Spill The Tea: Vic

Clearing his throat several times, Gar flashed the camera a cheeky, toothy grin. He leaned forward, resting his elbows against his knees and lacing his fingers together as his forest eyes connected with the lens, from where the camera was securely perched atop its familiar tripod.
He was lounging upon the familiar grey sofa that was situated in the main area of their living room; the tripod placed between the diagonal piece of wall with the flat screen TV mounted to it and the aforementioned 'L' shaped couch.
"Whaaat's up, guys! It's Gar and welcome back to my channel." He paused and glanced out the window beyond the camera, "I hope you guys all had a great New Years, however you spent it. Fingers crossed this year will be better to us all than the last one was."
Vic snorted from where he was sprawled against the sofa beside Gar, his arms resting over the back cushions, "Cheers to that man. 2020 sucked."
Gar snickered and straightened up, peering at his best friend, "As you guys can see, we're joined by Vic today and that is because we're back with another round of 'Spill The Tea' where I ask my friends a bunch of sometimes intrusive questions and see what they admit and what they skip."
Flicking his wrist towards the lens, Vic beamed and waved at Gar's audience, "Don't ask me why I agreed to be his next victim. I have no idea either."
"Puh-lease. You love this." Gar scoffed,
Vic tilted his head from side to side but smirked after only a short moment, "Yeah, I kinda do. I'm actually pretty excited to see what you ask me."
"Well, don't forget. Some questions are written by me, some are ones from viewers and some are a mix of both, ha!" Gar clarified, whipping his phone out from the back pocket of the skinny jeans he wore on his lower half.
"Yeah, I'm prepped man."
"I can bet you'll use more skips than you think, dude. Even Rae did and she's more savage than you."
Vic scoffed, "Mkay, we'll see about that."
Gar grinned and turned his attention back towards the camera, "Okay, so, Vic is aware of the rules and stuff but I'll go back over them, just in case. So, I'll be asking my guest about 15 questions and since it's tea, it's gonna have some personal type questions. However, if Vic doesn't want to answer, he has 3 skips available to use."
"I aint gonna use any of em' though." Vic boasted,
Rolling his eyes, Gar muttered, "Yeah, just wait for the questions, big guy." He took a pause and cleared his throat to continue explaining, "But, once Vic is all outta skips, he has to answer the question. No excuses. So, he'll have to be super picky about which ones he skips or… according to him, doesn't skip."
He turned his head towards Vic and smirked, "You ready for this, tin man?"
Vic loudly slapped his hands together and rolled his shoulders back, getting comfy in his seat, "Yep. I am ready. Let's do this."
Gar squinted his eyes at his phone and tapped a few times before his face brightened and he gave Vic a challenging expression, "Alright. First question… What's a place you've always wanted to visit?"
Vic blinked in disbelief, "That's it? That's my first question?"
"I told you; some are nice, easy ones." Gar chuckled,
"Oookay… uh… you mean like a country or?"
"I mean… it could be France or the Wendy's down the street; it's up to you."
Vic laughed and pondered it for a moment, "Okay, well… I've always wanted to go to Italy. It's somewhere I haven't been yet so… yeah. Italy."
"Really? Why?"
"The food man. The cheeses, the pasta… the gelato… Italy has bangin' food."
Gar snorted and tilted his head from left to right, "Okay, fair, fair."
Vic reached out for his soda can that was sitting on the coffee table and took a swig before expectantly looking at Gar, waiting for the next question.
"Okay dude… next question… If you could only save one… who would you save, Karen or your car?"
Choking on his mouthful of fizz, Vic peered at Gar after coughing and spluttering, "What?"
"Which one is basically more important to you?"
"What am I saving my girlfriend or car from?" Vic enquired, his brows raised,
"I don't know, man… say both are hanging off the edge of a cliff."
Vic laughed and shook his head, "Was this a you question or viewers question?"
Checking his phone, Gar lifted his chin, "Viewers. Which one, dude?"
"Karen, obviously."
Gar looked surprised, "Really? But, you love your car like it's your actual child."
He snorted and shrugged his shoulders, "Yeah, but Bee's my girl, man. You can replace a car… you can't replace her."
Pulling a face to mock him, Gar jokingly swooned and fluttered his eyelashes, "Awwwww, Vic!" He teased,
Vic laughed and sheepishly rubbed the back of his head before he shoved Gar away, "Shut up, grass stain and get on with the next question already."
Laughing like a hyena, Gar tapped at his phone to bring the rest of the questions back up, "Okay, third question… who is your least favourite member of our friendship group?"
Vic did a double take to look at his best friend, "What?"
"You heard me." Gar smirked, "Who's your least favourite?"
"Awww what? That's not a cool question." Vic laughed, dragging a hand across his face, "I know the group watches your videos, man."
Gar's grin reached his ears, "Duh, why'd you think I put this question in there?"
Tapping his chin in thought, Vic chewed on his lip as well, "So… is it out of the whole group or just the housemates?"
"No, it's out of the whole group; like the pizza night group." Gar narrowed down,
"Right… uh…" He paused and exhaled loudly,
"You can always skip this one, dude…" Gar sang, his knee bouncing up and down as he awaited a response,
Vic scowled at him, "Nope; I am not skipping. Uh… I'll go with… Wally? Probably?"
"Oh! Shots fired!" Gar laughed,
"I don't know; I get along with all our friends. I guess Wally though… he's too loud sometimes."
Gar grinned and eyed the lens of the camera, "Hear that, Wally? You're his least favourite cos' you're loud."
Vic snorted, "I don't have a least favourite but if I gotta choose someone to avoid a skip, then yeah, Wally." He paused and too, looked at the lens of the camera, "Sorry, man."
"That's two for Wally so far. I'm pretty sure Rae also picked him in her spill the tea." Gar chuckled,
Raising his eyebrows, Vic stifled a smile, "Ohh wow. Sorry Wally!"
Gar let out a puff of breath and held his phone up once more, "Ready for the next question?"
"Yes. Definitely."
"Alright… What was the last thing you searched for on your phone?" Gar grinned,
"You're asking about my search history?" Vic clarified,
"Yep. What was it?" Gar repeated,
Sighing, Vic reached into the pocket of his sweats and pulled his phone out, typing in the code to unlock it. He scrunched his face up as he clicked around, pulling up whatever he last appeared to search for on his phone.
Gar leaned towards him, trying to glimpse at the screen of his phone before Vic snorted and just handed the device to Gar himself,
"Ooooh, what've we-" He paused, blinked and laughed, "Oh my God, I'm so unsurprised."
He turned the phone towards the lens of the camera, "Guys, Vic's last searched thing was a menu for this food place down the street." Gar laughed and glanced at his friend, "You're such a foodie, I swear."
Vic chuckled and took his phone back from Gar, "Bee said she wanted to try it out next time she comes over and I was wondering if they did wings, y'know?"
"Priorities." Gar added, earning a nod from Vic.
Shaking his head, Gar cleared his throat again and shuffled back on the sofa, half turning his body towards Vic to continue the little game they were playing for the video.
"Okay, dude… you're doing well so far… no skips yet." Gar applauded,
Vic's expression was simply smug, "See? I told ya; I don't need yo' skips."
Gar's smirk was mischievous, "Uh huh… next question… Who's your celebrity crush?"
"Oh easy. It's a tie between Beyonce and Margot Robbie." Vic answered, firmly,
Gar paused and lifted a brow at him, "That's so weird. I feel like you've thought about this before."
"Oh, definitely. Karen and I have talked about celebrity crushes so many times. She has loads of guys on her 'celebrity crush list'." Vic replied,
"Why those two though? They're not even similar."
"Nah but they're both stunning and sexy as heck. I mean, show me most actresses or singers and they're hot as hell so…" Vic punctuated his point with a shrug of his shoulders,
Gar pursed his lips but nodded, "Okay, fair enough… next question then, I guess."
Vic smirked, "Did you really not expect me to have an answer for that?"
"I guess I didn't, to be honest." Gar paused, "So… What is your guilty pleasure movie?"
Instantly, laughter bubbled up from Vic and he shifted his leg so that his ankle rested on top of his other knee, "Okay, so… I am not ashamed to say that I enjoy more chick flicks… right? So let's get that outta the way, first."
Gar's eyes shifted between Vic and the camera and he grinned, "Alright, great start so far."
"Okay, you wanna know what one is my 'guilty pleasure' movie?"
"Yeah, I think that was the question, dude."
"Pretty Woman." Vic answered, crossing his arms over his chest,
Gar appeared to digest that knowledge and consider it further, "Mmm, I can see that. I thought you'd say like… a girlier movie."
"I mean, that one is one of the top chick-flicks out there."
"Yeaaah but you could've picked like… The Notebook or Titanic or something…"
"Yeah but Pretty Woman is funny, rather than dramatic. A lot of chick-flicks have these emotional sad parts or dramatic and y'know Pretty Woman has some parts where it's like aw but she's pretty funny a lot of the time so."
Gar smirked, "I am learning so much about you today, Vic."
Vic gave into a belly laugh and took another swig from his soda can.
"Okay… doing well still… next question is… If you weren't an athlete, what would you be doing instead?"
Vic's brows furrowed and he sat forward, leaning his elbows against his knees, "Ooh… I like that one… it's a good question… um… well, I do a lot of sports as a main job but I also do work with STAR Labs so I guess… if I wasn't doing the sport stuff… I'd probably go for full time research at STAR Labs… I think that's what I'd do."
Gar nodded along, signalling that he was listening to his answers, "I can see that. Swap the hoops for test tubes."
Chucking, Vic pointed at him, "Exactly."
"So… ready for the next question?"
"Dude, these questions are stupid easy and I haven't really had any that are difficult yet."
"All in good time, Vic, all in good time." Gar told him, waving him off dismissively, "Ahem… next one… What is the most illegal thing you've ever done?"
Vic's jaw dropped open and he stared at Gar, trying to process the 360 that his friend just delivered.
"There ya go. There's one that'll be fun to not skip." Gar told him, smirking,
"Dude, I am not admitting to any illegal shit on a video you post online." Vic snorted, shaking his head,
"I mean, we've all technically done illegal stuff on the channel considering we jump into abandoned places like every other weekend and that's shit that's not allowed so…"
Vic sighed and chewed on his lower lip, "Ite… you got me. I'm gonna have to skip that one because… even if it was stealing some gum… I'm not touching that."
Gar burst into laughter and his eyes lit up with barely contained glee, "Ohhhhh! What, Vic? You were saying something about not skipping any? What?"
Stifling a grin, Vic lifted an eyebrow at Gar, "Uh and remind me… what illegal stuff have you done again, Gar?"
"Firstly, it isn't my question and second, a lot of my illegal stuff is on my channel, dude."
Vic laughed and shook his head, "Fine… I skip the question."
"Oof. Bet that stings." Gar paused, "You haven't murdered someone though, right?"
"Do you wanna find out?" Vic teased,
"Not particularly. Okay! So, you have used your first skip, Vic. You've only got two more left."
"I'm hoping not to use them. I already hate the fact I used one." Vic grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest again,
"Your next one is easier, I promise." Gar took a breath, "What's one thing you hate about social media?"
"That's pretty easy. I hate how everyone is so enticed by likes and stuff. You have people whose mental health spirals or something just because 2 people liked a photo of their dog... I don't know, man. It's crazy. It's worse for kids because growing up, it wasn't as much of a thing, right?"
Gar nodded, "Yeah, we're old guys. Facebook started up when we were teens."
"But that's my point; kids are so focused on technology now, which on one hand is great but on the other hand, is more damaging to them for different reasons. That and people can be such keyboard warriors and trolls and it's like get a fucking life you basement loser."
Lightly clapping his hands, Gar smirked, "Well said, Grandpa."
Vic laughed, "Shut up, man. You know what I mean."
"Yeah, I know. Raven's answer was similar. She said she hates all of it."
"Why am I not surprised?" Vic chortled, earning a nod from Gar in agreement,
"That was a good answer on your part though… ready for the next question?"
"As long as I don't have to skip, then sure."
Gar cringed and laughed, "Uh… well… the question is… How many girls did you date before Karen?"
Vic smiled and shook his head, "I ain't skipping that. The only other serious girlfriend I had before Karen was when I was 17. Her name was Sarah and we dated for… 2 years?"
"Ohh yeah… I remember Sarah. She was nice. What happened there?" Gar enquired,
Shrugging, Vic elaborated, "Not a lot. But she went to study in England and we tried the long distance stuff at first but it just… didn't work out so we both decided to split which… was great because then I met Karen a little while afterward."
Gar nodded, "And we love Karen so that's also good."
Vic rolled his eyes, "Right, the main thing that matters, of course."
Laughing, Gar peered back down at the phone in his hand, "Alright… we're getting close to the end, Vic. You're doing well. One skip used and two more available to use."
"Woulda been better if I didn't use any." Vic mumbled,
Gar grinned, "C'mon, there's still time to not use any. The next one is… oh… ooooh… Least favourite feature about Karen?"
Vic threw his hands up and groaned, laughter slipping from his lips as well, "Obviously that's gonna be a skip"
"Really? There's nothing you can think of that is your least favourite about her?"
Vic turned his head and gave Gar a look, "Really? What's yours about Rae?"
Gar pressed his lips into a thin line, "Okay, point taken."
"Yeah, skip. I'm mad that I'm using a skip but I mean… I don't have a least favourite feature. Physical or personality wise."
"Smart man." Gar whispered, patting his shoulder comfortingly, "Okay, so you've now used two skips. You've got one left, dude. You gotta make it count, if you have to use it."
Vic sat forward and rubbed his hands together, in an attempt to get his head in the game and be more focused on his answers.
"Alright… what's the next one?"
"When was your first kiss?"
Vic blinked in surprise at the question and rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Uh… I was like 13, I think."
Gar gave him a fake gasp, "You mean dear Sarah wasn't your first kiss?"
Shaking his head, Vic continued, "No. I mean, even my first kiss… it was at a birthday party and we were playing seven minutes in heaven. I was all nervous and twitchy and then this girl and I went in the closet and we kissed. It was an innocent kiss, obviously but… that's the one I count as my first one… even if it was full of saliva."
"Ewww!" Gar laughed, facepalming himself,
Vic laughed, "Sorry but two 13 year olds trying to kiss? It's never pretty. Don't let these teen romance movies fool ya, kids."
Gar smiled and leaned back against the couch cushions, settling in for the next question he was to ask Vic. He cast a look in Vic's direction, scrunching his nose up a little.
"I'm not gonna like the question, am I?" Vic checked,
"I mean… I don't think you'll answer it, no."
Vic laughed, "Damn it… what is it?"
Gar read the words on his phone screen, "If you weren't dating Karen, which girl out of the friend group would you want to date?"
"Nooope."
Cackling poured out from Gar's mouth at Vic's instantaneous response, "Yeah, that's what I thought your reaction would be."
"So, two things here. All the other girls, bar Donna who's like a sister anyway, are in relationships with guys in the group too. So, one, not only would Karen likely tease me forever. I don't think it'd be cool considering the girls are all with guys. Right? Do you know what I mean?"
"I mean, I'd be shook if you turned round and said Raven, I don't know about anything else." Gar answered, shrugging,
"Well, I don't think I'd date any of the girls in our group anyway. So, we'll skip."
"Are ya sure?" Gar checked, smirking at the fact he was about to surrender his last skip.
Vic sighed and dropped his head back against the sofa, "Yeah, I'm sure."
"Okay, dude. You are completely outta skips. Interesting since you said you weren't gonna use any." Gar goaded, good-naturedly,
"Well, I didn't expect you to cluster all those kinds of questions together like that." Vic complained, laughing,
Gar grinned at the camera, "Haha, welcome to the spill the tea segment, bitch. It's a place where we throw you under the bus."
"How many more questions have I got?" Vic queried,
"Uh… two more."
"God, please don't let them be too personal. Now, if there's a question and I don't wanna answer it, I have to, right?"
"Yup."
"Awesome." Vic deadpanned, folding his arms again, "'Kay, go on…"
"Next question is… Who would win in a fight; you or Dick?"
Vic snorted, "Me. Next question."
Gar burst into laughter and paused, "Just like that?"
"Dick is agile and moves quick but I hit harder so… yeah, I'd win. 100%." Vic laughed, not even trying to appear sheepish about his answer.
"Fine, fair enough. I so wanna check with Dick on that question when he gets home, just saying." Gar grinned, "Are you ready for the last question, Vic?"
"Ooooh, it comes down to this, man. Hit me." Vic approved,
Gar cleared his throat and nestled into the couch some more for the final question he was about to voice, "If you had any superpower, what would it be?"
Vic let out a breath he hadn't appeared to be holding, "What?"
"What? That's the last question." Gar expressed,
Deflating with relief, Vic scrubbed a hand across his face, "I thought it was gonna be something really private or some shit." He paused, "Though… to answer… I'd say like super strength or maybe powers around electronics? That'd be sick."
"Yeah, I can see that. To be honest, any powers would be superb." Gar added, with Vic nodding along.
With that, Gar placed his phone down on the armrest of the couch and turned his head towards Vic to see how his best friend had fared.
"And that… is you finito, Vic. You're all done; you answered all questions and used all 3 skips." Gar paused, "How did ya find it?"
"I'm still super pissed that I used my skips; I was so determined not to use any of em' but… some of the questions caught me by surprise, not gonna lie." He explained, smiling,
"Did ya have fun though?"
"Yeah, it was interesting to see what was asked. I liked it a lot." Vic admitted,
"Eyyy! See, my videos are just awesome, man." Gar chuckled, earning an eye roll from Vic who was draining his soda can of the remaining contents.
"It was 'ite, Grass Stain." Vic confirmed,
Gar paused and then murmured, "I still can't believe Pretty Woman's your guilty pleasure movie."
"I might watch it in a while, thank you very much." Vic retorted, giving his best friend the middle finger.
"See, there's some questions in there that I think I'll keep using for each friend, like the social media one and the superpower one and maybe a couple others." Gar thought aloud, directing the focus back towards his channel segment.
Vic nodded, "Sounds like a solid plan. Do you know who you're gonna ask next?"
"Uhh… not sure. I'm gonna ask everyone in the house first and obviously, you and Raven have done it already. Then, I'll move onto the others in the group, I think."
"I tell ya; I can't wait to watch some of the others doing this." Vic snickered,
Gar chuckled, "Yeah, I think I'll have to do it myself at some point and get one of you to ask me questions."
Vic smirked and lifted his hand up, inviting Gar for a high five which Gar immediately took him up on and smacked his palm against his best friend's.
"Thanks for the fun half hour, little dude." Vic smiled,
"No worries, tin man." Gar responded and turned towards the camera, "Vic and I are gonna stream tonight over on Twitch if anyone's interested out there. Don't know what we're gonna play yet but head on over, if ya wanna. Twitch link will be in the description."
Gar shifted on the sofa and smiled, "Otherwise, that is it for this video. Thanks so much to Vic for agreeing to be my victim today for this edition of 'Spill The Tea'. I'm glad he had fuuun." He paused, "And as always friends, if you enjoyed the video, please go ahead and smash the like button and don't forget to subscribe as well if you aren't already part of my little youtube family… And with that, I will see you in the next video!"
Vic offered a small wave to the camera with a smile on his face whilst Gar held up his index and middle finger and saluted in the direction of the lens, "Peace!"
