At Camp Castaway, Ash and Pikachu were sitting at their hut. Currently Ash is speaking with Rotom through his Ultra Communicator.
Ash: We're almost finished with the Ultra Zip Ripper. All we need is one more part left.
Rotom: That's great news! Oh, and Ash, there someone who wants to speak with you!
Ash was surprised at that, until appearing on the screen was none other than Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles.
Everyone: Alola, Ash!
Ash: Everyone, Alola!
Ash was happy to see his friends from the Alola Region.
Ash: How are you guys doing?
Kiawe: We were doing our job as Ultra Guardians to help the people of Alola since all these crazy things happened.
Mallow: It wasn't easy, but we had the help of both the Island Guardians and the Kahunas.
Sophocles: But then we heard from Rotom that you and a few others ended up in another world! That 's so amazing!
Lana: Yeah… you went to another world again… without us…
Lana was bumped out as before Ash and Pikachu left Alola, they went on an adventure in another world with Nebby aka Solgaleo, and now it happened again.
Mallow: Calm down, Lana. So, how are things going at your side?
Ash: While we're almost finished with the Ultra Rip Zipper, the Myrmec Queen asked our help to deal with King Gorge.
Kiawe: King Gorge? What did he do?
Ash: He built a dam to stop the river water, so the Florians can only drink the ooze instead.
Ash classmates were shocked to hear that.
Lana: That's awful!
Sophocles: If what Rotom told is correct, anyone who's come in contact with the Ooze will be under the control of that Mawgu guy?
Ash: That's about it.
Serena: Ash!
Ash looked down from the cliff as he saw Serena calling him.
Serena: The Myrmec Queen is calling us! It 's time!
Ash: Got it! I have to now, guys!
Kiawe: Good luck, Ash!
With that, the call ended as Ash and Pikachu went down with the others. At the beach they met the Myrmec Queen along with Goh, Serena, and May.
Myrmec Queen: Chosen Ones, we're ready to leave. My Commando Bugs will carry you.
The one the Myrmec Queen was one giant Bug that's carrying a basket underneath it.
Ash: Whoa! That is one giant Bug!
Pikachu: Pika!
The team then climbed on the basket as the Myrmec Queen spoke to them.
Myrmec Queen: Good luck, Chosen Ones! All the Florians are counting on you!
And with that the Commando Bug started to beat his flyings and fly up along with his passengers, as they all headed to put an end to King Gorge's corrupted will.
After a while of flying, the four Chosen Ones passed by the Florian Village, which is in the same bad state as the forest they previously went to.
Goh: Hey guys, look down there.
Ash and Pikachu and saw a river of Ooze that went straight towards the village.
Ash: We're getting close.
The Commando Bug reached the end of the river, where the dam holding the water stood. And near the dam on top of the river of ooze, was what looked like some sort of giant cabbage.
The Commando Bug landed as the Chosen Ones got. They then called out their Pokémon; Lucario, Cinderace, Braixen, and Blaziken. The Commando Bug then flew away as the kids stood battle ready and faced the monstrous form of King Gorge.
Serena: King Gorge! Stop this madness! Release the water and save your people!
King Gorge: Hah! The so-called "Chosen Ones".
The leaves moved away as the cabbage-like form opened up to reveal King Gorge, who's a large plant-like head with a wide mouth with small sharp jaws, his eyes and the insides of his mouth glowed purple with Ooze, and on top of his head was his crown.
King Gorge: My master, the all-mighty Mawgu! Who rules from the volcano, demands that all must become one with the ooze! Submit!
As he spoke with emphasis, he didn't notice the swarm of Bug soldiers that landed on the dam. Their mission was to destroy it while the Chosen Ones distract the King.
Ash: No way! We're ending this now!
King Gorge: Not if I end you first!
King Gorge then closed himself inside his leaves again as he sprouted four vines beneath the ooze, which then hit the purple liquid and vines themselves went straight after the Chosen Ones.
Ash: Look out!
The kids and their Pokémon dodged away, but the vines followed them. They all dodged again as they scattered in different directions but the vines split and continued attacking them.
Ash: This is just like Frenzy Plant!
Serena: Braixen, use Fire Blast!
Braixen: Brai!
Igniting her stick, Braixen unleashed a star shaped blast of fire that destroyed the vine that chased her, which made King Gorge let out a pained roar. This also made the leaves cover them to lower a little.
King Gorge: (Pained Roar)...!
Goh: That's it! We have to destroy the vines!
May: Alright, Blaziken, use Blaze Kick!
Blaziken's feets lit on fire as he kicked the vine and destroyed it. Goh and Ash did the same as they ordered their Pokémon to use Pyro Ball and Iron Tail, destroying the rest of the vines.
King Gorge: (Roar)...!
Feeling the pain of his vines, King Gorge roared as the cover leaves were not only lowered enough to reveal his face, but also made a bridge for them to climb.
Ash: Alright! Go, Lucario!
Lucario quickly ran on the leaves and went straight towards King Gorge's head.
King Gorge: Don't get cocky!
King Gorge opened his mouth wide and released a stream of ooze that covered Lucario… until he disappeared.
King Gorge: What?!
Ash: He fell for the Shadow Clone! Now go, Lucario!
Jumping at the other side of King Gorge was the real Lucario. Just when King Gorge turned to him, Lucario landed his paw on his head and unleashed a close-range Force Palm!
King Gorge: GRAAAH!
May: Your turn, Blaziken!
Blaziken fell from the sky and delivered a chop kick on King Gorge.
As the battle went on the Bugs were making progress at breaking the dam as water started to leak.
Blaziken and Lucario continued attacking King Gorge as Cinderace came to join in.
King Gorge: Get off me!
The corrupted King closed the leaves around himself again, which expelled Lucario out of him.
Ash: Lucario!
Ash grabbed Lucario before he landed painfully on the ground.
King Gorge: You welps! I wouldn't make the same mistake twice!
Goh: We aren't too worried about that.
King Gorge: Huh?
King Gorge was confused at that until he heard something above him. He looked up and saw it was Blaziken who jumped into the air just in time before the leaves closed. And holding on to him was Cinderace.
May and Goh looked at each other as they both were thinking the same thing.
Goh: Cinderace, use Pyro Ball!
May: Blaziken, help him!
Both Pokémon looked at each other as they nodded. Cinderace created his Pyro Ball and he kicked it together with Blaziken. The force of their kicks sent the fireball straight at King Gorge and exploded, causing the leaves to unfurl from him.
King Gorge: (Pained Roars)...!
Back with Bugs, they almost finished breaking the dam.
King Gorge: Why you…! Graaaah!
King Gorge started spitting Ooze everywhere as he started going out of control.
Ash and Serena knew it was their turn now.
Serena: Braixen, use Fireblast!
Ash: Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Lucario, Aura Sphere!
Both Pokémon unleashed their attacks together as it combined into one. The Thunderbolt merged with the Fireblast with the Aura Sphere in the center. King Gorge unleashed another stream of ooze to counter the attack, but was eventually overpowered as the attack made contact with him and exploded. The others waited until they heard the weakened voice of King Gorge as the smoke cleared, revealing that the King's head had shrunken.
King Gorge: Chosen Ones… did you really think that you can defeat me?!
Goh: Oh we didn't have to defeat you, we had to distract you!
King Gorge: Distract me? Why would you… wait…
His confusion turned into realisation as he turned towards the dam. But it was too late as the Bugs succeeded in breaking the dam as they flew away, just in time for the dam to break and all the water fell on King Gorge.
King Gorge: GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Lucario and Cinderace high fived at their success. King Gorge's head then detached as it was taken by the water, until he turned back into a smaller form.
He crawled out of the water and revealed to him a simple plant creature with four leaf-like legs and two arms. The crown was in his head.
The former corrupted King of the Florians fell unconscious as the others approached him.
Back at Camp Castaway, the kids brought the uncorrupted King Gorge to treat him. When he woke up, everyone saw he had been freed from the Mawgu's control. Now they were talking with the Myrmec Queen as she wanted to thank them for all their help.
Myrmec Queen: We are in your debt, Chosen Ones! Thanks to you, our people will have peace once more.
A remorseful King Gorge addressed the Chosen Ones as well.
King Gorge: Please… you must stop the Mawgu! He is the cause of all this evil. Perhaps… this… will help you…
Beside him was a Microwave, the last piece they were looking for.
May: That's it! This is the last piece we need to finish the Ultra-Rip-Zipper! Now we'll show that Mawgu who he's messing with!
Ash agrees with her.
Ash: Yeah. It's time we bring the fight to the Mawgu.
He looked at the top of the volcano, which the swirling storm now turned into an ominous purple color.
