"Yes SP," Bumblebee said annoyed, "the tech is all working properly and functioning at 100 percent..."

"... are you sur-?"

"That's it, I'm going." The young Autobot spoke with annoyance. Leaving the room, and a baffled, author pondering.

"Huh, wonder what his problem is. Probably about the lack of updates for a while... oh well! Anywho!"

Hey guys! How's everyone been the last while? Been good I hope? Been great? Great! Oh boy lotsa things happened. Where do I even start.

Finished high school, so that was one of the reasons I was gone for such a long time. Lost a dear family member too. So that hit me really hard. Kinda left me in a dark place for a bit. But anywho that's the past. We're here in the now. And right now?

I'M BACK BABY!

I know I know, it has been way way far too long since my last update-wait... when was my last update...

HOLY SHITAKE MUSHROOMS! 3 years?! Oh man I'm sorry guys. Man I just left y'all hanging there. Feelin like an ass for just up and vanishing for that long. I owe you guys a way long overdue apology.

Well I've got some news! I'mma bringing this story back! And how could I NOT?

Of Guardians and Soldiers has garnered some pretty positive and really thoughtful responses and attention as well. Thank you all for that -it means a lot that people still enjoy reading this story.

Which brings me to this point, and one of the most asked questions that many of you are asking...

Where in the hell is chapter 9?

Well, it's complicated.

Now, when I was writing this, I was thinking of how to best put this. It's been on my mind a lot. And very very frequently. With the recent release of so much more new content and material, I've been trying to find ways to incorporate it into Guardians and Soldiers. Just, there's ones tiny problem. I feel that it doesn't fit the formula. And it's a shame too cause with the recent release of volume 7 of RWBY and the 2018 Bumblebee reboot movie, I could make an entirely new version of this story! There's just so much more material to use (that and the whole 'winter maiden is Salem' theory was completely thrown out the window as well as the introduction of the gods and oh my head hurts).

That and reading my old work... there are definitely many things that I could've done better -like the fight between Bumblebee and all the Beowolves. I'm sure you guys could agree that it didn't feel right. Right? Right! Why am I saying right so much? So I've just been feeling that maybe it was time to give this a more modernized update? We'll see how this goes.

Ok, that aside, I'm going to continue this wonderful little gem of a story. It shall rise from the grave! And shall be amongst the living, once! Again!
