A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to another chapter of the Godzilla fanfic series featuring my OCs. So first off, happy month of December, I hope you guys are doing well and taking care of your physical and mental health. And second, I've been really busy with my studies lately and I have exams coming up in the next few weeks before the winter break comes around the corner. Anyway, I want to thank to each and every one of you guys for supporting and sticking with me until we reach the climax of act three. So, in this chapter, the final fight begins in the heart of Hong Kong, China. Who will win it all? And also, something unexpected happens. I think all of you know what this means. I lost track of the chapter number we're in today. But anyway, I hope you guys will like this chapter, and let's get right to it.

Hong Kong, China, May 20th, 2024
Raising his glowing axe, Kong climbed out of the hole, as the civilians ran in panic. Kong lets out a roar, and this makes Godzilla turn his attention to his rival.
"There you are!" Godzilla roared.
"You violated my new home!" Kong roared back.
"Let's finish this!" Godzilla bellowed.
Grabbing his axe, Kong leapt and charged at Godzilla, with the alpha swiftly dodged the incoming axe. Inside a restaurant, the patrons scrambled out of the harm's way. Godzilla bites on Kong's neck and slams him into an office building. The alpha predator attempts to charge up his atomic breath, but Kong slams his right forearm on Godzilla, making his attempts to charge his atomic breath futile. Refusing to let himself get underestimated, Kong started dealing blows to Godzilla and kicking him across a street.
"That's for violating my new home!" Kong bellowed as he pounded on his chest proudly.
Grabbing his axe once again, Godzilla grabs the axe and his claws and started charging up his atomic breath once again, but Kong quickly stuffed his axe in the alpha predator's mouth, but this proves to be a futile. Godzilla shoves Kong and charges his signature move, but Kong quickly blocks the attack with his axe. Looking down at his axe briefly, Godzilla quickly charged forward and sends his rival into the sea, Kong slams his axe, but the alpha predator dodges out of the way. Tossing his rival into the sea, Godzilla grabbed the axe with his mouth and tossed it at another building.
"Not so tough without your axe, are you? When I'm done with you, I'll destroy your new home! Just like my ancestors did before me!" Godzilla snarled.
"You will not violate my new home!" Kong roared.
Firing his atomic breath again, Kong swiftly dodges the attack as it destroyed more office buildings in the vicinity. Some of the patrons screamed and scrambled for safety, and the atomic breath leaves a mark on Kong's back, making him cry in pain as he barrel rolled onto a street. Godzilla chuckled darkly, having made a hit on his rival.
Kong roared, before Godzilla fired another atomic breath, as Kong makes more attempts to move out of the way before the attack strikes a building, making it crumble. In the Hollow Earth, the remaining HEAV flew upwards as Bianca and Sonya held on tight to their seats.
"We're about to breach the veil! Hold on!" Nathan shouted.
"Tell us something we don't know!" Bianca replied.
Flying out of the entrance, Kong scales a building and roared, as the two cousins, Ilene, and Nathan screamed. Godzilla's atomic breath almost missed the HEAV, as the flying transport does a barrel roll and flew around the alpha predator.
"Talk about a close call!" Sonya called.
As the fight continued on the street level, Kong continued to jump on different buildings to avoid taking more damage from Godzilla's atomic breath. Grabbing his axe again, Kong leapt up and raised it. With a roar, Kong slams his axe on Godzilla's head, causing an explosion that sends Kong flying back into some of the buildings, as Godzilla collides into another building and into the ground. Kong stands up and wipes off the debris off his mouth.
"Looks like round two goes to Kong." Nathan declared.
"That means nothing to us." Bianca muttered.
At the Apex Cybernetics Headquarters, Will, Maddie, Josh, and Bernie, with their hands raised in surrender, was brought to the head office, where Walter was waiting for the group.
"Hey! No need to point your damn guns!" Will hissed.
"Oh., come on, guys. Really? Greenpeace again?" Walter questioned.
"Greenpea..." Bernie chuckled.
Clearing his throat, Bernie started, "Actually, sir, not like you would know this, but I'm Level Two Assistant Engineering... Well, Provisional Level Two Assistant Engineering, not like you would know that. My evaluations were incredibly encourag..."
One of the guards shoved his gun at Bernie's back, making him finish, "I'm just saying Greenpeace wishes, is all I'm saying."
"Where do I know you from?" Walter questioned Maddie.
Will glared at the man, fully knowing he's responsible for causing the deaths of Bianca's late parents. Will and Bee's families were all dead because of Walter Simmons.
"Oh, my goodness. Director Russell's daughter, yes?" Walter asked.
"You caused all of this." Maddie growled.
"If by "all of this," you mean I, and I alone, have given humanity a chance against the Titans, then, yes, I will own that title." Walter stated.
"You won't own that title for very long." Will snarled.
"Godzilla had left us in peace. You provoked him into war." Maddie snarled.
"There can be only one alpha, Miss Russell. It seems to have been providence." said Walter as he chuckled before turning to face his latest creation.
Back at the street level, Godzilla shook off the debris as he searched for his rival. Kong, who has been hanging around on a rooftop of a building, threw his axe at a building, diverting the alpha predator's attention. Kong then jumped off a building and grabbed his opponent in a headlock, as Godzilla's attempts to get his rival off of him proves to a fruitless effort.
Landing a hit on the alpha predator's jawline, and onto the back of his head. Refusing to let his rival get the best of him again, Godzilla chomps on Kong's right arm with his jaws, making him groan in pain. Slamming Kong into the ground, Godzilla raised his right foot and slammed onto the street level, but Kong moves out of the way as they both roared.
Grabbing his rival's left arm with his jaws, Godzilla tossed him a few feet away, before Kong lands on a front of building on his left shoulder, as if the world almost heard a loud crack, Kong clutched onto his dislocated left shoulder, crying in pain.
"Get back here!" Godzilla roared.
Charging towards Kong, Godzilla head dove into a building as Kong swiftly moved out of the way, but this proves to be a futile effort as the alpha predator moved his head out before the building crumbled. Slamming his tail on his rival, Kong tries to scurry away like a hermit crab, but Godzilla continued going after him.
Kicking Godzilla with his right foot, as if he felt nothing, the alpha predator jumped up, and started digging his claws into his rival's chest, tearing out every flesh. Godzilla then steps on Kong's chest, making him groan in pain.
Using his only right arm, Kong punches Godzilla in the face, making the alpha predator roar into the skies. Feeling unfazed, the alpha predator slammed his left foot on Kong's chest again, only this time, he kept his left foot on his rival's chest, with this attempt to shake off Godzilla's foot proved fruitless.
"I warned you about what I would do at our last encounter." Godzilla snarled as he leaned in and lets out a huff out of his nose.
"I don't take orders from you, Rival." Kong growled.
"I am the alpha here! Submit to me!" Godzilla roared.
"I yield to no one!" Kong roared.
"So be it. Since you won't bow to me, I won't kill you. But I will let you live for now." Godzilla growled as he lifted his left foot off and walked away.
"I'm not done with you yet! Get back..." Kong growled weakly as he struggled to get back up before his knees buckled and collapsed on his back.
Back at the HEAV, the group watched the whole fight, ending with Godzilla maintaining his rightful title as the alpha predator. Ilene looks back at Jia, who could only slouch back at her seat in despair.
"I can't believe Godzilla won that." Bianca muttered.
"I know." Sonya agreed.
Meanwhile at the Apex Cybernetics Headquarters, Walter ordered Ren to begin and commence with the pilot integration.
"And now... my Mecha. It's not only Godzilla's equal... but his superior. The Apex Titan of my own hand." Walter declared he laughed.
"It's time to show the world what you can do." he finished, over the comms.
"Pilot engaged." an automated voice announced.
All of a sudden, Mechagodzilla's systems started to go haywire, as if something else was controlling it.
"Alert: Failure. System unstable. Alert: Failure. System unstable." the automated voice spoke in a distorted voice.
Snapping out of his trance, Ren knew something was wrong. The computer systems started glitching as the words Pilot Disconnected appeared on the screen.
"This is how we, as a species, win." Walter started.
Unbeknownst to him, Mechagodzilla has gone active. Maddie nudged Will on his left arm, the head scientist drew his attention to the Mechagodzilla, slowly walking over to the group as Walter continued to rant.
"Get back." Will muttered to his companions, without moving his lips.
"You see, 10 years ago, when Gojira was first revealed to the world, I had a dream. And in that dream, I saw one thing. And that beautiful, amazing thing was..." he continued.
Before he could finish, he observed the troubled look on his enemies' expression, wondering what they were looking at. The man belatedly turned around and saw his own creation raising its right claw.
"Oh, shit." Walter cursed under his breath.
And I will end the chapter there for today. So what did you guys think? I gotta admit, Walter Simmons' death was very satisfying to watch since he's the one responsible for creating Mechagodzilla. In the next chapter, Mechagodzilla is loose and the final showdown will begin in the ruined city of Hong Kong. Who will rise? And who will fall? Only two more chapters left until the grand finale. Once I wrap up act three, I will add my OCs' biographies as the extras. Do you guys think I should do a rewrite of the story and the same OCs, but with different roles?
