I'm sorry your highness but something dire has come up"
"What?" Knight asked
"I see" Aultcray said
"I'm sorry we couldn't get to the bottom of this situation peacefully. Perhaps another time" Buck said as the UNSC team saluted
"Indeed, until then" Aultcray said as they left.
"Not that went too badly; but that girl is trouble" Dutch said
"No kidding" Romeo said
"So what is the situation that we needed to address?" Noafumi said as the team headed to a part of the forest inside the razorback, after half and hour's travle Buck stopped and got out
"This" Buck said as he showed them the corpses of an exploration team "A group of scientists were murdered" Buck said
"By who?" Naofumi asked
"Try and guess" Dutch scowled as a pair of bloodied swords were thrown to the ground
"The King" Naofumi seethed.
"SHIELD HERO?" the voice of melt shouted out
"Great just what we needed" Naofumi said
"We'll get this back to the Infinity" Buck said
"I'll meet with the second princess" Naofumi said walking off with Filo and Raphtalia
"Romeo" Buck said
"Following them sir" Romeo said.
G'day Guys Grizz here and so that was the first encounter with Glass as well as the end of the wave and a partial meeting with the King, I figured since I've got Naofumi having a sort of PTSD I figured we better have a character that dealt with that kind of thing which is why I created Dr Knight, also she will be important in what I'm calling the Church Rebellion arc which will be where the action is so expect a rating rise. And trust me that is going to be a bit of fun
