Jessica's Point of View

Two weeks after my father's visit, Heartless began showing up. I used my keyblade to fight them. Though I slew the Heartless with ease, I was confined to the palace along with the princesses. Ariel had a tendency not to listen, despite my warning that they were, in fact, extremely dangerous. Occasionally, I would go out with her to make sure that she was safe, but for the most part, I stayed in the palace to make sure that the others stayed safe. One day, I heard King Triton yelling at Ariel as I passed by the throne room. I risked a glance to see that Ariel was with a merboy with spiky brown hair and a funny-looking turtle and octopus. Ariel passed by me, looking upset, and the strangers followed her. Curious, I followed Ariel out of the palace. "You know you're not supposed to be out of the palace," I reminded.

"I don't care," Ariel huffed.

"I've figured that out by now. Who are your friends?" I asked.

"I'm Sora. The octopus is Donald, and the turtle is Goofy," The merboy with the spiky hair introduced.

"I'm Jessica, though my friends call me Jess. Nice to meet you. Where are you going?" I wondered.

"Not far. You don't have to worry about me, Jess. Honest. These three can fight the Heartless just like you can," Ariel assured me.

"They can?" I questioned.

"Yeah. We'll protect Ariel," Sora promised.

I knew that I shouldn't take their word for it, but there was something familiar about Sora. I had this nagging feeling that he was like an old friend, even though we had just met. "Okay. I trust you, Ven." I blinked, realizing what I had just said. "I mean, Sora. I'm sorry. I don't know why I just said that." I swam back into the palace and went to my room. The others princesses were all there.

"Do you know where Ariel is?" Attina asked.

"No. I Haven't seen her," I lied.

"Really, because last I checked, you were with her," Alana accused.

"Okay, so maybe I was, but I have no idea where she is now," I admitted.

"Why didn't you stop her?" Attina snapped.

"Why didn't you? We all know that stopping Ariel is like stopping a current," I sighed.

"This is different. It's like, life and death," Aquata pointed out.

"She'll be fine. She's with some people that I trust," I assured them. I got some dubious glances, but no one had time to question it because more Heartless appeared. I began fighting them.
