Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Electrical Entanglements. Enjoy the 2200-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo, and a few others.

"Sometimes? I question how you do this." Aaren stated, leaning on the wall as his Hippowdon looked around the room. "I don't know how you manage stuff like this, there's only so much you can do in this line of work, you know. At least I and Hippowdon only have to make sure nothing happens to you." Aaren added, turning to pet the Pokémon up and down his neck.

"It's fun, not something you do without devoting to it," Elesa said before kicking her feet through the air. "But I get how weird it can be when you think about it. Modeling is very physically demanding; it's why I have staff that helps me reach the goals it requires me to have." Elesa said as Aaren rolled his eyes as he did so.

"You mean the handful of stuff that I also have to manage when it comes down to it?" Aaren asked, raising an eyebrow as he did so. "Because you know I end up having to do all of that. By myself, it's quite annoying at the end of the day." Aaren questioned, looking around the electrical yellow room.

He had never understood her desire to have her room look like a crash course in the electrical area. The entire room was covered in zigzagging lightning bolts that crossed the entire structure. He could see what looked like Joltik who started to hide within the web of arcing shocks that covered the entire enclosure.

It was something that often-made Aaren chuckle when he thought back on it. Despite how the Pokémon was? Aaren always remembered she loved the adorable little Pokémon; it was something she always used to play with when it came down to it.

She was quiet after a few minutes, unsure of what to say, of what Aaren would say. She knew more than anything that he was simply messing with her, it was something that always interested her seeing her friend who was quite bemused more than mad at her.

"Do you remember how you found your first Joltik?" Aaren questioned, raising his eyebrow higher as he did so. "I do. It was always weird. I was just starting with my first Pokémon; you were starting towards being a gym leader." Aaren stated while he crossed his arms.

"Yes, and your Hippowdon was simply a Hippopotas," Elesa responded, brushing off her shirt as she did so. "There were plenty of things weird back then," Elesa added, looking around when it came down to it.

Aaren watched Elesa slowly start to sit up, crossing her legs under her when it came down to it. Aaren was quite interested in work at the end of the day.

"Do you want me to point out that you have some more things today?" Aaren questioned while he raised his eyebrow. "You have some dress rehearsals, they want you to pull a press conference, they also have a book signing." Aaren put in, starting to look over the list he held in his hands.

"You take your job pretty seriously, don't you?" Elesa asked, kicking her slipper-clad feet as she walked around the room, gesturing for Aaren to continue talking. "What else is on that list? Do I have to fight? Are there more people waiting to get the gym badge? There are always challenges." Elesa added to which Aaren hummed.

It wasn't an untrue statement, but she knew better than to ask something. There was ALWAYS a fight, she knew there was always such a battle because it was part of her job. There would be no limit to that amount of people.

"Would you like the truth or the snark I always bring to the table?" Aaren questioned while he brushed off his shirt. "There's an entire list of people who want to fight you, it's funny. I remember when I battled you, I was quite surprised that I managed to hold my own with you." Aaren added, clicking his pen.

Elesa was silent, chuckling but nothing more. She wanted to think about when it came down to it. Elesa watched Aaren chuckle, looking down at the tiled floor to which she smirked.

"So, it's the regular days like usual?" Elesa questioned to which he nodded.

"Yes, there will always be days like that if the schedule at the moment," Aaren stated while he twirled his pencil through his fingers. "I do think it's kinda ridiculous if I'm honest. There's plenty of time in the months coming up, though. It's still hard getting a free day out of these people when it comes down to it." Aaren stated while he shook his head.

Elesa nodded to herself while she nodded to herself as she started to think of the next move. The amount of work that she had to put into her job. She looked at Aaren who was still writing on the pad he had in his hands. She often wondered why he had taken the job of being her manager and assistant. It didn't give him something that he would need at the end of the day.

Then again? She knew Aaren had been one of her friends that she had met years ago. It wasn't really surprising to hear that her friend had come to support her in her time of need. It was something that Aaren seemed to pride himself on at the end of each day despite himself

"I don't know how you do it so well," Elesa stated to which her friend raised an eyebrow at her as he did so. "The work, I mean. It's not something that a lot of people enjoy doing." Elesa added while her friend shrugged.

"It's not as hard as you seem to think it is to handle this type of work," Aaren said while he brushed off his jacket. "Plus? It's an excuse to be around my friends like you. I still get to hang out with my Pokémon and enjoy myself at the end of the day, yeah?" Aaren asked with a raised eyebrow.

Elesa nodded to herself as she fell silent. She looked around the room while Aaren simply rolled her eyes at this amusing type of distraction which was all too common in this place.

"It's kinda weird," Aaren said to himself while he cleared his throat. "I don't know what the plan is at the moment. There's something that I don't know. Why do you think that it's hard to do this sort of thing? I've done it before and it's not that hard to do. I'll admit it's kinda a challenge to handle at the end of the day… But it makes it easier to do the more I try." Aaren stated while he shook his head and started to look around.

Aaren said nothing while he started to shake his head. His friend was many things, but she wasn't as on top of her game at times as she seemed to think less about her career and more about other topics when it came down to it.

"What do we do next?" Aaren asked while he frowned and started to sigh. "Why is it so hard to do this?" Aaren asked himself while he rolled his eyes.

He was well aware that his friend was starting to want to think of what to do next as he cleared his throat. He was well aware of what to do if he was on a normal day that wasn't as busy as this. This wasn't a normal day at the moment which caused him to fumble at the time.

"I want to point out that there are a dozen deals people wanted to speak to you about," Aaren stated to her while he tapped his pen on the notepad while he sighed to himself. "There are plenty of people who wish to try and think of what to do next," Aaren added with a raised eyebrow as he did so.

"Hmm," Elesa stated while she frowned to herself and started to look into the sky. "There's plenty of work to be done, isn't there?" Elesa asked while she garnered a nod from her friend before he cleared his throat once more before he raised his eyebrow higher.

He didn't want to do a lot when it came to more perks from her sponsors when it came down to it. All of the lists were interested in her. He didn't know what to do next on their list. It wasn't his list after all. the more

"It's a lot of work, yes," Aaren stated while he looked at his notes. "I don't entirely recommend one or another thing. The type of work on the list will take all day if I'm being honest and it means a lot of hoops to throw yourself into." Aaren said while he hummed to himself and looked at her.

He said nothing for a moment while he checked to see if he had been wrong on anything. The more he screwed up? The harder he made things for Elesa said while he frowned to himself once more before he slightly dropped the issue with a sigh.

"No. Not really, you get used to it." Elesa said while she frowned to herself. "Trust me. It's a long schedule at the moment." Elesa stated while she tapped her hands together and tossed the ball towards the ground.

There was a lot more to do at the moment. it was honestly not as weird as it was a few seconds. She had a lot more on his mind when it came down to it. Elesa watched as her Flaaffy popped from the ball in front of them. The creature was honestly more adorable than it seemed. It was far more interested in what to do next.

Still? There were far more details for them down the road. They were interested in what to do next as he started to cross things off the list in front of him.

She wasn't one to mince her words as she watched Aaren start to cross certain details of the noticeboard while he sighed before he patted Flaaffy. The sheep Pokémon watched her friend pat her on the head before Elesa tapped him on the head as well.

She smiled while he slowly turned and tossed another Pokeball onto the ground. She watched as a creature popped from the device popped onto the ground while he was well aware of what to do next.

"Sandrew? Say hi to Elesa again." Aaren said while he frowned to himself. "There's far too much on the plate to stop at this moment." Aaren was honestly questioning what to do next. He had been hopeful.

He looked at Elesa stated before he tilted his head to the side. There were a lot more interesting things to do as of the second. Aaren was honestly on the mind then this as if he sighed to himself.

There was a lot more on the mind, a lot more as of the second. He was honestly curious at the time.

"What happens if we need to deal with something last minute? You're telling me you had that all planned out down to the last second?" Elesa questioned to which there was some interest.

He nodded to himself before rolling his eye as he seemed to question what to do next. He had been interested in what was coming to this place, the intent behind it… Hmm, something was coming, something odd that had been so… Weird to him.

Still? She wanted an update and he'd damn well give her one at the second at the time. He skipped through his notes, curious as to what she'd do next when he gave her the nose he had on hand at the time. This had to end sooner or later. It'd be nice to see her out of her element when it came down to it.

He sighed and watched as she hummed to herself before she rolled her eyes at him. She expected more work to be done at the time. Aaren was someone powerful and he couldn't tell her, he was far too powerful at the time. it had been hopeful for her to assume he'd still be handling her work as of now, even if it was a bit.

"There are a few pages on here you need to sign off on, but nothing too major if I'm honest," Aaren stated before he tilted his head at her with a sigh to himself.

"And the rest of this list?" Elesa questioned to which Aaren stayed silent for a moment. "I'm going to guess it's blank for the most part?" Elesa questioned to which there was a nod.
