Jessica's Point of View

When I woke up, I was alone with Luna. "What happened, Jessica?" Luna wondered.

Axel, my father, and my uncle, Lexaeus, are dead, along with... Luna, Zexion is dead, too. I just found out that he is Mamoru reborn, and now he's dead," I explained.

"Zexion was Mamoru?" Luna asked.

"He told me when he visited me in Atlantica," I said. I clenched my fists so hard I could feel my nails digging into my skin, even through my gloves. "That was the last time I saw him. And my father-" I was in tears again. "He was going to tell me more about my mom. He told me about how they met. I asked him to tell me more about her the next time I saw him, but he couldn't tell me anything now. I can't even learn anything more about him. What am I going to do? I can't do this again."

A Dusk came in holding a tray of food along with a note. I read it.

I thought you might need some time to yourself. You are welcome to join us whenever you are ready.

Xemnas

I took the food tray and began to eat. When I was done, I set the tray aside. "Do you think Xemnas feels guilty?" I didn't wait for an answer from Luna because I immediately knew how foolish of a question it was. "Of course not. He can't feel things like guilt or remorse." It brought back memories of the last time I had seen my father. "What would my father say now?" I wiped my tears away. "He wouldn't want me sitting around crying. That's for sure. After all, they were Nobodys. They shouldn't have even existed in the first place. But I'm still so sad. I feel like I've lost everything."

"What will you do now? You don't have to stay here. You can go to any world you want, or you could start searching for the other sailor guardians," Luna suggested.

"I would rather stay here just while I'm figuring things out. I'm not ready to go find the others," I decided. I wasn't ready to lose anyone else. I stood up slowly. After being underwater for so long, it took a lot of strength to stand, but I managed. I slowly took small steps. "I'll be back." I made my way to my father's lab, taking breaks along the way. When I had finally made it, I burst into tears again. Everything reminded me of my father and Zexion, who had both spent so much time studying and performing experiments there. I stumbled as I entered the room and fell to the ground, not having the energy to stand any longer. I took a deep breath in and let out a scream.

I heard footsteps approach quickly and turned to the door to see Saix enter the room. "Are you alright?" He checked.

I wanted to say I wasn't, but I knew he only meant to ask if I was physically hurt. "I'm fine. I'm just feeling terrible right now," I replied.

"I see," Saix mused before kneeling on the ground next to me. "Is there anything I can do?"

"Not unless you can bring them back. I don't care about Marluxia and Larxene, but the others... How did this happen?" I shuddered. It was a rhetorical question, but he took it literally.

"We are unsure of exactly what went down in Castle Oblivion at the moment, but it was suspected that there were traitors among those sent. Axel was ordered to eliminate any traitors," Saix explained.

I became furious. "Are you calling my father, my uncle, and Zexion traitors?" I snapped.

Saix seemed to realize his mistake. "I said, suspected traitors. I'm sure it had nothing to do with them," He tried.

No matter how he tried to smooth things over, the damage had already been done. I knew what he thought of them. I didn't want to hear anything more from him. "Get out," I growled.

"Jessica, that came out wrong. Let me-" Saix started as he tried to put his hand on my shoulder, but I slapped it away.

"Get out!" I repeated.

Saix nodded and left.
