The Vampire Assistant

Ch. 8: The Move Out

Location- Midoriya residence, Time- 9:35 pm

Once the moving truck came, which wasn't a moving vehicle or a truck, a team of none equipped people in suits came in and acted like a whirlwind as they packed up everything! It was honestly a shock to Inko, watching this all go down so fast, it was too surreal to be true. Jessica saw Inko staring at the finely tuned team that was fast to pack them up and reminded her that she had better say her goodbyes and excuses to her friend before they left.

Inko almost panicked at this and excused herself. As she walked across the lawn to the front gate, she briefly looked over at her son and Ash, appearing to be having a great time in the cool of the night. The older vampire shows off some of his abilities in a discreet manner and Izuku eats up every bit of information, just having a grand time. It was like watching an older dog play with a puppy.

Inko thought it was cute if not a bit concerning since everything has happened so fast. As she looked at her son she was quickly reminded of what was revealed by Ash. About his attempt at unliving himself. She desperately wanted to talk to Izuku about this but didn't know how or when.

Izuku must've been thinking like her, cause when his head turned and their eyes met, he immediately looked away with a shiver of shame. Inko sighed and decided to put it on the back burner for now. First, she had to say her goodbyes to her long-time friend.

Once Inko had left from a talking distance, Izuku stared out at her over his shoulder with a sense of fear, shame, and stress weighing down on him. As he was lost in thought and feeling, Ash was showing off the extent of his shapeshifting abilities by turning his hand into a mouth. He quickly picked up on Izuku's distant disinterest and changing his hand back he spoke to him in a somber tone.

"You know you're gonna have to talk to her. There's no way around it.", he told him with a blunt yet kind tone.

Izuku sank his head down with a dark shadow covering his face as he asked in a low tone, "Why did you say that? Why did you tell her? Things would be better if she didn't have to worry."

"Well that's a load of bull shit if I ever heard it.", Ash replied while rolling his eyes, making Izuku glare up at him with surprise and anger. "Look Izuku, before I get into it, first consider this. What plausible excuse could I give her?", he asked him seriously.

Izuku bit his lower lip as this question struck his mind and he stumbled over his words, saying, "Well….you could've….you should've…."

Ash cut him off right there and reiterated, "I met you on a roof you intended to kill yourself on. I almost did you in myself, and you stated your desire to keep going on. Thus your transformation into a vamp. What should I have said? Also, I don't lie. Ever!"

"But-But-But!", Izuku weakly tried to fight back with an excuse, but nothing filled his head.

Ash cut him off again with a stern finger raise and stated, "No buts! But they are for pooping."

"Do vampires poop?", Izuku asked back.

"Yes, but that's not the point.", Ash answered while trying not to veer off-topic. "The point is that it's completely unhealthy to withhold…. anything from anyone. Especially the ones you love. That just causes friction and a gap to form. You don't wanna lose your mom do you?", he asked him with a sincere tone.

Izuku looked down at his feet and replied softly, "No."

Ash placed his large hand on Izukus's head, causing him to look up as he told him seriously, "Then don't be stupid. Don't feel like you have to be the 'bigger man' to protect her. Don't feel like there's some kind of guilt you have for making her worry or cry. That's what moms do, they love and worry about you. I think she'll be more upset by the fact you held this from her than anything else. You can't think that you put her in a bad spot simply because of some construed flimsy societal structure. Be vulnerable with her, be open! Unless you can't?", he asked him the last part with sympathy in his voice.

"NO! I can be! HONEST! I just….don't know-how. I'm scared.", Izuku initially shouted in shock and denial before sobering down.

Ash smiled at him as he looked away from him. Ruffling his hair he told him, "Well the first step in knowing how to do something scary, is by facing that fear head-on. You'll never know the outcome if you never tried at all. This all make sense?"

Izuku looked off to the side while biting down on his lip and replying, "I…. I think so."

"Good.", Ash said back softly while pinching his cheek.

After he let go, Izuku looked up at him and asked in a serious yet nervous tone, "Do I have to call you 'master' from now on?"

"Do that and I'll spank you till you sit funny for the rest of eternity.", he told him in a threatening tone with a shadow shading the upper portion of his face, making his eyes pop.

Izuku swallowed hard and nodded in agreement with this, and then asked nervously and fearfully, "Should I…talk to her now?"

"If that's how you feel then go for it. No better time than the present. After all-.", Ash tried to tell him with a shrug before a loud voice stopped him.

"Oi, Deku!", the voice shouted, making Izuku jump in place and setting Ash off into protective mode!

Spinning around to the possible threat, only to see an angry-looking blond kid with his hands in his pockets trudging up towards them. Izuku's childhood 'friend' Bakugou Katskui. Ash could tell this kid wasn't much of a threat, seeing as he could obliterate him with ease, and put his guard down a bit. But kept his eyes on him, seeing as Izuku did react the way he did.

"The fuck is going on, eh?! First, you disappear for a week and now I heard you fucking moving out! Where the fuck did this come from so suddenly!?", he shouted at the young teen in demand.

Izuku, looking and acting scared as a shaken leaf, poked his fingers and fumbled over his words to make a feasible excuse. "Oh, uh, yeah. It, uh, also came up suddenly for me too, Kaachan. My, um, mom's work is, uh, transferring her.", he babbled.

"So I guess that'll mean I won't see your useless ass in school anymore, eh?", he asked before a sadistic grin reached around his face and he spat at him, "Good. I don't wanna see your quirkless nobody self again. Maybe you'll finally get it through your head to quit that stupid dream of yours since you'll probably be nowhere near any good hero school, especially U.A."

Izuku sank his head down in dejected shame as Bakugou looked at him with a shit-eating grin. At this point, Ash had had all he could take and loomed over the boy while saying through a growl, "Oh I wouldn't be so sure of any of that."

Bakugou, who for some reason hadn't noticed, finally saw Ash, and Ash ate up how his expression did a complete 180. His cocky snive expression fell flat to the floor as he saw the huge pale man with glowing eyes and an intense aura wafting off him like stink lines in a dump. It was like watching a small dog with large dog syndrome finally realize the size difference from a grown wolf.

However, Bakugou was able to keep his composure and reply in defiance, "Eh? Who the fuck is this?!"

"OH! UM! He's uh….", Izuku fumbled over himself, trying fast to think up an excuse.

Ash jumped in fast and covered for him, saying, "I'm his uncle, Ashton Smith. Everyone calls me Ash. You must be one of Izuku's…..associates, no?", he asked while holding out his hand to shake.

"Ass huh?", Bakugou said back with a snarky smile at his name.

Ash narrows his sharp eyes and tightly grips the boy's hand while stating, "How about you just call me Mr. Smith you little smart mouth."

"Hey! Let go of me you freak!", Bakugou protests as his hand is gripped in the men's clad grip.

Ash raises an eyebrow and says to him while tightening his grip even further, "My my, you're quite the little monster, eh? I should know a lot about monsters since I'm paid to kill them."
"Fuck! I said let go! You're crushing my hand!", Bakugou cried out in pain, dropping to his knees while trying to pull his hand free.

"But since you think you sit atop the food chain, allow me to leave you with some imparting wisdom.", he offers while pulling him back up to his feet and scooping his head to hold it still as he places his lips to his ear, whispering, "There's always a bigger fish ready to swallow you whole. And you're not even half as big as you think yourself to be."

Ash finally lets go of Bakugou, allowing him to fall back to his knees, but not before cutting the hand he was crushing with his claws!

"Ow! You fucker! You cut me! Are you fucking crazy or something?!", he yells at him while gripping his bleeding hand.

Ash smiles sadistically at this and says back with an unapologetic voice, "Oh sorry about the claws. And as for your other statement, that's still to be decided by a team of therapists."

Bakugou's eyes widened with confusion and fear at this statement, and he flet a cold shiver run up his spine as he saw the man's unconcerned and seemingly nonchalant expression. Before Bakugou could get back into it, he heard his mom yelling his name and giving the boy a good excuse to exit without looking like a complete coward.

"KATSUKI! I TOLD YOU TO SAY GOODBYE! NOT TO AGITATE THEM!", she yelled at full volume from across the street.

"SHUT IT HAG!", Bakugou yelled back at her in the same volume before turning back and pointing at Ash with his bloody hand, "This aint over you pale freak!"

Ash smiles with narrowed eyes as he says in reply to the fleeing boy, "Oh, believe me, it ain't. And by the way, Izuku does have a quirk now."

Upon hearing this, Bakugou pauses and is about to turn around with the most genuinely shocked expression he had ever made. An expression that Ash was just dying to see from his smug know it all face. Though he never even got to turn his face half way around before his mother yelled at him again.

"KATSUKI!", she yelled in command, making the boy drop his head and run back toward his house with his tail tucked between his legs.

Booking it back inside his house while keeping his bleeding hand covered from her sight. Running past her and Inko without a second word, leaving both women confused. Once he was gone, Ash looked down at the hand that drew blood for the explosive teens hand. He wasted no time in sucking and licking up the blood in seconds. After swallowing the blood, he made a sour face and shook his head to alleviate the horrid taste in his mouth!

"Yuck! Rotten! Though I shouldn't be surprised.", he said while smacking his long tongue out to rid himself of the flavor.

Once he was sure the taste was gone he cracked his neck and said to Izuku, "I think that's the hardest I've had to hold myself back to not bite someone.", Izuku said nothing in reply and Bakugou looked down at him while asking further, "I'm guessing that little shit is somehow related to you, a 'friend' if I can guess?", again he said nothing and only looked down while acting fearful and submissive. Ash took the hint and placed his hands up defensively while saying, "Alright, alright. I won't press the subject further."

Izuku seemed to be relieved by this and gave a small smile, though he didn't point in his direction. Before Ash could change the subject or try and bring back the inquisitive Izuku before, Inko walked over with a woman who looked like the female version of Bakugou. Nearly making the vampire do a double-take.

"Ash, this is my childhood friend Mitsuki.", Inko introduced the woman before saying to her, "Mitsuki, this is Ashton Smith."

Ash quickly placed out his hand and greeted her saying, "Just Ash is fine, it's nice to meet you, even under these circumstances."

Mitsuki took his hand, although begrudgingly, and craned her head up just to meet his overwhelming eyes. She blinked a few times to keep her composure and replied out of the blue, "My, you sure are tall…..and pale."

"I get that a lot.", Ash's sweat dropped with half lid eyes in an awkward tone.

Then Mitsiku asked the big question that nearly blew their cover. "So how are you related? You look American if I'm not mistaken."

This realization hit all three people standing there and Inko was the first one to try and scramble for a believable explanation, babbling out, "Oh! Um…."

But yet again, Ash stepped in and made something up on the spot, telling her, "I'm Izuku's uncle. It's a long story, our family is a bit convoluted."

This seemed to work for the woman and she whistled in impressment, turning to her friend and saying with intrigue, "Wow Inko, you never told me your family had history."

"Well….you know me.", Inko replied awkwardly, while trying to play it off as her usual self.

Then Ash saw a chance at something and directed the woman away, offering to her, "Say, since we have a bit of time before the movers take everything, how about we make small talk. Inko tells me a lot about you. So let's get to know each other a bit more before going, yeah? I hardly get to meet new people, due to my work, and besides, I think Izuku and Inko have something to discuss."

"We do?", they both asked, to which he gave them an intense look as if saying with his eyes 'YES! You do!' And promptly left with Mitsuki, leaving both of them behind.

"That sounds nice. Sure, let's chew the cloth, as they say in America.", was the last thing the son and mother heard from Mitskui before she walked off with Ash, far out of talking distance.

Once they are gone the mother and son are left in a very heavy silence of awkward feeling that seems to block out all distractions around them. After a long silence of just staring at one another and having no idea what to say, Izuku finally speaks up and tries to start a conversation…..tries.

"M-Mom.", he says.

"I-Izuku.", Inko says back, leading back into their award silence once again.

Izuku took a deep breath and swallowed hard. He said, "I, um, I just, I think. UGH! I don't know where or how to start."

"Neither do I.", Inko admitted as Izuku grabbed his hair in frustration. The silence took over once more until Inko decided to pipe up and ask, "Izuku. Was I the reason for…you know-."

"Stop.", he cut her off in a small tone, making the woman look up from the ground where he exploded in front of her, "Just stop it already! Stop blaming yourself for everything that happens to me! Every time you do, I feel as if it's my fault. It eats away at me!"

"What?", Inko asked in shock while covering her mouth.

"I can't take it when you cry about me or for me or anything regarding me! I just can't take it!", Izuku half yells while gripping his hair and fracking himself to look at the ground. He was half ready to yank it out completely as he continued begrudging himself, "Why do you worry so much? Why do you care? I'm just the quirkless son who's been nothing but trouble for you!"

"IZUKU!", Inko yelled while slapping him across his face. This made Izuku pause and unclutch his hair as he looked at his mother with shock and confusion on his face. The shorter woman was breathing heavily and red in the face as she asked, "Is that honestly how you think I feel about you, truly?", Izuku said nothing as he looked away with tears in his eyes. Inko gently grabbed his face, forcing the boy to look at her as she told him with tears in her own eyes, "Izuku, I care and worry about you because I'm your mother. And because I love you, no matter what! I never once felt ashamed about you being quirkless, never! You couldn't control that. All I wanted is for you to have a normal life, one free of expectations and cruel misjudgment."

Izuku bit his lower lip at her words and closed his eyes while asking on the verge of sobbing, "Then what about that day? When I was told I was quirkless, and when I asked you if I could still be a hero."

Inko felt shocked and surprised to run up her body and she asked in a small voice, "You remember that."

"Every day. Why did you answer the way you did or didn't answer at all.", Izuku asked her back in an even smaller tone.

This time it was Inko's turn to look away in shame as she told him with a shaky tone, "I couldn't tell you the truth and crush your hopes and dreams so young, but I also couldn't just lie and tell you yes. So at that moment, the only thing I could think of was to hug you and apologize for not being able to pass a quirk to you."

"STOP! I said just stop! Stop blaming yourself for me! You couldn't control how I came out!", He cut her off while pulling away her hands and half yelling at her.

"And neither could you!", Inko shouted back.

Another heavy silence fell before them and the two people dropped their heads in frustration, exhaustion, and shame. Izuku wipes the tears threatening to spill from his eyes and states, "It seems we have not been communicating properly…at all….have we?"

"No.", Inko agrees with him.

Another yet shorter silence stopped their conversation before Izuku lifted his head and broke the tension, saying to his mother, "I'm sorry mom. I'm sorry I couldn't trust you enough to tell you the truth. I just didn't want to worry you. I know you got it just as bad as me when everyone found out."

Inko lifted her head quickly and apologized back, "I'm sorry I made you feel that way. I'm sorry for making you feel so incurred for all these years. I'm sorry for putting so much imaginary pressure on you. I'm sorry for not being a better mother and taking notice of what was happening. I should've been better."

"I should've been better!", Izuku reiterated her own words.

Without sparing another moment, the two of them embraced one another in a tight hug! Izuku nuzzles his head into his mother's shoulder and Inko into her sons. They both silently cried for a few minutes and just stood there in one another's grasp.

As they held one another, Inko said to him, "I promise things will be different from here on."

"Same.", Izuku replied while sniffling back his sobs. Then the tension rose back up again as Izuku said out of the blue, "Mom. I know what happened to dad."

Inko shuddered in her son's embrace as he slowly pulled away and looked at her with a somber tone. He sighed sadly and told the shaken woman, "I know you never had the heart to tell me, that's why you made up that story.", he looked away from her as he told her, "He's in America, true, but not for work, but to be away from….me."

Inko gently cradled his face with one hand and pointed him back into her own eyes as she said in an apologetically shameful tone, "So much had happened to you in such a short time when you turned 4. I thought you'd snap. I'm sorry for lying."

Izuku gently held her hand back and closed his tearing-up eyes while saying, "So am I."

As they both embraced each other once more in their self-pity and shame, Mitsuki and Ash had seemingly long finished whatever they were talking about and watching the two of them from a distance, but clear out of any sort of audible range to hear anything that was happening.

"What the heck is going on over there? Seems pretty heavy.", Mitsuki asked with a wide-eyed and confused gaze.

"The first big step in healing a tattered bond.", Ash answered with a smile on his face and a proud tone.

"What?", the blond woman asked back, confused by his words.

"Oh nevermind. I think those two are done.", Ash laughed while waving her off and changing their topic telling her with his charm ability, "Either way it was really nice getting to know you Bakugou-chan."

Mitsuki giggles, allowing the charm to work and making her forget about before, and telling him, "Please, call me Mitskui. Any family or friend of Inko and Izuku is one of mine. If your work ever sends you out, here again, pop by and we'll have dinner, yeah? Hopefully, my husband will be around next time so you two can speak."

Ash smiles at this, always up for socialization, and takes her up on her offer, telling her, "Sounds wonderful, but I do have very strict dietary requirements."

"Raw meat right? Same with Izuku. That just so happens to be one of my favorites.", she tells the initially shocked vampire who internally sighs with relief at her explanation.

"Well If I'm in the area, I'll send you a buzz.", he tells her back, accepting the offer.

Before anything else could happen between the four people, Jessica marched over to Ash and grabbed his pointed ear while dragging her back over to Izuku and Inko, telling all of them, "I hope you all have made your peace and said your goodbyes cause it's time to go."

Mitsuki looked over at the house and quickly took a look inside and she saw it had been completely cleaned out! Only the faded marks from furniture and Izuku's drawings still stayed on the walls. The shocked woman came back out where she saw the 'movers' loading in the last boxes.

She trotted over to the groups and stated aloud with amazement, "That's the fastest moving company I've ever seen."

"You have no idea.", Ash's side mouthed to her, leaning down to her level in an attempt to make sure Jessica wasn't listening.

Mitsuki then sighed and wrapped Inko in a hug while saying, "Oh, I'm gonna miss you so much! Keep in touch, Inko."

"Me too Mitsuki, and I will.", Inko replied while hugging her friend back.

"And you.", she posted to a shocked Izuku before wrapping him around in a hug, squeezing him tightly. "Take care of yourself and always do your best. I'm sure the future is gonna look even brighter for you!", she told him with a smile.

Izuku smiled sadly at her and replied, "Thanks Auntie, I'll miss you and uncle too."

Mitsuki then went to leave, and just before leaving the Midoriya's property she called out to Izuku with a raised fist and excited smile, "And congrats on that new quirk of yours. I was always worried you wouldn't make your dream come true, but now you got life by the balls, so make 'em squeal!"

Izuku's sweat dropped awkwardly at her wording and called back as honestly as he could, "I….will…."

Once Mitskui was back in her house, the woman and two vampires were semi-forcibly loaded into the armor-plated truck that the five soldiers and Jessica came in. Once they were seated and buckled in the driver took off at an alarmingly fast speed! Izuka was sandwiched in between his mother and Ash, while Jessica was seated next to Inko, and four of the five soldiers of Alpha 10 were seated across from them. While the fifth soldier was at the wheel in the very front.

The four soldiers nervously looked at Izuku as he sat there clutching his mother's hand on his own. Izuku couldn't help but stare back at the men, sensing both their fear and their threat to him. He was on edge as the men shook in their seats and glazed their fingers over their guns. Inko even noticed this and held her son's hand a little bit tighter out of fear, simultaneously making Izuku more nervous and perceptive of the armed guards.

Ash could see What was going on and what was about to happen and quickly put a stop to it yelling at one man who already had his hands wrapped around his rifle, "HEY!", nearly everyone in the armored car jumped in their seats as they all set their eyes on him. Ash disapprovingly looked at the man holding his gun and told him off, "Don't glare at them! They're far less dangerous than you!"

The man gulped down a shaky breath and replied to him, "I'm mostly worried about the kid, sir."

Ash rolls his eyes and assures him bluntly, "He's fed and calm for the most part. I'm the one you should worry about going berserk. I can restrain him if need be. Now at ease, soldier."

The man looks back at Izuku, who's already starting to get more and more tense, places his gun off to the side, and apologetically says back, "Yes sir, sorry sir."

The heavy silence once again fell over the car as everyone tried to avoid eye contact with one another or did some other small insignificant thing to keep their minds preoccupied and away from stress. Izuku, who had forgotten his phone in his room and was probably now with all the other packed items, saw to it to do something that he had gained a slight habit of quite recently. That being playing with his fangs. Poking them with his fingertips and scraping along with them with his sharp nails, even looking at them with his tongue.

Ash rolled his eyes at seeing Izuku do this and forcibly took his hand out of his mouth while firmly telling him, "Izuku, don't play with your fangs, you'll cut yourself. Trust me."

Izuku begrudgingly placed his hand down and looked towards the ground in boredom. After what seemed like a long time of waiting, Inko started to get impatient and nervous with everything that was still present, and as nicely as she could, asked a question.

"H-How long will this trip take?", she asked aloud, trying to smile to make it look inquisitive.

"About 35 minutes.", the driver announced.

"How long has it been?", Izuku asked.

"5.", Ash answered while looking at his phone.

Inko mentally groaned in aggravation of stress at this news and let her head slump down. Seeing no way to rectify the situation they were in, Izuku took it upon himself to try and make some form of small talk to make time go by quicker.

He looked at the uptight woman sitting next to his mother and asked politely, "Um, Stout-sama?"

Jessica cut her m off with a stern raise of her hand and told him bluntly, "Call me Jessica and drop the sama. If you wanna be respectful, call me ma'am."

"Uh, Ms. Jessica ma'am, what exactly is it your group does?", Izuku reiterated his previous statement as politely as he could.

Jessica took a cigar out from her coat and lit it with a match before explaining, "Basically we are an underground government branch separate and unknown from every other system of government on the planet. We act as a sort of defense and police group to the Supernatural. Thus our name; The Worldwide Association of Supernatural Enforcement, or W.A.S.E for short."

Ash jumped in and added, "We make sure that the supernatural and fictional stay just that. Fiction and folk tales."

"So all those urban legends are true?", Izuku asked with anxious curiosity.

Ash rapidly nodded his head and confirmed, "Oh yeah! Bigfoot, the yeti, loch ness monster, werewolves, unicorns, pixies, gnomes, they're just as real as you and I."

"So what are you doing here in Japan, shouldn't you be in America or something?", Inko inquires.

"Normally yes, that's our main base of operation. But recently there has been a lot of supernatural activity going on here in Japan. A lot of the exotic kind if you get what I mean.", Jessica informs them.

Inko takes a moment to process this and exclaims in fright, "Were being invaded!?"

Ash jumps in and quickly puts her mind at ease…..sorta He shakes his head and tells her in a reassuring tone, "Not exactly, you Japanese have always had a lot of fucked up shit to deal with in your history. The Yoki if I remember correctly. You're just under the presence of monsters, cults, and illegal trades that shouldn't be native to Japan."

"And as the leader of the W.A.S.E, it's my duty to be there where the most trouble is brewing. Thus Ash and my presence.", Jessica finished up his explanation.

Seeing the worried expression on both people's faces, Ash knew that they were thinking about how the rest of the world would fare without their leadership.

He then waved his hand nonchalantly and told them, "We've got plenty of agents all over the world to take care of things, so neither Jes nor I have to be everywhere at once. Just where things are really bad. We might be here for a few years before we go back to America or until some other place on earth has problems. "

"That sure is a lot to take in. What do you do with the creatures when you find them?", Inko asked, absorbing everything at once.

"Well if they're endangered or just willing to come quietly, we'll just capture and relocate them to their natural areas. If they're mindless or savage or just an invasive nuisance, we usually just kill them.", Jessica told them forwardly.

"Mostly killing.", Ash added in with a chipper tone.

A silence filled the area as both people stared uncomfortably yet how both of them could say these things so fluently and chipper.

"Isn't that a little harsh?", Inko prompted further, to find a bit of dignity and humanity in this conversation.

"Trust me, you don't want a whole herd of pixies running wild and alive!", Ash told her straight up and vaguely.

Jessica rolled her eyes at his lackluster explanation and informed them more thoroughly, "They're like pigeons. They can navigate back to anywhere they've been before or call home."

"I…see.", Inko drew out a sweat drop.

After that, the conversation fell off and the same silence dropped once again in the armored car as everyone uncomfortably shifted in their seats. Attempting to do something to alleviate the awkward tension. Ash managed to help keep Izuku distracted by playing some games on his phone and letting the boy watch him. Jessica even chipped in and offered Inko some scotch from a thermos she had on her.

This all seemed to help a bit as the destination was finally reached as the driver made a hard stop! Everyone jutted to the front but stayed out thanks to their full-body seat belts.

Once the whiplash went away, the driver said over his shoulder in a deadpan voice, "We're here."

As they all filled out on wobbly legs, heads still unclear from whiplash, Inko took note of where they were and at first seemed confused. Then once her head cleared a bit more she was hit by a wave of nostalgia.

"Wait wait wait! Hold on a second here!", she shouted while waving her hands, as everyone stopped to look at her. "I know this area. I'm just 20 minutes from my office by taxi!", she exclaimed with shock.

"And U.A isn't too far off from here either!", Izuku added, once he also realized the general area they were in.

"Huh, convenient.", Ash said back with an unbothered shrug.

"Well that makes things easier for all of us.", Jessica said with a bit of relief in her voice.

"But I don't get it. I thought you were gonna take us to some underground facility in the middle of some forest on the edges of nowhere and nothing! But I know this part of the city and especially this building! I've done business here before!", Inko frantically asked in utter confusion.

Ash laughs at her franticness, making the woman feel insulted, and he tells her, "That's just how it looks on the outside. The best place to hide is in plain sight after all.", he laughs again as he tries hard to tell her, "Thought you weren't too far off about the 'Underground' part."

Inko thinks about his tone and wording, then her eyes grow wide as she realizes what he means and asks back, "You don't mean?", to which he nods before bursting out laughing.

"And besides that, we got plenty of bases than this one. This is just the main HQ or the biggest one anyway.", Jessica adds in a bit more somberly.

"Good heavens.", Inko says while looking faint at all the information given and teeters back, nearly falling over before one of the soldiers catches her.

After Inko is calmed down and steady on her feet, she is helped inside by the soldier. Jessica follows behind and Ash stays back trying to calm himself down from his laughter. He grabs Izuku before he too can follow his mother and wraps his long arm around his shoulder, making him look at the building before motioning to it and telling him like a nostalgic tour guide.

"Take a good look at it, Izuku. This is gonna be your new home and heaven for a while. This is where you'll eat, sleep, learn, and train for the wider world ahead.", He tells him with the starry-eyed gaze of a trained master boasting about his dojo.

It takes Izuku several minutes before finally working up the courage to speak and ask timidly, "Am…..am I gonna be alright?"

This question knocks Ash out of his starry-eyed daydreaming and looks down at him. He smiles comfortingly before kneeling down to his eye level and placing both hands on his shoulders.

Looking him in the eye and telling him seriously but passionately, "Well that's totally up to you, but as I've said before I'll help guide you through every step of the way. And I meant it. You may not become the hero you want to be, But you'll definitely become one regardless. I believe in you."

At this Izuku can't help but smile a little bit back at him and before even he could realize what he was doing, embraced him in a hug to which Ash gave back.

Hey Guys, sorry about not updating in forever. Blah! I was trying to finish up this one arc on another story I was doing and didn't realize how long it would honestly take me to finish. By the time I did, I was already spent and had forgotten about this story and fell off interest. But then someone committed to me about it and I got the drive back again. Needless to say, I've just been busy with life and my other stories that everyone is dying to see. So I haven't had time for this one I fell off of. I'll try to update from now on since people are interested in it, even after all this time. But no promises.

Anyhow, I'm sure you all are wondering about some things about vampires, well…I can't remember all the things I thought up about them. Oops. I do recall some things so if you have questions I'll either tell you or let you know that it'll be brought up in later chapters.

Anyhow, I just wanna explain the Vamp hierarchy since we don't wanna explain it in the story. So here's the cast system amongst the undead and a few of the many species;

Lower Bottom: Undead/Slaves (Slava)

These are the bulk of the vampire race and yet they are not true vampires at the same time. Mindless servant to the vampires above them and created by them through several means for nothing more than protection and servitude.

They are composed of : Ghouls, Hellhounds, Shadow Mastiffs, Blink Dogs, and Gargoyles.

Mid Bottom: Lower Vampire (Hunclene)

These vampires are what apes are to humans. Despite being vampires by blood, these creatures act and look more like animals. They have no thought, language, or advanced system of governing and reproduce the quickest of all vampires. Certain members of this branch can become higher vampires through time or feeding as they are born and raised to be animalistic.

They are composed of : Ekimma, Fleder, Garkain, Plumard, Nosferatu, Katakan, and Mula.

High Bottom: Acolytes

There are two different kinds of these vampires. The first are humans who were given vampire blood before being completely drained of their own. The second is half vampires, vampires who have one vampire parent and one parent who isn't a vampire. They act as higher-class servants taking jobs as informants, priests, personal guards, and so forth.

They are composed of : True Acolytes and False Vampires.

Lower Middle: Babies/Children (Fledglings)

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category fall into this category at some point in their lives. They are made up of young, newly born, or inexperienced vampires.

They are composed of any vampire race no matter if they are Higher or Lower.

True Middle: Riff Raff

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category can fall into this category. It refers to vampires who don't act as they should in society. Basically edgy and rebellious teenagers and adult gang members. They can't hold a higher or lower rank in society and stay there until they 'wise up'.

They are composed of any group of Higher Vampire that simply acts as street rats.

High Middle: Commoners

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category can fall into this category. These vampires are made up of the average adult vampire and have no real significance apart from being heads to count in the census. Just your average blood-sucking joe schmo.

They are composed of: Nosferatu, Katakan, Mula, Alp and Alpo, Bruxa and Bruxo, Streaklets, Alchema, Denseadies, Vlads, and Kardacana.

Lower High: Lower Lords and Ladies

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category can fall into this category though cannot or simply don't. A higher evolution of the vampires, these vampires come from two different ways. Being born one or gaining power through a long life, mass consumption, or forced rituals to activate the evolution. They sit at the top of all other vampires but directly below all higher royalty.

They are composed of any of the higher races that have found a way to evolve.

Middle High: Vampire Nobel

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category can fall into this category though cannot. In order to become a Nobel, one must either evolve into one from a Lower Lord or be born as one, which is often rare. They are the least abundant but hold the most sway and power in any society. Making most of the rules, laws, and other regulations that vampires follow diligently.

They are composed of any of the higher races that have found a way to evolve. Though notable species include: Nosferatu, Streaklets, Alchema, Denseadies, Vlads, and Kardacana.

True High: Blood Lord's

All vampires of every tribe or race of the "Higher" category can fall into this category though cannot. Such a feat is simply impossible for nearly any vampire as the evolutionary requirements are near impossible to follow to the T. Requiring life lived of exceeding time, absorbents amounts of blood, nie impossible task and feats that no vampire can do, and extreme power and control over their own body and magic. This group of vampires range in the single digits and hold the entire sway and control of all and any vampire the rain and rule over, though very few do as they prefer isolation and let Nobel's do their job for them. They have the most respect for any vampire and power that is unquantifiable by any means.

The few well-known True Blood Lords are composed of a Vlad, a Nosferatu, and a Kardacana.

Just note that there are many subclasses and subgroups amongst both the hierarchy and different races. These are just the main points of the bread and butter. Hope you enjoyed this chapter and hope you stay tuned for the next one. Whenever it comes out.
