Chapter 4: The fall of Trost? The Gremory household proves itself?!
Hey everybody :D.
Sorry for the wait, but I am going to try to update this story much more frequently.
I have been busy with my latest High school DxD novel.
Nevertheless, with the newest Attack on titan season back online again, I have a new desire to carry on with this story.
However, this story will be short. Maybe 8 or 10 chapters.
Anyway, sorry for the wait, but please enjoy the next chapter.
Screams of innocent civilians echoed throughout the remains of the city of Trost.
And just like always for the Sekiryutei, once one battle had finished, yet another would introduce itself.
Giving Issei no time to catch his breath.
A much more treacherous, more devastating fight would be knocking at his door.
Mikasa Ackerman pulled the exhausted and unconscious Eren Yeager from the carcass of his dead titan form.
Slashing away at the remains of the flesh which tried to keep Eren attached.
"Well what's it going to be Commander Erwin? Do you still need me to prove myself? Or can I go help save your population now? You better think fast, I don't have much longer until this armour disappears." Issei enquired.
A sinister glare was directed towards Issei along with a sharpened blade.
"Are you sure you want to point that sword at me? I must warn you, if you insist on preventing me from helping my friends, whether it be man or woman….. I won't pull my punches!" Issei said displaying his fearsome dragon aura.
"Ackerman! Let him go." Erwin said making Mikasa almost growl.
"But Commander Erwin! He attacked Eren!" Mikasa argued her sword still raised and ready to attack.
"Ackerman! Eren knew what he was getting into when he challenged him. Stand down and get Eren to squad leader Hange." Erwin ordered.
Mikasa holstered her sword and carried Eren away.
"You passed. Now go give your heart to humanity!" Erwin said making Issei deploy his wings and launch himself into the air.
Meanwhile, the Gremory household were doing their part to help against the invading titans.
Asia and Gasper were assisting in the infirmary, helping clean and bandage wounds of the soldiers.
Whereas the rest of the members, were on the battlefield.
Trying to help in any way they can.
"Ahhhh! Please help me!" A soldier screamed as he struggled within a Titan's monstrous hand.
In response to the cries for help, Koneko flew on to the scene.
And with a thunderous punch, Koneko managed to force the Titan to let go of the despair filled man.
"Thank you so much." The wounded and frightened soldier said as Koneko offered him a hand up.
"Are you alright?" Koneko kindly asked her hand grasping his.
All of a sudden, Koneko felt an overwhelming wave of pain.
"Ahhh!" Koneko screamed as the monstrous hand attempted to crush her.
The injured cat girl looked towards the wounded soldier she just rescued as the titan tried to break her bones.
"Let go of me…." A voice said making Koneko's cat ears perk up.
"What?" Koneko said not believing what she was hearing.
"I said let go of me!" The soldier cried raising his sword into the air.
"Ouch!" Koneko screamed as the garrison troop's sword stabbed into her hand.
The cowardly soldier detached the blade from its grip and grappled away.
"Not this time you don't!" Koneko screamed as she removed the sword blade from her hand.
"Go to hell you monster!" Koneko yelled as she stabbed the blade into the titan's hand.
The powerful brawler afterwards, slammed her fist into the bobble head creature's cheek, slamming its huge body into the ground.
The wounded devil cradled her hand as it dripped with blood.
Koneko was harshly smashed against the tiles of the roof she stood on.
That same menacing Titan had regained its feet and begun to attack her again.
"Oh no you don't!" Issei roared as he cut through the nape of the attacking Titan.
The titan's aggressive state was reduced to a neutralised one.
The monster hit the ground and died, its bloody remains being the only symbol of it ever being alive.
"Koneko-chan, are you alright?" Issei said assisting his fallen friend.
"Issei-senpai. I'm fine. Don't underestimate those things, they're very fast." Koneko said as Issei bandaged her punctured hand.
"Don't worry Koneko-chan, I'm faster." Issei said discarding the blood on his holy blade.
"Star sonic booster!" Issei roared shedding his armour to increase his speed.
Issei raced off towards the horde of Titans, where his friends were also fighting the smiling beasts.
"Come on you smiling bastards! Just try and eat me!" Issei roared travelling at god like speed.
One by one, Issei decapitated the monstrous Titans, making sure to lacerate the napes of their necks.
"Ahh! Help me!" Cried another soldier as he was moments away from being chomped down on by the strange looking beast.
"You can't eat him without your teeth!" Issei yelled smashing his fist into the top of the Titans mouth, shattering the front row of the Titans teeth.
"Please get me out of here!" The soldier screamed after the Titan tried to swallow him.
"Take my hand!" Issei yelled reaching out to the demise fuelled man.
"Don't do that you idiot! That's how you lose an arm!" Jean Kirstein said remembering how Eren supposedly lost an arm due to this sort of pattern before.
Issei quickly grabbed the soldier and used an uppercut inside the Titans mouth.
Successfully launching half the grinning beasts face into the sky.
"Thank you. I mean it thank you." The soldier exclaimed as his life flashed before his very eyes.
"Are you hurt? Can you go on?" Issei enquired as he helped the soldier to its feet.
"Of course I can. I wouldn't be able to call myself a scout's soldier without killing a few titans first." The soldier said regaining his fighting spirit.
"Good luck! Don't die out there." Issei called out as the scout deployed his Omni-directional gear.
"Yeah you too!" The scout soldier said as he made his way to fight the titans.
One by one the Titans fell prey to the Sekiryutei's divine dragon slaying blade.
"I won't lose to you Issei-kun!" Kiba said as he slashed through a Titans nape with the Titan slaying blades.
"And nor will I!" Xenovia said as she too took down a Titan.
"Damn, those rookies are strong." Connie said as he witnessed the masterwork of the Gremory warriors.
"Even the girls are powerful!" Sasha said after witnessing Rias and Akeno take down a Titan themselves.
"Keep them coming! I can take down these things no problem!" Issei said feeling full of confidence.
A huge crash of lightning shot down from above, shattering the ground in a blinding green light.
"Titan shifter!" A squad member said as he ignited a red flare into the sky.
"What the hell was that?" Issei said getting a bad feeling about this sudden storm.
"Oh no! It's the Colossal Titan!" Armin yelled noticing the huge figure emerge from the smoke.
"Rias look out!" Issei yelled noticing the burning properties of the steam being produced by the new enemy.
Fortunately for the crimson haired devil, Issei had already entered his star sonic booster mode, so he had more than enough speed to catch her.
"Are you alright Rias?" Issei asked his master within his arms.
"Yeah just barely. That was a close one!" Rias said as she was just rescued from third degree burns.
"Now this guy looks like a challenge!" Issei said getting geared up for a fight.
"Don't do it Issei, this thing looks like trouble." Rias said feeling a sense of doubt and fear as she stared at this menacing face.
"If I don't stop this thing, I have a feeling it will kill us all. Don't worry, I can handle this big lug." Issei said gently putting down Rias onto the roof.
"He's taking on the colossal titan? What an idiot! He's going to get himself killed!" Eren said as Mikasa helped him along using her Omni-directional gear.
"Okay big guy, let's go! Dragonic rook!" Issei yelled reinforcing his body with more armour, thus sacrificing his speed for power.
The colossal Titan slammed his ginormous fist down towards Issei.
"You may be big, but you really are slow!" Issei said preparing to meet the inside out titan's fist with his own.
"Solid impact!" Issei roared his punch inches away from connecting.
Suddenly, the colossal titan took Issei by surprise.
Employing hot steam from its hand to push Issei's attack back.
Issei fully extended his wings to stop himself from being cast into the wind.
Another burst of lightning struck within the corner of Issei's eye.
Charging from within, was another unusual titan.
Racing towards him at 15 metres tall, was a creature fully clad in silver armour.
"Another one? You've got to be kidding me! Dragon sh..." Issei was cut off by the armoured titan, misjudging the speed of this new enemy.
After being rugby tackled by the great behemoth, Issei tried to slash at the titan.
But his skilful slash only bounced off this shiny opponents armour.
"Issei!" Rias screamed as the titan captured him with both of its hands.
"It's over. He's been crushed." Armin said receiving a few glares from Akeno, Koneko and Xenovia.
"No wait! Listen!" Rias yelled picking up on a faint sound within the giants grasp.
(Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost! Boost!)
A flicker of emerald, grew magnificently into a towering beacon inferno, as the Sekiryutei rose from its majestic glow.
(Cardinal crimson promotion.)
"Change mode! Cardinal crimson king!" Issei roared as he successfully escaped Reiner's imprisoning giant hands.
"No way..." was all Eren could say as the mighty dragon devil escaped death yet again.
The armoured titan threw a devastating punch towards the Sekiryutei.
Only this time, Issei managed to stop Reiner's attack, with one hand to be precise.
The armoured titan growled in shock as Issei stared back at him.
"You have impressive armour. But it's no match for the armour of the red dragon emperor! Ddraig's armour is the strongest!" Issei exclaimed as he momentarily disappeared, reappearing with a solid punch to the armoured titan's armoured face.
The armoured titan fell to the ground and Issei returned his sights to the primary threat.
"So you like to blow off steam? So do I! Kiba! Xenovia! Back me up! Keep iron man over there company!" Issei said as he slammed his feet into the ground and created two large cannons on his shoulders.
(Fang blast booster!)
Kiba and Xenovia charged the titan preventing Issei from charging his cannons with their swords drawn.
However, their weapons did nothing more than shatter against his durable skin.
"Damn it!" Xenovia said she tried to reload her weapons.
"We can't stop it! Look out Issei-kun!" Kiba warned as he too failed to halt the titan's progress.
Despair overwhelmed the Gremories as yet another lightning bolt crashed into the ground.
Although...
"Eren! What are you doing?! You're still recovering!" Mikasa screamed as the transformed Eren charged towards the armoured titan.
Eren tackled Reiner to the ground blocking his path from Issei, who was still powering up his attack.
"Thanks! Now I'm already to fire! Let's go Ddraig!" Issei said as his accumulated boosted power prepared to blast towards the colossal Titan.
"Crimson blaster!" Issei launched his powered up blast from his shoulder cannons. Aiming directly at the colossal titan.
Eren's titan body smashed into the ground after Reiner reversed his attack.
The armoured titan charged for the sekiryutei!
But to no avail...
Issei's attack had already been fired!
And the armoured titan was careless, blown away by the shockwaves of Issei's ultimate attack.
Reiner and Bertolt were shrouded in a cloud of smoke.
Issei patiently waited for the smoke to clear, only to be shocked and puzzled of the outcome.
There was no body!
Neither the armoured titan nor the colossal Titan were anywhere within the Sekiryutei's line of sight.
"They vanished?!" Issei said as Eren came to his side.
"Yes. But they will return again." Commander Erwin said suddenly appearing behind Issei.
"What are you talking about?" Issei asked feeling completely perplexed right now.
"You saw Eren before didn't you? Those two are just like him. Titan shifters. Humans who can freely transform into titans'. They escaped by leaving their titan forms." Erwin said making Issei finally understand.
"So these monsters are humans?!" Issei said finally understanding just what kind of messed up world he and his friends had been transported into.
