HELLO again, I've finally returned with a new chapter of one of my own favorite stories so enjoy!

notice: this chapter will be rated M for safety

Valhalla, hall of the heroes and brave warriors whom the gods selected carefully in the midst of battles and waging wars. the Valkyries, hovering over the fighting Vikings with keen eyes, singing in rhythm to the horrifying war cries of the warriors. when the fight settles, they walk among the bodies of the fallen youth, choosing those who died a heroic death, those who fought with skills and those who defied death and pushed forward seeking glory, seeking a seat in Valhalla.

All the warriors in Valhalla are chosen after their fall in the battlefield, based on the way they died and the way they fought. only few selected heroes who were chosen in according to other exceptional standards, standards like…how they lived.

These exceptions were six Vikings; four men and two shieldmaidens, they were known among the Asgardians long before they died, they were those who defied horrible beings more frightening then death. dragons.

Middle earth was inhibited by primal beings long before Heimdall gave it to his most precious creations, beings that didn't accept to bow down to the gods, they were a mystery. the gods though they were animals but their intelligence and cleverness tell they are more than just animals, even some of the dragons had the powers of the gods and could have rivaled them in terms of strength, one example is the Skrill, which had Thor's ability to control lightning. terrifying beasts indeed.

These six Vikings did what the gods couldn't, tame the huge scaled lizards. Even Odin was surprised, and so were the rest of the gods except for Heimdall who felt maximum proudness of the deeds his beloved sons and daughters achieved, and he most then anyone knew what they were capable of.

Hiccup sat on a throne like chair in his castle, a mighty castle the gods gifted him in Valhalla, gazing at his cup of mead looking troubled

"Is there something bothering you my dear husband?" his wife asked from far as she approached him in a long white sleeveless dress decorated with green emeralds around the neck.

"nothing…just…" he trailed as he sighted, Astrid noticed his frustration.

"you missed toothless, didn't you?" she said smiling as she put her hand on her husband's in comfort.

"yes…where in the nine worlds could he be?" he said as his eyes darted up to the sky, which gave a clear view to the tree of life, a view you can't get in the middle earth.

After a short moment of silence, the couples heard a knock, followed by a weak shy voice.

"master Hiccup may I get in?" the mysterious person asked for permission to enter.

"sure…but before you do, call me Hiccup… just Hiccup." He made a notice.

The doors opened and a girl crept in, Astrid quickly recognized her.

"VALVAAA!" she said with a smile on her face from ear to ear as she threw her arms around the blonde slender girl.

"easy on me Astrid." The girl said between breaths as she returned Astrid's hug.

"Ahm…do you mind introducing our guest?" Hiccup addressed the tallest of the two blondes Astrid after a brief moment of weird silence.

"oh, this is Valva." Valva waved greeting shyly and Hiccup waved back "we met, during that -girls only- party that Freyja hosted in her castle."

"nice to finally meet you Valva, the gods oracle." Hiccup said welcoming, and all what Valva did was look down to her feet blushing.

"the pleasure is mine master Hiccup." She returned in a barely audible voice but Hiccup heard her clearly.

"just Hiccup…call me Hiccup." Former chief of berk said irritated, and Valva nodded.

Astrid quickly poured some of the mead from a fancy bottle shaped after the image of a dragon, and offered Valva a cup which she gladly accepted it as she took a sip and closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the valor that assaulted her tongue, nothing can be compared to Valhalla's mead.

she put the cup down and opened her mouth, sorrow in her eyes "Hiccup, I'm afraid I bring bad news."

Hiccup was worried because of the change of tone in Valva's voice, he adjusted his sitting position and nodded for her to carry on.

"the last of the six Odin gave a special entry to Valhalla had passed away" she paused for a second leaving Hiccup confused, the last of the six was Snotlout and if he passed away which is surely bad but he would join them in Valhalla, how can that be bad news, seconds later Valva continued clearing his confusion.

"but he isn't coming to Valhalla. he was given a special seat according to the way he lived, but he ended his life with the most shameful way a warrior would commit…he killed himself willingly."

The news fell like a lightning on hiccups heart, his chest tightened and his teeth gritted, his grip squeezed hard on the glassy cup which caused it to break, mead poured on the ground mixed with the blood of Hiccup's wounded hand and messed the perfect golden carpet of the castle, Astrid on the other hand gasped and put her hands on her mouth shocked, she couldn't keep her balance and her legs failed to hold her weight but thankfully she could hold on the nearest table which kept her barely standing.

A long five minutes passed, Valva couldn't stand the tense situation of shock and sadness that filled the haddock's castle, Hiccup still didn't believe what he just heard, how can it be? the proudest man among the Vikings, the one with the biggest ego and the one who valued the standards of an ideal Viking warrior so much.

"NO!" he neglected the idea "I can imagine anyone suiciding but Snotlout?! its impossible…there must be something more to it."

Hiccup stood and walked down the hall aimlessly till he reached the front gates, he then turned and walked back to the main hall where he left the girls.

"I agree with Hiccup." Astrid spoke "there must be a reason, something that justify his actions."

Valva didn't know what to say, it was not her place to suggest anything or give an opinion so she slightly bowed down as a sign or respect and excused the dragon conqueror to leave, but Hiccup didn't give her the permission.

"not yet Valva, your assistance is important" hiccup said as he scratched his chin scar, both girls stood clueless, what he meant by her assistance? What was he planning?

"Hiccup! Don't tell me you're…" Astrid approached her husband, but he grabbed her by her shoulders and cut her.

"yes Astrid, I'm planning to." He said before turning his eyes to Valva "I need to see him!"

Valva took few minutes to comprehend what Hiccup demanded her, then it hit her "w-what?! with my full respect…a-are you crazy?!" she said chocking on her words.

Hiccup was already determined and Valva could easily see it in his eyes, she looked away to Astrid for help but she had the same look as Hiccup's, she sighted.

"the dead who don't come up to Valhalla they go to…" she gulped before continuing "Helheim!"

Just the word sent shivers down Hiccup's spine, he heard when he was little tales about the gods, the tree of life, Valhalla, Asgard and of course Helheim, land of the suffering dead, the eldering used to scare the mischievous youth that their pranks will get them to Hel, and Hiccup being a trouble maker in his childhood, he heard that a lot.

"it seems easy." Hiccup said sarcastically but it wasn't the time to joke.

"HICCUP!" Astrid said in a low menacing voice.

"by the almighty Thor, it doesn't hurt to be optimist for once!" he defended himself "I have an idea"

Both girls were listening, but Hiccup just stood there for a moment before he made an obvious notice "I gotta treat my wound first ha-ha"

Astrid rolled her eyes and Valva chuckled as hiccup made his way to another hall before disappearing in one of the many rooms the castle had.

Heimdall, protector of Bifrost, the rainbow gate that connected the nine realms of the tree of life. one after noon he was sitting in his guarding station, which happened to be his castle laying his mighty sharp eyes on the nine worlds and the between voids. Many races reclaimed that Heimdall was violating their privacy but their words doesn't hold weight in front of the god's words.

"this going to be fun!" he said particularly to no one as he smiled.

Soon knocks echoed down his castle's main hall, and a man who happened to be Hiccup called "Heimdall! Mind having a small discussing?!"

With a wave from his hand, the gates opened and three humans walked in, Hiccup in front and the girls Astrid and Valva trailing behind.

"how can I be of help to You dragon master?!" Heimdall opened his arms wide welcoming his guests.

"a small favor for an old friend?!" Hiccup cleared.

"speak your mind son!" the Asgardian god stood and walked down the stairs until he was the same level as the humans, they tried to bow to show respect but Heimdall refused and followed "you are my sons and daughters…" he caught as his eyes met Valva's "ahm…not all but you are all close to me…" he put his hand on Hiccup's shoulders with a firm grasp and a serious look "…thus I will not allow this!"

"well I was hoping you…wait what?" Hiccup was confused, he lost the train of his thought and the ways he planned to gain Heimdall's help "do you know why I'm here? How?" he asked confused and surprised.

The answer didn't come from Heimdall himself but from behind, Valva answered his question "Heimdall has the sharpest eyes in the nine worlds, and that allow him to see forward in time, to see the future."

"so, he's like you?" Astrid noted.

"not exactly, oracles prophesies are destined to happen, nothing can change them… on the other hand Heimdall's ability to see the future also give him the ability to change it accordingly."

"so, you knew all along" Hiccup sighted, he can't go see Snotlout without using Bifrost, but he was not going to give up on him, it was always his nature to stand for people he cares for, whether it was toothless, his family or friends.

"if you know the future, you know well I won't stand down and I'll find a way to bypass you." Hiccup addressed the god smirking, and this made the god laugh and unsheathed his sword.

"I know, yet I can't defy the orders given by the almighty father, he strictly insisted on sealing all official routes in and outside Asgard, as well around the nine worlds."

"official?! So, they are unofficial routes and bridges." Hiccup read between the lines and Astrid agreed with him and said.

"I heard in Ragnarök some of the hostile races will infiltrate Asgard without being detected by you or the other gods, so they must have used other ways to teleport, is this what you implying?"

"I know hidden routes exist and I know each and every single one of them, they can never get passed me."

"but my prophecy is divine!" Valva exclaimed.

"so, you let them on purpose?!" Hiccup jumped to conclusion.

"I'm well aware of that, I do not understand the actions of the future me, but what is done is done."

he handed his sword to hiccup, a long sword made with silver, its edges made from gold, its hand was crafted from wood and decorated with bronze holding a jewel, a jewel like no other, it is said that jewel was formed when the seed of the tree of worlds was planted inside the dark lake.

"the prophecy foretold I shall fight without my sword, means it was missing, or…given. I believe you are destined to travel and meet your cousin for it will affect the final battle, I can't give you permission to Helheim because its ruled by Hel daughter of Loki which will be one of the main enemy forces in Ragnarök…and your cousin is there."

"does that mean our part of Ragnarök fight will be in Hel, and Snotlout is part of it as well?" Astrid gave a clever note.

"I'm afraid so" Heimdall said what the haddock couples waited.

"so, we are fighting a-against Hel?" Valva stepped closer to the group.

"THEY…they are fighting against Hel, Valva you have other duty as an oracle."

"but…" Valva tried to argue but Heimdall cut her before she said anything.

"you will meet him later, everything in time." Heimdall said leaving Valva blushing and the Berkian couples with exclamations that needs to be cleared.

"aah so, what do we do? And how we gonna get to Helheim? And most importantly, what will I need your sword for?" Hiccup flooded Heimdall with question.

"before finding you cousin, you should find another one of ur friends, someone dear to you just like your wife and son." Heimdall gave him a hint, and of course the first who came to Hiccup's mind was toothless, his eyes shone with happiness.

"but still…you didn't tell me how?"

"my eyes see all." Heimdall gave another vague hint, but Hiccup noticed his eyes turning to bright emerald green color, till they were similar to a jewel, precisely the jewel on Heimdall's sword, Hiccup understood the hint…the jewel on the sword will guide him to toothless.

Snotlout was tied to a dead tree branch in the underworld, his hands were nailed together above his head and his legs parted away, his total naked body was covered in black bruises from hard beating, scars all over his skin and few fresh cuts here and there, the only untouched part of his body was his manhood, he was happy his manly pride was safe but yet he was in a hard spot.

His red eyes scanned his surroundings, the floor was wet and with the coldness of the underworld his legs were freezing, just trying to stand was painful as the torture he was put through.

his nostrils caught a delicious smell, months passed since he ate something eatable, he turned his head toward the destination of the smell and a young woman in her early twenties appeared, she had a black wavy medium length hair, black seductive eyes with a pink appealing lips, her skin was white as snow that covered Hel, she wore a long black dress tight around the waist, and that made sure it shows her big charming cleavage, her body seemed small and fragile but looks are deceiving, she was too feminine to live in such cruel world, someone would swear she belongs to the world of gods, well she was half a god after all.

"look what have I got you my dear!" she said in a soft warm tone as she held a plate of roasted duck.

"after all these months of torturing I doubt that meat will have any taste." Snotlout complained, that same woman in front of him with a warm look and caring tone tortured him since he got down to Hel, her looks doesn't match her attitude and personality at all, Snotlout thought.

"don't be mad my dear, you left me no choice…how can a man refuse a woman as gorgeous as I am." She replied as she put the plate of food on a near table, Snotlout followed her with his eyes.

"gorgeous?!" he checked her from head to toe "sure, but you are wrong to think all it takes to capture a man's heart is a woman's body and charms."

"I don't need you heart, I need a man who would please me in bed, and give me my sons."

"HAHAHAH…YOU?! A MOTHER?" Snotlout said in a laugh, he never thought something would make him laugh in the underworld but there he was bursting in laughter.

"now…that's just rude of you Berkian." She sounded annoyed "as all living creatures, we all want successors to achieve our goals."

"no and thank you…I would rather cut my balls and throw them in the freezing ocean then having kids with you."

"I'll gladly make your wish come true." She approached him with a knife in one hand and the other hand reached between his legs and held his testicles.

"hey wait a second…I was joking." Snotlout stiffed as his heart raced, he can never predict what this girl will do.

"good boy!" she smiled to him and gave him a quick playful kiss "now enjoy your meal, and I'll wait for mine" she closed her sentence as she bit her lip and gazed down his body to where her hand was.

Snotlout didn't prepare a comeback, he just turned his eyes to the plate near them, he was hungry that he couldn't think straight, the girl released his balls and used both hands to extracts the nail that was dug on his hands and he fell on the ground, his legs were so weak, but that didn't surprise him.

"eat your full my dear, and you are welcomed to my castle tonight." She said before taking her leave, Snotlout just watched from a distance before he switched his attention to the plate of food he desired for months.
