A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of the Godzilla Meet The Civilians fanfic. So first, before I get started, I hope you guys are continuing to stay safe out there, taking care of your physical and mental health, and making time to check with your friends and your family. And second, happy November. Lastly, the FanFiction website has been acting weird for me recently. Normally, I would get e-mails from them about me publishing a chapter on one of my projcets, as well as publishing another story, or getting updates from the other users publishing new chapters, or publishing a new story. Because of this, I'm not too sure if it's affecting the users here on FanFiction. And what's more weird is that whenever I access a chapter on a new chapter of a Fanfic, it would tell me to wait for five seconds because the website is protected by Cloudflare. But anyway, this story is still ongoing with act three, which is Godzilla vs Kong, obviously. In this chapter, Will and his group arrive at the Apex headquarters in Hong Kong and they come across a testing of MechaGodzilla. And the truth of Apex Cybernetics' intentions will soon be revealed. A traitor is revealed among the two cousins' group, and someone is about to die.

Apex Headquarters, Hong Kong, China, May 20th, 2024
Back with Will and his group, some of them had fallen asleep as a pair of glasses perched on Will's nose. Hearing a rumbling, Josh is first to wake up.
"Okay, okay. Creepy monorail is slowing down." Bernie informed.
"Doctor Carter, wake up. We're here." said Maddie as she patted on Will's shoulder.
"I'm up, I'm up." said Will as he sat up and adjusted his late father's glasses.
Opening the cargo door, the group slowly walks out of the cargo without alerting the security personnel of their presence.
"Okay. Keep quiet. Follow me." Bernie ordered as he opened a door.
"We're going on?" asked Bernie.
"Yeah." Maddie replied.
"Stick together. We could end up getting lost." said Will.
The gate suddenly closed behind them.
"Oh, no! Every time, I swear. Doors hate us." Josh said irritably.
"Hey! Keep it down. Because the last thing we don't need is getting caught by security for B&E and trespassing." said Will.
"Oh, yeah." Bernie muttered as the group comes across a massive hallway.
"Aah!" Bernie screamed.
"Oh, my God!" Maddie shouted, feeling jumpy.
"Really?" asked Will as he glared at the man.
"It's just so massive. It's so stupid." Bernie commented.
"So, what is this place?" asked Maddie.
"Well, if there's a corporate-friendly term for "sacrifice pit," I'd say we are in it." said Bernie.
"Oh God, that stinks." Maddie muttered.
"Just be careful of when you touch something like that, Maddie." said Will.
All of a sudden, Will's ears perked up, as alarms began to blare. That was not a good sign.
"That's not good. Bernie!" Maddie called.
"I really hate this place." Bernie muttered to himself.
"Attention: Demonstration in T-minus one minute. All personnel are to stay clear of the area." an automated voice spoke.
"Uh, guys? I think we might've walked into a death trap." said Will as the machines began powering up.
Not long after, a hatch below them started opening up, as a massive object ascended to the surface, the group slowly backed away. And right before their eyes, the object started moving itself as what appears to be a red eye, turned on by itself.
"What the hell is that thing?" Will shouted.
"That's robot Godzilla." Bernie mumbled.
"Oh, no. That's... That's Mechagodzilla." Josh corrected.
As Josh said this, Mechagodzilla suddenly stepped forward, as metal began thudding and clanking on itself. Just then, gate ten suddenly opened, as a Skullcrawler peeped its head out, startling Bernie and Josh, causing them to scream.
"Oh, my God! Come on, Maddie!" Will shouted.
"Right behind you, Doctor Carter!" said Maddie as she ran with her male companions.
The Skullcrawler came out and roared, as the three men continued to run and shout with Maddie slowly trailing behind them.
"Come on, Maddie!" Will shouted.
The Skullcrawler jumped over Maddie and leapt at Mechagodzilla, but the robot monster easily caught the monster in its metallic claws. Will quickly ran back and helped Maddie on her feet as they ran to join Josh and Bernie. All of a sudden, Mechagodzilla opened its metal mouth and fired a coloured red breath at the Skullcrawler's mouth, decimating and killing it instantly. Will and Maddie quickly hopped down and closed the hatch. Mechagodzilla's systems then powered down by itself, dropping the dead Skullcrawler's body, startling the group. Will turned away at the grimacing sight.
'I think I'm about to throw up after this.' he thought to himself.
"This is why Godzilla attackd the Apex facility. They're trying to replace him." Maddie scoffed.
'I'm gonna murder Walter Simmons when I get the chance. And after that, the whole world will watch Apex Cybernetics fall apart once their secret is out." Will snarled.
Elsewhere, Godzilla can hear a familiar sound calling out to him. Turning around with a snarl, Godzilla shifts his course to Hong Kong. He now knows where Kong is hiding and Godzilla is about to finish him. And he was not gonna let the puny humans interfere with his feud with Kong again.
Back with Bianca and Sonya and their group, they continued to follow Kong to the secret entrance of the Hollow Earth in the remaining HEAVs.
"That has to be it." Nathan said in his earpiece.
Kong approached the stones, before he observed the hand prints on a huge door. He placed his palms on the hand prints and pushed the huge doors open. He then stepped in and let out a roar as it echoed. Walking inside, he picks up an axe and raises it as he roared proudly.
"We were right." Nathan muttered.
"He's home." Ilene said quietly.
The two remaining HEAVs landed, as the group stepped outside and watched as Kong sat on his throne. Bianca and Sonya observed around the place, having been kept off the books.
Back at the Apex Headquarters, Will and his group hid behind a wall, avoiding detection from the security, who were on patrol.
"Follow me. Lizard people build all their facilities the same way. I can find the exit." Bernie whispered.
"I certainly hope we can find the exit." said Will.
Just then, Josh gasped upon the sight of another door on the left.
"The exit's this way. Guys. Madison!" Bernie whisper yelled.
Maddie led her companions to a secret room as a door opened. They realized something was in the secret room. Will and Maddie never thought they would come across a familiar skull.
"Oh, my God." Maddie whispered.
"Bitch, what?" asked Bernie.
"What the hell?" Will questioned himself.
"It's a Titan skull." Josh muttered.
"No, no, no. That's not just any Titan. That's Monster Zero." Bernie corrected.
"As in..." Will stated.
"Ghidorah." Maddie finished in a whisper.
"What the hell is Apex doing with King Ghidorah's skull?" asked Will.
"They hardwired its DNA. Self-generating neural pathways capable of intuitive learning." Bernie pointed out.
"Okay, I'm smart, but I only go to high school." Josh commented.
"It's a living supercomputer." Bernie said almost loudly.
"Shh." Josh shushed.
"It had three heads. Its necks were so long, they communicated telepathically. And there's one here and another one inside of that thing. Yeah, it could be a psionic interface." said Bernie.
"I think we've both seen that with our eyes five years ago." Will said to Maddie.
"Oh, my God." Bernie exclaimed.
"What is it?" asked Will.
"Careful." Bernie said to Maddie as she observed the man in its seat.
"It's a pilot." Maddie whispered.
"Yeah. He's in a trance. That's a psionic uplink. It follows his will." Bernie muttered.
"That's not just any pilot. That's Ren Serizawa." said Will.
"Doctor Carter, why does the last name Serizawa sound so familiar?" asked Maddie.
"That's because he's a son of the late Doctor Ishiro Serizawa." Will replied.
"Oh, Apex, what have you done?" Bernie questioned.
Just then, Will suddenly groaned as he fell on his knees and clutched his head in pain.
"Doctor Carter, what's wrong?" asked Maddie as she approached the lead scientist.
Will looked up as his brown eyes met with his companions.
"It's Godzilla. He's here in Hong Kong." Will replied.
"How do you know that?" Josh questioned.
"Because he and I have a telepathic connection. My parents hid this secret from me since I was a baby and never told me anything before they died." said Will.
Soon after, Will's fears came true as Godzilla rose from the ocean and made his way in Hong Kong, as the city's population screamed and scrambled for safety. Some of the Hong Kong police officers began evacuating the people to its nearby Titan shelters.
Meanwhile at the Hollow Earth, Maia looked at the readings on her tablet, not understanding what was happening.
"I don't understand. He led us here. Where is it?" Maia questioned.
Soon after, Kong's axe was filled with pulsating energy. He looks at it briefly and rose out of his throne before making his way over somewhere.
"What is he doing?" asked Maia.
Kong walks over to the axe's print on the ground. Setting it down, a blue energy is emitted as it surged.
"It's his axe. It's drawing radiation from the core like it's charging." Ilene replied.
Kong observed the emitting blue energy forming a circle around the throne. Godzilla, having made his way into the city of Hong Kong, roared at the skies. Now aware that his rival is hiding is his new home, Godzilla raised his head at the sky and charged his atomic breath as his eyes turned blue. Aiming downwards, Godzilla fired his atomic breath at the ground. This was not good.
Back at the Hollow Earth, Maia's personnel set a mysterious device on the ground. A small robot was activated and started crawling. This was a betrayal.
"What are you doing?" Ilene questioned Maia.
"Extracting a sample." Maia simply replied, without caring.
"This is a power beyond our understanding. You can't just drill into it." said Ilene.
"Actually, we can." Maia scoffed.
The small robot activated its lasers at the ground.
"My father gets what he wants. That's Apex property now." Maia declared.
"Your father is the one who killed my parents!" Bianca cried.
"What?" asked Ilene.
Just then, the small robot transferred the sample over to the Apex Cybernetics HQ. Bianca and Sonya knew that someone in the group is a traitor and they never expected it to be Maia Simmons. They finally realized that trusting Maia Simmons was a huge mistake.
"This is the discovery of the millennium. You can't strip it for parts." Ilene pointed out.
"Hold it." Maia ordered her men.
Obeying her orders, the Apex troops pointed their guns at the group. Feeling betrayed, Kong suddenly roared, causing the ground to shake. The shaking caused some flying creatures to drop out of the ceiling as they screeched. Kong bellowed at the flying creatures.
"Go. Go. Got what we needed. Let's go!" Maia barked.
Retreating to one of the HEAVs, the troops fired at the flying creatures before one of them picks up one of the unsuspected Apex troops as another creature picked another unsuspected troop. Panicking, Maia runs to the HEAV, barking orders at her men to move it and get going. The two cousins, along with Nathan, Ilene, and Jia, ran to the remaining HEAV as the pilot shouted that they have to fall back. But before the pilot can finish the sentence, he was suddenly pinned down by the creature as it kills him instantly.
"What do we do?" Sonya cried.
Nathan picked up a rock and threw it at the flying creature. But before it can attack them, a strong blue energy came out of nowhere, knocking the creature back at the HEAV, killing it instantly. And before the group knew it, there was a huge hole. And the two cousins knew who would be the only one to do it.
"Godzilla." Sonya whispered.
"I know you're here, Rival! Come out and face me!" Godzilla roared.
"You violated my home!"Kong bellowed.
"Get him out of the way! Shoot him!" Maia barked at the pilots.
The two pilots deployed the machine guns and fired at Kong, as the HEAV swerved and flew around him. But before Maia and her men can go further, Kong suddenly grabbed the HEAV and roared. Taking a look inside briefly, the pilots struggle to control, and Maia realized what was going to happen.
"Oh, no." she muttered.
"No, no, no..." she shouted.
Just like that, Kong crushed the HEAV, and Maia Simmons was no more.
"Bitch deserved it, anyway." Bianca muttered.
"Oh, Jesus! Come on, let's go!" said Nathan as he ushered the remaining survivors.
Kong could only watch as home slowly started to fall apart. This was the last straw. His rival had violated his home, and he was going to pay with his life. Determined, Kong picks up his axe and growled angrily as he jumped down and scaled down the hole with his axe. Boarding the remaining HEAV, Nathan takes over the controls.
"Hold on, ladies." said Nathan.
"Yeah." Ilene agreed.
"Get us out of here, Doctor Lind!" Sonya shouted.
Getting the HEAV out its ground, Nathan followed Kong down the hole.
Meanwhile, with Maddie and her group, she was the first to climb out as she made her way over to the panel and deactivated the alarms.
"Stay low." she whispered after making her way back.
"Come on, guys." said Will as he climbed out and followed Maddie.
"What? We've gotta try and stop this." said Maddie as she looked at the computer screens.
"Mm-mm. I don't like this, guys." Josh muttered.
"If this wasn't contributing to world destruction, this would be a great DJ booth." said Bernie.
"I think I'll have to agree with you there for once." Will agreed.
As Bernie turned around, a woman was suddenly looking at him. This was not good.
"I know what it... Maintenance." Bernie said to the woman.
"Madison, we should go." said Josh.
"I'm Maintenance. You don't have to alert the..." Bernie continued before turning back to the group.
"She doesn't buy that. Uh, Madison, we need to go. The woman with the villain hairdo... she's getting security." Bernie finished.
"Shit." Will cursed.
"Madison, they have guns." Josh added.
"Hey, guys. Uh, it's soundproof so I can't really... I wanna communicate..." Bernie said to the approaching security.
"Open the door!" one of them barked.
"Say again?" asked Bernie.
"Oh, God! Get down! Get down!" Bernie shouted as the security raised their guns.
"Get down, Maddie!" Will shouted, but it was already too late.
"Oh, shit!" Maddie screamed.
The security pointed their guns at the group. This has just been gone from bad to worse.
Oh, boy. Will and his group got themselves compromised. I gotta admit, the death of Maia Simmons was really satisfying. So, what do you guys think? Love it? Hate it?
