Sorry folks but I ran out of muses for this one-shot ideas and calling it dead.
Hope you all enjoyed it while it lasted.
So some snippet of the possible chapter I intended to write but stopped.
1980
Mount Rushmore
Kallen brought up her radiant surge claw and projected a barrier to block a heat ray cannon fired at her Guren, the yellowish light of a heat ray cannon failing to penetrate through her claw's radiant barrier. But the red-haired woman of the other world knew if she was in her older model Guren than she would've been toast. She didn't fully know what they made their knightmares out of but even with a 9th-gen unit lacking a flight module, their 7th-gen units were not a joke to fight against as exemplified by the bulky, dominating silver-colored Reich machine in front of her.
She retaliated by firing her radiant surge claw at the silver knightmare, who narrowly dodged the beam of death while its advanced EM armor protected it from a glancing blow. Though the same couldn't be said for the machines behind it as several green-grey Japanese Heisotus, German Ritter IIs, and other vehicles were caught up in the beam. The resulting explosions erupting behind the silver knightmare made its silhouette and appearance all the more intimidating.
The redhead narrowed her eyes at the infamous EiR-X1 Beowulf, the premier 7th-generation prototype and one of the Greater German Reich's greatest symbols of power. The hulking silver KMF covered in heavy armor was a visually intimidating design, and in contrast to the Lancelot's knightley and graceful look the Beowulf reflected a more vicious and brutal look fitting of the faction it served. She heard her cockpit beep receiving an encrypted communication signal from it, which after some thought she decided to open it up. The Guren's cockpit screen displayed the face of a sharp-looking blond man in his late-20s with dark eyes and a proud look on his face.
Hauptmann Erik Wolff, the Silver Wolf of the Reich, and the famed ace devicer of the EiR-X1 Beowulf. From what Kozuki heard of him he was one of the greatest if not the best KMF devicer of the Reich, often hailed as the exemplary Aryan (an ideal she came to despise) man. As well as the personal rival to her deceased counterpart whose identity she took over as her own.
"Guten Tag, Straussman. It's good to see you alive and well, the news of your death must have been exaggerated." Wolff greeted her with a genuine smile as if greeting some old friend. "It would've been a shame if one of us actually died before we finished our match together. Also what a fine knightmare you have with you, fits you if you ask me."
"Thank you for the compliment Wolff, but I'm not in the mood for chit-chat." She responded back.
"Ah, right to the action as usual, Straussman." Wolff smirked as he charged the Beowulf forward at such speed to make the Lancelot or Guren be full of envy and MVS swords ready to draw blood.
He slashed at her side but Kozuki parried the sword with her fork knife. Undeterred, the silver KMF launched its slash harkens aimed at her KMF's head, but Kozuki reversed back and launched her own harkens which intercepted them. She fired radiant discs at the silver KMF who banked left and right and spinned around them with mobility that was deceived by its bulk. Once it turned to face her he drew his heat ray blaster and fired at her, sending beams of heat rays at Kallen who dodged all of them.
She retaliated back by jumping over the Beowulf to strike at its flank or rear before it could react, yet the Beowulf managed to respond in time to block the dagger. The duel turned into a furious storm of brutal close-quarters combat: both machines attempting to strike against each other while making every effort to deflect and dodge each other's range or melee attacks. Kozuki cursed as one of the Beowulf's slash harkens grazed the side of her torso shredding off some armor plating, which she returned by inflicting a nasty gash on its chest armor.
"Fierce as always, Straussman. Truly a lovely woman such as you could achieve the title of Rotter Ace." He complimented, backing away in time to avoid being grasped by the radiant surge claw before firing his torso heat ray cannon.
"You know I really don't like pushy guys." Kozuki sardonically responded back as she somersaulted over the beam and launched a radiant disk at the Beowulf, whose EM armor allowed Erik to deflect the attack though at the sacrifice of his left shoulder EM armor and the pauldrons.
An Arngrim colored in light grey then charged at her alongside a pair of Japanese Heisotu KMFs, desiring the glory of killing the famous Crimson Tiger of America. Kozuki quickly dispatched the two Japanese KMFs, slashing through the torso of one unit and the head of the other before launching a harken through its power drive, and backed away to see them explode. Kozuki looked on with disapproval knowing even if the devicers wanted to eject, the Empire of Japan never built one to their frames, seeing such things as cowardly and dishonorable.
Seeing its distraction dead, the 8th-generation German KMF fired two beams from its heat ray blaster at Kozuki, who either blocked them with her radiant barrier or simply danced through the heat rays. She retaliated by throwing a disk of radiant energy at the Arngrim which tore through its heat ray blaster and the arm holding it, dodging the attack by seconds which could've ripped through its torso. The 8th-gen unit drew out its MVS axe in time to parry a fork knife attack from the Guren before launching its harkens to dissuade her from grabbing it with her surger arm. Yet Kallen simply jumped over the Arngrim, landing behind the 8th-gen unit and instantly turned to grab its cockpit before unleashing radiant energy upon it.
After backing away from the doom Arngrim, the Guren's sensor started to beep as Kallen barely backed her Guren away to evade a high-velocity round that nearly penetrated through the torso. Kozuki glanced to her right while evading a blade thrust from the Beowulf to see a Guren-like machine but with a Gekka-like head armed with a large-caliber sniper rifle attached to its back and an RBS katana on its left hand. A part of Kallen Kozuki's heart was disheartened knowing she was fighting the counterpart of her brother, Colonel Naoto Musashi, yet she continuously reminded herself that Musashi wasn't her brother in blood or spirit. Still it wasn't exactly easy to cope with to be fighting someone with her brother's face on it Kozuki thought to herself as she evaded several more attacks from either Colonel Musashi and Erik while counterattacked best as she could; finding herself sandwiched between two aces and their personal forces who were laying the heat on her. Making sure she was pinned by overwhelming numbers and attacks thrown upon her.
"So this is the Crimson Tiger, it must be my lucky day." She heard him through the comms as he readied his sniper rifle at her and fired, forcing her to dodge the high-velocity rounds as well as other enemy fire thrown at her. Along with the Beowulf engaging her at the same time which made everything difficult for her between fighting her opponent or dodging enemy attack.
Kallen gritted her teeth as she parried back the Beowulf's MVS blade before firing a radiant beam at Musashi's custom Hanabira who evaded the beam swiftly. All the while she could make out the distant silhouette of the black and gold colored custom Minutemen KMF engaging in a fierce battle against the dark purple and black striped EiR-X0 Loki. Kozuki couldn't feel anything but great horror and denial of who Lelouch Noire was fighting against and was his bitter enemy; and even though she long accepted the possibility of meeting counterparts of people she knew back at her world wouldn't be good or what she expected… Yet the Reich devicer and officer Lelouch Noire – the man she was slowly falling in love with – was fighting against was too much for her to comprehend or even reconcile no matter what.
The monster, no the devil that wore the face of a girl who desired a peaceful, gentle world for everybody and an end to the violence. Someone who sesawe the best in others and a smile that brought about the best in others, and worked hard to maintain the peace her brother sacrificed for. Not that mockery of a human being that stood as the personification of the Reich's evil and like the devil himself walking upon the mortal world spreading his cruelty to all. Yet a corner of her mind darkly mused that it was fitting if the counterpart of Nunnally Vi Britannia was someone who was her antithesis in every manner.
Monica's light green and yellow striped GAI-11 Brave high-mobility/stealth KMF danced through the battlefield alongside her husband's black and white GAI-16/H1 Minutemen Heavy danced alongside her, seemingly skiing through the ground like dance partners on an ice rink. Two Ritter II assault types tried to intercept the duo to no avail as Orpheus obliterated one with his back-mounted Arc cannon, while Monica spun her KMF around the last one where she bisected it in half before firing her wrist arc blasters at the remains.
"This doesn't look too good, right Orphy?" Monica called out to her husband, slashing through the cockpit of a Heisotu with her arc blade. She turned her high-mobility KMF around to shoot down a pursuing VTOL with her underwrist-mounted arc blaster.
"Sure thing honey, too much Krauts and Japs for my taste." Orpheus replied, parrying a shotlance away from him before launching his harkens to force the Ritter II to eject. He then leveled his assault rifle and some missiles that detonated a pair of Type-68 Amphibious tanks.
Few more enemy KMFs tried to intercept them as well as some armored vehicles, but they fell before the Dancing Duo of the Black Knights. Their combined cunfire and melee attacks reduced them to a pile of fiery scrap metal. Following behind them were several Jeffersons, a pair of M53 Patton tanks, and a pair of Cherokee VTOL gunships providing support and pushing against the invaders. And to the relief of the ground pounders a A-8 attack jets swooped in for a attack run firing guns, missiles, and bombs unto a large formation of enemy forces, reducing many of them into burning scrap pile before fleeing away as Reich jets came in to intercept American jets.
The husband and wife team grimaced at the air battle above as American F-4 Phantom fighters dueled against Ju-228 strike fighters. Explosions littering the sky with missile detonations and exploding aircraft as the older fighters fought as much as they could against the more advanced fighters. And those not engaged in air combat bombed the mountain and the base's defense while struggling through anti-air fire. Yet the air war wasn't on the defender's side as they saw a newly introduced Hel-class Aerial Cruiser looming in the distance above, its four heat ray cannons periodically bombarding targets of opportunity. Thankfully it was being distracted by an elite squadron of newly created F-22 fighters and a boarding team led by Gottwald undertaking a plan only Noire's crazy mind could think of.
Monica then encountered a trio of Heisotu about to gang up on an ejected cockpit bloc whose occupant was desperately trying to escape. Snarling at this sight the blond pushed her sleek looking Brave KMF, whose blistering speed outright comparable to the Freedom to run circles around them before the Brave closed in. Bisecting one through the chest and cockpit with its arc blades, the second one she blasted apart with her wrist-mounted arc blaster, and the final one who tried to slash at her flank which she spun around to stab the last Heisotu through the cockpit.
"So much for your samurai warrior BS." Monica mocked, throwing the disabled frame at a group of Japanese soldiers, crushing their bones and flesh.
Meanwhile Orpheus dashed aside to allow a charging Ritter II assault unit to zoom past him, and at the same time he drew out his arc blade to slash apart the cockpit. The custom, monochrome Minutemen Heavy turned around to face his shoulder shields to absorb rocket fire from an infantry unit with heavy weapons. He let out an eye roll as he gunned down the enemy infantry with his chest-mounted MGs before moving on to his next targets, which to his surprise was a E-108 Super-Heavy tank.
The massive tank fired its fearsome twin 155mm cannon whose HE shells destroyed a pair of tanks and a group of American knightmares, and its lesser weapons firing at other enemy units forcing them back. Orpheus knew that while the E-108 was a bit dated in the current age, the firepower it had if left unchecked would be a major danger he couldn't ignore. Of course just as he finished that thought the super-heavy tank's attention fell onto him, immediately training its secondary weapons at him recognizing the 8th-gen KMF and its device's threat level.
"Guess you know your oversized armor can't take the heat." Orpheus referred to his KMF's arc cannon which current armor tech that wasn't LRP or EM armor would fold like a wet cardboard box.
As long as he made it to the range without getting blasted by it which he doubted he could've done in his old Jefferson.
Orpheus jumped into action, banking and evading the incoming storm of machine gun rounds, rockets, and some 155mm shells. All of which he barely managed to dodge, pushing his KMF to the limit in which he felt the munition shockwave through his cockpit, making him grit his teeth from the shaking. Then he turned his Minutemen Heavy to twist around a autocannon fire where he reached the sufficient range to aim his arc cannon and fire. A bolt of blue electrical-like energy shot straight through the super-heavy tank's armor, detonating its engine and ammunition causing it to erupt like a volcano.
"A super-heavy tank served medium well." Orpheus quipped before rejoining his comrades, casually one-shotting the head of a charging Ritter II with his rifle's GL.
