Author's Note: Hello all. So, here's another chapter. I'm actually pretty happy with it and more so, I'm super relieved it's finished. It was absolutely huge. It was 40 pages on google docs which is insane. That means the next one I post has a possibility of being a lot smaller cos' I am not writing another 40 page chapter anytime soon lmao.
Eris: Ask and you shall receive! Haha, it's like you knew! See, I was very excited for this one cos it's the whole external gang too which now they've been mentioned, I'm gonna throw them in some more here and there.
I'm happy to finally have other characters in it too besides just the main five. It will still be the main five for the majority of chapters but the others will be in them, here and there. ^.^
I also gave myself something super indulgent in this chapter adn that was Kory and Wally banter bc I have such a love for the idea that Dick's bestie and his lady love are buds too. It's fun. I love it. I will continue to throw it in whenever Wally makes an appearance. No, no one can stop me. XD
Uh what else... Jenii is the AU name I'm giving Jinx and I'm spelling it like that... just cos' I can and it's fun and different. *shrug*
So, obviously where the chapter is so long, some words are repeated... a lot. Sorry about that one but there's only so many ways you can describe cameras moving and a flashlight filling a room and movement when you're the one behind the camera.
Side note for anyone that is bothered but there is more swearing in this cos' let's face it when a group of friends get together, it's always a little more rowdy than usual.
Hope you enjoy reading this one as much as I enjoyed writing and conceiving this idea. Don't forget to comment! Thanks!

The camera jiggled back and forth as Gar shook it excitedly, grinning into the lens of the camera. He moved it, holding it high in the air to get a full shot of the bustling room behind him. He didn't have to wait long for the group of people in the kitchen alongside him to stop doing whatever they were doing and look up or over at him.
"Whaaat's up guys, it's ya boi, Gar and welcome back to the best channel on YouTube!" Gar greeted, beaming to the point his teeth flashed under the gaze of the camera,
Someone who was off screen snorted, "I mean… that's debatable-"
Without his expression even wavering, Gar shot a look to the left, "Heh, screw youuu, Vic."
In turn, Vic poked his head around the edge of the camera and grinned to Gar's viewers. Shoving him out of the shot, Gar cleared his throat, "Anyway, I have another video for you today and we happen to have some new faces who you might not have met before!"
Gar jostled his camera and turned it around so he could point it at certain individuals. He pointed it towards a grinning auburn haired guy who had lime green eyes and freckles adorning his fawn face, with many clustered around his nose, as was the case with many individuals with an uneven tan from the sun of summer which had now passed. He wore an off white long sleeved t-shirt with an unbuttoned cobalt overshirt with short sleeves over the top of it. He wore ebony skinny jeans with a few stylish rips in them and a pair of bright mustard socks on his feet.
"This is Wally. You've probably heard his name thrown around before in my videos; usually by Dick." Gar explained,
"Hey there, viewers. Yeah, you must have. Dick loves me like… more than he loves Kory so I've definitely been mentioned- ah! Kory!" He was cut off as he jumped away from the scarlet haired girl, kicking a foot towards him.
She was sat on the kitchen counter, towards the back of the shot, with her legs dangling over the edge and Dick standing between them, his back towards her, allowing her to drape her arms over his shoulders as she waited for Gar to talk for his video.
Dick crossed his arms over his chest and smirked at Kory's near hit of his best friend, "She doesn't like liars." He murmured,
Wally pulled a mock expression of woe, "You're telling me I'm not the person you love most in the world!?"
Dick snorted, "No."
Grinning, Wally turned his nose up and huffed, "Well, aren't you just a little bitch."
The dark haired man chuckled whilst Kory smiled at the banter, before returning her attention to Gar as he continued.
Turning the camera ever so slightly, "There's Jenii; Wally's girlfriend."
The girl in question was a petite thing with shoulder length hair that was dyed a shockingly sweet, cotton candy pink shade. Her skin was pale, akin to winter moonlight; and her eyes were almost grey with how light they appeared to be. She wore an eggplant coloured sweatshirt dress that cut off just above her knees. She wore black fishnet tights that were only a little visible considering she also wore black knee high socks.
She smiled and lifted a hand, giving the audience a small wave before Wally bundled her up in a side hug, "There we go! I know someone who loves me most in the world!"
Jenii smirked and gently tapped his cheek, before making a show of glancing around, "Oh? Who? Where are they?"
He narrowed his chartreuse eyes at her but smiled and released her only a little, settling with holding her around the waist from behind.
Gar chuckled at the couple and swiveled the camera some more, "Then there's Roy; that guy sitting on the floor playing with Silkie."
Tilting the camera downwards, the ginger haired man with a backwards black and white baseball cap on his head lifted his chin to grin at the camera, his maya blue eyes briefly closing, "Hey. If there's a dog in a social situation, dude… I'm hanging out with the dog."
He had a sandy complexion, smooth with hints of gold and copper in the undertones. Roy wore a soft, charcoal sweater, loose and oversized to allow comfort. He had dark skinny jeans on his bottom half; his socks a tame dark shade as well.
"I mean… that's fair." Gar nodded and smirked, moving his camera across to a somewhat familiar face who immediately perked up and waved towards the lens,
"Hiya Gar's subscribers!" She called, leaning her shoulder against Vic who stood beside her, smiling contently at her interaction,
"Ha, so guys, that's Karen. You've heard about her and sorta met her in my last video - the one with Vic's rainbow room."
"I still need to fix that…" Vic mumbled to himself,
"Baby, didn't you mention you loved it and you wanted to keep it as it is?" Karen joked, smirking up at him,
Vic scrunched up his face and gently bumped her hip with his own, knocking her off balance a little, "Har har… you're hilarious."
Her lusciously texturised hair was the colour of pure midnight, held up in a matching pair of space buns, a few pristine curls and coils framing her face. Her skin was akin to smoky quartz, warm toned and supple and her eyes appeared as an amber tinted umber colour.
Karen wore a rich honey coloured crop top, the hem just around her ribs, with the short sleeves loose around her upper arms. With a patch of her stomach revealed, she wore a pair of grey sweatpants and white ankle socks on her feet.
"You don't need to tell me that." She hummed, patting her boyfriend's arm, "I already know I'm hilarious."
Gar chuckled from behind the camera and swiveled it again, focusing it on the island counter in the middle of the kitchen. where Raven stood with another one of their friends. Several pizza boxes lay abandoned on the island, some empty and some with a few slices left untouched inside. Soda cans were scattered around the boxes too; a clear sign of a feast.
Raven stood with her arms crossed over her chest, leaning back against the edge of the island, one of their friends stood beside her, sipping at a can of coca-cola.
Her skin was rose tinted milk with sunkissed rouge lips. Her onyx hair was silky and trailed down her back, ending just below her shoulders.
She smiled as Gar turned the camera towards her, "And this is Donnaaa!"
Donna laughed and politely waved, "Hi there, Gar's viewers."
Small silver star earrings adorned her earlobes and her cerulean eyes sparkled under the camera's gaze as she stared back at it. She wore a baggy, wine coloured sweater that hung off of one shoulder. There were dual white stripes on each of the long sleeves and she paired it with a set of ink black leggings; matching socks on her feet.
"Uh… I'm sorry, why didn't I get a musical note on my name?" Roy asked from where he was rubbing Silkie's belly on the kitchen floor still.
Donna rolled her eyes and tilted her head at him, "Ah, get over it, Harper. You're just obviously not as special."
Roy turned his head and made a face of mock offense, pressing a hand to his chest for extra effect. Donna grinned and shook her head, taking another swig of her drink.
Gar chuckled at the pair and spun the camera around and moved so that the lens caught not only his face but all of his friends that were hanging out behind him as well.
"So, those are the newbies. As you can tell, they are all very excited to be a part of this video." Gar commented,
"Lower your expectations. It's a so-so experience." Dick called from near the back of the kitchen, snickering to himself with Vic chortling alongside him.
"Shut your face, Dick. You know you actually love it though. Your life would be so dull without me filming most of the time." Gar countered, giving him the finger with a grin on his face,
"Riiight…" Dick murmured, reaching back to grab his beverage from the counter.
"Ahem! Anyways… those are our friends. Obviously, you guys already know Dick, Kory, Rae and Vic from previous videos." He paused, "But tonight, we've got the whole gang here for our weekly pizza night where we just hang out, eat and do… not a lot. Watch movies, play games, catch up with each other… that kinda stuff."
"Wow, make our lives sound more exciting, why don't you." Roy laughed,
Gar smirked and shrugged before eyeing the camera again, "Anyway… I had an idea of what we could do tonight since we're bored and just lazing around. I thought… why not play a game of Hide & Seek?"
"Ooooh… I'm down for that." Wally stated, slapping his hands together with a competitive look on his face,
Gar smiled, "So, if you haven't already, go and check out the first Hide & Seek we did which was actually just the housemates when we were at a store." He paused, "But, we'll do it with a bit of a twist. We'll play it in the dark since having the lights on will make it just… way too easy to find people."
"Ooh, spooky." Vic commented, smirking from where he stood towards the edge of the shot.
"You guys will all find a place to hide and then I'll come and seek with just my camera and the camera light."
Jenii tilted her head, "What's the prize for winning?"
Gar tapped his chin and considered, "Hmm… how about… whoever has the best spot and is found last aka wins, doesn't have to chip in for pizza next week. They can order whatever they want and I'll pay for it. How's that sound?"
There was a unanimous chorus of mumbles and agreement as the group nodded their heads.
"I'm thinking… potato wedges, maybe some nachos… mozzarella sticks are super good from the place we order from…" Wally listed, counting sides on his fingers whilst he smirked,
"Dude, that's only if you win." Dick chuckled,
"You mean when I win, Dickie boy." Wally responded, rolling his shoulders in preparation for the game to come.
"So… some rules to be aware of for the game…" Gar cited, waving a hand, "You can hide upstairs, downstairs and in the backyard but no one's allowed to go on the roof since that's just inviting trouble. Uh… you can't move spots so choose your hiding spot wisely cos' that's your only one allowed."
"I already have a spot in mind so no one else better take it!" Roy announced, glancing at the others,
"Is it under the table?" Donna smirked, having seen where he had been looking.
Roy paused and his eyes shifted left and right before he narrowed his eyes at her, "God damn it, Donna."
She burst out laughing, half surprised she was actually correct.
"The lights have all gotta be off once I come in from out front where I'll be counting. Um… what else…"
"Are you going to ask us to do the recording thing again?" Raven asked,
"Oh! Yeah, thanks for reminding me, babe. When you guys find your hiding spots, can you film yourselves on your phones? It's helpful for when I edit the video together."
Several of them nodded along to his instructions as he explained them whilst the others shot each other challenging grins and looks.
"And one last thing… once you've been found, go sit out on the couch in the main room. That can be the losers corner." Gar said, turning to look at each of them, "Everyone clear and ready to start?"
"Yeaaah." Came multiple voices with a couple affirmative grunts and 'mhm' sounds.
Turning the camera back towards himself, Gar beamed and walked into the hallway, with a few of them following him out to start plotting where to hide, "Alright! You only have five minutes, starting from when I get out the door so move your asses!" He yelled, reaching for the front door handle,
Gar stepped outside into the early autumn evening where the sun had long since set and the sky was awash with obsidian; tiny stars dotted across the galaxy.
"Damn, it's pretty out tonight." Gar said in awe as he pointed the lens upwards so his viewers could see the spectacle that he was seeing, "It probably looks absolutely crap on camera. Natural beauty never looks as good on film… there was definitely some kinda deep wisdom in that but heck if I know where."
He sighed and flipped the camera back towards his face as he took a seat on the edge of the fountain placed in the centre of the driveway, with the water and the black iron fencing surrounding their home in the background of the shot,
"Alright… now… we count."
[JENII CAM]
The screen wobbled slightly and a flash of pink hair filled the picture as Jenii stumbled back against the wall, "Ah shit… I thought this would be the least uncomfortable spot but… ow… there's a lot of stuff in here…" She whispered,
She lifted her head and smiled at the camera, her stone eyes darting around her surroundings before she turned on her front light to illuminate the image a bit more, "Hi there… people who follow Gar… um… so I'm hiding in the downstairs closet, under the stairs. I didn't realise they put all the cleaning stuff in here and… God, I'm definitely standing on some kind of… toilet brush or something."
Jenii shifted and dropped her head back against the wall, panting, "It's stupidly hot in here too. I'm regretting my decision already but… y'know, it's fine. I can't think of anywhere else that hasn't already been taken so… guess I'm just staying here."
She quietly eeped as something in the closet fell towards her, with Jenii blindly reaching out to stop it, "I'm getting attacked by the mop handle… sheesh… hopefully the stuff in here will stay quiet once Gar is seeking. We'll see how it goes!"
With that, she laughed and winked at the camera.
[ROY CAM]
Rustling reverbeated all around as Roy lifted his phone out in front of him, the front camera clearly focused on his grinning face, "Okay, I don't want to brag here but… suck it, Wally. I've definitely got the best spot." He paused and glanced down, "I don't know if you guys can tell but I'm in the big ass tree they have in their backyard. Since Autumn's just started, the leaves are changing colour but it's still pretty bushy up here… so… hopefully Gar won't see me…"
He ducked his head and narrowed his eyes, frowning, "Ah shit. I think I left the backdoor open. I can see Silkie padding around out here and he did not come out with me. Fuck… do I go and close it… no… wait… yes… no… damn it. I'll leave it and hope Gar just… doesn't make the connection."
Roy readjusted himself as he drew his knees up to his chin and balanced on the thick branch he had found up amongst the tree, "My butt is gonna ache so badly after this. I can already tell." He groaned as he twisted his body left and right, trying to get as comfy as he physically could since he didn't exactly have any cushioning in his spot.
Sniffling quietly, Roy hummed to himself and cursed, "I should have brought my jacket out with me. God knows how long Gar's gonna take to find me." He sighed, "Oh well, guess I'll die."
[KORY CAM]
"Hello Gar's viewers!" Kory beamed as she held her phone above her head, the front facing camera pointing down towards her as she lay on her back, hair spilling out around her like a pool of red.
"So, I have chosen to hide beneath mine and Dick's bed. It is a simple place but the pressure to find a hiding spot began to get to me and I just chose a place at random." She laughed, "I am slightly more hidden as our covers fall to hide the underneath… I am hoping it is good enough so that Gar does not locate me first however, I have very little faith to win. Next time, I need to truly think about the hiding places available to me."
Suddenly, her head turned to the side at the sound of the door opening and someone scrambling into the room, "Psst! Anyone already hiding in here?"
Kory blinked at the sound of Wally's voice and rolled slightly so she could peek her head out from under the bed, "Wally? Yes! I am already in here!"
She moved her phone and tapped the screen to switch to her rear-facing camera, capturing Wally as he squinted in the darkness, "Kory? What are you doing in here?!"
"It is my room!" She squeaked,
He waved his hand dismissively, "Okay, okay. Fair point. Well… we're gonna share!"
"Why!?"
"Because my brain melted on ideas for hiding spots and then I thought of one."
"In my room?"
He wagged his index finger at her, "Ah, ah… yours and Dick's room. And on that note, I'm gonna use his wardrobe to hide."
"Gar will check in the wardrobes." She murmured, watching him intently,
"Oh Kory… I know that." He paused and wheeled Dick's desk chair over to the side of his wardrobe, out of the way so that Gar wouldn't see it immediately.
"Wally, what are you doing?" Kory asked, concern trickling into her voice,
He remained silent, tongue poking out as he clambered onto the chair and gingerly stood up, trying his hardest not to fall.
Planting his hands up onto the flat surface of the wardrobe, he grunted and groaned, hauling himself slowly up the side of the piece of furniture.
Kory eeped, "Please be careful! Wally!"
Wally panted as he continued, finally ending up on his belly on top of the wardrobe and simply laying there for a long stretch of a moment. Kory laughed breathlessly at his antics, especially when he lifted a hand and gave her a 'thumbs up'.
[RAVEN CAM]
Lifting the phone up, Raven lifted her free hand and pressed the screen, turning the camera to face her. She smiled slightly and raised her hand to slowly wave at the camera, "Hi, Gar's people. Um… I'm not… good at this recording myself thing… but… as you can see…"
She gestured around her at the bright yellow and pink background behind her and the blinding lights that lit up all of her features, "I've chosen… a pretty simple hiding place. I'm in the photo booth in the game room and… I think I'll be found pretty early on to be honest. I couldn't think of anywhere else when I was walking around so…"
She glanced down and shifted, bringing her feet up onto the booth seat as well, in a small attempt to conceal herself more.
"Uh… yeah… I mean, I hope I'm not found first but… it's unlikely I'll win, let's face it." Raven commented, shrugging her shoulders.
Gar sucked in a mouthful of air and held it, his cheeks the size of balloons as he occupied himself. After a long minute, he exhaled, making a pinching sound with his lips.
"God… waiting for 5 minutes is so looooong." He complained, looking down as he picked up his phone and turned it over to see the screen, "I still have 2 minutes left on the timer."
He hummed a little tune to himself and bobbed his head back and forth as if listening to music that wasn't actually playing.
Gar looked at the camera and sighed, looking to his right as cars zipped past the house on the street beyond the iron fencing.
[VIC CAM]
"Alright, so… hands down I have the best spot this time around. I was found first when we played this before and I swear to God, I am not losing again this time!" Vic vowed from his dark location.
He grappled with his phone as he continued to record himself with the front facing camera, "I know you can't really see a whole lot and there's a reason for that. I'm in the garage, in my car, down behind the driver's seat… like where the people in the back's feet go."
Vic stretched out a hand, widening the scope of his shot, showing him knelt down in the spot he mentioned, looking fairly uncomfortable with it, "So… it's a tight squeeze but I'll deal if it means winning." He chuckled, but wrapped his fingers in a soft black blanket on the backseats and draped it over himself, "But… I'm gonna use this blanket to cover myself cos' otherwise I think Gar will work it out and check the car."
He chuckled to himself and had a very mischievous glint in his eyes as he slunked down behind the seat, muttering 'ow' every few seconds as he moved.
[DONNA CAM]
Juggling her phone, Donna switched the camera around so it was capturing her and she could see her face on the screen. She turned on the front flashlight and cringed instantly, shying away from it,
"Oh… that was way too bright… can I… make it less…" She grumbled as she fumbled for the settings to lower the brightness so that she could actually see without her retinas burning,
"Oookay… this is a bit better. I'm not being blinded at least, anyway." Donna stated, "Uh… hi there. So… I've probably screwed myself over with my hiding spot. I think Dick and I are in competition with each other on who has the most uncomfortable spot. His is pretty close but y'know what? I think I've got it worse."
All around her was darkness, just shadows cast over her face from the way the light was illuminating her, "I've chosen to hide in the cabinet under the sink. Yep… I'm in the cupboard. Don't ask me how I climbed in here because honestly… I don't even know."
She grimaced and shifted in her spot, turning her head left and right to relieve tension apparently building in her neck, "Okay… ow… this is probably the worst idea. My bones are already complaining but… I don't have time to change it now. Gar's due to come back in in about a minute and a half."
Donna sighed and tried to straighten up as much as she physically could within the confines of the cupboard, "I kind of hope he finds me soon so that my back doesn't get permanently bent in half."
With that, she groaned and lowered her phone to her stomach.
[WALLY CAM]
Panting was all that could be heard until Wally turned his phone over and flipped the camera light on, "I made it. I frickin' made it." He gasped, wiping sweat off his brow, "God, it's hotter than I thought it'd be up here."
There was a quiet giggling that could be heard off camera and Wally couldn't help but laugh a little at himself as well, "Okay, so… being the genius that I am, I decided to hide on top of Dick's wardrobe and I'm not gonna lie to you… if I move to one side more than the other, I can definitely hear the wood creaking. I'm either gonna get found or Dick's wardrobe is gonna collapse and he's gonna be super pissed at me…"
More laughter was pouring out from the middle of the darkened room and Wally shook his head with a smile, "If you can hear that witch cackle, it's Kory. She is finding my spot absolutely hilarious."
He turned his phone to show Kory who had her shoulder and head out from under the bed, giggling away to herself, "Oh, I just… it was you attempting to get up there. But… if the wardrobe breaks, Dick will kill you, Wally."
The red haired man turned the phone back towards himself to reveal his grinning face, "It won't. As long as I just stay really still, It'll be fine." He puffed and winked to the camera, "Wish me luck, Gar's viewers. I'm gonna win it, just you wait."
[DICK CAM]
"Uh… hi there, Gar's followers… I've chosen a spot that I think is actually really good and since I was the winner of the hide and seek game at the store, I feel like I have to keep my streak going. This spot will definitely keep it for me, I think." Dick chuckled, smirking in the relative darkness, aside from the light off of his phone,
As he moved, there was a metallic clang from his elbow hitting something, "Oops… I should probably not move… I'll give myself away to Gar otherwise." He paused and waited, "I'm in the dryer. How I fit, I have no idea but gymnastics and acrobatics is really helping me out here since I'm folded like origami."
There was a beep from his hand and his brows knitted together as he read a new message, "Hang on… Kory's sent me something…" He paused and then his face went slack, with a look of disbelief, "Oh my God… that idiot… so, Kory sent me a picture and it's Wally on top of my wardrobe. I swear to God if that dumbass breaks it, I'm gonna feed him to Silkie."
Dick sighed and typed a warning back to Kory, intended for Wally but returned his attention back to the camera, "So… yep… I'm just sitting here in the dryer but I've got…" He paused and showed a crack in the dryer door, showing that he hadn't locked himself inside or anything, "I've got a gap in the door so that I can see Gar and also give myself some air. I think this is a pretty good spot considering Gar probably won't look in here and he won't notice the door being slightly open since he's seeking in the dark."
He cleared his throat and grinned, "I'm hoping Donna… who's over in the cupboard under the sink… gets found before me anyways." He laughed quietly.
[KAREN CAM]
Waving brightly at the front facing camera of her phone, Karen grinned and tilted her head, "Hi, Gar's subscribers!" She whispered, slipping slightly where she stood, "I've gotta be careful because it's real echoey in here."
She turned the phone sideways, showing a shower curtain and white porcelain before turning it back on herself, "Can you guess where I am?" She paused and giggled at herself, "I'm such an idiot. I'm hiding in Vic's bathroom. I'm in the bath and I've pulled the curtain across so that Gar doesn't see me… not straight away anyways. Let's face it, he's gonna find me since this is such an obvious hiding spot but… damn y'all, it's so hard to think of places when you've got 8 other people also looking for spots!"
Karen sighed and smiled tiredly, "But hey… it could be worse… I could have just… stood behind a lamp or something and hoped Gar wouldn't see me and also… I have a feeling he won't find me first at least because there's quite a few of the others downstairs. He's bound to come across one of them before he finds me… at least, that's what I'm hoping."
She looked down, shifting her weight from foot to foot and snorted, "God, I'll have to watch where I step. Vic's got a lot of shower products in here and I can just see myself knocking one of them over and causing some loud ass bang."
Gar grinned into the lens of his camera and winked, leaning in real close, "Ite… 5 minutes are up. Time to go seek them idiots I call friends. Let's go, dudes." He hushed, spinning the camera around so that it faced the front doors of the house.
He wandered straight up to them and reached a hand out, jiggling the handle before it clicked and allowed him inside. The camera shook as he stepped over the threshold and into the foyer of the house.
It was pitch black and Gar swore, fiddling with the camera settings until a beam of white light appeared from the top, giving him a stream of vision to follow, "Ah… there we go. That's way better. I'd never get anywhere if I was doing this in actual complete darkness."
He cleared his throat and held the camera up, scanning the hallway from left to right, "God… I forget how super creepy the house is in the dark when it's so silent, man. And I'm finding 9 people… shit… that's way more than the store. This is gonna be really difficult. Strap in kids, I have a feeling this video will be a long one but don't worry, I'll try and edit it so that it doesn't drag. Otherwise, get some snacky snacks and some beverages. I think you'll need em'." Gar chuckled,
Stepping further into the hallway, Gar paused and stopped in his tracks, as he considered, "Hm… how am I gonna do this… I think my strategy is just gonna be to go from room to room down here, then go upstairs and see if I find people. So, with that in mind… I think I'll start with… the game room."
He spun to the right and headed for the archway that led into their game room. There were flashes of colour and neon glows around some of the machines where they were in standby mode but it did help in making the room extremely light which made things easier for the seeking aspect for Gar.
"Oookay… let's see…" He mumbled, crouching down and pointing the camera under the pool table, only to find no one there. Gar groaned as he got back up, turning the camera left and right, letting the lens capture the claw machines and pinball machine that were on one side of the room, with the pool table in the middle and skee ball machine on the right hand side of the room, along with a few other ones as well.
He wandered along the edge of the room, shining the light of his camera in every direction, hoping he would catch some kind of movement from one of his friends.
As he reached the other end of the room, where the sofas were pushed against the wall, Gar turned the camera back towards the room for another look before he leaned his shoulders against the side of the photo booth and sighed.
"Okay… so I don't think anyone is-" He abruptly stopped as he had a quiet 'thunk' from inside the photo booth.
Gar leaned away from it and briefly turned the camera to show his grinning face, "I think someone's in there…" He whispered in a sing song tone,
He turned the camera back towards the photo booth and silently crept closer until he was standing directly outside of it. His hand came into frame as his fingers grasped the cloth curtain of the booth.
Suddenly, he yanked it aside, revealing a slightly smirking Raven, leaning back against the wall of the booth, with her legs up and arms crossed over her chest. She tilted her head and eyed Gar, without so much as jumping; clearly unsurprised that she had been found.
"Rae!" He yelped and chuckled, "Well, that was definitely faster than I thought it'd be."
Raven smiled as she lowered her feet down from the bench and stood up, brushing her skinny jeans down, "Yeah… I had half hoped you would start with the garage. I could hear you talking about your 'strategy' but then I heard you come in and knew you'd find me."
"Weirdly, I didn't even think of checking the photo booth until I heard a noise from inside." Gar admitted,
"Damn. I moved my foot but I didn't know if you'd heard it or not." Raven stated,
Gar turned the camera towards him and used his free arm to wrap around Raven's shoulders, "Alright, so it looks like Raven's been found first." He turned towards her and pressed a kiss to her temple, "Sorry babe."
Raven shrugged her shoulders, "It's fine. Where do I have to go sit again?"
"I will escort you, my gothic treasure." He told her, putting some kind of accent on top of his words.
She rolled her eyes but couldn't withhold the tiny, amused smile that appeared upon her lips. He held a hand out towards the game room door which Raven followed and took lead, walking down the hallway and towards the main room, with Gar filming from behind.
As they reached the archway of the main room, Gar stopped and pointed to the grey 'L' shaped sofa that was in the far corner of the room, where the TV was mounted against the further wall.
Raven wandered past the piano and scooped up her book, which was sitting on the top of it, as she made her way over to the losers couch.
"See, Rae? You didn't even need me. It's okay though. I know you just needed boyfriend comfort since it's all dark and spooky at the moment." He called,
She snorted and gave him a sarcastic look before she sat down on the sofa and opened her book up to her most recently bookmarked page, flicking the lamp beside her on.
Gar spun the camera towards his face and smiled, "Okay, so far, so good, guys. I've found 1 outta 9 friends. We still got a way to go but… a nice start, if I say so myself."
He turned on his heel and did the same with the camera, so that it was pointed at the darkened hallway once more, "I don't think I'm gonna check the main room for people since… it's really open and I don't think anyone will actually be in there so… let's go over towards the… kitchen, I think."
With that, he ambled through the hallway and past the stairs towards the aforementioned room. He hurried forward but just as he was about to turn into the open kitchen, Gar paused and hummed to himself in thought.
He turned the camera to record what he was noticing and how it seemed a little bit unusual.
[JENII CAM]
Her eyes were wide and she smiled, covering her mouth with her free hand that wasn't holding her phone up and recording herself,
"Gar just found Raven I think… and oh my God… he went straight past the closet. I'm hoping he doesn't realize and come back and check again…" She whispered, her eyes darting to the right as she listened for Gar's footsteps in the hallway.
She remained silent for a few more seconds as Gar's footsteps seemed to disappear and fade, the further away he went. Jenii bit down on her lower lip and briefly dropped her head forward to stem some of the laughter that was trying to escape her.
Jenii glanced back up at her phone and grinned, "Okay… okay… he's further away which is a good sign." She lifted her free hand and crossed her fingers, squeezing her eyes shut as well.
The door leading out to the backyard was wide open and Gar kept the camera trained on it as he sidestepped around it, "Now… I'm pretty sure this door was closed when I went out to count which means one of two things happened…" He paused and lifted the camera, pointing it towards the outside, spotting Silkie in the distance, "Either someone just let the dog out and forgot to close the door or… someone be out here…"
Gar stepped out into the mild evening air and scanned his surroundings with the camera, starting with the pool which was eerily still but to be expected since there was hardly any wind.
He walked further out into the backyard, closing the door behind him and turning the camera over towards the decking area near the back where they had the outdoor grill and kitchen, along with the picnic tables and dual sofas with cloth across the top to hide away when it was super hot in the summer.
The big oak tree beside it was full of leaves beginning to change colour with the season and with barely any wind, the tree was solid and unmoving.
Continuing to pan the camera around, Gar showed the fire pit around the side of the house with multiple lounge chairs placed around it for when they had marshmallow nights; something to come since it was getting cooler in temperature.
Silkie came running over to him, his tongue hanging out and one of his ears flopped over where he had his head tilted. Gar pointed the camera down at the dog and chuckled from behind it,
"What's going on, Silkie? Anyone out here?" He asked, earning a blank stare from the canine.
[ROY CAM]
Grinning, Roy sat as still as he possibly could, the camera of his phone awfully close to his face as he addressed the situation, "Gar is down there…" He said, barely audible.
He turned the phone around and angled it downwards, recording Gar as he wandered around with Silkie on his heels, searching spots around the backyard that they could have taken up residence in for the game.
Roy chuckled to himself as Gar went to the far side of the backyard, checking around the pool and cabana where the outside bar was situated,
"Okay… so I don't think he's caught on yet that I'm up here." He breathed, hoping his volume was quiet enough to continue going unnoticed, "But he is a' checking all over the backyard…"
He continued to film Gar who was now standing a short distance away from the tree, closer to the firepit and he was scratching his head and talking to Silkie who was wagging his tail, just happy to have a friend for the moment.
Roy shuffled on the branch ever so slightly to enable him to hear what Gar was actually saying.
"Well, I don't know if anyone is out here but… I can't find anyone so I'm assuming I'm good-" Gar trailed off and there was a slight jingling sound as Silkie trotted over to the door and started pawing at it, clearly wanting to head back inside.
Gar could be heard chuckling at the dog and Roy zoomed in on his phone, spying Gar as he made his way back towards the house and opened the door. Gar appeared to turn and have one last glance around the backyard before he dashed in and closed the door again.
As soon as the door shut, Roy burst into laughter and spun his camera back around to film himself. He shook his head in disbelief and inhaled a deep breath, "How!? How did he not check the giant ass tree at all? He didn't even check around the trunk or anything!" Roy exclaimed, truly shocked at Gar's inability to find him.
"Honestly, I thought I picked a fairly obvious place to hide but apparently not. Ya boi is still in for the winner's title, by the looks of it." Roy boasted, flashing a smirk at his phone.
Silkie's paws clicked against the wood flooring as he scurried into the main room, reaching the sofa where he curled up and laid down, just slightly on Raven's foot which she didn't seem to mind.
Gar turned the camera away from his girlfriend and the household pet, focusing it instead in the direction of the kitchen. He ambled towards the room, with the backdoor firmly closed now, behind him.
Just as he set foot into the kitchen, he heard a thump from down the hallway and immediately froze, jerking backwards and turning the camera in the direction of which the noise came from.
"Oh God… what the hell was that!?" Gar frantically whispered to himself and his viewers,
With trepidation, Gar began his descent towards the closet under the stairs where he was relatively certain the sound had originated. He took a deep breath as he reached the door and gripped the door handle, "Please don't be a demon… please don't be a demon…"
He gave a sharp tug of the door and threw it wide open, shining his camera light directly inside.
There was a high pitched squeal from inside and Gar equally jumped back in shock and refocused the camera on who he had just located,
"Jenii!?" He checked, his voice quite a few decibels higher than usual on account of his fright,
The pink haired beauty burst into a fit of giggles and held her stomach with one hand, her head falling back against the wall behind her, "Oh my gosh… hi Gar. Yeah. It's me."
He made a sound of distress and the camera was suddenly pointed towards the floor as Gar doubled over and pressed his hands to his knees, "Ohhhh my God… Jen… you literally almost gave me a heart attack!"
"I'm sorry!" She laughed, "I heard you go outside so I thought it was fine and I hadn't realized you came back in and then there was the noise-"
The camera shook as Gar suddenly perked up at that, "Yeah! That's what drew me over! What the heck was that?"
Jenii's eyes shifted to the side slightly as she cast a glare at the item that had given her away, "The mop fell and it smacked against the wall before I could stop it." She groaned, smiling at her misfortune,
Gar chuckled, "Ohhh… I was terrified to open the door cos' I was like… if there are no people in here, I'm out."
"No, it was me. I was trying to get a bit comfier since you hadn't found me after you found Raven." She admitted, stepping carefully to avoid the things in the closet.
Gar offered her a hand to help her out of the closet, which she gladly took and practically stumbled out of the tiny room, "Aw, Jenii… if the mop hadn't made any sound, I probably wouldn't even have checked here. I forget we have this closet all the time."
Jenii clicked her fingers and screwed her face up in annoyance, "Damn it!"
"If you'd like to go and join my lovely girlfriend on the losers couch…" Gar announced, holding his hand out towards the main room where Raven lifted her head and smiled slightly at who walked in. Jenii put her hands up behind her head and moaned,
"I lost."
Raven smirked, "I can see that. It's alright, at least you weren't first."
Jenii matched her friend's expression, "I mean, that's true."
Gar chuckled and spun the camera to face him, giving the viewers a thumbs up with the hand that was not already holding the device, "Hey! 2 outta 9 friends found! Not too shabby for like… 20 minutes of seeking."
The camera swivelled back around so that it was facing the abyss of the hallway, only dimly lit by the light in Gar's equipment, "Alright… onwards we go… I'm so confused on which places I've already checked now." He murmured, "Uhh… I guess… let's go and look in the movie room."
He advanced towards the room in question, the camera's shot bobbing up and down with his footsteps. As he entered, the camera light filtered in and over the rows of cushioned sofas that were set up on the left hand side of the room, just like a public movie theatre.
Gar walked down the aisle, flashing the camera down all 4 rows of sofas, "Hm… yeah, I didn't think anyone would hide in here. Other than behind the sofas, it's… pretty dang bare of furniture so… we'll close this room off as being completely checked."
With that, Gar turned away from where the popcorn machine and huge TV were on the back wall and made his way back out of the room, pausing at the door and juggling the camera from side to side,
"Hm… where to go, where to go…" He murmured,
The camera panned to the right and with that, Gar seemed decided and took several rapid steps towards his target, "We're off to the garage… but, just to tick it off since I can't think of anywhere for anyone to hide in there."
Ambling down the hallway again towards the garage, Gar wasted no time in throwing open the door and shining his light all around, peering behind the cars to see if any of his friends were hiding in simple places but taking advantage of the shadows.
He made a noise of confusion and suddenly dropped down to the floor, breathing heavily from behind the camera as he shone the light beneath his own car that was on the far side of the garage.
"I don't know why I thought someone would fit under one of the cars. You'd have to be as skinny as like… paper to fit under there." Gar chuckled, grunting as he pushed himself back up and onto his feet, debating where to look next.
[VIC CAM]
With a snort, Vic dropped his head forward slightly and used his free hand to cover his mouth, his steel eyes widening in fear of Gar hearing him.
He slowly pulled his hand away and focused on his phone which he was using to record himself, "So… Gar is right out there and he's smarter than I thought. He's like… peeking inside his own car at the moment. He'll likely look in Dick's and then mine…" He paused and tugged the blanket back down and over his head, shrouding him further into darkness.
Vic lifted his head again; only a little to check on Gar's exact location in the room, "This is why I thought to bring out the blanket… just sayin'." Vic chuckled, his laugh breathy.
He waited for a long moment, not wanting to chance looking up considering Gar would likely be right by the window when he tried to have a glance.
Zooming in on the back window of Vic's car, Gar moved the camera around a little, trying to see if anything inside seemed to move in the darkness.
When nothing made itself apparent, Gar huffed and pulled the camera back, turning it around towards his face,
"Okay so no one's in here… not that I expected anyone to be. The hiding spot pickings are super slim here." Gar chuckled and jerked his thumb towards the door, "Ite… let's go look somewhere else. I think I've checked everywhere downstairs so it's time to head up for some seekin'!"
With that, he spun the camera back around and the recording shook as he trekked back towards the door, the sound of it slamming closed ringing out from behind the camera.
[VIC CAM]
The shadows dimmed and slipped away as Vic sat back, the blanket sliding off of him as he turned his head left and right, checking to make sure he was all alone in the garage once again,
"Oh my gosh… I can't believe he didn't find me. I've never been so thankful for the shitty lighting in this room." Vic puffed, chuckling a little,
He thrust his arm out further, capturing himself as much as possible through his front facing camera. Vic grinned and ran a hand over his face, "Yo', I might actually win this one, y'all. Like, I don't wanna jinx myself but… I think I have a pretty awesome spot."
Gar cleared his throat and scratched his jaw; the lens facing him as he reached the top of the stairs. His eyes shifted left and right as he seemed to consider which room to check in first,
"Hm… I'm thinking that Vic would possibly hide in his room since I haven't found him downstairs yet." He paused and took a couple of steps in the direction of his best friends room, "We'll check and see but wow, this is honestly so much harder to do in the dark with just my camera light. Like… it's almost as if I've forgotten the whole layout of the house."
Gar stopped just outside of Vic's bedroom door and turned his head, "Or… he could be hiding in the gym since that's one of his other favorite rooms in the house. Though… the gym has even less places to hide than the garage so I doubt it."
With that, he swiveled his camera around so it faced the white bedroom door. Gar blindly reached his hand out for the handle and pushed it open, sneaking inside whilst trying to make as little noise as possible, just in case someone was indeed hiding in his room.
He suddenly snorted from off camera, "Can we just appreciate how chrome dome was so freaked about the rainbow paint and yet, he still hasn't changed it?" Gar whispered, shining his light across the walls to prove his point, revealing the bold, bright stripes still present around the room.
Gar turned the camera to the side, where Vic's bed was situated and shuffled across the floor to it. He dropped down at the side of the bed and shone the camera's light underneath, panning it from top to bottom but coming up empty.
"I think I've decided that I'm gonna check all the beds in the rooms since there's bound to be someone under a bed. I mean, statistically, there has to be!" He exclaimed, the camera wobbling as Gar got back on his feet.
He spun around in the room, shining the light at multiple objects in Vic's room, including the full length mirror which simply reflected the brightness right back at him. He made his way across the floor space to the wardrobe.
Gar placed his hand on the doorknob and pulled the door open, quickly opening the second door as well. He directed the light inside, moving it around in an attempt to catch any movement but he soon backed away from it.
"Yeaaah… I don't think anyone's in there either." Gar murmured, "Hmm… where else?"
[KAREN CAM]
The light from the screen of her phone illuminated Karen's whole face in the dark as she sat in the middle of Vic's bathtub, the plastic curtain drawn around the edge to conceal her.
She grinned and bit down on her lip, her eyes continually shifting towards the side of the bathroom, right where the door was, "Oh God… okay so…" Karen paused and covered her mouth with her hand to try and lower her tone of voice, "Either there's a ghost in Vic's room, boppin' about… which wouldn't be too out there considering the shit they do in this house or… Gar is in his room. I just heard him close the wardrobe doors."
Karen giggled quietly and rested the palm of her hand against her forehead, "My heart is pounding! I'm so scared of being found… oh my God, you guys…" She whispered,
Opening her mouth to speak again, there was the telltale sound of the door opening heard off camera whilst Karen's eyes simultaneously widened to the size of dinner plates.
She squeezed her eyes shut and smiled, ducking her head ever so slightly whilst mouthing, "He's in here!"
"I suppose someone could be in here? Again… there aren't that many places though." Gar said, his voice bouncing off the walls of the bathroom and there was a faint echo of a soap bottle being knocked over and sliding into the basin, followed by a small, "Shit."
Karen scrunched her whole face up in an attempt not to laugh aloud and dropped her head, her phone shaking slightly from the mirth that was bubbling from the sheer suspense of Gar's seeking.
Panning the camera around the whole bathroom, Gar hummed a hushed tune to himself and tried his best to spread the light of his camera in every dark nook and cranny he could see.
"Oh, I wonder… if anyone could fit in the cabinet beneath his sink, actually." Gar mused to himself,
The image on camera shuddered as Gar dropped into a crouch and threw open one of the counter cabinet doors, immediately filling the space with his white light.
Gar clicked his tongue and pulled back, closing the door again and standing up straight, revealing himself in the reflection of the mirror above Vic's sink.
"Think, Gar. Think." He challenged himself, rubbing his chin in thought before turning on his heel; turning the camera as well, "I just don't really know where anyone would-"
He abruptly cut himself off as he reached out and gripped the edge of the bath curtain and yanked it aside.
"EEK!" Came Karen's startled response.
Gar squealed loudly in return and stumbled backwards slightly, jostling the camera as he moved, trying to get a focus on who exactly had just scared the absolute bejesus out of him.
"K-Karen!?" Gar checked, his panting very clear on camera,
Suddenly, the room erupted into laughter as Karen relaxed and let her head drop back against her shoulders; one arm thrown across her belly as she continued to giggle,
"Holy shit, Gar. There was no warning at all!" She yelped, standing up in the tub,
"Me!? Oh my God, I think I'm having a cardiac arrest or something. Jesus…" He sighed, channeling his light on her to help guide her out of the bathtub.
Karen giggled as Gar offered her a helpful hand to get out, "Your scream was louder than mine, just sayin'."
"Yeah, cos' you scared the shit out of me! It's so much scarier filming in a dark, quiet house with only a light while all my friends are hiding. I honestly didn't actually expect anyone to be in here." Gar explained, his pants turning into a breathy laugh instead,
Rubbing her neck sheepishly, Karen smiled, "It would be way too easy to find everyone with the lights on though, Gar."
"I mean, true. But, I probably wouldn't be having as many palpitations as I am tonight." Gar rebuked,
She grinned, "I wasn't found first, was I?"
He chortled, "Nah, Rae was. You're… uh… 3rd found."
"Aw man!" She whined, threading her fingers together behind her head, "Have you found Sparky yet?"
"No, he's still hidden. Do you know where he's at?"
Karen smirked, "I might. But, I ain't tellin' you nothin'."
"Loyal girlfriend. Crappy friend to me though." Gar chided,
Karen planted her hands on her hips and giggled, shaking her head, "Alright… to the losers couch I go then."
She wandered through the open bathroom door, with Gar following closely behind, filming her as she walked away. He stopped at the top of the stairs, going his separate way to Karen.
"Good luck in finding all the others, Gar!" She called as she bounded down the stairs, waving a hand too.
[WALLY CAM]
His freckle stained face filled the whole screen as he flipped his phone camera towards himself. Wally was resting on his elbows as he leaned over his phone, crouched on his arms and knees with his locks of ember flopping over his forehead.
"Ahhh! So, I'm pretty damn sure I just heard Karen being found which means Gar is up here and seeking which means my hiding spot is endangered!" He fretted, struggling to keep his volume low,
Wally twisted his phone and double tapped his screen to switch to the rear facing camera, which was pointed straight at Dick and Kory's bed.
"Psst!" He hissed, "Kory!"
The edge of the covers which were hiding the gap of the couple's bed suddenly lifted up and Kory's bright jade eyes narrowed towards Wally,
"What?"
"He's sooo gonna find us!"
Kory giggled and tilted her head, "Well, he will if you do not shut up, Wally!"
There was a gasp from behind his phone and he reverted back to using his front facing camera on his phone, his face a picture of mock offense with his mouth hanging open in an 'o' shape.
"I hope she gets found first." He snipped, playfully glaring past his phone at Kory,
Gar started making a series of clicking sounds with his mouth and a light drumming of fingertips could be heard against the side of the camera as he stood up from peering beneath his and Raven's bed as he searched their room next, once more trying to figure out where someone would hide.
The camera image swirled as Gar quickly moved across the room in the darkness. The beam of white light on top of the camera bathed the bookcase at the far end of their bedroom in brightness.
He lumbered to one side, holding the camera out from his body far enough so that he could maneuver it to catch anything down the side of the bookcase, including any hidden friends of his.
"Mm… no… I don't think anyone is in here. I've checked in the closets and under the bed and I looked under both mine and Rae's desks and nada, guys." He elaborated,
Gar stopped and pivoted the camera so it was pointed towards his face, "Alright so… let's just think for a second… I've still gotta find…" He lifted a hand and started counting on his fingers, "Vic, Roy, Dick, Wally, Kory and Donna… is that it? Is that all of them?"
He paused and snickered at himself, "I don't mean that like… is that all? That's still quite a few people to find in this house and I don't feel like I'm doing that well at the moment... but, gonna go look in… I think Dick and Kory's room is the only one up here that I haven't checked."
[KORY CAM]
Kory's smiling face was lit up by the glow of her phone screen as she focused the front facing camera on herself, "So… I believe Gar is in his and Raven's room. I could hear him speaking a moment ago and he sounds like he is there." She paused, as a few sounds could be heard in the background of her recording and she snorted, "If you can hear light shuffling sounds, it is Wally. He is freaking out as he thinks Gar will find him and he will not win the game. We are unaware of how many have already been found. Karen has at least but… it is unclear if we are the last ones to be found or if there are still others… but Wally will not stop fidgeting now."
"It doesn't help when you point it out, Anders!" Wally wheezed from his hiding spot in the room.
The scarlet haired beauty giggled but suddenly dipped into complete silence and cupped a hand over her mouth as footsteps and a muffled voice could be heard in the hallway, drawing closer to the room.
The camera swayed as Gar approached another plain white bedroom door, muttering to himself, "Well… that's super weird."
He reached out and grasped the silver handle and pushed the door open, allowing his camera light to flood the room with a dim glow.
"Honestly dudes. Just as I said about checking Dick and Kory's room, I could have sworn I heard something from in here." He whispered to the handheld device as he treaded further into the space.
In addition, he directed the stream of light at Silkie's bed that sat, uninhabited, beside the wall of the ensuite bathroom.
"Duuudes! There best be someone hiding in here cos' I 100% heard a noise and not even Silkie is in here!" Gar shrilled, frantically shifting the camera from side to side, trying to catch anything that was not supposed to be there.
He took a deep, tranquil breath before letting it out slowly and reassuring himself, "It's fine. It's totally fine. It must just be one of the others. It has to be."
Gar made a small noise of uncertainty and headed towards the door, leading into the bathroom, "I think I'll switch it up and start looking in the bathroom first this time and then I'll check their actual room."
[KORY CAM]
Holding her phone above her face as she continued to lay flat on her back beneath her bed, her hair cascading around her shoulders, Kory bit down hard on her lower lip. She was trying her damndest not to lose herself in a bubble of giggles as Gar's footsteps could be heard with his slow circling of the bed, making his way towards the bathroom.
Kory's emerald eyes shifted back and forth before she inclined her head and dropped her gaze to the foot of the bed, light from Gar's camera seeping in, just a smidge before it dissipated completely along with him, after entering the bathroom.
She immediately exhaled and her eyes flickered closed as her free hand touched her chest, right over where her heart was likely pumping away.
"Gar has just gone into the bathroom..." Kory murmured, keeping a tab on his movements with a series of muffled shuffling sounds coming from the ensuite, "Mine and Dick's bathroom is not too big so… he will likely come back out soon and I am very nervous…"
She clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle the small giggle that escaped her lips but she paused, hiccupping on her anticipation as she heard the handle of the bathroom door jangle. Hey eyes widened and she stiffened.
The light on top of Gar's camera washed over the large bed in the middle of Dick and Kory's room, illuminating it enough so that Gar wasn't doing this completely blind.
He turned to the left hand side of the room and directed his camera at an oriental styled room divider that was in the corner with what appeared to be a dress slung over the top of it. He settled the camera in his hands and zoomed in on it,
"I think this is like… some kinda changing screen that I'm assuming Kory uses." Gar thrummed, and the camera jolted slightly from where he shrugged his shoulders, unable to see anyone taking refuge behind it.
Gar continued in that direction, wandering over to Kory's wardrobe that already had one door slightly ajar. He hesitantly approached it and gave the same door a hard push before darting away and forcing his light to reveal anything or anyone that was inside.
He remained rooted to where he was for at least a minute before he seemed to relax, since the camera stopped quivering in his hands. Gar chuckled to himself and pushed open the other door as well, poking his head in a little to make certain.
When he came up empty, Gar stepped back and closed both doors, muttering to himself, "Oookay… so… no one in the closet then." He breathed, the camera spinning as Gar turned away from it,
"Umm…" He paused and the camera focused in on the bed once more, "Is anyone under here?"
As he spoke, Gar lowered himself and the camera down onto the wood flooring. He turned the device sideways, the light filtering in under the whole bed.
Giggling immediately reverberated from beneath the bed and Gar zoomed in to see Kory holding an arm over her stomach to contain herself as she laughed.
"Kory!" Gar chuckled, "I should have know you'd be in here. You hid in a closet when we played at the store. I think you have a thing for hiding in bedroom locations."
He shuffled back and stood up, keeping the camera pointed towards the ground where Kory shuffled and rolled until she was out from underneath. She slowly got to her feet and brushed her knees down before throwing her head back, her long hair flipping over her shoulders,
"Oh! So, I did." Kory said, in realization of her hiding pattern.
Gar swiveled the camera around so that it showed his now grinning face, with Kory in the background, stretching her arms above her head from being on the floor for such a long time.
"You alright there, Kor?" He chortled,
Kory pulled a face, "I never knew how uncomfortable our floor was to lie on."
Gar smirked and shook his head, "Good job though… you were the 4th person found."
Her brows rose in surprise, "Oh? I thought you had found more than that."
"Hey! I'm gettin' there, okay?" He clicked his tongue, "It's harder in the dark and you guys have actually picked decent places. Well… most of you."
"Who was found first?"
Gar grinned, "Rae. She was just sitting in the photo booth all like, eh."
Kory smiled, "She is the one who would care the least in being found first."
He shrugged and the camera bobbed as he started to leave the room, with Kory still in frame as she followed behind him, her gaze discreetly going upwards for a brief moment as they moved.
"So, guys, I think I'm done with upstairs. I've checked all the rooms and I've found 2 people so… not bad, not ba-"
Gar abruptly stopped moving and went silent, his head cocked in concentration as a small shuffling sound could just barely be heard, "What was that?"
Kory pressed her lips into a thin line from behind him, "What?"
He spun the camera around again so it was off of him and facing towards Kory who had her hands behind her back, a picture of innocence and nonchalance, with the darkness as her backdrop.
"You hear that noise? It sounded like it came from over here…" He mumbled, marching over to where Dick's wardrobe stood. He placed a hand on one of the doorknobs and he turned the camera towards her for a second,
"Is there anyone else hiding in here, Kory?" He asked,
Kory's expression did not waver, except for the slight tilt of her head, "Um… I do not think so."
"Hmm."
Gar reverted the camera back to its previous position, the lens staring at the doors of the wardrobe. He gripped the doorknob and threw the door open, much like he had with Kory's wardrobe minutes prior.
He took a step forward, searching the inside with the camera itself, aided by the light on top of it. The inside was simply full of Dick's clothes on hangers and a few pairs of shoes, lined along the bottom shelf.
"Huh… empty." Gar declared, taking a step back from the wardrobe and closing the doors once again.
With the lens eyeing the wardrobe again, there was the faintest quiver to the wooden structure.
"Wait…" Gar muttered, confused by the apparent movement.
He raised the camera upwards, stepping back further to get a better view on camera. As it panned towards the top of the wardrobe, Gar squealed in the highest pitch as the light illuminated Wally on the top.
He was leaning forward on his knees and elbows, looking towards Gar and Kory with the biggest grin which, in the space of darkness, was highly creepy.
"Fuck! WALLY, MAN!" Gar yelled, his spooked breathing uneven from behind the camera,
Wally broke into a full belly laugh and relaxed his posture at having been discovered, "Aw shit. You got me, dude."
"Jesus… you almost gave me a damn heart attack, dude! You look like that scary bitch from The Conjuring when the girls look up and she's just hanging out on top of it, with her tongue out looking like a straight up freak before she jumps em'."
The redhead's chuckles only intensified as he wiped a tear from his eye, "Aw, Gar. I'm so sorry."
Giggles poured from Kory's throat from behind the camera, where she stood behind Gar still. Several deep breaths from Gar were audible before he breathed out slowly,
"It's fine… my heart is… kinda a normal rate again… or at least, it's getting there. How… How did you even get up there, dude?" Gar asked, the camera wobbling slightly as Gar readjusted his hold on it.
Wally extended a leg and wriggled it around as he lowered it back down the side of the wardrobe, his toes stretched out and searching for something to place his weight onto.
"Well, Gar… I used… uh… shit… um… ah!" He puffed, as he found Dick's desk chair that he had initially used and planted his foot firmly on the cushioned seat, "I used Dick's chair and… then I just hauled my ass up there."
"It is true. I have it recorded for your video." Kory added, causing Gar to laugh and Wally to stumble down more in disbelief.
"I swear, Kory gave me away." Wally protested as both feet landed on the cushioned seat,
Kory's voice was instantaneous from behind the camera, "Excuse me? You gave yourself away, Wally! With all of your fidgeting and shuffling, you made yourself an easy find in the end."
Wally made a 'psh' noise as he smirked and dropped down, jumping off of the desk chair and wheeling it back over to Dick's desk, Gar recording his movements the entire time.
"Me and you are gonna fall out, Anders." Wally warned her,
Kory simply laughed at him whilst Gar shone the light over at Wally again, "I am so surprised that Dick's wardrobe is still standing and it hasn't collapsed in on itself."
Wally looked scandalised, "You guys are so rude! How heavy do you think I am!?"
Gar snickered and moved across the room, holding the bedroom door open with his free hand, "I mean… we probably shouldn't answer that one. Don't wanna hurt your feelings." He teased, whilst Kory giggled behind the palm of her hand as she headed for the exit first, followed by Wally who was still giving them both the stink eye.
Spinning the camera around towards his own face again, Gar beamed to his viewers, "Alright, so correction on that one, kiddos. Looks like I found 3 people whilst I was up here."
He scurried out of Dick and Kory's bedroom, closing their door behind him and making his way over to the top of the stairs which Kory and Wally had already descended down.
"Hey is there actually anyone else hiding up here?" Gar checked,
"Nah. No one else is up here. Swear." Wally replied, bounding down the rest of the stairs.
"Cool. Okay… so we're doing well. We're doing well, guys." Gar reassured himself and his fans,
The camera shook up and down as Gar hurried his step, the rest of the way until he reached the bottom of the stairs, the camera becoming fairly still after being jostled around as it had.
Kory and Wally's voices slowly faded away as they went on ahead and joined the other losers on the couch in the main room.
Gar smiled at the camera and opened his mouth to speak but stalled as he noticed something off camera and by the look of his gaze, it appeared to be something on the wall opposite the staircase,
"Huh… that's weird…" He acknowledged, taking several steps towards the main room whilst keeping his eyes still on the wall.
He finally turned his head and wandered further into the main room, briefly turning his camera towards Karen who was sat on the couch, chatting away to Jenii.
"Hey Karen?" Gar called,
She lifted her chin towards him, "Hm?"
"Did Vic go out during the game? His keys aren't up on the wall like they usually are."
Karen hesitated for just a moment too long before she spoke in a voice that was much higher than her usual tone, "Um… no, no. He didn't. Why?"
Gar's own tone grew suspicious, "Hm… that's odd… his keys were definitely there earlier and he always keeps em' up there since his biggest fear is losing the damn keys to his car."
"Oh… yeah… that's uh… super weird then." She mentioned, her lips twitching at the corners as she tried her best to resist smiling.
The camera swiveled back to Gar's triumphant expression in an instant, "Got him."
[VIC CAM]
"Okaaay… so I think I've been in here now for like 45 minutes or so… he either really doesn't know this house or we've all picked ridiculously amazing hiding spots. I'm thinking it must be near the end or somethin' now so fingers crossed, I'm gonna win." Vic updated, holding his phone at an angle so that his head was down whilst he spoke to it,
"It's kinda weird being in here in the dark. This house definitely has a spooky vibe to it when none of the lights are-"
Suddenly, Vic jerked upright, the blanket slipping off of his head as the car door was thrown open.
Vic's eyes went the widest they'd likely ever been before and he screeched, jumping back from whoever stood there.
"Hey, you have possibly a girlier scream than I do, dude!" Gar laughed, one hand on the edge of Vic's car door and the other gripping the camera as he filmed his best friend's reaction to being caught,
"Holy shit, Gar!" Vic stressed, leaning against the cushioning of the backseats to catch his breath, "Ohhh my Godddd. I think I just died. I was just talking about how eerie it is in here in the dark and then you go and do that!"
Gar's mischievous laughter only got louder as he zoomed in on Vic's face which was indeed looking like he had just scared his soul out of his physical body.
"Dude, you should see your face. It's the best thing ever!" Gar cackled, the camera shaking from his mirth,
Vic adjusted himself, sliding out from where he had been perched for the entirety of the game and sitting on the backseat, his head resting against it.
"Maaan, I thought I was in for a good chance of winning. Or wait… did I win? Please tell me I won." Vic checked, peeking at him,
"Nope. Sorry, dude. You came… 4th though so not bad at all." Gar revealed,
Vic pursed his lips and nodded his head, lifting his shoulders a little, "You know what? I can deal with that. 4th is better than last which was what happened last time. I just didn't wanna be found first this time."
"No, that award went to Rae."
"Aw, poor babydoll." Vic sympathised,
Gar chuckled, "Yeah, as you can imagine, she was really cut up about it."
Vic gave him an amused smile and then shifted, beginning to lumber out of his car which moved with his weight.
"I was doing so well too… you already came in here so I thought once you were gon', I was like 'Awesome. He didn't see me. He has no reason to come back in here.' and then you damn done did it and came back in."
"That is cos' I know you too well, bro! I came downstairs after I found Wally and Kory and I saw your keys were gone and I was like… hang on a damn second."
Vic laughed as he straightened up, finally on his feet for the first time in almost an hour, "Ah shit. I kinda half thought about that and then thought, naaah, Gar wouldn't notice somethin' like that."
"Aha! Well, guess again tin man cos' I noticed." Gar affirmed, keeping the camera trained on Vic as he slammed the car door shut and locked it with his keys, his car making a beep sound and flashing to confirm it was locked.
Gar followed behind Vic as he made his way out of the garage, across the hall and into the main room where the others were all patiently waiting to see who the next loser would be.
"Ha! Get on over to the losers couch, Vic!" Gar crowed,
Vic playfully gave him the finger and snorted before he trudged over and took his place on the edge of the sofa, right beside Karen who looked guilty.
"Ah no! Baby, I'm sorry. Did I give away your spot?" Karen asked, touching his cheek and trying not to laugh at the pout he pulled,
"Don't feel bad, Bee. It was me. I noticed the key thing and now he's beating himself up over it. Mwahahaha." Gar assured,
With that, he turned the camera back to himself and had the widest grin plastered across his face, doing a little happy dance as he filmed himself, "Ooh yeah! I'm on a roll, ladies and germs!"
"How many have you got left again?" Raven asked, looking up from her book with a small smile,
Gar stopped and poked a tongue out in thought, "Uh… Dick, Donna and Roy so 3 left to find." He paused and smirked, "I mean, Dick won the first time we played this at the store and had a spot I never would have checked so… he may well win again."
He swiveled the camera back around to face the rag tag all congregated on the losers sofa.
Vic groaned and dropped his head back against the sofa, "Ugh, I do not want Dick to win. He's always so smug about winning!"
"Dude, you know Dick. He takes games seriously. He is committed." Wally pointed out, resulting in Kory nodding her head quite earnestly,
"Go on, Gar. Find him so that he doesn't win first place." Vic urged, grinning over the top of the sofa,
Chuckling, the youtuber spun on his heel and headed out towards the hallway, yet again, passing the bar area of the room as he moved where a ping pong table sat alongside the sleek wood bar and stereo system. The corner sofa was dark and longer than the one in the main area of the room.
Gar paused by the backyard doors, contemplating, "Uh… hang on a sec… did I go into the kitchen the first time? I can't remember if I did or not…"
After shifting his weight from one foot to the other for a long moment, Gar continued in the direction of the kitchen, murmuring, "Yeah… I don't think I did so… let's check it out. There's a place that I think someone might have hidden."
He tottered into the kitchen, panning his camera and the adjoining light from one side of the room to the other, flashing it up and over at the counters and into every crevice that he could think of, citing, "Just in case someone thought to hide in an obvious place like… standing on the counter or something." He explained, flashing the light for a final time around the entirety of the kitchen.
[DICK CAM]
"Okay… Gar is literally right there…" Dick whispered in the quietest voice he could muster, pausing to make sure Gar hadn't heard him.
Dick switched to the rear facing camera and leaned forward as much as he physically could, given his position, pressing his phone right up against the crack in the dryer door which was still open a little.
Gar was on his hands and knees, his camera on it's side as he checked underneath the dining table for anyone who might be hiding there. He was mumbling something to his device but Dick couldn't make it out and neither could his camera.
Reverting the camera back to front facing, Dick grinned but kept his eyes on the crack in the small dryer door, watching his friend closely,
"We'll see what happens. I have a sinking feeling that he's gonna find me though…" He hushed.
Gar turned the camera on himself and chewed on the inside of his cheek, "I'm not… really that sure where to look in here. I don't think there are that many options but I'm pretty sure this is the only room I haven't checked so… someone has to be in here at least, right?"
He spun the camera back around, panning it from left to right, using the light to try and pick up on any nooks and crannies that he may not have considered beforehand.
Snorting from behind the camera, Gar made his way over to the washing machine, "Pff, maybe someone's in the laundry."
Reaching out, he opened the washing machine door and shone the light inside, "Nooope. No one in there, obviously."
And then, just for consistency, Gar stepped away and then leaned in towards the dryer, placing a hand on the door and pulling it open.
The light flooded the inside of the dryer and Gar breathed out, "And then, no one in- Dick!?"
"Ah man… I thought I had that. I didn't think you'd look in here!" Dick chuckled, ducking his head enough so that Gar could see his face,
Gar scoffed in surprise, "Dude, I almost didn't! I was kinda just looking as like a joke since I didn't think anyone could fit in there; not even you. How are you in there?"
Dick smirked and shifted a little, reaching out and gripping the edge of the dryer with his fingers and partially hoisting himself out, reaching his arms backwards and clambering out,
"Dude… this is like showcasing all your acrobatic and gymnastic skills. Though… also kinda freaky since you look a little like the girl outta The Exorcist when she does that crab walk thing down the stairs." Gar commented as he just continued to record his friend, gracefully slipping out of the tiny space where he had been for the past hour.
Finally, Dick was out and lowered himself onto his back before he rolled over and crouched, before jumping up to his feet.
He grimaced immediately and reached his arms high above his head, "God, my back is gonna feel that tomorrow."
The camera wobbled slightly as Gar changed his grip on it, "Dude, bravo. Honestly… that was like some kinda body magic right there."
Dick chuckled and glanced over his shoulder at the camera as he hobbled out of the kitchen, towards the main room, "Where'd I come?"
"You were third, dude." Gar confirmed,
"Aww, damn it." He grunted, scuffing his toe against the floor as he reached the main space of the room where Vic and Wally were beaming with joy; happy to see that he hadn't taken first place like he did with so many other things.
"Aw, what's the matter, Dick? Did ya lose?" Vic prodded,
Gar kept the camera focused on the group as Dick slumped onto the sofa, right beside Kory who instantly leaned into his side as he crossed his arms over his chest,
"Yeah, why so glum, Dickie boy?" Wally goaded, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Dick lifted his cerulean gaze towards both boys and flipped them off, "Piss off, you two."
Kory gave him a tiny smile and kissed his cheek, drawing his attention towards her,
"You did better than any of us, my love." She comforted,
Dick tilted his head and smiled back at her, appreciating her attempts to make him feel better. Wally nodded but leaned around Dick, with an index finger held up,
"Uh, yeah but you still lost. Hence, you're on this couch with the rest of the losers." Wally pointed out, taking delight in taunting his best friend.
"Shut up, Wally." Kory deadpanned, narrowing her eyes at him and causing Dick to smirk.
Gar chuckled from behind the camera and turned away from the scene, heading back towards the kitchen whilst mumbling, "I wanted to check at least one other place in the kitchen… it's a stupid place but I'm thinking Roy or Donna might be in there."
The light on top of his camera reflected off of the chessboard style vinyl flooring as he re-entered the kitchen, before he directed it upwards, right at the small walk-in pantry. He reached forward and pushed open the light wood louvered door, to investigate.
[DONNA CAM]
Biting her bottom lip, Donna stared at the image of herself on her phone screen, the front facing camera trained on her unmoving face, "So… I was in here and heard Gar when he found Dick and was really happy because Gar left…" She pulled a face, "But now he's back in here."
She paused as she thought she heard footsteps, "Sorry - so yeah, he's in the pantry right now and I have a feeling he's going to check the cabinets."
Donna opened her mouth to say something else but stopped short at the quiet sound of a door clicking shut again, "Oh, shh… he's coming out…"
Gar kept the camera still as he slid his hand off of the pantry door, "Okay, so that was the place I thought someone would be but… nope. Y'know, this game is super surprising. There are so many places I didn't think of where people have hidden and then there's places I thought were super obvious and no one's hidden there."
He pivoted on the spot, revealing the main bulk of the kitchen counters, aided by the flood of light from the flashlight.
"You know… I'm gonna check the cabinets. I didn't really think anyone would be able to squeeze in there but I'll check since… I mean, Dick was folded up inside the dryer. Now, I don't think Donna or Roy are as flexible as him but… just in case."
Gar ambled around the side of the middle island counter, over to the cabinets lining the underneath of the counter that ran along the back of the kitchen and extended a hand, grasping the handle of the first cabinet door.
[DONNA CAM]
Her sky blue eyes widened and she sat immensely still as several bangs of the cabinet doors opening and closing echoed from outside of her enclosed hiding place.
It sounded like he was getting closer as Donna continued to record, cringing each time another cabinet was checked and simply waited for her door to be yanked open and for her to be discovered.
She waited for what felt like a dragging few seconds before suddenly, her door started to creak open, revealing Gar's leg but he paused in opening it all the way, causing Donna's brows to crease in confusion as she remained silent instead of giving herself away as it seemed he hadn't actually realized she was hiding in there.
The camera was pointed right at the kitchen window, overlooking the backyard. He zoomed in on the large tree at the back of their yard, "What… what was that? I don't know if I caught it or not…" Gar mumbled, releasing the cabinet door he had been holding onto,
Moving away from the counter, Gar kept the camera focused on the back yard as he mused in his thoughts, "Weird… I could just be seeing stuff but… I'm like 99% sure I just saw the tree moving… the leaves shook like someone was moving but there's no wind so… it must be one of the gang…"
The camera jostled somewhat as Gar quickened his pace and hastily moved towards the doors, leading into the backyard.
[DONNA CAM]
Her mouth hung open in shock and her eyes were wide still, not quite understanding what had just transpired,
"What in Hera… how did he not just find me!?" She whispered, breathing out a laugh in surprise, "I can't believe that…"
Panning the camera from left to right, Gar searched for any sign of one of the two remaining players before he inspected the tree which was what had him on alert, since there was absolutely no breeze so the movement was a little suspicious.
"Hmm- Ah!" Gar yelped as Silkie barrelled past him, nose pressed right into the grass as he had a bit of a sniff around,
Gar sighed and zoomed in on the dog in question for a moment, "God dang it, Silkie. One day, you're gonna make me trip over and break something."
He removed the lens' gaze from Silkie and turned it towards the large tree, situated right at the back of the yard. Gar advanced towards the trunk of the tree, the camera rocking a little as Gar found his footing amongst the grass.
Continuing until he reached the base of the tree, Gar paused when he got there and glanced straight up, amongst the leaves and branches. He held the camera to show his examination before he pulled it closer to him and aimed the lens upwards, setting the flashlight to it's brightest option.
There was a long moment before he heard, "Ah! Jesus… that's fucking bright, dude."
Gar burst into laughter, "Roy!"
"Yeah, yeah… I gave myself away but honestly, I've been out here for so long, I didn't even hear you comin' close." He called, only half illuminated by the way the light was catching him.
Retreating backwards to give him room to jump down, Gar lifted the camera so it was focused solely on the tree and Roy as he tried to slowly get out of it.
There was a flurry of leaves crunching and branches swaying, before Roy jumped down at the root of the tree, grinning as he looked up at the camera, his face glowing around the beam of light hitting him.
"Did you leave the doors open?"
Roy laughed, "Ah, yeah. I did. I was sitting up there, thinking about coming down and closing it but then you were almost back from counting so I just thought, screw it. I'll leave it."
Gar chuckled.
"Am I the winner?" Roy queried, brushing himself off from the little bits of nature that had fallen from the tree onto his clothes,
"Ha, almost dude. You were 2nd." Gar informed him,
Roy groaned and slapped his knees with his hands, letting his head drop momentarily, "Ah shit. I was so close!"
"You really were. If you hadn't moved, then you possibly would have won."
The ginger haired man lifted his chin, "What'd you mean?"
"You must have moved a little cos' the whole reason I came out is cos' I saw the trees shake and there's literally no breeze."
"Ah, crap. Yeah, my ass started to go numb so I needed to move." Roy admitted, chuckling as he walked back towards the house,
Gar turned and followed, the lens facing towards the backdoors. He whistled off camera and called, "Silkie! C'mon boy."
With that, the white ball of fluff bounded back towards the house, hopping over the step and back inside where he let his tongue hang out and he panted, excited and exhausted, all tied into one.
Gar did the same, stepping over the threshold that separated the house and the backyard, "Okay… so every friend but one has been found…" Gar announced to the crowd of friends that had relocated from the losers couch and into the hallway, clearly wanting to see the outcome of the game, "Looks like Donna is the winner!"
The group simultaneously cheered amongst themselves, with Kory lightly tapping her fingers together.
"But… I still have to find her so…" Gar trailed off, holding the camera still as he spoke,
"Here's a hint. She is definitely downstairs." Raven pointed out from where she was sat on the bottom step of the staircase,
The camera shifted as Gar changed his hold on it, lifting it so it was around eye level, "Hm… okay, okay… I'll start from the… Game Room then, I reckon…"
With the camera swaying back and forth, Gar meandered back down the hall, heading straight for the aforementioned room as he turned the corner towards it.
[DICK CAM]
The ebony haired man offered his front facing camera a grin that would have rivalled the cheshire cat's as he stood in the kitchen, the lights now on as normal since the game had technically ended,
"Can we all just appreciate…" He paused and double tapped his phone to change his camera around to face outwards,
He grabbed the handle of the cabinet door and pulled it open, zooming in on Donna's weary expression as she sat in there, right under the sink and scrunched up in a most uncomfortable position.
Donna dropped her head but couldn't help but laugh at herself, "Ugh, don't, Dick. I'm in so much pain right now. It's not even funny."
"For you. For us, it's hilarious." Dick remarked, the cheek evident in his tone of voice,
A bout of laughter from Roy could be heard from somewhere behind where Dick stood as he kept his camera zoomed in on one of his oldest friends. He turned his phone around so he could smirk.
Kory appeared at his side and lightly smacked his shoulder before offering Donna a concerned expression, "Donna… are you okay in there?"
"Oh yeah, just peachy… except, I think half my joints are just flat out gone." She replied,
With her face becoming more sympathetic towards her friend, Kory tilted her head and clasped her hands together, "We will try and make it easier for Gar to find you, without explicitly saying where you are."
"Thanks, Kory. I appreciate it." She grunted from her cubby hole.
Dick shrugged his shoulder before he switched the camera back again, focusing on Donna who glared at him from her tiny spot,
"I mean, you shouldn't have chosen such an uncomfy spot if you can't hack it." Dick mocked, good naturedly,
"Can it, Grayson. You're just a sore loser and you know it." Donna retorted, smirking back at him,
Dick gasped and seemed as though he was going to say more but Kory interrupted,
"Hang in there, Donna." She murmured, her tanned hand reaching forward and gently closing the cabinet door once again.
The camera vibrated slightly as Gar wandered back out of the Game Room and into the hallway again, directing his camera towards the group that were still huddled at the end of it, right beside the backyard doors.
Vic suddenly coughed; it was loud and false and really obvious as a sign for Gar to come back towards them.
As he moved closer, Vic not-so-subtly jerked his head in the direction of the kitchen from where he was leaning up against the doorframe, his hands in his pockets,
Gar turned the camera towards the kitchen and had a feeling he knew what was being hinted at but he called out, "Donna, if you're in here… give me a sign."
Two bangs sounded straight away, like someone punching wood panelling which was followed with laughter from a number of the boys.
Chuckling at the response he received, Gar hurried over to the kitchen counter, the image of the camera trembling as he moved.
He aimed the camera down towards the cabinet doors beneath the sink and pulled one open, followed by the second, revealing Donna looking extremely uncomfortable but also relieved that she had finally been located.
"Donna! You win!" Gar notified, a grin audible in his voice,
"Great." Donna struggled before she placed a hand on the kitchen floor and practically fell out of the cupboard and onto her back, staring up at the ceiling.
She closed her eyes and groaned, "Ow. That was unbelievably painful." She grunted,
Roy smirked and made his way around the island counter and offered the victorious woman a hand in getting to her feet, which she gladly accepted. Roy pulled her to her feet where Donna moaned aloud and rolled her shoulders back, cracked her neck joints and twisted at the waist to relieve pressure around her lower back.
"Donna, congratulations on winning!" Gar sang, focusing the lens on her as she half smiled,
"Yay… thank God… I was beginning to think you'd never actually find me." Donna muttered,
"So, in winning, you do not have to pay for pizza next week. Wooo!"
Donna chuckled, "Great. I can use the extra money by putting it towards hiring a chiropractor for my neck and spine."
"I can't believe I didn't find you. I checked the cabinets before I found Roy." Gar told her,
"Yeah but just as you opened the door of the cabinet, you were distracted by him so you ran off before you looked inside." Donna confirmed,
"Ohh… I see." Gar waved a hand dismissively, "Well, congrats girl, you're the new champ."
Donna grinned and turned her head towards Dick, giving him a wink, "Oh, look at that. I believe I just robbed you of your crown, Grayson."
Dick rolled his eyes and shook his head, "Yeah, yeah, yeah…" He grumbled, from where he was leaning up against the fridge.
Gar spun the camera around so that his face was in the shot, as well as all the others as well,
"So, what'd you think of that, guys? Did we enjoy hide and seek in the house?" Gar asked,
"You know, it was actually pretty fun." Jenii admitted where she was leaning on her elbows against the edge of the middle island, "Y'know… for the like 15 minutes that I got to play."
"Uh… how'd you think it was for me?" Raven snorted, glancing over at the pink haired woman,
"Yeah but it was also kinda interesting to see who lost as well." Wally interjected,
"I mean, painful body parts aside, it was really fun to play." Donna added,
"It was a lot better than the store. Playing in the dark really adds to the atmosphere." Dick stated, nodding his head,
"You're telling me! Dude, I almost keeled over like 4 times cos' I didn't expect to find people and then when I did, it scared the shit outta me." Gar exclaimed, earning a series of chuckles from those around him.
"Nah, it was good, grass stain. It was a good one." Vic smirked, "We should play it again soon."
Gar turned his head to the side and beamed at his friends before returning his attention to the camera, "Alright… so, we're now gonna go and watch some movies-"
Roy immediately took off, sprinting through the kitchen in an attempt to reach the movie room first, "Action movie! Action movie! Action movie!" He chanted as he left,
Wally jerked at that and half turned, "No way, Roy! Fuck that noise; we're watching a horror!" He bellowed, marching out of the kitchen after him; the dual bickering muffled but slightly audible from where Gar stood with the camera,
The remaining friends all jumped as Silkie started barking and chasing after the two boys, his tail wagging back and forth as he thought they were running as part of a game.
Kory sighed, "Silkie!" She called and shook her head, "Hmph… boys…"
Dick chuckled and slipped his hand in hers, leading her out to follow and calm their frantic dog who was still barking excitedly at the antics of Roy and Wally who still sounded like they were fighting over what movie to watch first.
Jenii simply blinked, her head at an angle as she watched it all unfold. She shook her head and exhaled, exiting the kitchen with Donna at her side, "God, they're such idiots." Jenii groaned, dragging a hand through her pink bangs, "And yet, I'm still dating one of them."
"More fool you then, huh?" Donna teased, her voice fading as she got further from the camera,
Gar snorted and grinned with Vic and Karen doing the same and Raven smiling and shaking her head at their friends,
"Alright… I think… the normal ones are still here. We're smart cos' we're gonna grab our snacks." Gar winked, "The others didn't even think about it so they ain't gonna have a choice of what we're watching."
Karen chortled, "Pff… got em'."
Gar took a deep breath and smiled at the camera, addressing his viewers, "Okay guys… this has been a super long one… I had a lot of fun finding everyone and I hope you guys had just as much fun watching this video. Let me know if you want us to play this kind of thing again cos' it really is a fun thing to do."
Vic smirked, "I mean, unless you're Donna who basically limped outta here."
Matching his smirk, Gar continued, "Anyway… that's gonna do it for this video, guys. Thanks so much for watching. If you aren't already subscribed, don't forget to smash that button and the like button too which I always appreciate. Otherwise, I will see you in the next one." He held up a two finger salute and flashed a boyish grin at the camera, "Peace!"
