A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of the Godzilla Meet The Civilians fanfic. So first before I get started, happy September. And I know I suck at updating because I start my first year of university in the next couple of weeks, and I have to get things ready. Second, I want to thank everyone for the 18k views because that shows you guys are really showing your interest in this story since I wrote acts one and two. Anyway, this is chapter forty and this is the chapter you guys have been waiting for from me. In this chapter, Will and his companions break into the destroyed Apex facility and they discover a secret bunker underneath the destroyed facility. Hope you guys will like this chapter, and here we go.

Apex Cybernetics Facility, Pensacola, Florida, May 19th, 2024

Avoiding the officers patrolling around the area of the destroyed facility, Will and his three companions snuck past the unsuspicious officers as they avoided stepping on a debris and alerting anyone about their presence. Passing more debris, Will kept watch on anyone who would spot them for an unacceptable breaking and entering, as well as trespassing.

"So, what's the plan?" asked Maddie.

"We found out what's on Sublevel 33." Bernie simply replied.

"Ow." Josh muttered as he accidentally kicked a bottle.

"Keep it moving, tap water." Bernie ordered.

"Stay quiet, because the last thing we don't need is make anyone suspicious of us trepassing a destroyed facility." said Will.

"Go ahead." Bernie said to his companions.

Reaching to the end, they find a entrance that leads inside the facility.

"Anyone want to go first?" asked Will.

"All right, Mad Hatter. Down the rabbit hole." Bernie said to Maddie.

"Okay. We got this." said Bernie as he slid down the hole.

"My turn." said Will as he slid down the hole next.

Entering the destroyed facility, lights were flickering as Bernie got to work on the damaged lock that leads to a hallway. Getting the lock to work, the door opened.

"Okay, come on." said Bernie.

Following Bernie, the lights flickered off as electricity crackled, startling Josh.

"Josh, stop being jumpy. Let's keep moving." said Will.

"This whole thing came down, and there was this..." Bernie started as he now looked at an empty storage room.

"...eye." Bernie finished.

"Uh, what are we looking at?" asked Josh.

"No, no, no, no. No, it was here." said Bernie, not understanding what was going on.

"I swear to God, it was... it was right there." Bernie finished.

"They must've moved it somewhere, otherwise we came here for nothing at all." said Will as he looked around.

"Hey, guys." Maddie called to her male companions as she pressed an elevator button.

"Anyone know where this leads to?" she asked as she stepped in.

"I guess we're about to find out. Let's go." said Will as he and his companions followed her.

Boarding the elevator, the four of them had hoped they would find the answers.

"Sublevel 33." the female automated voice announced as the elevator doors opened.

"What the hell is this place? A secret bunker?" asked Will.

"What is all this?" asked Maddie.

"It's a breakway civilization." Bernie replied.

"So this is what Apex has been doing. Right under our noses. After Godzilla destroyed the facility a few days ago." Will muttered.

"Doctor Carter. If this is really true, we need to find out what they're up to." said Maddie.

"I couldn't agree with you more, Maddie." Will agreed.

Will couldn't believe that after a few days of Godzilla attacking and destroying the facility, there was a secret bunker hiding underneath the facility and continued their work while avoiding suspicion.

"Apex, whatever you're up to, I will find out and I will do everything to expose you and your employer Walter Simmons not to the public, but to the government." Will muttered to himself.

"Someone's coming." said Maddie.

"What?" asked Bernie as he was interrupted while talking to himself.

"Someone's coming." Maddie repeated.

"Someone's coming?" asked Josh.

"Yes!" Maddie replied.

"Guys! In here!" Will called as he and the others entered what appears to be a room.

"Oh, my God." Maddie spoke.

"Maddie, what's wrong?" asked Will, concerned.

Maddie didn't answer him and Will's shocked expression says it all.

"Skull-crawler eggs." Will muttered.

"What's Apex doing with skull-crawlers?" asked Maddie.

"That's what I would like to know." Will replied.

"All right, let's load up!" one of the men ordered as a door closed behind the group.

"What was that? What was that?" asked Bernie, panicked.

Without any warning, an engine hummed in the background.

"No way. No, no, no. Come on." said Bernie.

"Okay, guys, I think we're moving." Josh pointed out.

"No shit!" Will cursed.

"It says we're headed to Apex headquarters in Hong Kong." Josh commented.

"What?" asked Maddie.

"Hong Kong. That means that we're gonna get some answers." Bernie replied.

"Looks like we're going to Hong Kong." said Will.

The cargo's engines thrummed as it accelerated down the tunnel.

"Here we go." said Maddie.

Almost half an hour later, most of the group had fallen asleep during the trip. Will laid on his back as he tried to go to sleep. But he couldn't help but think about who had ordered the car crash that killed Bee's parents.

"Bernie, about the USB drive you had on you, was there any other information relating to what Apex's been doing under the government's noses?" asked Will.

"Well, they've been committing terrible crimes such as genocide, corruption, conspiracy, you name it." Bernie replied.

"I think we can use the information to expose Apex to the public. But once we find out what they're up to and why Godzilla's been attacking." said Will.

"That's not gonna work, Doctor Carter. The public and the government isn't going to believe everything that's on the USB drive." said Josh.

"Unless if Bernie is willing to testify against Apex." said Will.

"Doctor Carter, about Doctor Taylor's parents. How did they die?" asked Maddie.

"They were killed in a car crash. The police apprehended the driver and brought him in for questioning, but he refused to say who had told him to do it. And Doctor Taylor had spend some time crying and mourning. That's why I want to find out who did it." Will replied.

Will hoped he would find out who the perpetrator is, and get justice not only for Bee, but for her parents who had lost their lives.

And that would be the end of the chapter for today. So, what do you guys think? The death of Bianca's parents is no longer an accident. Who is the suspect that's responsible for asking the driver to carry out an order? You guys will have to find that out in the next few chapters. In the next chapter, Bee and Sony head to Antarctica with their companions to find the entrance to Hollow Earth and discover the Hollow Earth Aerial Vehicles.
