"Faster!..." The figure moaned moaned as the other person worked its magic on bringing pleasure onto the person for her.
The figure moaned in pleasure and brought the woman in for heated kiss.
"Erzaaaaa!"
Erza jumped and dropped the book she was reading and equipped her swords before Natsu slammed into the room, fire spewing everywhere.
"I wanna see Lucy now, you bastard!" Natsu yelled before pinpointing where the sleeping blonde is.
It didn't take long before Erza gave Natsu couple of bruises on his head. "Learn to be more quiet!" The redhead harshly whispered.
"But you never let us see Lucy. Not even Mira could see her." Natsu whined.
Erza slowly sighed before making sure that Lucy is still asleep. "That's because y'all keep coming at the worst time possible. Try again when the blonde is actually awake."
"Oh... Can I wake her up then? She'll be awake then." Natsu grinned with his innocent friendly smile.
"Go ahead and try that, and I'll pull out all of your teeth out." Erza threatened, crossing her arms.
Natsu unconsciously covered his mouth, not wanting his teeth to be pulled out by an angry redhead, followed by a nervous laugh.
Seeing that her message had been received, she allowed herself to calm down a little. "Come back tomorrow at noon. She'll be awake then."
Natsu jumped. already excited. "Ooo! Really?!" He exclaimed.
Erza let her silence speak for her.
Natsu grinned. "I miss Lucy. Can't wait to see her. I'll bring Gray, Cana, Mira, levy, Gajeel, La-"
"Just bring Gray. A crowd would be too overwhelming for Lucy right now." Erza quickly interupted the fire mage. And made sure that it sounded like an order.
Natsu paused for a moment for grinning. "Alright then, the pervert will be coming to visit Lucy as well. I'll be sure to let him know... After I punch him in the face."
Erza expected the dragonslayer to leave her place, but she grew slightly angry when he laid on the couch and immediately fell asleep.
"I didn't say you could sleep here!" Erza yelled as she kicked the dragonslayer harshly out of her room, followed by a weak cry of rejection.
...
Lucy had long ago woken up by the noises of the dragonslayer. But she pretended to sleep, so she could eavesdrop on their conservation.
She felt a tang of happiness when Na tau mentioned that they were worried. But she still felt like a burden.
But what set her off the most was how Erza saw her as weak. Thinking that she couldn't handle a large crowd and being overwhelmed... Like, what would the blonde do?
She felt a little angry about that.
Lucy is NOT weak...she keeps telling herself.
After Erza had kicked the mage out, the redhead walked in to see if the blonde was still sleeping. After another second, she walked to the living room and continued the book that she was previously reading.
Several minutes later, Lucy sat up, and listened silently to the pages flipping every other minute.
While listening to the redhead mage flipping and reading her book, Lucy was steadily growing more angrier as her thought lingers on the fact that Erza doesn't really trust her.
Why, the blonde asked herself. Was it because she made poor decisions? Or was it because of the fact that Erza thinks she 100% knows what's right for her?
The different confrontations that the elite mage had provided, gave the blonde more insights about the reality of the world.
Yes, the world is so cruel, and one must ask themselves this question: why are people so cruel?
Lucy only had one answer for this question back then, and it was that the people only care about themselves and the things that they only care about.
And Lucy was definitely not part of her Father's things that he cared about.
But now, she was beginning to have a new set of answers for that question.
It was trust.
The blonde looked down at her arms and gazed at the jagged lines that she created herself. Borderline healed, Lucy touched scar and wondered if healing and trust can be conjoined...
Ever since her mother's death, she lost trust in her father the moment she drew blood from the consecutive hits from the man. Would she ever be healed enough to trust him again?
If she was healed enough, would Erza trust her to actually have a mind of her own? To have things the way they were before?
The blonde looked up and wondered what she can do. Since everything is limited when she is under the most strict mage in the guild care.
Then there was a loud knock followed by a desperate voice. "Erza! It's an emergency! Master needs to speak with you immediately! Mira can watch Lucy while you're gone!"
Lucy listened silently as she listened to the clamor of the two mages.
Couple minutes later, it was silent. The air stood still as the blonde listened for anymore 'emergency notice' or whatever.
Then the door to her bedroom opened, revealing the barmaid. "Oh you're awake. Thought you'd be sleeping."
"I... was woken up by the noises y'all was making." Lucy quickly said. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes. Everything is okay." Mira smiled a little. "Don't worry about it."
Lucy frowned a little. "If it is concerning the guild, I would want to know."
"Just some strong mages is attacking the members of the guild. Should be fine now that Erza will be stopping them."
Lucy sighed a little before standing up from the bed. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" Mira smiled, glad that Lucy is faring well.
"Is it hard to trust someone again?"
Mira frowned slightly at the question. "Trust is very vulnerable and fragile. It would be hard to trust someone when they had broke it in the first place."
"Had you trusted someone and they betrayed that trust?" The blonde asked.
Mira looked at the young girl before sitting on the bed, gesturing the blonde to sit next to her. "Many times. But most often are under the circumstances of mischief and following orders and other stuff along those lines."
Lucy giggled a little. "Makes me think of Natsu when you mentioned mischief."
"Indeed. Natsu is hard to trust for something really important." Mira smiled. "But I trust Natsu as a friend. Someone you can count on."
Lucy slowly begun to understand what the barmaid was talking about. "What about forgiveness?"
"Forgiveness... is harder. One of the things you can get when being trusted. But remember this: One can forgive, but they will never forget what happened."
Lucy remained silent to those words, and allowed them to echo in her mind, attempting to comprehend the meaning of each words spoken.
"Lucy... I know about the situation between you and your father, and I agree that Erza was in no position to throw your father in prison. But I know why she did it."
Lucy looked at the mage, atlas remaining silent, wanting to hear more.
"Confrontation is usually the best medicine to help with your situation. I think you should talk to your father." Mira's tone was stern yet soft.
Lucy stood silently, wondering what she would even say if she were to approach the man behind iron bars. But she knew that Mira was right. She needed to face her fears.
"Yeah... Why is Erza making me feel like a prisoner here? And I don't want it to say it's because of my own good." Lucy looked at the mage, wanting to know the answer.
Mira let out a small laugh. "I was surprised when I figured it out too. Erza isn't very honest with her feelings, or maybe dense. One or the other. Perhaps both?" She asked herself with her right hand on her chin.
"Huh?"
"Say, did she try anything unusual to you?"
"What?"
"Anything kinky?" Mira asked with sparkles in her eyes
"What's kinky?"
"Did she try to ki-"
Mira stopped herself before she got to excited. "A-Anyway."
Lucy nervously laughed with a smile smiled, then frowned. "You think you could convince Erza to let me out more?"
"I could, if you'll promise me that you'll confront your fears. The sooner you do it, the freer you will be."
"Free?"
Mira nodded. "Right now, your fear kept you in a cage. Trapped, with no where to go. Confronting your fear will undoubtedly free you. And I'm speaking from experience."
"Experience? You mean when Phantom attacked?"
Mira nodded. "Ever since I lost my little sister, I let fear control me. And that fear prevented from using my magic. During that battle, I confronted my fear and refused to let it cage me any longer."
"You make is sound easy."
"I was scared. Pressured. Pushed to the edge. It was not the best feeling to be honest. But when I decided that I had enough... that was when I overcame my fear, and it felt amazing."
"I see..."
Mira looked at the young blonde and smiled. "You don't have to do it today or tomorrow. But do it when you're ready. Just remember, the sooner you do it, the freer you will be. Ever since you ran away, you lived with the that feeling, the fear, the anger, everything. Talking to the person responsible will most undoubtedly help, if not making it worst."
"Worst?" Lucy was getting a little worried at that last part.
"From what Erza had told me, your father seems different. I doubt he will continue to be a piss."
"Right.."
Mira smiled and slowly went in to wrap her arms around the blonde. "You're not alone. You have us, and we are by your side.'
Lucy shivered slightly at the touch, but soon leaned forward toward the touch. Mira's words were like venom, so intoxicating and soft.
...
The next day, Lucy stared at the sleeping mage as she slept, riddled with minor injuries from the emergency fight that occurred the night before. Mira had long left, as she was needed to care for the other mages and serve them booze that they would undoubtedly want after a battle.
The blonde stood in silence, replaying Mira's words over and over. Confronting the fears that holds the key to her nightmares. She understood it well.
Her eyes slowly drifted to the window that stood behind the couch that Erza collapsed on. Seems that the redhead needed the sleep, as that she had taken on many all-nighters making sure the blonde was safe. Thought it was not 100% necessary.
Through the small window panel was the vast array of stars glistening in the sky. Glowing so brightly and free, Lucy wondered what the stars would feel like if it were suddenly caged, with no freedom to radiate such brilliance that it does now.
Lucy turned towards the door and looked at the sleeping redhead, seeing that the mage is deep within her sleep. She took this opportunity to silently get herself dressed and grabbed her keys.
...
Cold wind against the dead of night
Darkness battering the shadows of light
Rays of light shining down upon
Silence embracing life
Comfort is born from the serenity of such silence
It all felt so peaceful as Lucy stood next to a large lone tree. She really never paid attention to the life in front of her. Mira was right. She had been letting her fear blind her and control her. She wants to take control of her own life now. She wants to experience this feeling again and again. The intoxicating feeling of serenity and nature surrounding her.
Lucy will follow Mira's words. And she'll talk to her so-called father and settle this one for all. The only thing is what should she be expecting? What should she even say to him?
Guess Lucy will have to improvise as she stands before her father.
A/N: What do you think will happen between Lucy and her father?
