Exploring Abandoned Theater (CREEPY!)

Gar cleared his throat several times, his eyes gleaming under the glow of the streetlight above where he was rooted, with four other familiar faces hovering on either side of him.
Standing in the middle of the sidewalk, Raven and Kory stood on Gar's left whilst Dick and Vic stood on his right, all glancing between the lens of Gar's camera which was arranged upon an upright tripod and the street beyond which echoed with the sound of a few cars driving past them.
Behind the group, there was a dark, boarded wall that was a dirtied white shade. It had clearly been there for a long time, abused from years of neglect and being forgotten. The wood boarding was splintered and cracked, looking a little worse for wear on account of being consistently assaulted by the natural elements.
There were several shredded posters and leaflets pinned along the outer edge of the wall, ranging from concerts to carnivals that had occurred years beforehand but no one had bothered to remove the promotional materials.
"Whaaat's up, guys! It's ya fave, Gar and welcome back to my channel!" Gar announced, opening his arms wide and flashing one of his signature toothy grins, directly at the camera.
The late night summer breeze whistled around his torso, lifting the corners of his oversized forest check shirt, revealing more of the charcoal t-shirt he wore beneath.
"Today, we're back to a type of video that I don't think I've done for a while and I brought the whole gang as well." Gar continued, splaying his fingers wide to gesture towards his friends.
"I mean, we kinda have to. We gotta make sure you don't do anythin' stupid." Vic snorted, shoving his hands into the pockets of his dark grey sweatpants.
"Which… is actually more of a likely thing than some of your viewers probably realize." Raven added, lifting a dark brow at her boyfriend whilst she folded her arms over her chest.
Gar screwed up his facial features and playfully rolled his eyes at her. He lifted his phone from one of the front pockets of his dark wash skinny jeans and squinted at the time.
"So, it's about 10:15pm right now so it's only just kinda darkening. Summer nights tend to stay a lot lighter until real late so we'll have to be extra sneaky going into this place."
"Is there a lot of security?" Dick asked,
Kory peered around, inclining her head to look past their group, "It appears completely abandoned…"
Gar chewed on his lower lip and folded his arms across his chest, "Well, that's the thing… I drove past earlier from the store and half scoped the place and there were security guards, roaming around the grounds."
"And yet, they're not now?" Raven queried, narrowing her eyes, "That's suspicious."
Gar scratched his chin, his expression all scrunched up, "Yeaaah, just a little… but, I mean… it must be good to check out. It doesn't seem like anyone is patrolling now so… let's just haul ass and see this place."
Seemingly just realizing that he had not yet let slip as to where they were, Gar opened his hands out wide and froze,
"Oh! I forgot to mention what kind of place we're exploring today." He paused and a slow grin spread across his face, "Today, we're gonna be checking out this super old theater where they used to show plays and musicals and all that jazz, right up until the mid 1900's and for once, I have some info on it as well!"
Dick shared a glance with Vic that spoke volumes of how interested he was in hearing what Gar had to say about this derelict building that was decades old.
"Shall we search for an entrance, Grass stain?" Vic pondered aloud,
He glanced left and right, chewing on his lower lip as he considered the question, "Uh, yeaaah…" Gar trailed off,
Scurrying over to the camera, Gar poked his tongue out from between his lips and fiddled with the tripod until there was a sudden thunk and Gar grappled with the camera itself.
He held it up higher and shot it on himself, with his four companions standing around behind him, "Alright, we'll be back in just a sec, you guys."
With that, he clapped a hand over the lens, allowing darkness to seep in and overtake.
"Okay, so…" Gar whispered, turning his head left and right as the group huddled around a very beaten up looking door, a broken padlock hanging from a clasp near the top, "we've found this door around the back of the site and Vic already gave it a shove and it seems to be completely unlocked."
"That's the part that says red flags, Gar." Dick interjected, from where he stood with his hands shoved into his pockets.
"I mean, worst case scenario, there are homeless people living inside or something." Gar shrugged,
Kory pulled a face, "Which is something that is very likely, considering the building is abandoned."
"We've run into homeless people before and it's been fiiine."
Raven lifted a dark eyebrow, "I wouldn't say 'fine' but sure."
Gar rolled his fern eyes and waved his hand around in a dismissive manner, "Anywho, we're gonna see where this door leads into. Vic?"
He turned his head in his best friend's direction, who nodded in response and gripped the worn looking door handle. Vic gave it a sharp tug and cringed as the bottom of the door scraped against the concrete.
"You got a flashlight, Vic?" Dick queried, in a hushed tone to conceal them, just in case there were any patrol officers that happened to be passing.
Vic inclined his head and nodded, before he slipped his hand into the pocket of his sweats and shook his silver flashlight in Dick's direction. He flipped the small switch and a sudden beam of light shot out from the reflector glass.
Gar squinted his eyes and lifted the hand that wasn't gripping the camera, to shield his vision, "Get going, dude, before we get a guard or something come talk to us."
With that, Gar shifted his hold on the camera and turned it around so that the lens was solely focused on the worn down outer walls of the building, panning to the far left to catch as much as possible, including the numerous boarded up windows that were just visible under the rapidly dying light.
Returning to pointing the camera back at the door that Vic had jerked ajar, Gar zoomed in and flipped his light on to further illuminate the spot.
Vic turned to the side and began to shimmy through the gap, briefly pausing to shine his flashlight inside. His jaw dropped and he turned his attention to Gar and the rest of their friends.
"Dude, the inside is so creepy already." He murmured, his eyes wide,
"Really?" Came Gar's excited reply from off screen and behind the camera,
A grunt escaped Vic's throat before he made it through and disappeared from their sights. Dick paused before he stepped up to the door next and peered through the crack.
"You good, Vic?" He asked,
"Uh huh. I'm all good, man. Who's coming through next?" Vic called,
Dick looked up at Gar before glancing between Raven and Kory who were idly shifting their weight from foot to foot. He sighed and ran a hand through his dark locks, "Oookay, guess I'll go next then."
"What a great idea." Raven smirked, making a shooing motion with her hand,
Pulling a face at his friend, Dick straightened up and took a deep breath before he too, began slipping through the gap between the wall and the door.
Kory's brows furrowed and she inclined her head towards the door, "Be careful, Dick." She quietly murmured, clasping her hands tightly together as her emerald eyes remained glued to her boyfriend's every movement.
He flashed her one of his boyish grins and winked, "You can go next and make sure I'm okay for yourself, Kor."
The redhead froze and blinked at him in disbelief before she groaned and folded her arms over her chest. Dick chuckled to himself over her response before he, like Vic previously, disappeared beyond the decrepit wooden door.
There was a stretch of pure silence that hung in the air for a short time before Dick's cheeky voice echoed,
"Get moving, Anders!"
Kory sighed and slumped, her eyes closing as she trudged over to the door. She bit her lower lip and hesitated, poking her head in the gap first to assess the space she was heading into.
Placing one of her legs through the crack first, Kory carefully started maneuvering herself inside until half of her body was past the door.
"Do you need a hand?" Dick mumbled, his voice muffled,
Puffing out a breath, Kory blew her bangs out of her face and gave him a small shake of her head, "I am fine."
After another long moment, she slipped inside to join Dick and Vic who already had the luxury of looking around at the creepy building they were exploring for the night.
Raven exhaled and half turned towards Gar, with him moving the camera so that the lens was just on her, following her movements closely. She lifted a dark brow at him.
"I'm going next, I presume?" She muttered, placing her hands on her hips.
Gar made a kissing sound from behind the camera, "If you wouldn't mind, baaabe." He sang,
She rolled her indigo eyes and spun around, heading straight for the creaky door. She lifted a pale hand and gripped the edge of the door and gave it another sharp tug.
The camera shook and Gar made a strangled noise, clearly not expecting her to do that.
"Damn, Rae! You gave me a heart attack." He yelped,
Raven flashed him an amused smile and shrugged her shoulders, "Oh? Sorry about that." Came her sarcastic reply.
Gar huffed and murmured against the mic of the camera, "She is so not sorry."
Pushing her dark hair behind her ears so that it was out of her face, Raven shuffled across the threshold and easily slipped through the crack now that she had made it that smidge wider.
"See? It's so much easier to get through when you open the door up more."
Vic clicked his tongue, echoing a little as Gar wandered closer to where they were all just inside the theater, "Well, I coulda done that, Rae."
"But you didn't."
"Yeah, cos' I didn't wanna make a shit ton of noise."
"Well, I did it and there's no security rushing in here so I'd say we're fine."
Vic grumbled to himself off camera at the same time as Gar snickered and turned the camera around to show himself to his viewers.
He shot the lens a wide grin, "My turn, dudes!"
Extending his arm outwards, Gar continued to record himself as he shambled awkwardly through the gap between the door frame and the door itself.
As he continued to move through, he pointed out, "Isn't it so weird that this isn't locked? Like at all?"
"Dude, of course it's up there on the list of the many things that make this place weird!" Came Vic's high pitched reply,
Gar chuckled to himself just as he shifted the last part of his torso and arm through the gap.
He immediately coughed upon stepping into the room that the door led directly into. Gar squinted his eyes and waved his free hand around in front of his face, "Dude, I can taste the dust - bleugh!"
"Look at this room… it's the stuff of a horror movie…" Dick hushed,
Gar lifted his chin to get a look at the room they had stumbled into for himself and his mouth fell open at what stood before the group.
Grappling with the camera, Gar flipped it around so that he could fully capture where they were.
The numerous flashlights that each of them were wielding, along with the huge light that sat atop of Gar's camera, were turning out to be quite the godsend on account of illuminating the room. It provided just enough light so that mostly everything could be visible to Gar's viewers.
It was a small sized room, with ripped carpet that had an all too convincing damp appearance, especially with how it sunk beneath their feet when they treaded around the space. It was dark and dank, with cobwebs adorning the boarded up windows and the corners of the high, old wooden beams that ran along the ceiling above their heads.
There were two small, plain sofas; nothing too glamorous but furniture that would serve their purpose, nonetheless. One was towards the back of the room, against the far wall and blanketed under a thick layer of dust. The second couch was pressed up against the long wall, opposite another door, leading presumably out to the rest of the theater.
Rips and tears were pretty much all that was left of the sofa, falling apart even now, after years of being untouched.
A grimy white dressing table sat opposite the sad sofa; a piece that had likely been beautiful in its prime but was now simply an aged husk of a perfect showcase of craftsmanship. There were stains splattered across it and one of the legs supporting the table was hanging by a splinter with the clear knowledge that any weight added to it would surely cause its collapse.
There was a mirror in the center of the dressing table, large but littered with cracks in the once pristine glass surface.
The silence in the room, which had clearly been a very lively place in its former life, was eerie to say the least. It was so quiet that a pin drop would have been more than audible.
Gar continued to pan the camera around the room, trying to capture every creepy crevice that he could.
There was a sudden crash as someone collided with something in the room, followed swiftly by a girlish squeal.
Gar sharply pivoted the camera around to the source of the scream.
"Vic!? What the-" He was cut off by an embarrassed huff from the large man in question,
"Fuck sake… I thought this thing was a person…" He sighed, scrubbing a hand across his face and using his other one to shove a battered looking mannequin away from him, the abandoned feather boa around its neck pathetically fluttering as it skidded across the carpet.
Dick exhaled and looked pointedly at Vic, "Vic, you scared the crap out of me. I thought something was wrong."
"Something was wrong, Dick. Ol' Vicky here got scared by a little mannequin…" Gar teased, in a mocking tone,
The ebony haired man smirked and did little to cover it, which wasn't helped by the quiet giggles erupting from Kory and Raven near the back of the room as well.
Vic rolled his eyes and scrunched up his face at being the center of a joke. He folded his arms across his chest and mimicked fake laughter, "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I wish you had walked into it instead; I would have loved to see your reaction, Grass Stain."
"Aw, there, there, Vic." Raven joined in, gently patting his shoulder in a half hearted attempt to console him.
Gar chuckled behind the camera and continued to zoom into specific areas of the room.
"So… I would be correct in assuming this was once a dressing room?" Kory guessed, running the tip of her index finger against the top of the dressing table, recoiling in disgust at the thick load of dust on her skin.
"Looks that way…" Raven replied, shining her flashlight at the shattered mirror that appeared to just be hanging in there still, even after all the time that had passed.
Dick knelt down and narrowed his eyes at a patch of carpet that had noticeable indents. He looked up at Gar and the camera, "There was more stuff in here back in the day but I'm assuming this is all of what was left behind. The carpet is indented from table legs over here."
Gar jerked the camera in the direction of the brown, wooden door in the corner, "Do you think that door is less stiff than the one we just got in through?"
"Shall I test it?" Vic asked, already heading in the door's direction,
"Oh, careful, Vic. The mannequin is there." Dick mocked with a joyful smirk on his face.
Vic scrunched up his face before giving Dick an obscene middle finger gesture. He snorted and shook his head.
There was a sudden rattle and Gar spun the camera around the dark room, with only the streams of light coming from the flashlights and Gar's camera light providing a form of illumination.
Raven stood towards the back of the room with her pale hand just touching the rusted door handle, leading out of the room. It was wedged open a crack with pure darkness beyond, refusing to reveal a single scrap of what lay behind.
"Should we keep going?" She murmured, lifting her chin in the direction of the camera,
"Yeah, definitely." Gar confirmed, his voice close to the device's mic, amplifying his words, "You wanna go out there first, babe?"
Rolling her dark eyes, Raven shrugged her shoulders, her grip tightening around the handle, "I guess."
With that, she yanked the door back, the bottom of the wood paneling scraping loudly against the hard flooring, where a chunk of carpet was missing.
"Dang, Rae. You could be more gentle about it." Vic complained, cringing at the jarring sound as it echoed and bounced off of the walls. Kory and Dick followed suit, lifting their shoulders in an attempt to cover their ears.
Raven lifted a brow, "You want it open or not?"
She flipped the flashlight into her opposite hand and shone the stream of light out across the threshold.
"What is it out there?" Gar queried, the camera wobbling as he stepped closer until he was standing right beside his girlfriend, with Vic, Kory and Dick trailing behind them, out of shot.
Raven was silent for a moment as she popped her head out, "Oh… I think it's just a hallway, leading to some other rooms."
The camera jostled back and forth slightly as Gar followed after her, the sound of all their footsteps combining together into a loud shuffling along the hallways's concrete floor.
Lifting the camera and angling it straight down the hallway with the light on top encasing the narrow stretch of space, Gar whistled quietly.
The walls were an off white color, coated with dust and filth from years of receiving no maintenance or upkeep. There were wires dangling from the ceiling above, made up of thin tiles akin to those found within an office space.
There were several doors; a few which were wide open and eerily inviting whilst the rest looked locked up tight.
With the camera swaying as Gar made his way down the hallway with his friends in tow and Raven leading the trek to find more to the building, he shone the light inside the open rooms, revealing grotty setups that were oh so similar to the first room they had stumbled upon. Each of them seemed to have their own worn out couch and haunting dressing table that looked lost in the bleakness.
He didn't venture inside them, showing just enough so that it was clear to viewers that they were no different to the first one.
"Crazy how this and places like this are just sitting here for years." Dick mumbled as he pressed his fingers against a panel of one of the locked doors, testing to see if it would budge under the pressure, which it did not.
"I can never understand what there is to gain from leaving it to rot, other than people trespassing." Kory agreed, also walking ahead of Gar and joining Raven and Dick in front of the camera.
"I suppose they don't wanna pay out to demolish it and turn it into something else." Vic stated from just behind the camera,
Raven snorted, "And yet they're happy to pay out to have security roaming some of the buildings."
"It makes no sense. They could even renovate this building into a new theater." Dick sighed, kicking a small piece of debris that had fallen from the ceiling and was strewn across the floor.
"We don't know that yet. We haven't seen the main area. It might have gotten so wrecked through the years that it just ain't worth saving." Vic uttered, wandering ahead and coming into the frame of the camera as the group approached the end of the hallway.
"I'll tell you one thing - this hallway is super long and creepy. I mean, if you poke your head round the corner and there's another long ass hallway, I won't be surprised." Gar squeaked,
"I could definitely imagine someone living here, you know… might be an idea to be cautious…" Raven murmured as the group turned the corner and approached another long hallway.
There were several more doors lining the walls of the new twist in the maze of hallways. As they headed towards the end, which appeared on camera to be a shadowy doorway, Gar shone the light of the camera directly into the mass of inky darkness. It appeared to have had two double doors pushed back from the glint of the rusty hinges still hanging off the door frames like fragments forgotten in time.
"God, this place is a maze!" Gar exclaimed, capturing all of what they were saying via the camera, "Even if there were homeless people living in here, I doubt we'd run into them."
Vic shot him a look over his shoulder, "I'd rather not find out though, dude."
Gar snorted from behind the camera, "Me neither. D'you guys remember that guy who chased us out of that abandoned station?"
Kory cringed and wrapped her hands around her upper arms, "Vividly." She shuddered, hunching her shoulders at the memory.
"This place has so many rooms… these alone are like… rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms…" Gar paused and briefly swung the camera into the doorway of a decrepit looking bathroom.
A door had fallen inwards into one of the three stalls that were coated in a thick layer of dust to which recent fingers had drawn across it. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings that swayed slightly with the breeze slipping through the broken windows.
Multiple sinks were stained with a dark substance and there were heavy leak marks dotted across the ceiling tiles. There were a few puddles on the gritty flooring, caused by heavy rainfall that had seeped through the old walls.
The mirrors on the walls had been smashed by vandals, with cracks rippling through the glass, creating a pattern of sorts that would otherwise be an interesting work of art in any other kind of setting.
"Oof… creepy…" Gar murmured, extracting the camera and pointing it back towards the others.
Raven suddenly froze and spun on her heel, her eyes cautious. Gar chuckled and his breath could be heard as he went to query her.
She held up her index finger and shushed him, "I heard something."
Vic, Kory and Dick all paused too, turning back around to look at Raven, a most unlikely candidate to be spooked by sounds in a place like this.
"What?" Kory whispered, already edging closer to Dick and lightly touching his arm,
Raven shook her head slightly, "I don't know… sounded like… distant whispers or voices…"
"Could it have been like the wind whistling?" Vic voiced, shining his flashlight directly at the end of the hallway to see if anyone was hiding in the darkness to confirm Raven's suspicions.
The dark haired girl paused and chewed on her lower lip as if contemplating that theory. She sighed after a long moment and shrugged, relaxing her form, "Mm… I guess it could have been."
"Maybe it was ghosts." Gar piped up, earning an eye roll from Raven,
"I was actually more so thinking along the lines of homeless people being in here who might want to murder us for barging in."
There was a bout of utter silence.
"Well, let's hope it's not that and keep going." Dick suggested, jerking his head towards the dark abyss at the end of the hallway that appeared to be their only exit from the puzzle of back rooms of the theater.
Gar reached out a loving hand and patted Raven's shoulder as he moved towards her, still holding the camera as still as he could. She squinted her violet eyes back down the hallway from the direction they had just trekked but shook her head and moved on.
There was a clicking sound as Gar put a hand up to the top of the camera, turning the light up to its brightest setting, "It's getting real dark, guys…"
"I am as prepared as I can be…" Kory muttered, tightly gripping the flashlight between her fingers.
As they approached the open blackness, their voices seemed to amplify and Gar hummed a soft sound to himself, "I have a feeling we're in the main part…"
They shuffled across the threshold and all slowed down, taking in the sight of where they found themselves now.
It was a fairly narrow space with brick walls that looked a little worse for wear but not entirely out of place considering the building as a whole.
"Oh, I think we're backstage?" Dick surmised, tilting his chin upwards and looking skyward.
Gar followed Dick's gaze and tilted the camera upward so that the lens was focusing on the roof which was now considerably higher than it had been from where they had just come.
There were structures and metal awnings where lights and sound equipment would have been back in the theater's heyday. The iron cladding had a substantial amount of rust that had built up but it was still firmly in place by the looks of it. Loose wires hung down and moved with the draught that was creeping in through gaps and cracks in the foundations of the building.
As Gar moved his camera back down, there was a flash of muted red fabric which one could only guess was the large curtain, hanging lifelessly on the spot. It was ragged and torn in places with dust giving it a whole different shade to what its original color would have been.
Against the wall, there were several wooden props and rolled up backdrops in the dock area, including a large frame of a crescent moon likely used for some kind of Shakespeare play back in the early days of the theater's operation. There were a few mannequins with some questionable fashion choices on their bodices including a corseted ball gown on one and a cheap looking pair of overalls on another.
"What d'you think that one was for?" Vic asked, gesturing towards the farmer looking mannequin.
"Maybe it's a story about a farmer and zombies and-" Gar rambled,
Raven lifted an eyebrow and held her hand up to him, "I'm just going to stop you there because… no."
"You never know, Rae! One day, a zombie will feature in a play or on Broadway or somethin'. I'm telling you!" He insisted, earning an absent, 'uh huh' from his girlfriend.
Just past the mannequins, there was a railing full of old, moth eaten costumes and clothing.
"There's more of the clothes… I wonder why they didn't take these with them when they cleared the place out." Dick queried, running his fingers against the edges of the fabric pieces.
"I suppose they probably wouldn't have had much use for them." Vic replied, lifting his shoulders in a shrug,
"Still…" Dick clicked his tongue as he stepped away from them, "could have probably donated them to a charity or orphanage or something, rather than letting them rot here."
"If it's government owned, then not a chance. We all know they wouldn't care." Raven muttered, wandering in front of the others and shining her flashlight further down where the main stage looked to be.
The rest of them, including Gar, all followed after her, interested to see what the main hub of the building would look like after years of decay.
There was a small gap through the rouge curtains, mostly drawn closed and never to be opened for a live show or play again.
Gar turned the camera to highlight the frayed rope that hung at the edge of the stage; a clear indicator of how to open the curtains up as they would have on an opening night.
There was a high pitched whistle that emerged from Gar, momentarily startling his friends,
"Dude." Gar called, zooming in on Vic for a split second, "Get the rope and open it up."
Vic's eyes brightened at the prospect of the rope still having the function to do just that. He wandered over to where Gar had been directing him and reached a hand out, gripping the rope between his fingers.
"I hope it works…" Vic mumbled,
"Why wouldn't it?" Gar asked,
His best friend shrugged, "Depends what kind of rod it's on. If it's metal and it's rusted, it might not move. If it's wood, it should possibly move without issue…"
With that explanation hanging in the air, Vic lifted his free hand and gripped the rope above where his other hand was already placed, with Gar, Kory, Dick and Raven all waiting with bated breath to see if the curtains would shift.
There was a loud, drawn out squeaking sound as Vic gave the rope a firm yank and Kory was the first to turn her head and gasp, a smile spreading across her lips as the gap in the curtains continued to grow.
Vic huffed with effort and gave the rope another sharp pull, repeating the action one final time before the jarring squeaks ceased and the curtains were swaying at the edges of the stage after being pulled open for the first time in ages. Dust particles clung to the air in puffs, visible in the thin glow of the street lights outside, filtering in through crevices in the walls and roof.
Raven's eyes grew wide as she stepped out first onto the stage, wide and overwhelming. Her mouth fell open ever so slightly and she did a small twirl as she took in the sight of what lay beyond the edge of the stage.
Kory joined her side, her eyes instantly going skyward and gawking at the high set roof and slowly dropping her chin until she was taking everything about the theater in.
Dick whistled as he shuffled up beside Kory, following her lead and scanning his eyes across the entire space, not sure what to look at first.
Vic released the rope, gave the camera a grin and lightly clapped his hand against Gar's shoulder, causing the camera to jostle a little.
It shook even more and the image became momentarily distorted as Vic and Gar scurried over to where Kory, Dick and Raven were all standing in awe.
"Holy… shit…" Vic gasped, his jaw going slack and his hands going straight to his hips as he inspected the astounding sight before them all.
The camera lifted upward from where it had been pointed at the floor at the same time Gar sucked in a breath as well.
The stage was huge, reaching from one side of the extraordinarily large room to the other. It had fallen into a state of disrepair, as was expected. The entire stage was made of wood panelling and there were gaping holes where the floorboards had become damp and rotted before inevitably breaking down.
Wood floorboards that had remained intact were wobbly and unkempt, with rough pieces of the boards sticking up.
Vic instinctively snaked his arms out around the girls as they both went to walk around, "Careful, girls. The last thing we need is someone fallin' through the stage floor…"
Kory smiled sweetly and patted his cheek, "Thank you, big brother… we will mind our footing."
Vic scrunched his face up at her but dropped his arms and kept half an eye on them as they went to explore and stepped further out onto the apron section of the stage. There were a few light fixtures surrounding the very edge, broken and unlikely to be restored, even if someone tried.
Beyond the stage was the real magnificence however.
Directly in front of the stage was a small cordoned off area that would have served as the pit; a base section for members of the orchestra to perform, with a few leftover folded up chairs scattered across the floor.
Beyond that, there were rows upon rows of seats that had clearly been there for a very long time. They appeared deflated from the padding beneath the withered burgundy upholstery having flattened out due to utter disregard.
The seats that were directly beyond the pit was the orchestra level; the lowest seating choice that there was within the entire auditorium. A long stretch of dark carpet lined the wide aisle that was situated between the stalls, right down the middle of the floor.
When Gar shifted the light on his camera up a little bit, there was a small glimpse of the double door exit at the end of the aisle.
He lifted the camera up so that he could catch a shot of the higher seating level which would be known as the mezzanine level. The half floor was about midway up towards the ceiling, with rows of seats looking in the same state of disrepair as the ones the group were closer to from where they hovered on the stage.
The mezzanine level had seating that ascended at an angle so audience members would have been able to see the show as clearly as possible, no matter where they chose to sit. There were two sets of steps that led towards the exit on the mezzanine section that were situated in the middle area with a section of seating between them. The railings for each set of steps were incredibly rusted and looked as though they would crumble if someone tried to use them for support now.
Tilting the camera back even more, Gar zoomed in on the highest level of the auditorium which happened to be the balcony level. It was the closest level to the ceiling whilst still being a large way off from it. The seats up there were barely visible on camera since Gar couldn't seem to get the right angle on account of the level height compared to where he stood.
"I wonder if there are stairs to get up to those levels…" Gar murmured, more to himself than anyone else in particular.
Panning the camera to the centre of the balcony level a little more, he highlighted the small box room at the very top, serving as a place where members of the audience could enter or exit from.
Gar turned the camera to the left completely, lighting up the boxes where only two seats per box were situated.
"That's where the fancy folk woulda sat." Vic commented as he wandered into the camera's frame, moving his flashlight around to get a better look around at things for himself,
The camera's image blurred for a second and it jostled as Gar spun it around in his hand so that the lens was on his own grinning face for the time being, "This place is so cool… it's just so… old…"
Gar's eyes went skyward as he peered up at the roof of the theatre which looked extremely neglected, "You can see the moon, straight outta the roof…"
He rapidly turned the camera back around once more so the lens was recording what he had previously mentioned. There in the middle of the roof was a pretty sizable hole, with loose wiring and wood pieces hanging and dangling from it.
"It kind of looks like it fell through…" Dick mentioned from off camera where he was staring up intently at it as well, "Probably due to rain and damp setting in, causing it to fall apart."
Gar hummed in agreement with his friend, "Definitely feels like this place has just been left to the elements."
He swung the camera away from the hole as the sound of wooden floorboards creaking echoed around the entire room. The camera landed on Vic who was trying his best to carefully make his way down the steps at the edge of the stage to get to the ground level of the auditorium.
"Vic, man! Shh!" Gar hissed, a snort of laughter slipping from his lips as well,
Vic pulled a face in his best friend's direction and shrugged his shoulders, flailing his arms around wordlessly, "Uh hello! I can't exactly help it, grass stain!"
Raven smirked as she walked into the frame and lightly descended the steps to follow after Vic as well, barely making a sound as she moved.
"See? Rae didn't make it creak." Gar scoffed, keeping the camera steady as Kory and Dick followed suit and carefully made their way down the steps, with minimal creaking sounds,
Vic blew a raspberry and cast a look over his shoulder, "Rae is half my height and weight; obviously she didn't make it creak." Vic replied, earning a small giggle from the woman in question,
Gar chuckled and followed his friends, the camera jolting left and right a little as he bobbed along the length of the stage and down the stairs.
As his feet touched the carpeted ground of the main floor of the theater, Gar sucked in a gasp, "Ew! The carpet is… super soft… but not in a good way."
Dick peered back at him and grimaced, "Yeah… I'd say it's the damp that's got in… it feels too soft."
Kory glanced down at the floor and rocked up onto her toes a little, "There is likely a lot of mold in this place, including the flooring… I suggest we do not linger for too long…" She mumbled, quietly as she wandered after Raven who had already made her way up along the middle aisle and was casting her eyes to the rows of seats, using the flashlight in her hand as a guide.
"It's definitely not been kept well… you can smell the stale odor in the air and the damp is ridiculous." Dick muttered, turning his head to look around,
"I feel like I need to take a shower. That's how the air in here makes me feel." Vic admitted,
"I guess that's what really old places will do…" Gar sighed, "It's a shame they don't revamp some of these places. There are so many buildings across America that just get left to die and… it's unbelievable since the government could do a lot with some of them."
Vic and Dick both made individual sounds of agreement but a sudden squeal from Kory had them all snapping their necks in her direction.
"Kory?" Dick called, concern laced in his tone,
Gar swiveled the camera around to see Kory hugging herself and cringing as she shifted from foot to foot, her eyes on the stage, "Apologies…" She huffed and blew her bangs away from her face, which was growing considerably red with embarrassment, "There… there was a rat that ran along the stage."
Dick exhaled in relief but smiled softly at her whilst Vic released his own breath and placed his hands on his hips, "Girl, you gave me a heart attack!"
Gar chuckled from behind the camera as Kory lifted her shoulders in defense, "You would not be saying that if it had been a ghost!"
"Rat… ghost… they're a little different, Kory." Gar teased,
The redhead pulled a face at him and crossed her arms over her chest, "Well, I saw movement and thought it was something but… it turned out to be… well, a rat."
Raven smirked and shook her head good naturedly at her best friend before turning her gaze to her boyfriend, "Have you got any history on this place, Gar?"
He whistled in response and his voice grew slightly louder, "Babe, do I. I managed to find out a lot of stuff about this place online." Gar wandered closer to Raven, with the others following suit and crowding in a little so that Gar wasn't shouting and alerting the attention of any unwanted visitors.
Spinning the camera around in the palm of his hand, Gar took a deep inhale, ensuring the other four were all on camera, "So, apparently, the Adonis Theater first opened all the way back in 1805 and was home to some of the most classical of plays and shows. It had a lot of Shakespeare's plays that took place cos' apparently 1800's American's loved that crap."
Raven narrowed her eyes at him and lifted a brow, "Shakespeare was hardly crap."
"They study him in schools, Rae."
"Yeah… because he was and still is an infamous icon in literature, Gar."
Gar made a 'psh' sound and waved his hand around dismissively, "Sure, he was great, if you like books and stuff."
Raven blinked her eyes in disbelief and looked at the others who were all trying their best not to laugh at the sheer blasphemy that Gar seemed to be voicing.
He continued, unfazed whilst giving Raven a cheeky wink, "Anyways… it was a fairly popular theater on account of its location. It's always been in the middle of the city center, like it still is now. A lot of other theaters in the area were more secluded and didn't get as much publicity whereas this one did, all because it was right in front of people." He took a breath, "It sold out shows and plays on a regular basis but it apparently had like… loads of tragedies and misfortune."
Kory clasped her hands together, clearly riveted by the historical facts Gar was offering them all, "Like?"
"So, in 1821 there was a huge fire that destroyed the majority of the theater. They had to pay an absolute fortune to get it rebuilt but the community felt it was necessary as it was almost like a landmark to the city. They paid all this money to get it all fixed up, only for another fire to break out about 10 or so years later in 1835."
"Surely that wasn't just a coincidence." Dick surmised, rubbing his chin in thought, "That had to have been some kind of arson attack."
Gar shrugged his shoulders, "There were no articles or reports saying that it was. A lot of people weren't surprised considering the foundation and main structure were made mostly from wood."
"I guess…" Dick murmured, shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans.
"So, despite the fires that kept happening cos' there were more throughout the entire time they were operational, the theater stayed open and thriving for the better part of 100 years. It eventually closed in 1962 when this guy who got a hold of the property, went bankrupt and the theater went up for sale but no one ever jumped in on it."
"I suppose people got bored of theaters in the mid 1900's…" Vic commented, folding his arms against his chest and leaning his hip up against one of the aisle seats on the end of a row.
"I think it was more… stuff was getting better and more advanced and the interest just kinda… fizzled out a bit which is crazy because you look at Broadway… people always go and watch something."
"They kind of shook the theater scene up since then and Broadway is… a whole other ball game anyway." Raven murmured,
"So… if it has been abandoned due to neglect and bankruptcy, why would they not simply demolish the building?" Kory asked,
"Apparently, due to building restrictions, they can't tear it down. It has something to do with how old it is and the structural design, I think." Gar mumbled, his brows creasing as he tried to remember the specifics.
He cleared his throat several times before he continued, "It closed its doors in 1933 but… supposedly, there are a few individuals who… hung around."
"Are you talking ghosts?" Vic checked, getting a little jumpy as he peered around the darkness surrounding them,
"Mhm… so, during the theater's operation, there were several deaths that happened, with all of them being covered or explained away really well. It was super hard to even find confirmation articles about them." He paused and slid his phone out of his pocket with the free hand that was not clinging onto the camera, "The first to die was actually a member of staff; a cleaner, I believe it was. His name was Alfred Cumiko and he was apparently working after the theater had closed for the night and was cleaning up but there was a power cut just as he was working in the foyer. He was so shocked that he slipped down the stairs and fell all the way to the bottom. He wasn't discovered until 12 hours later when staff started to get in for their morning shifts. His neck had snapped during the fall and he'd bled a lot from a head wound."
"Holy shit…" Vic gasped, each of their faces holding a look of absolute horror and disgust,
"Did they... Was it an accident or?" Dick continued,
Gar shook his head, "Nope. Apparently it was just a freak accident. But then, in 1879, a little girl was watching a play with her parents and she was in one of the boxes up there." He explained, minutely jerking the camera in the direction he spoke of, "People say her name was Anna and she was maybe around 7 or 8 years old. Midway through the show, she got up and leaned closer to the edge to try and see better but she lost her balance and tumbled right over the edge. She fell straight down and hit the floor and was pronounced dead minutes afterwards. Some say that people witnessed her smack her head as she fell past the lower box underneath the one she was in with her parents."
"Jeez…" Raven hushed, her face contorting to a look of dread, whilst Kory covered her mouth with her hand,
Gar nodded his head and looked back at them, "Right? How fucking awful is that?"
"God, that… really gives this place a different vibe…" Vic mentioned, looking behind him at the eerie dark blanket surrounding them as they stood together in the middle of the wide aisle.
"Dude, that's not even the worst one." Gar warned, shooting him a wary glance,
"How is it not?" Dick interjected,
"Well, things were kind of on the up and there hadn't been any accidents or deaths or anything like that since Anna. But, then in 1954… there was a huge storm going on outside the theater one night whilst a show was in full swing. They could hear thunder rumbling and stuff but no one thought anything of it and just got super into the show on stage. But then, lightning hit the roof of the theater and part of the roof completely caved in and fell through, crushing and killing about 23 people and injuring way more."
"It is like this building was cursed from the beginning." Kory squeaked, her eyes shifting left and right as if she thought something was going to sneak up on them,
Gar shrugged, "Maybe it was." He paused, "After that, they put the theater up for sale and stopped shows but that hole never got fixed which is why there's still damage up there."
"And I'm assuming the guy came and bought it but then went bankrupt in '62." Vic assumed,
Nodding his head, Gar grappled with the camera so that he was behind it once more and the lens was just focusing on the other four.
"Pretty much."
"Wow… that's a sadder history than I thought it would be." Raven commented, tugging lightly at the hem of her jacket, as if feeling a chill.
Gar hummed in agreement, "Supposedly, people who have visited and explored this place before have said they felt… presences around them."
"Well shit, yeah, I'm not surprised. You've probably got a damn army of ghosts in this whole place!" Vic exclaimed, wincing as Kory immediately elbowed him in the ribs,
"Do not say it like that! You may anger any spirits that do dwell here." Kory scolded, looking around at the shadows, as if waiting to see someone.
"In some cases, people have said they've heard whistling which is believed to be from Alfred. He used to sing and whistle when he was doing his cleaning rounds after the theater closed for the night. And, sometimes, there's a scratching sound in the main foyer as if someone is sweeping the floors."
Kory flinched and pressed the palms of her hands to her cheeks, "Oh…" She groaned, the fear evident on her face,
"What else?" Dick asked, giving his girlfriend a comforting squeeze on her waist but directing his question at Gar,
"People have felt a hand on their backs and there have been noises like furniture being moved around… uh there's been reports of doors like slamming shut with no one else in the building… oh and…" He paused and peaked at Raven for a brief moment, "Some people have heard voices and whispers as well."
Her indigo eyes widened a fraction and whatever color was in her cheeks, quickly drained and she stared at him for a long moment, "What?"
Gar made a small noise behind the camera, "Yeeeah… I did say it could be ghosts but you rolled your eyes at me."
"Well, then I didn't know anyone had died here, Gar." She hissed, narrowing her eyes before shivering, "That has made me feel really weird."
"Sometimes you can hear a really thin scream as well which is said to be Anna as she plummeted over the railing of the box which… really hoping we don't hear that or I may actually cry." Gar explained,
"Uh, yeah, ditto-" Vic murmured back, his face stricken with concern that the sound may occur,
"Shh." Dick hushed, holding up the hand that wasn't on Kory's waist.
The five of them stood there for a minute, with only the deafening silence to fill the void.
"What?" Kory whispered, her sharp emerald eyes on Dick's expression of concentration,
He didn't answer her straight away. He kept his palm up and turned his head upwards towards the mezzanine level which they couldn't see as well as when they were on the stage.
"I swear to God and… I'm not joking either… I just heard like… feet shuffling on carpet and I'm pretty sure it came from the mezzanine level."
Vic's eyes got impossibly wide, "No, you did not."
"I'm serious." Dick affirmed, his face completely void of any humor.
"Shh, shh…" Gar quietened them, panning the camera upwards so that the frame was filled with an image of the railings and the edge of the level.
The camera wobbled a little from where the five of them were waiting nervously with bated breath, to see if someone or something would emerge from the shadows. Gar turned his camera light to it's full brightness, revealing a few of the seats but after another minute or so of pure silence and hesitation, he directed it back at his friends.
"That's so freaky…" Gar whimpered,
"I promise you… it was like someone was doing this-" Dick paused and rubbed the soles of his shoes against the dingy carpet, creating a fabric friction sound, "But it stopped as soon as I mentioned it."
"How about we go into the lobby and look around… I don't know why but this particular part of the theater is giving me super creepy vibes now." Vic suggested, already making his way towards the exit,
"Good idea…" Raven replied, casting a look over her shoulder as she followed after him, with Kory and Dick following the two immediately after.
The camera jostled back and forth as Gar jogged after the others so that he wouldn't be left in the auditorium on his own.
Together, they headed towards the large square archway where both double doors were jammed open, leading into the lobby area of the theater. It was a little more lit up than where they had just been, on account of the street lights outside filtering in through exposed glass panels and giving them some extra illumination.
Gar wandered right up to the front where the main doors were boarded up with planks of wood before he spun on his heel so that he could capture everything in front of them on the camera in his hands.
In the very middle of the lobby, there was a very sleek looking grand staircase that led to a small upper foyer before splitting off into two separate staircases; one presumably leading to the balcony level and one leading to the mezzanine section.
To the left side of the area, there was a mahogany stained rounded counter that had the word 'Tickets' above it on the wood paneled wall. It wasn't flashy or shiny and new considering it had been closed for a long time and if anything, held a simplicity that was rarer to find in the present day.
To the right side of the lobby, there was a square shaped bar, with bottles stacked on the numerous shelves behind. There were not many glass bottles and some that were on the shelf were empty and sitting on their sides. Some were smashed, with glass pieces littered across the countertop. There were several stools that were dotted along the outer side of the counter, each consisting of the damp and dank upholstery that the theater seats had as well.
"They had simple wants in this place. There's the stairs leading up to the other levels, a ticket counter and a bar." Gar stated,
Vic chuckled as he wandered over to the bar and peered over the counter, "I mean… would you really want anything else from a theater?"
Gar snorted in response and panned the camera across to the stairs, making his way closer to check them out for himself. As he approached, his disappointment was evident from the audible groan that escaped his throat from behind the camera.
"Damn it." He cursed, zooming in on the upper staircases which were both in a total state of disrepair. The floorboards had fallen through completely on both sides to the point that no one would have a chance of reaching the higher levels of the theater, no matter how nimble and careful.
"What?" Vic called, only really half paying attention to what Gar was doing.
"The stairs leading up to the mezzanine and the balcony are completely wrecked. I was hoping to get a cool shot from up there." Gar huffed, resetting the angle of the camera.
"Aw, diddums…" Vic mocked, flashing a grin at the camera as Gar spun around to direct it at him.
Kory, Raven and Dick all made their way back over from where they had been inspecting the ticket counter.
"Anything of interest?" Gar queried,
Raven shook her head, "Some old show ticket stubs but otherwise just a lot of dust and rusted keys in one drawer."
Gar gasped, "Rae! Did you save the-"
"Ticket stub? Yes, obviously. You would have complained forever if I didn't. It's in my bag." She scoffed, offering him that soft expression that was reserved for only a few people in her life.
"So… what should we do now? We've checked out pretty much all of what we can…" Dick murmured,
"Well, we could-"
Gar was cut off abruptly by a sudden sound that jarred each and every one of them.
The sound of heavy footsteps on wooden floorboards made them all freeze in terror.
"What… is that?" Kory whispered, her eyes and flashlight on the double doors they entered through from the main show area,
The group dipped into silence once more, waiting for something else to happen which didn't take long. Several more creaks echoed around the building, some drawn out and long as if the boards were groaning.
The five of them remained rooted to the spot and could only stare at one another, waiting to see what would happen next.
Their heads all snapped upwards along with Gar fumbling to turn the camera upwards, the lens focusing in on the ceiling which to anyone else appeared normal.
A slow, chilling shuffling sound followed by an unnerving dragging sound was all that could be heard for the next 10 seconds. And then, it stopped altogether.
The silence swelled in the space around them, became suffocating and dizzying, the longer it stretched on.
"Um… tell me I didn't imagine that." Raven mumbled, even her face contorted into shock.
"Yeah… definitely didn't imagine it." Dick breathed, also shining the beam of his flashlight around, trying to spot something that wasn't quite right.
Vic jerked his chin back in the direction from which they had come, "Let's go back that way and start making our way outta here."
"I second that idea." Kory whimpered, bringing her forearms to her chest,
Leading the way, Vic slowly stepped across the threshold of the large archway and began wandering back down the long stretch of aisle.
Dick followed after, keeping his own walk slow and cautious, with a hand gripping one of Kory's and peering around to ensure they weren't about to be accosted by some group of thugs.
Raven walked just ahead of Gar, trailing behind the other three. Her face was an unfamiliar expression but it was clear that she was far from calm at what they had all been hearing in the last few minutes.
The camera's image shook slightly as Gar speedily traipsed behind the four of them, his quickening breaths audible over the mic of the device.
As the group made it around half way down the aisle, Gar abruptly stopped in his tracks and the camera quivered ever so slightly more.
"Um… guys?" He squeaked,
Vic turned his head from the front of their huddle and lifted an eyebrow at his best friend, "What?"
"Y'see the curtain?" Gar continued, his voice strangely wobbly,
The four of them all craned their necks until they were staring up at the stage where the maroon curtain made of old velvet had been drawn together like when a show had finished for the evening and the hems of the drapery were gently swaying back and forth, as if moved immediately before the group had walked in. It was a minute movement but clear to anyone who was focusing on it.
"Please tell me you drew them together before we went out into the lobby area…" Raven murmured, her eyes wide,
"Babe, I wish." Gar replied,
"Then… who pulled them across?" Kory peeped, her hands right by her mouth in surprise,
The five of them dipped into an uneasy silence.
"Well… maybe one of us did and… just can't remember?" Dick voiced,
"Or… maybe we just… I don't know… didn't pull them back as much as we thought?" Raven added, with an expression that didn't exactly say she believed her own words.
"Nuh uh. I pulled that rope and they fully opened up." Vic firmly rejected, looking spooked to say the least.
"Perhaps we should just… leave." Kory suggested, already tugging on Dick's sleeve to prompt them to follow her advice,
"Yeah, I'm gonna agree with Kory actually." Gar stated, the camera wobbling again as he started moving towards the stage again, nudging Raven as he approached her.
The five of them hurried towards the stage before scurrying up the steps at the side that they had tiptoed down just 10 minutes beforehand. When they reached the space, each of them treaded carefully to avoid falling through the holes that Vic had warned them about earlier.
"Weirdness aside, this is a super interesting place." Gar mumbled as he took a lasting shot of the theatre, slowly panning from left to right to capture the building in it's abandoned glory. The age and neglect had clearly taken its toll on the architecture, as well as the interior of what was once such a grand place, filled to the brim with entertainment, laughter and warmth.
The walls were peeled and dank, withered and derelict as it was completely abandoned and left to fall apart. And yet, there was an odd sense of beauty in it still.
The building provided an insight; a small peek into a life they had never known; simpler times filled with simpler joys than they could comprehend.
It was a shame that it had been completely disregarded as it had.
"It's… sad… that it's been left to rot like this. It would have been nice to have something so old, preserved as a point of interest." Raven murmured, taking a brief moment to admire their surroundings, amidst their overall bubble of unease.
"Guys… can we, i don't know… admire the decrepit building once we're safely back in the car?" Vic urged, his voice wavering ever so slightly.
Gar swung the camera around so that the lens was facing the four of them. He took a deep inhale, audible from behind the camera as if he was preparing to speak.
Suddenly, a loud sharp bang echoed through the building, the jarring sound ricocheting off of the walls.
"Um… what the fuck was that?" Dick hissed, his blue eyes wide whilst Kory dug her nails into her cheeks, looking completely stricken,
"That noise… I heard." Vic whispered, turning his body towards the exit,
"Please can we leave?" The redhead pleaded, already stepping backwards in the direction from which they had initially come upon gaining access to the building.
"Was it… the wind or-" Raven began theorizing,
Another abrupt bang rang out and it seemed that the sound had grown closer.
"Okay, go… go, go, go." Gar chanted, shooing his free hand that wasn't gripping the camera at them, motioning for them to hurry up.
The group didn't need convincing.
Kory headed back down the labyrinth of hallways first, with Dick extremely close to her side, ensuring that she didn't accidentally separate from them during her hasty retreat.
Vic jogged behind the couple, the glowing beam from his flashlight flickering all around the hallways as they turned left and right and left again.
Raven followed quickly behind him, glancing back several times to make sure that Gar was still there. The camera's image shook violently as Gar picked up the pace and reached out to grab Raven's hand so that they wouldn't stray far from one another.
"Seriously… what was that?" Raven huffed, eyeing the camera but speaking to her boyfriend,
Gar sucked in a breath, trying to catch it as they continued to bolt towards the room they had entered through, "I have no clue… I think… I think the bangs were doors."
"But… who was banging them?"
"That's the part I'm confused on too but to be honest, I really don't want to stick around to find out."
Their combined breathing was ragged and labored as they rounded one last corner and headed straight into the dressing room that they had first located. The camera continued to jostle back and forth, the picture blurring with the rapid movement.
Vic shoved the mannequin that was standing in the middle, out of the way of their exit route. It toppled over, thumping against the floor as it impacted.
The larger man shuffled through the door first, being as speedy as possible. He reached a hand back through, offering it to whoever was next in line to flee the building.
Kory stepped forward and intertwined her fingers with Vic's allowing him to help her through. Dick lifted his chin and looked at Raven next, opening his mouth to speak to her-
Gar exhaled loudly and grinned up at the lens of the camera, with the other four trailing after him in the background, all giving the camera their own patient glances.
"Well… that was… interesting…" Gar huffed, "Sorry for cutting you off before guys… we were just trying to get out quickly."
"And now, we're making a beeline for the car which Vic parked down the street." Dick added, his fingers laced with Kory's whilst she curled into his side as they walked along the sidewalk.
"That was so freaky…" Vic muttered, dragging a hand across his face,
"I'd like to know two things; who was banging the doors and who closed the curtains after we left the room?" Raven queried, folding her arms over her chest, "We didn't even hear the curtains and when Vic opened them up, they squeaked like crazy. We would have heard it."
Vic gave a firm nod, "Exactly! Y'all, I did not care for the creepy noises that started coming out left, right and center."
The five of them continued walking down the street, the gleam from the street lights washing over them as they passed each and every one lined along the side of the road.
"I did not like anything beyond Raven hearing whispers." Kory mumbled, pulling a face,
"Oh yeah, that was really weird." Raven gasped, turning to peer at Kory, "And it was really close too…"
"I think we can safely say, it is not a place we'll be going back to anytime soon because… oof… creepy as hell." Gar grunted, "Though, it might not have been ghosts. Someone or some people may well have been living there."
"Yeah, well, I'm glad we didn't stay to find out which one it was." Dick sighed, running the fingers of his free hand through his dark tresses.
The faint sound of cars zipping past could be heard via the mic of Gar's camera and the group paused at a set of traffic lights, whilst they waited for the cars to stop and for the green light to blink.
"On that note, you guys… I think I'll call it there. We're super tired and we're gonna get in the car and go home and try to ignore the eerie shit we heard tonight." Gar began, "But, thank you so much for watching this video. I really hope you enjoyed seeing us be scared shitless."
"Apparently, it happens more frequently than you would think." Vic snorted, turning his head to check on the traffic status.
Gar chuckled and continued, "If you did like this one, make sure you give it a thumbs up and if you really liked the video, go ahead and hit the subscribe button too. Otherwise, we will see you in the next one!"
Kory lifted her fingers and wriggled them in a wave whilst Raven simply offered the camera a small smile and a nod of her head. Dick gave the viewers a smirk and dipped his chin towards the lens whilst Vic merely winked and gave them a thumbs up.
Gar brought his free hand up and made a two fingered salute gesture, "Peace!"
